Chapter 4
In a dream world:

"Wait! Teddy you didn't mention you!" Hermione said
"Oh! I Was in Gryffindor myself" He grinned.
"No I mean, who are you?"
"Uh, well..I'm.."
Teddy glanced around at Victoire then at his father and closed his eyes taking a deep breathe, then slowly he opened his eyes and felt Victoire's arm on his.
"I'm Teddy Remus Lupin"
To say everyone was shocked would be an understatement. Sirius had actually fallen of his chair and Remus was staring straight at Teddy without blinking.
"My-My son? How…?" Remus stuttered, still staring at Teddy.
"Well Moony, when mummy and a daddy wizard love each other very much, the dad inserts his wand into-"
"Sirius!" Mrs Weasley glared at him before turning back to Remus and smiling warmly.
"See moony, I told you you'd have a family one day!" Sirius said getting up to shake Teddy's hand, "Tell me I'm your godfather?" He asked him.
"Actually my godfather is Harry" Teddy told him
"But I'm fifteen!"
"Yeah, not when he's born idiot" Fred said.
"Isn't anyone going to ask who his mother is!" Scorpius asked impatiently, Daisy and Tonks nodding in agreement.
"Well Teddy, who is the lucky lady?" Sirius asked, winking at Remus who groaned and put his head in his arms.
"Oh My God!" Tonks suddenly screamed, jumping onto her feet and somehow managing to trip and fall into the corner of the table. She pushed herself upright again and stared at Teddy with her mouth wide open.
"What is it Tonks?" Sirius said, rolling his eyes.
"Teddy. Ted. Sirius don't you see?" She looked pleadingly at Sirius, wanting him to understand and make it seem truer than it did.
Sirius' eyes widened and he flipped his head back and forward between Remus and Tonks and then looked at Teddy,
"Your Nymphie's kid!"
Teddy smiled at his distant cousin and nodded, while his mother slapped Sirius across the back of the head and said, "Don't call me Nymphie you dolt".
"I'm a WEREWORF Dora, how could I do this to you!" Remus said suddenly as he got up and pushed his way out of the kitchen.
Everyone watched him leave and turned back to Teddy who was staring after his father with tears forming in his eyes.
"Hey there" Victoire murmured, moving over to stand behind him and wrapping her arms around his neck, "we've all heard the story of how he acted when he found out your mum was pregnant, but he warmed up eventually didn't he. It's just a shock sweetheart" She moved out of the way to let Lily in, who could usually always cheer Teddy up.
"Teddy! Stop being such a drama queen, stop crying and grow a pair-"
"Okaaaay Lily, let's just go stand over here and stand" Daisy said as she and Hugo pulled her over to the other side of the table.
"I was just going to tell him to go after his dad" Lily muttered
Everyone sat in awkward silence watching Tonks and Teddy until Sirius finally broke the tension,
"So uh…do you think Remus is an animal in the bedroom, I mean he is a wolf…" Sirius trailed of catching sight of the glares many of the women in the room were giving him.
"I think I should speak to him" Teddy said suddenly, getting up and walking toward the same door his dad had stormed through.
He found his dad easily, he had heard he was very like his father so he found himself walking toward the fairly large library he spent so many hours in while at Grimmauld place.
He knocked gently on the door and walked in without waiting for a reply,
"Da-I mean Remus…" He saw his dad sitting on a large armchair with stuffing falling from the right hand side, his eyes closed and his left hand massaging his right one, "What have you done, here let me see…"
Remus opened his eyes and stared into Teddy's bright green ones and Teddy took his wand out and muttered a few spells. Remus' hand suddenly felt a lot better and the blood it had been covered in was gone,
"Thanks" He said, both of them staring into each other's eyes, "I thought you were Harry's son you know, when you said you were twenty six I didn't even catch on, I mean, red hair like Ginny's and green eyes like Harry? You looked like you fit right in with the Weasley's, but it makes so much sense now, I take it you're a metamorphamagus like Dora?"
"Yeah, I got it from mum" He smiled at his dad, taking in everything that he didn't notice in photo's like the little scar at the side of his right eye that was barely visible, even from two feet away and the small laugh lines he had, "I'm not a werewolf" He said.
"You-You're not?" Remus asked, stunned, "I mean, my kind don't usually breed, I just assumed you would be"
"Nope, I mean, I get werewolf tendencies. My temper is terrible around a full moon and I like my meat rare, but so does Bill after-oh, wait, never mind. So you're not with mum yet huh?" Teddy quickly tried to change the subject.
"No, no, no…what were you saying about Bill?" Remus asked, narrowing his eyes, "does he become a werewolf?"
"No! He just…gets attacked by one" Teddy answered, "but not on a full moon!" He added, seeing Remus' horrified face, "it was the same one that bit you, he messed Bill face up pretty bad, but he still got married just a few months later"
"So, how about you come back down stairs, it's unfair you hogging me from mum" Teddy said, laughing.
Remus smiled and got up to follow his son downstairs, when they reached the kitchen door, Remus flexed his hand and said, "You fixed me up pretty good, are you a healer?"
"Nah, I'm an auror actually"
"Really! That's brilliant, you must be really smart" Remus said as they entered the kitchen to find everyone had split of into groups. Lily and Al were sitting with their parents, Sirius and Dumbledore, while Hugo sat with Ron, Hermione, Molly and Arthur, Victoire was with her dad telling him all about his other kids and Scorpius and Daisy were sitting with Tonks laughing at something she had just said.
"Really what?" Tonks said, looking up at them entering and grinning at the smiles on their faces.
"Teddy was just telling me he's an auror back in his time" Remus said proudly.
"Wow, just like me! Did you aspire to work with you old mum?" Tonks said jokingly
Teddy ignored his mum's question, not wanting to tell her she died and looked at Harry,
"Harry is the head of the Auror Department in my time so he helped me out and I passed everything" Teddy said.
