Chapter Two
JK ROWLING OWNS THE LOT, I AM BARELY EVEN WORTHY OF SAYING HER NAME!
I'm using a little bit of Ootp but JK definitely owns it
"Fred - George - NO, JUST CARRY THEM!" Mrs Weasley shrieked.
Harry, Sirius and Mundungus looked round and, a split second later, they had dived away from the table. Fred and George had bewitched a large cauldron of stew, an iron flagon of Butterbeer and a heavy wooden breadboard, complete with knife, to hurtle through the air towards them. The stew skidded the length of the table and came to a halt just before the end, leaving a long black burn on the wooden surface; the flagon of Butterbeer fell with a crash, spilling its contents everywhere; the bread knife slipped off the board and landed, point down and quivering ominously, exactly where Sirius's right hand had been seconds before.
"FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!" screamed Mrs Weasley.
"THERE WAS NO NEED - I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS - JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE ALLOWED TO USE MAGIC NOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WHIP YOUR WANDS OUT FOR EVERY TINY LITTLE THI-" Mrs Weasley was cut off when a loud crash from another room upstairs.
"Did you hear that" Sirius asked the room,
"I can't hear anything, I swear I'm deaf now" Fred answered, rubbing his ears after his mums shouting.
"Moony, Arthur, follow me...'' Sirius, Lupin and Mr Weasley all walked carefully over to the kitchen door, slowly opened it and stepped lightly up the stairs, they stopped outside the sitting room, where they could hear voices.
"This isn't Grimmauld Place Lils, What did you do?''
"'I didn't do anything! This is so Grimmauld place! Look!''
"Ouch Al you're lying on my head''
"Yeah, well Hugo's on my Back!"
"Uh…Lily, you sort…sort of squashing important bits of my anatomy...''
"Teddy! Just because its dark doesn't mean we can't see you and Victoire doing that y'know!"
"Someone cast Lumos for Merlin's sake, I never lifted my wand!"
"Lumos"
Lily lifter her wand high and took in her surroundings. It was definitely Grimmauld Pace, but it was different. A thick layer of dust coated everything in sight and cobwebs draped from the chandelier to the corners of the room. The couch wasn't the modern leather one her dad had bought, but a horrible lumpy couch that was so dirty you could barely see that it was green underneath.
"Uh guys, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore..." Rose whispered, Hugo laughed, but the rest looked at her blankly, "Muggle story, mum told us it…'' She drifted off and ran her fingers across the top of the mantle-piece she had always known the wedding photos to sit upon. Now it was littered with ornaments, and jewellery.
Just as she reached for an old ring that was engraved with some sort of family crest the door of the room burst open,
"STUPEFY!"
Lily ducked to avoid the jet of red light but Hugo wasn't fast enough and crumpled to the ground.
"Wait, Moony look. They're just kids!" Sirius said.
"No they aren't that one looks at least twenty-five!"
"I'm twenty six actually…" Teddy muttered, staring openly at his dad, not daring to believe what he was seeing.
Everyone was now staring at the three men, Lily and Al stared at Sirius, who they had heard so much about. The Weasley's stared at their grandfather who looked younger than they had ever known and Daisy and Scorpius looked at each other, shrugging.
"You-You're Sirius! And Remus!" Al Stuttered.
The three men now stared back at Albus, not quite believing what they were seeing, he was Harry's double. At that moment Lupin noticed the Time turner still hanging loosely from Lily's fingers,
"What's that?" he asked, pointing at it with his wand.
"A…time turner! Of course! That's what's happened, we've gone back in time!''
"So in a few hours you'll be in this house?" Lupin questioned,
"Uh...not exactly.." Lily said, looking sideways at Teddy, who was still staring open mouthed at his dad, "What year is this?"
"1995" Piped up Sirius, "But Time turners only work over hours, so don't say you're from the future."
"We ARE from the future!" Victoire groaned, Sirius looked at her and them at the rest of the rooms occupants before his eyes fell upon Scorpius,
"You." He snared, "You expect us to believe you when you have a Malfoy with you? He's that kid from Slytherin that Harry hates'' He told Lupin.
"No! He's not Draco! And it's different in our time, more peaceful. The Malfoy's aren't really that bad..." Lily said, smiling at Scorpius.
