Chapter 6:
I had gotten changed into a light blue blouse, and a pair of light blue jeans. I made my way back into the Living area where everyone was waiting for me to get started with today's events.
" It's about time" Ginny laughed as I came in and sat down. She handed me a packet with a lot of different marks and highlighted sections.
" What's this?" I looked at her curiously.
" Its everyone's individual itinerary. Every day is mapped out for all of you." I kept looking at her like she was crazy. I mean sure I loved structure as much as any anal compulsive person, but this was about 15 pages long. Apparently I was making a face, about how I felt and she noticed.
" It's so nothing goes wrong" she said defensively." I nodded and started to flip through the packet. I laughed under my breath. There were different color highlighted marks all over the packet.
" What's with all of the color coding?" I looked around at Draco and Blaise who were both flipping through the packet as well, except Draco looked bored.
" Oh, well that's simple All of your events that you are to attend are highlighted in purple." ok, that was simple enough, but I guess I was going to be busy. " Draco's events are highlighted in Green, Blaise blue and pink for myself." Most of the events planned were group events, but I had to attend Dress shopping with Ginny, and there was a section for various planning with Draco and myself. Ginny started flipping through the packet frantically.
" This isn't confusing to anyone is it?" We all agreed that it was not confusing.
The first event was for everyone to attend dance lessons. We all got in Ginny's Prius, and she drove us into town.
" Who ever heard of Dance lessons for a wedding?" Draco laughed, as he got into the back seat of the car next to me.
" What" I smirked over at him " Afraid that you have two left feet?" He looked over at me and smirked in return.
" I'll have you know, Granger that Malfoy's are very sophisticated, and are born dancers. I just don't see the point in everyone getting lessons." He glanced over at Blaise. " Just because Blaise cant dance and doesn't want to be humiliated by his best man." Blaise looked back at Malfoy and laughed.
" Oh you are a riot" I giggled as those two started to argue about who was the better ballroom dancer. We soon pulled up to a small white building.
" Well, were here" Ginny turned off the car and stared out to the building before getting out. I was the last to get out of the car, and followed behind everyone to the door.
" After you" I stopped and stared as Draco held the door open for me. Then walked in.
" Thank you."
I looked around and the walls were bright white, the floors were white and as I looked around it is all I saw. This room was starting to give me a headache.
" Helooooo!" Came the a screechy voice of an elder lady with jet black hair that was up in a bun, and a black business suite, and black glasses.
" Were here for Dance lessons for the Weasley, Zambini wedding" Ginny said as she brought out her itinerary and started to show the lady. She however paid no mind to her. She waved her arms in the air.
" I am Madame Jezebel!" She waved her arms again and the white room that we were standing in soon became a ballroom with a ceiling much like that of the great hall. There was an orchestra in the distance, a hard wood floor, and the walls where tinted so it looked like were outside in the night sky. It was beautiful. I saw Ginny gasp with joy. Of course this was a wizarding school of dance. " Welcome to my dance studio" Madame Jezebel clapped her hands. " Now pair up!" She shouted. Ginny smiled at Blaise as he took her hand. I looked nervously at Draco, and watched as he held his hand out to me.
" What's the matter, don't you trust me?" I nodded and walked closer to him grabbing his hand. I felt a shock go through my body as I grabbed his hand. I looked into his eyes.
" The last time I had danced was 4th year for the Yule ball." I was afraid that I was going to make a fool of myself.
" Just follow my lead." He squeezed my hand. Soon the orchestra started to play. I watched as Blaise tried to lead Ginny, but kept stepping on her toes.
" Relax, and watch me" Draco said to me as he noticed how nervous I was watching the two of them. Madame Jezebel had to pay them special attention. I nodded and looked at Draco in the eyes, and he was smiling at me. He placed one of his hands on the small of my back to guide me and held my other hand. We were actually moving to the beat of the music , and dare I say it … dancing. I let out a laugh as we continued to dance. It became quite fun.
" That was Humiliating!" Blaise said as we exited the dance studio. Ginny started to comfort her fiancé, and I just stared at Draco and started laughing. Who knew that we would work so well as dance partners. The next thing we had done together was sit and watch about a dozen wedding videos. They were supposed to inspire us and show us how a wedding is supposed to go. Draco had fallen asleep and Ginny sat there taking notes. This was going to be one interesting stay here.
We were now back at the cottage, and Ginny was making Dinner. She had come up to me and looked a little worried.
" What is it?" He put her hand on my shoulder.
" Hermione, I think I should tell you." I began to get worried as I watched her try to explain something to me. " My family is coming in tomorrow morning." I wasn't getting it, of course her family would be here eventually. " Ron…" Oh shit it finally hit me. " he is coming as well, and …" I took a deep breath. " He is bringing Lavender with him." I held that breath that I had just took. " Hermione they are pretty serious and I wanted to warn you so you weren't cut off guard." I just stood there. " I am so sorry. Breath out!" She laughed. I exhaled and grabbed my head this was way too much to intake. I knew I would have to deal with him eventually. Now to find out he is bringing her. I needed air. Draco walked into the room as I was running out of the door.
" Hey wait!" He yelled to me. He looked at Ginny's facial expression and it looked worried. So he was curious. He turned around and followed me out the door. I was running to the ledge over looking the sea. I just stopped and stood there. Draco came up behind me. I could feel his presence. I didn't turn around just continued to stare out into the night sky as the cool night breeze blew my hair.
" Granger?" He said calmly. I said nothing, I didn't think at the moment I had the ability to speak or move. " Is something… " He fought with himself to ask me. " I mean are you alright?" I sighed and faced the same direction.
" I don't know…" I said.
" Do you want to talk ?" He put his hands on my shoulders and turned me around to face him. I just stared at him un blinking or breathing. " Hermione?" I closed my eyes to try not to think about how it felt to b in Ron's arms, and tried desperately not to remember the nights I would spend alone with him, and how we would discuss our wedding, how he would tell me I was the only one for him. I couldn't handle this right now, so I shook my head and ran away from Draco ,and back into the cottage and locked my self in my room the rest of the night.