"Wow, head! Wait, what happens to Scrimigeour?" Tonks asked suspiciously, "is he dead?"
"Uh…" Teddy glanced around at his cousins and continued, "Yeah, and after him Kingsley is made head but not for that long" He told them, "Because he becomes Minister For Magic!" He hastily added because of the scared faces in front of him.
"Wow, how the hell does that happen?" Bill asked, "They've been suspicious that he's on our side for weeks"
"Yeah and how come Harry gets Head of Office and not me!" Tonks asked huffily, "I've been there longer! Unless I died too…"
Teddy avoided his mother's eye but unfortunately caught his fathers who narrowed his eyes at the small tear dropping from Teddy's eye then his eyes widened,
"No…no, no, no, no!" He said, "H-h-how?" He asked, tears now forming in his own eyes. Everyone's faces slackened as comprehension dawned on them. Ginny openly howled, running over to Tonks and gripping her tightly, Hermione and Molly had large tear drops slipping silently down their faces, as did Harry and Sirius. Ron, Bill and Arthur all had the same shocked look on their face, while Dumbledore sat there as silent has he had been all night, sadness etched on his papery skin.
"I'm dead? When? How? Do I want to know?" Tonks asked, staring past Ginny's fiery head to Teddy.
"I don't know, do you?" his voice trembling.
"Ye-yes"
Victoire looked at Teddy and realised this was one for her,
"You die fighting at the battle of Hogwarts. I'm so sorry." She walked over to Teddy and hugged him around the neck, he wrapped his arms tightly around her and cried softly into her shoulder.
Everyone say shocked, tears rolling down their faces, the only noise being Ginny's loud sobbing and the occasional sniffle.
Teddy let go of Victoire and walked over to his mum,
"Mum, I never got to know you growing up but I felt like I did, everyone made sure I knew what you were like, and I was always listening to stories of you and looking at photographs. I know you died for the right reasons, so that I could grow up in a better world, and I could never be more grateful for having you as a mother." He squeezed his eyes shut and his hair changed to a soft sandy colour and he opened his eyes to show that they were dark and twinkling, exactly like Nymphadora's.
"This is what I really look like; I've never showed anyone except Victoire and Harry"
He looked exactly like his dad, but younger and healthier than Remus had ever looked and he had his mother's eyes. This was something he's always shared with Harry.
"Oh Teddy" Tonks let go of a still sobbing Ginny and jumped up to put her arms around Teddy's neck. Remus hesitated for a moment, but after a shove from Sirius, he walked over and joined into the cuddle.
Everyone started talking again to give the little family time but after a couple of minutes Dumbledore stood up and everyone's eyes were on him.
"I feel we've heard a lot about this battle of Hogwarts but not the whole story, so if you don't mind…" He motioned at Teddy to begin to speak but Teddy shook his head and said,
"If anyone knows this story best, it's Al and Lily, they wouldn't go to sleep when they were younger without hearing it from Harry"
Lily and Al looked at each other and Lily began to speak,
"Well, it really all started a couple of months ago for you guys. Voldemort returned and everyone knew it was going to end in a fight" A couple of people at the table winced at the name but Lily had been brought up by her father not to fear it, "and all this year, my dad's fifth year, he gets visions of a corridor which turns out to be the one you are guarding by the way" she told the order members.
"Guarding? Like what? A weapon?" Harry questioned, the arrival of his future family had interrupted him asking Sirius these things, "and what corridor exactly?"
"That is for the order to know and for you to forget about" Molly snapped at Harry.
"Yeah that lasts long…" muttered Al
"So anyway, just after his OWL's-"
Hermione groaned and asked, "Do we pass them?" looking pleadingly at Lily.
"Yeah, you do, so my dad has been having visions all year and Dumbledore realises he's seeing into Voldemort's head" Harry's eyes widened and he touched his scar, while Dumbledore just nodded gently.
"And at Christmas time, dad is woken up after a dream about Grandpa Weasley being attacked by Nagini, Voldemort's snake, in the corridor he's been dreaming about and clicks that it wasn't a dream but a vision so goes and tells Dumbledore who saves Grandpa's life."
"Oh, Harry, how many times will you need to save someone in our family" Molly scowled, "We really would be in a pickle without you, wouldn't we?"
"So he asks Professor Snape to teach Harry Occlumency which doesn't exactly go too well…and my dad ends up being told by Snape not to bother coming back, although not as nicely as that you always said. Because of this Harry continues to dream of the corridor and during his, oh what exam was it? Lily asked Al.
"History of Magic" He answered
"Yeah, during that exam he faints and has a vision of Voldemort torturing someone to try and get something for him-"
"Who? Who was he torturing?" Molly asked, looking pale.
"Oh, right, it was Sirius-"
"ME! How does he get me, I'd be locked up in this damn place!" Sirius asked wide eyed.
"No…he hasn't really got you, he realised that Harry could see into his head after my dad saw Nagini attack Grandpa and placed a fake scene in his head to lure him to the ministry-"
"Oh, god" Ron groaned
"Yup, Harry and his hero complex" Hermione said
"Of course he's going to try and save Sirius, it's what he does" Ron said.
"Hey, I don't have a hero complex!" Harry said indignantly
Everyone at the table snorted, even Dumbledore who was watching the trio's banter with great amusement.
"Yeah, okay, of course you don't Harry. Just keep telling yourself that as you listen to the story." Teddy said, one of his eyebrows raised.
"So anyway, Hermione convinced Harry that it might be a trick so they floo'd Grimmauld Place and Kreacher told them Sirius was away, but uh, it turned out that Kreacher had been telling Bellatrix Lestrange inside information and was lying to them-"
"Bellatrix? She's in Azkaban! I know elf magic is extraordinary, but even an elf would have no hope of getting into there" Sirius exclaimed.