"Prove it." Arthur suddenly said, "Prove you from the future. Who are you?"
"Uh…"
"Look at us." Hugo sat up groggily, rubbing the back of his head. "Who do we look like?"
"Ron..." Everyone looked towards the door where the rest of the group had gathered, Mrs Weasley stood at the front, with Ginny and Hermione at her side, Tonks hovered over by Lupin and drew her wand while the twins copied her actions. Harry and Ron stood, looking at the two boys who could easily have been their twins.
"What in the name of merlin's droopy…?" Ron was cut off with a sharp glare from his mother.
"They're telling the truth Arthur. Look at them, they're our grandchildren can't you see? That means we all get out of this alive." She smiled a huge grin and walked over to the twins, pushing their wands down. "So, who's are you?" she asked Lily, "You look like my Ginny."
"Oh Grandmam! Lily rushed over to Molly and hugged her tightly around the neck.
"We can't tell them anymore than they've guessed." Said Teddy seriously. Lily pulled away slightly from her gran and frowned at him,
"Teddy surely we can tell them who we are, we don't know how long we'll be stuck here, and it'll just make life easier on everyone if we do."
Teddy looked thoughtful for a moment then turned to his dad and said,
"Fine, but as soon as we have a way out of this I'm obliviating the lot of you."
"Don't be and idiot boy, Teddy was it? Only someone trained to do that would be powerful enough to cast a memory charm that deleted only that what he wanted deleted and replace the memories with fake ones" argued Tonks, "and I know people 3 times your age that can't achieve that sort of magic."
"Yeah...But you have Dumbledore. Surely he can do that?" Asked Lily
"But then he wouldn't have his memory altered and you can't risk anyone knowing the future!" Tonks said.
"I can do it." Teddy said so quietly that only Hugo and Victoire who were standing at either side of him heard so he repeated himself, "I learned it in seventh year for fun..."
Sirius snorted and everyone looked at him,
"What? It just reminded me of what Remus was like at school." He smiled fondly at his friend.
"I think we should call for Dumbledore" Said Hermione wisely, "Really, it is the best idea."
So with that Arthur pulled out his wands and muttered something and then there was a flash of silver and a weasel darted through the door and disappeared.
"So, you look really like Harry mate, weird that." Ron said to Al, "You his kid?"
Albus looked down at his 15 year old dad and then to Ron and said, "Sorry have to wait for Dumbledore"
The two Groups of people sat eyeing each other for 5 minutes, occasionally making remarks about similarities. When Dumbledore finally arrived, he took one sweeping look of the people in the room and simply said,
"Follow Me"
The large group of people trailed behind Albus Dumbledore into the kitchen and seated themselves at the long wooden table, Albus and Lily sat near their mother and father with Hugo who wanted to be near his parents, Victoire seated herself next to Bill and Fred, who, along with George looked very uncomfortable at the closeness. Teddy sat himself across from his parents, who were sitting with Sirius in between them and Daisy and Scorpius looked at the free seats, one next to Lily and one next to Ron and looked at each other briefly and diving for the seat next to Lily. Daisy being smaller managed to squeeze past everyone faster and drop down into the seat and stuck her tongue out at Scorpius as he shuffled over to sit next to Ron.
"So, you're from the future? When, may I ask?" Dumbledore asked, looking at Teddy who was clearly the oldest.
"Err, well 2024, but Christmas time and it's not Christmas here because Arthur-"
"Shut up Ted! You can't say anything!" Hugo hissed at him.
"No, it's quite alright, I think it's best to tell us everything." Smiled Dumbledore.
"Well, we're from the future and most of us are related to someone in this room, do you want us to tell you who we are?" Teddy asked,
"Yes, I'm sure you know who we all are?"
"Yeah Professor Dumbledore."
"Well go ahead"
The Next Generation looked at each other and nodded at Albus,
"You go first Al, you're obvious anyway."
Al stood up and looked the people at the table up and down then opened his mouth to speak...
Little preview of chapter 3:
"You…You get my BABY sister pregnant?" Growled Bill.
"You ruin my sisters QUIDDITCH carreer!" Yelled Ron.
"You're not asexual?" Chorused Fred and George.
"I MARRY HARRY POTTER!" Squealed Ginny