"Ah, if I'm not mistaken, the dementors, as we assumed have changed side and there will be a mass breakout in the future?" Dumbledore asked.
"He is as smart as dad said" Lily whispered to Al.
"Thank you dear" Dumbledore said to Lily kindly, hearing her, "Carry on".
"Well, Harry tried to let someone from the order know, but couldn't so he told Snape in front of Professor Umbridge-"
"Alas, I do not find someone in time then" Dumbledore said to himself as Ron asked who that was.
"She's this foul woman who is so narrow minded and practically lives in the ministers butt- I mean she's a suck up" Lily quickly said, "and she finds you trying to contact Sirius and threatens you with the Cruciatus curse and along with Hermione she takes you into the forest where Hermione told her there was a weapon to keep her at bay for a while longer, but she is attacked by centaurs and you both escape" she told Harry, "then you meet Ron, Neville, Luna and Ginny who had been helping you contact Sirius and go to the ministry on threstrals-"
Hermione took a sharp intake of breathe and her eyes widened,
"Why can we see them?" she squeaked as most of them sat looking confused.
"You can't" Lily smirked, "Well, Neville, Luna and Harry can"
Hermione quickly explained the thestral to everyone so Lily could continue.
"So, when you got the ministry you made your way to the department of mysteries where you found prophecy with Harry's name on it but when you took it off the shelf death eater appeared and demanded you give them it but obviously you didn't and the six of you fought with them until the order arrived and they joined in with the fight…" Lily had reached the part she was dreading and looked to Al, silently asking him to continue.
"Well, during the fight the Bellatrix was fighting Tonks, but stunned her and moved onto Sirius who she also hit him with something and he fell back, but he happened to be fighting in front of the Veil in the Death Chamber at the-"
"No!" Tonks yelled, "You are LYING!" The Veil is a myth, it does not exist!"
"I'm so sorry mum…" Teddy said softly, tears in his eyes, "I never met Sirius, he was dead before I was thought of, it's true…"
Sirius sat there, staring at Harry while Harry stared back, tears gliding down his cheeks and falling wet and heavy onto the table top.
"Don't be sad Harry, I'll finally be happy and free, with James and Lily, I won't need to hide out in this dank house filled with horrible memories" He smiled at Harry, "And hey! You've still got Moony to teach how to be a true marauder" He laughed.
Every looked at Al, tears dropping fast down faces, pleading for him to continue.
"After that my dad chased Bellatrix thought the ministry but Voldemort was there and he possessed my dad, but not for long because he couldn't bear it and Dumbledore arrived. The usual happened and my dad got away and Voldemort escaped but the Minister saw him and finally believed he was back"
"Thank goodness that silly man came to his senses" Molly said.
"So everyone believed Voldemort was back finally and the school year finished and nothing really exciting happened until Dad was at the Burrow and-"
"Wait! You forgot the Dumbledore bit Al!" Lily reminded him.
"Oh yeah, Professor Dumbledore picked Harry up personally from his aunts to convince Professor Slughorn to return as potions master-"
"Potions? What about Snape?" Hermione asked, looking puzzled.
"I believe now is the moment Severus gets his post as Defence teacher, am I right?" Dumbledore asked Al.
"Yeah, so-"
"Yes! That means he'll be gone at the end of that year!" Ron exclaimed, grinning at Harry.
"-they convince him and dad arrives at the Burrow and meet Fleur who is staying there with Bill to meet the family and dad, Ron and Hermione receive their OWL results-"
"Eeek!" Hermione said, "Tell us, please!"
"Um, I dunno what you got. Hugo?" Al asked looking around at his younger cousin.
"All Outstanding's and an E in Defence mum, well done" He told her, rolling his eyes, "Did you really expect anything less?" He asked her.
"Humph!" she said, "what about Harry and Ron?"
"Dad got um, E's in Charms, Transfiguration and Potions-" Al said.
"What! Really? An E? In potions?" Harry looked completely dumbfounded by this.
"And an O in defence, I honestly can't remember the rest, sorry."
Harry shrugged,
"I'll find out in a year anyway"
"What about me!" Ron asked.
"Oh, same as Harry I think, but an E in defence" Hugo told him.
"Oh, and you all go to Fred and Georges new shop which is bloody brilliant by the way" Al added, "And my dad, searching for trouble as usual, spots Draco Malfoy heading to Knockturn Alley and he, Ron and Hermione follow him and find him at Borgin and Burkes asking him to keep something for him and threatening him"
Scorpius groaned,
"This is why I never hear stories of my dad's childhood…"
"And Harry gets it into his head that Draco is now a Death Eater in his father's place after he got carted off to Azkaban. Hermione doesn't believe him and Ron just goes along with Hermione because he loooooves her-"
"Hey, I do not..." Ron mumbled, blushing and everyone giggled.
"-throughout the year Dumbledore gives Harry lessons about Voldemort, telling him about Voldemort's life as a child, his family before he was born and tells him about horcruxes-"
"Oh my lord, why!" Sirius exclaimed. Everyone except the next generation and Dumbledore looked at Sirius, surprised at this outburst.
"How do you know about them Sirius" Al asked suspiciously.
"Have you seen the house that I grew up in? There are books about them in my library" Sirius answered, frowning.
"Sorry, but what exactly is a horcrux?" asked Hermione politely.
Dumbledore sighed and explained exactly what a horcrux was to the group's horrified faces.
"So Voldemort has a horcrux? That's why he didn't die when Harry was a baby?" Remus asked when Dumbledore was finished.
"Actually he had six" Teddy answered his dad.
"SIX! That's disgusting!" Molly shouted.
"So Dumbledore told my dad about the six horcruxes and explained that the diary from his second year was one-"
"Tom's diary…?" Ginny mumbled, looking shocked and shaken.
"Yeah mum, but you weren't to know" Al said, smiling at her.
"A ring that one belonged to Voldemort's wizard family was also one, but Dumbledore had destroyed this, but it had a curse on it that Snape managed to contain in Dumbledore's hand so it didn't kill him instantly. Dumbledore believed the other four were also important things such as the Hogwarts founder's possessions, including a locket that had once belonged to Salazar Slytherin that Voldemort had shown a great interest in and a cup that had once belonged to Helga Hufflepuff."
"Why use such important artefacts that everyone searches for?" Fred asked.
"Well, would you place a part of your soul in something that wasn't worth a lot?" Bill answered.
"Anyway, meanwhile my dad was still suspicious of Malfoy, and kept watch on him using the marauders map but sometimes he would disappear completely as if he was leaving Hogwarts and still tried to convince Hermione of his theory-"
"Well, you can understand where I was coming from, a sixteen year old death eater? That's absurd" Hermione said.
"-anyway, theres some good stuff that happened in your sixth year. Harry had been given detention for the rest of the year every Saturday for attacking Malfoy and so couldn't play in the Quidditch final-"
"Again" Harry groaned.
"-so Ginny took his place as seeker, being the second best at it and when Harry got back to the common room that night after his detention, he found everyone celebrating a Gryffindor and in the spur of the moment shared his first kiss with my mum"
Harry and Ginny blushed and stared pointedly at the table.
"They started going out but one night, Dumbledore requested Harry come to his office and he told him to grab his invisibility cloak and come with him as he had found another of Voldemort's horcruxes, so Harry ran back to the tower and found Hermione, Ron and Ginny and told them that as Dumbledore was leaving the castle he had a feeling that something was going to happen and left them to round up people and be prepared. So uh, my dad never told us what happened when he was with Dumbledore that night, only that there was a potion that had to be drunk to get to the Locket and Dumbledore drank it and it weakened him horribly and then they went back to Hogwarts to find that the dark mark was above the castle-"
"Oh no..." Molly groaned.
"They flew in on brooms to the astronomy tower where the dark mark was and when they landed, Draco Malfoy came through the door and disarmed Dumbledore just after Harry had put the cloak on and been immobilised by Dumbledore. He explained that he had been asked by Voldemort to kill Dumbledore and get death eaters into Hogwarts, so he fixed a vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement-"
"The what?" Most of the room asked.
"Oh, you find it later this year, I forgot you didn't know…it's a room in Hogwarts that is uplottable and if you walk past the blank wall where its door should be three times thinking hard what about what you need, it presents itself as it. Like if you needed a bathroom it becomes one, or if you need a place to practise Defence Against the Dark Arts in secret, it becomes that…" Al said.
"It' a great place from hiding from prefects!" Sirius, Fred and George all shouted at the same time, while Molly, Remus and Hermione frowned at them.
"-and anyway, Dumbledore talked Draco round, and my dad said he seriously thought Draco was going to switch sides, but downstairs the death eaters and the order had been fighting and the death eaters had ran to the astronomy tower and started goading Draco and then Snape burst in and took one look at what was happening and killed-"
"He killed a boy! That is taking it too far!" Sirius Yelled, "even if he was a Malfoy…" He added.
"-Dumbledore" Al finished.
"Yes?" Dumbledore asked.
"No, he means he killed Dumbledore" Teddy said. Everyone sat in silence for a few seconds then there was outbursts from almost everyone at the table, Remus, Sirius and Bill had actually stood up and started towards the door.
"Where are you three going?" Mrs Weasley shouted over the noise, "You're not going to find Severus. Sit." The three men looked at her and seen the fire in her eyes and walked back to their seats not daring to cross her.
"Explain" was all Dumbledore said when people had calmed down.
"Well, I will, soon..." Al told him, "After that all hell broke loose and the death eaters fought the order and some students throughout the castle, no one was killed from our side, a death eater was though I think. Although, Bill was attacked by Fenir Greyback-"
Mrs Weasley interrupted Albus with a shriek then burst into a fit of tears.
"Don't worry Grandma! It wasn't a full moon…" Lily soothed, "Although, in my time Uncle Bill is pretty scarred up, anyway, it just helped you accept Aunt Fleur when you realised she loved Uncle Bill no matter what, you even said you would get her Great Great Aunt Muriel's tiara for their wedding."
"Wow that is a big deal..." Fred said as George made a low whistle.
"Still…my own child being hurt so bad…I knew we wouldn't come out of this war unscathed…"
Ginny got up from her seat and perched on her mother's knee, feeling quite childish as she thought of her own children standing in the same room and hugged her tightly as Albus continued the story.
"So a battle broke out and Dad chased Snape and Malfoy from the castle but they escaped and Dad found Dumbledore's body at the bottom of the astronomy tower and Mum and Hagrid took him up to the hospital wing as he was a bit of a mess..''
"When he got there he realised no one knew about Dumbledore yet and he told them, It was a bit of a shock to hear that a colleague and teacher killed him…" Lily said as everyone nodded in shock.
"Anyway, miraculously the only fatality except Professor Dumbledore was a death eater who had been accidentally killed by one of his own" continued Al.
"Well that's a relief, wait…that can't be the battle you were talking about then!" Tonks frowned, "because I…pass in the battle."
"You're right, after this fight everyone attends the funeral in the Hogwarts grounds and well...Dad sort of breaks it off with mum-"
"What!"
"I'm going to kill you!"
"I trust you with my sister and this is how you-"
"ENOUGH!"
Ginny's roar caught everyone by surprise and they all turned to stare at her,
"Don't you see you idiots? He broke up with me so Voldemort couldn't use me against him. He was PROTECTING me. And obviously we don't break up for long because we get married and have kids. Honestly, you would think that after the amount of thing's that Harry has done for us you'd be able to see that nothing he does is to hurt someone, more like save them."
Silence filled the dank room for about a minute after Ginny's surprise outburst until Tonks began clapping and the rest of the room (except Harry, who was sitting as red as a tomato) joined in.
"Well said Ginny!" Dumbledore smiled as Ginny joined Harry in his red-faced state.
"That's just a taster for the future by the way..." Teddy warned, "Aunt Ginny is um…feisty…"
"Well. I was about to tell everyone that it was to save mum but I guess I don't have to" Al said, "after the funeral the Hogwarts Express took everyone home and Harry went back to the Dursley's again and awaited his seventeenth birthday."
"Speaking of birthdays, how old are you lot?" Sirius asked.
"I'm sixteen; my birthday is in February so I'm nearly seventeen! I can't wait!" Lily squealed.
"Same here!" Daisy joined in with the squealing.
"I just turned seventeen few weeks ago" Hugo said.
"We're both 18" Scorpius said, motioning at himself and Albus.
"I'm twenty six" Smiled Teddy, "and Vicky is 24"
"Hey! Don't call me that. I hate it!" Victoire moaned.
"Sorry" Teddy laughed.
"So leading up to Harry's birthday, the order tried to come up with a way of getting him out of the Dursley's before his seventeenth when Voldemort could get him. So they made plans for the Dursley's and Harry to leave the house at Privet Drive at the same time and the protections over the place would stop."
"So Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Fleur, Mundungus, Mad Eye, Mum, Dad, Hagrid, Arthur and Kingsley all came after some other members of the order took away the Dursley's and Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Fleur and Mundungus took polyjuice potion and turned into Harry while the other seven all paired up with one of the Harry's, Hagrid with the real one and they all left on broomsticks, threstrals and Sirius' old motorbike to various safe houses." Teddy said
"Whoa…this is coming up for Harry's seventeenth and my bike is still alive?" Sirius asked a dumbfounded expression on his face, "Hagrid must have taken amazing care of it…"
"He did and Arthur done a bit of tinkering with it to make it better, but even still, as soon as they were outside the house's protection death eaters attacked from all sides-"
"Hold on, why did we move him out in the open like that anyway? That seems strange." Lupin asked.
"Well, the ministry were corrupted and made it illegal to travel from that house by any means really" Teddy answered and let Al go on,
"So everyone split up and fought but Dad gave himself away by refusing to kill someone he knew who was imperused. So Voldemort turned up and came after Dad and Hagrid but luckily Dads wand worked of its own accord and saved them before they entered the protections of the safe house they were heading for, which was you're parents' house Tonks so your dad fixed them up and sent them on their way to the Burrow by portkey, when they got there they were the first ones back because the death eaters had caused some of the other pairs to miss their portkey when they were supposed to be before them but slowly everyone began to return, but when George turned up with Remus, he had an ear missing-" Al put his hand up to his Gran and continued speedily, "and he got cleaned up and was absolutely fine…except from the whole one less ear thing…anyway everyone else got back with any major injuries but when Bill and Fleur got back to the burrow-"
"Me again?" Bill groaned
"No, you were just the bearer of bad news this time, you had seen Mad-eye killed." Al stopped to let the shock sink in.
"Alas it is a shame to lose such a brave man but we must continue our tale as time ticks on" Dumbledore interrupted the silence.
"Yeah...anyway over the next few days everyone had to help prepare for Bill and Fleur's wedding which was taking place at the burrow the day after Dad's birthday, but on dads birthday the minister turned up with the contents of Dumbledore's will, wishing to talk to Dad, Ron and Hermione. He had left Aunt Hermione 'The Tales of Beadle the Bard' in ancient runes, Uncle Ron got his deluminator and Dad got the snitch he caught in his first Quidditch match and also the Sword of Gryffindor but they weren't going to give Dad it because it belonged not to Dumbledore but the school."
Everyone turned to stare at Dumbledore and Sirius spoke first,
"Seriously? Those are the most random things to leave someone ever."
"I must have had my reasons and I can guess what they are" Dumbledore said.
"So the wedding went fine and at the party afterwards everyone was dancing and having fun, Ron had even got Hermione up for a dance apparently but it wasn't to last, a patronus from Kingsley arrived in the middle of the wedding stating that the ministry had fallen and everyone was to run."
"Oh my…" Mrs Weasley groaned along with Hermione and Tonks.
"Death Eaters arrived at the wedding and Hermione tracked down Ron and Harry and they disapparated to a café where they got tracked by death eaters and had to escape again, coming here to Grimmauld Place." Al finished and looked around at his family needing help.
"We don't know into great detail what happened after that, just the general idea, it hurt my dad to talk about those months of running and hiding…"
"Months…" Molly whispered, "So long on their own…"
Tell us the parts you know of the story then" Lupin said kindly, not wanting to rush them.
"Well, they knew they were hunting for horcruxes and one night harry remembered that he had seen a locket this summer you guys just had with a snake 'S' on it but they had thrown it away but Kreacher had been stealing things back and Harry had inherited Kreacher and the house when Sirius had died so he called him to ask and they found out the Mundungus had stolen it from Kreacher but that the reason it had been in that house in the first place was that Regulus, Sirius' Brother was with Voldemort for a while and Voldemort requested and elf to test the defence around the locket in the cave, so Kreacher went but he managed to escape because of his elf magic and told Regulus about it and Regulus told him to take him there and took the real locket and replaced it with a fake intending to destroy it as he didn't want to be involved with the death eaters anymore."
"So…he wanted to be good..." Sirius said quietly to no one in particular, "well he should have thought about that before he joined up!" he said, all of a sudden angry.
"So they gave Kreacher the fake that Dad still had and gained his loyalty and trust so that he would go to Mundungus and get it back, but Mundungus had sold it t none other than Dolores Umbridge, so they began planning to break into the ministry."
"Al, you forgot about Remus…"
Remus looked at Lily in shock, "me? What about me?"
Al continued, "You turned up at Grimmauld place to tell them that everyone was fine but being watched and that you were going to be a dad-"
"Enter Teddy" Daisy muttered.
"But you were scared of what you had done to Tonks, thinking that Teddy here would be a werewolf like you but we know now he isn't. And Harry got mad, because in his eyes you were abandoning your son and he didn't have a dad growing up either."
"Harry…I am so sorry…" Remus got up and knelt down next to harry, "Future me is a horrible person but so is past me…I could have easily made contact with you in your youth had I known what kind of life you were living with those people and been a father figure but I couldn't. I was selfish."
"Shut up Moony…you're here now and that's all that matters" said Sirius for Harry's sake.
"You left and went back to Tonks anyway and this is where the story gets a bit blurred. We know that Dad, Ron and Hermione went to the ministry in disguises and managed to steal back the locket but revealed themselves and got so nearly caught so couldn't go back to Grimmauld place and had to camp in the country side, taking turns to look after the locket because it messed with your head if you had it too long."
"It affected Ron really badly and he began getting seriously annoyed that they weren't making much progress and that the best food they could get were things Hermione cooked with magic like fish or mushrooms and we all know what Uncle Ron's appetite is like." Even Scorpius and Daisy nodded in agreement at this while Ron's ears turned bright red.
"I'm a git" Ron muttered.
"No you're not...well here you are but not usually" Teddy told him.
"so after Dad and Hermione have a breakthrough and realise that the reason Dumbledore tried to leave Dad the sword was that it was impregnated with Basilisk venom which could destroy horcruxes but they had just found out that Ginny was being punished for trying to steal it from Snapes office-"
"Snape? How is he still a teacher?" Molly asked, shocked.
"Oh I forgot, he's actually head teacher, Voldemort's in total control." Teddy said.
"-So Ron got angry and accused Dad of leading them nowhere and not caring about his family and they had a fight, and Ron left. So Hermione and Harry were left on their own and still tried to continue hunting for horcruxes and they went to Godric's Hollow but got tricked by Nagini, Voldemort's snake hiding in the corpse of Bathilda Bagshot into a trap which they almost didn't escape from but did due to Hermione's quick thinking, but at the expense of Dad's wand which got snapped in two."
"So Dad and Hermione went a while without Ron but one night when Dad was keeping watch he saw a patronus in the distance and followed it until he got to a pool where the sword of Gryffindor lay at the bottom, he dived in and grabbed it but the locket tried to drown him."
"It's like the diary, it has a mind of its own!" Ginny gasped.
"Yeah, it is, but someone pulled him out and it was Ron, they used the sword to destroy the locket and then went back to the tent where Hermione completely lost it at Ron and attacked him for leaving, but Ron had found out some stuff while he was away like the use of Voldemort's name was taboo, the death eaters found you as soon as you said it and that there was a radio station which told the truth about everything run by Lee Jordan. After a while dad realised that Voldemort was after the Deathly hallows, or at least the wand-"
"Sorry, the what?" Hermione asked while half the table looked confused too.
Lily quickly explained what they were and motioned at Al to go on.
"So they decided to visit Luna Lovegood's dad, who had mentioned recognising the symbol when he met Dad at the wedding. But Luna had been kidnapped because Xenophilius was a supporter of Harry and Xeno tricked the trio to stay under the pretence Luna was there but he was really going to sell them out to get Luna back but once again they escaped but when they got back to the tent Ron put on the radio and it told them about deaths, including Teddy's Grandpa Ted-"
"No. No." Tonks said, defiance in her eyes. "My dad can't be dead because I'm going to die and my mum can't be alone okay?"
Everyone looked at Tonks, not knowing what to say until she suddenly burst out crying.
Daisy, who was closest reached around and hugged her while the story was continued
"and them my Dad accidently said Voldemort's name so a gang of death eaters including Greyback turned up and took them to Malfoy manor where Bellatrix was also residing. She saw them with the sword and accused them of stealing from her vault at Gringotts and got scared at the thought of them being in her vault, so when they denied it, she threw Ron and Harry to the cellar where the met Luna and Ollivander and also Dean and Griphook the goblin who had both been caught with them while Bellatrix tortured Hermione. Then the goblin was called to tell if it was a fake and Dad begged him to lie and he did but Dobby the house elf turned up and helped everyone escape and they all went to Shell Cottage which is Bill and Fleur's house by the way. And I don't really know what happened, usually at this part of the story, we'd be rushing Dad to hurry up and get to the battle which seems a bit silly now, but we never knew we'd be telling it to our family from the past. All I know is Dobby died and my dad, Ron and Hermione realised that if Bellatrix was so worked up about her vault there must be something in it so they got Griphook to help them plan a break in to Gringotts-"
"Oh for goodness sake! Did I raise you to be a fool Ronald Weasley. Breaking into Gringotts, I ask you…"
"Relax mum, I end up with two kids and a wife…I'm sure I survive."
Molly scowled at him and looked away.
"So they did break in and get hufflepuffs cup but lost the sword to the Goblin and escaped on the dragon guarding the vault."
"Then dad got a vision that the last horcrux was at Hogwarts and they apparated to Hogsmeade where they nearly got caught but Aberforth Dumbledore saved them and showed them a secret passage to Hogwarts that had appeared in his house where Neville Longbottom came from and took them back to Hogwarts into the room of requirement where loads of people had been hiding. They told the massive group of people that they were looking for a special thing to do with the founders and Luna who had just arrived with dean told them about the lost diadem of Ravenclaw, so Luna and Dad went to find it and the met one of the death eater teachers but stunned them and McGonagall found them and was shocked to see dad but listened to him and agreed to help, but they met Snape and he demanded to know where harry was so fought with McGonagall and then ran for it. Harry went back to the Room of requirement where more people had arrived including most of the order and the Weasley's including Percy who apologised to his family but everyone had cleared the room away to help barricade or get ready to fight and harry cleared the rest out of the place including Ginny who wasn't supposed to fight because she was underage because he realised the diadem was in the room of requirement."
Albus explained about the grey lady being Helena Ravenclaw and how she had told Tom Riddle of the diadem too.
"Ron and Hermione had also turned up after a trip to the chamber of secrets when they realised they had a whole mouth full of basilisk fangs down there to destroy the horcruxes, also, I think you'll like this bit…"
"Oh, can I tell it!" Lily squealed and Al nodded.
"Well, the three of them were standing in the room of requirement and Ron suddenly says 'what about the house elves?' and Hermione is like 'why, should they fight too' and Ron says 'no but shouldn't we get them out of here aswell' or something and Hermione just lunges at him and practically eats his face until my dad reminds them that there's a war going on."
Both Ron and Hermione were bright red and everyone else was laughing,
"Ron finally accepts SPEW." Fred said
"And Hermione makes it worth his while" George continued, making everyone laugh harder.
"Anyway they go out and then go back in when the room becomes the room of hidden things but Malfoy-"
"Why is my dad such a dick?" Scopius groaned but shut up after a killer look from Mrs Weasley.
"-and Goyle and Crabbe follow them in and they find the diadem but they three start fighting with them and one of the two apes starts a fiendfyre and they escape just in time, my dad and Ron saving Draco and Goyle but Crabbe dies."
"We saved them?" Harry asked, "Why?"
"Because you're not evil even you couldn't leave them to die" Sirius said.
"When you come out the fight at Hogwarts has begun and you find Percy and Fred fighting some death eaters on the seventh floor and join in but a curse gets set off and it hits Fred ad when the dust settles you realise Fred…didn't make it…"
There was an icy feeling in the room, the twins just sat and stared at each other tears rolling down their faces while Molly cried hysterically into Arthurs chest while he also cried and rocked her, Ron was engulfed by Hermione while both of them cried loudly and Harry had gotten up to sit with Ginny who was being hugged by Tonks and Sirius. Lupin just sat and stared at nothing, the thought of another death sinking into his head. Dumbledore let everyone have about half an hour to grieve and cry but then asked for Albus to continue.
Molly sat with Fred in her arms as she listened, praying that one child was all she lost.
"Dad had another vision of Voldemort sitting in the Shrieking shack asking to see Snape, so the three of them went to the shack and found him talking to Snape and telling him that as he killed Dumbledore, the last master of the Elder Wand the only way Voldemort would have control of it was if he killed Snape, so he set Nagini of him and left, Harry went I to see Snape and with his last breathe he told Harry to take his memories and look into his eyes…"
Albus told everyone about the different memories Harry had seen.
"Snape loved…my mum" Harry said slowly, "so he hates me because I'm like my dad who he hated…that's unfair!"
"Continue please." Dumbledore said.
"Before my dad seen the memories though…he had gone to the great hall where the dead were being kept-"
"Oh no, please just tell us who else has died…" Molly whispered.
"The Weasley's were all there, gathered around Fred's body but lying next to him was Tonks-"
"So that's me dead then? Wait, when did I have my baby!"
"Oh Merlin, sorry, I was born after they escaped Malfoy Manor" Teddy smiled, "fourth of April, nineteen-ninety-eight."
"Wow…that's soon…" Tonks said, glancing at her belly and then at Remus.
"Can I go on? So…Tonks was lying peacefully but next to her was also her husband, Remus-"
"My baby doesn't have a family?" Tonks said getting upset again.
"Don't worry; I have Gran and the entire Weasley family as well as Harry!" Teddy soothed her.
"After seeing the memories and the bodies, Dad realises that he has to end it. He never told us what happened when he went into the forest to find Voldemort, but Voldemort thought dad was dead and brought him out to show everyone but my dad escapes under his cloak and Neville chops of Nagini, the last horcruxes, head and a fight breaks out in which Gran kills Bellatrix Lestrange for nearly killing Mum."
"Well, you don't threaten my children." Molly said simply to everyone's shocked faces.
"Then Dad and Voldy have a face off and my dad tells him that Snape was never on his side and that the reason the wand never killed him was because before Snape killed Dumbledore, Malfoy disarmed him, making him the true master, but then at the manor, Dad disarmed Draco making him the master and it would never kill its master, then at the same time, Voldemort cast a killing spell and Dad cast a disarming spell and the collided but it went back on Voldemort and he died."
Everyone sat in shock at the abrupt ending.
"So…Voldemort is gone…forever?" Ron asked.
"Yup" Daisy and Lily said at the same time.
Everyone broke off into little groups to discuss the story and cry of losses. Until Molly stood up and announced it was time for bed.
"Okay, for now can Teddy share with the Twins and can Albus, Hugo and Scorpius squeeze in with Harry and Ron and Lily and Daisy can share with Hermione and Ginny and Victoire you can sleep in the room Tonks usually uses as she isn't staying tonight." Everyone slowly headed for their separate bedrooms, yawing.
In the girl's bedroom, Daisy, Lily, Hermione and Ginny quickly changed into pyjamas that Molly had laid out and climbed into bed (Daisy and Lily sleeping and piles of blanket made up on the floor between Hermione's and Ginny's beds),
"It's so weird, it's like having a sleepover with my mum" Lily laughed and Ginny frowned.
"I hate that, I'm your mum and you're older than me. Everyone's always older than me! No wonder Harry doesn't notice me until next year. I bet I get boobs soon and that's what starts it. Boys are so annoying!" Ginny moaned and Hermione nodded.
"Well, at least you both know you get to marry the guy you fancy!" Daisy said,
"Yeah, what about me and Daisy? We don't know if the boys we like will ever like us back" Lily agreed.
"Wait…you like people? Oooooh! Who?" Ginny smiled mischievously
"Um…well Daisy totally fancies Hugo!" Lily said, trying to avoid herself being the subject of attention.
"What! Do not!" The other three girls just stared at her and she sighed, "Fine, I dream about what our babies would look like…"
"Ewwww! That's my son, who by the way will never have sex till he's 30 so don't get too attached" Hermione joked, "What about you Lily? Who's the lucky guy that's captured the attention of my beautiful niece?" Hermione said, winking.
"Well…it's sort…he's…Well it's-"
"Oh Merlin's Pants! It's Scorpius. God Lily, we'd have been here all night if I'd let you finish!" Daisy frowned.
Hermione and Ginny stared at Lily in shock.
"Scorpius? A Malfoy? Harry would die if he knew his daughter liked a Malfoy!" Ginny said and Hermione nodded,
"Harry will freaaaaaaak if he finds out" Hermione added.
"Gee thanks guys, I would never have guessed, It's not like he brought me up or anything" Lily said sarcastically.
"Oh that's weird, thinking that he brought you up…with me…in a house…that we owned…together…"
"Okay we get it, you marry Harry Potter. Shh" Lily scowled; her mum was completely different as a teenager than as an adult.
Meanwhile, in the boys room Albus, Ron, Hugo, Harry and Scorpius were discussing a pretty similar thing to the girls…
"So I'm definitely a cool dad?" Ron asked Hugo for the fourth time.
"Yes! You run a joke shop, how much cooler does it get?"
"And I'm definitely a good dad? I don't lock anyone in cupboards or anything?" Harry asked Albus who just rolled his eyes at him.
"So what sort of childhood did you have? We're me and Ron strict dads?" Harry asked.
"Nah, we got away with quite a lot to be honest, we had rules but they were usually things like 'If the thought of a spell makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it' "
The five boys burst out laughing and Harry choked out, "if that's the kind of rules I had I dread to think what kind of children you three were!"
"So, I saw you eyeing up Daisy? Do I sense that me and Neville might end up family in the future?" Ron asked Hugo wiggling his eyebrows as Hugo's ears turned bright red like Ron's would have.
"Well, actually I think Harry might be closer to it seeing as Albus can't stop eating Daisy's big sister Ivy's face." It was Albus' turn to go bright red, "And also, James has it bad for their other sister Belle"
"My grandchildren will all be mini Neville's!" Harry said in mock horror as the rest of them laughed.
"The twins must be having fun with Teddy because they'd usually have come down to my room by now" Ron said.
The twins weren't having any fun with Teddy because Teddy had waited till they fell asleep before sneaking out and searching for Victoire.
"Victoire!" He whispered urgently outside a room that had her beautiful scent wafting from it (his sense of smell was amazing after all, his dad was a werewolf).
The door slowly opened and Victoire stood in a nightie that was far too short and looked like it belonged to someone much smaller than her tall leggy height of 5'8. Teddy was lost for words as she pulled him inside and slowly shut the door before turning around to face him.
"What? Do I have something on me?" She asked, walking over to a small mirror on the wall and looking at her reflection, "Ted!" she said, turning back around.
"You look…amazing" Teddy barely managed to get out before he strode across the room and caught her behind the neck and knees and lifted her over to the large bed, kissing her passionately…
The next morning, Victoire woke up early not used to the bright summer light that was streaming in through the open curtains.
"Teeeeeeddy, wake up!" she sang kissing his neck.
Teddy stirred and turned around to return the kiss which ended up leading to more.
In the other bedrooms the rest of the Weasley's and so on were starting to wake up and head down to breakfast, when the twins walked into the kitchen, everyone was already down apart from the girls and Teddy, Sirius and Lupin.
"Where's Teddy? He wasn't in bed, we thought he's already came down." Fred asked Harry.
"Dunno, we were first down and he hasn't come in" He answered.
"Wanna go look for him?" George asked Fred,
"Yeah, why not"
They both headed back out of the kitchen and Hugo followed.
"So, you guys are the brains behind the joke shop. I love that place, I work in it during the summer with my dad" Hugo told the twins.
"Yep, do we have a shop in Diagon alley then?" George asked.
"Yeah, amongst other places!"
"Hey guys, where you heading?" the four girls had just walked out of their bedroom and bumped into the guys,
"We're away to find Teddy, he hasn't come down yet and he wasn't in bed. You know what this house is like, anything could have happened to him"
Suddenly from upstairs there was a series of banging noises and a scream. The seven of them ran upstairs and met Sirius and Lupin running in the other direction,
"What was that!" Sirius asked the group,
"We don't know we heard it coming from upstairs" Ginny answered.
The nine of them slowly walked up the stairs and stopped outside Victoires room,
"Listen, some thing's wrong…" Fred whispered as a loud thumping noise came from the bedroom.
Lupin pushed open the door…
"OH DEAR MERLIN! MY EYES!" Hugo yelled covering his eyes with his hand and walking into the door frame.
"Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god!" Ginny and Hermione kept repeating to themselves squeezing their eyes shut and feeling their way out the door followed by Daisy and Lily who looked positively shocked.
"Get in there my son!" Sirius shouted while Remus dragged him out, blushing bright red.
"Uh…can you shut the door on your way out please?" Teddy yelled as Victoire dived under the sheets away from every one's view.
Remus shut the door and everyone just stood staring at each other until Ginny started to laugh and everyone followed suit.
They were still laughing as they walked into the kitchen a few minutes later and just as they began to calm down enough to eat, Teddy and Victoire walked in, looking bright red and avoiding everyone's gaze and another round of laughing began.
"So, I take it you are more than friends?" Lupin asked, a smile still playing on his lips.
Weeeeeeeell that was long chapter, I feel like it's so boring describing what happened because you guys already know! So sorry, I understand if you skipped those parts
