My Good, Loyal, and Reliable Friends
by: Paio Ichiris Jin
The second story in a collection of little crack stories I occasionally entertain myself with.
There once was a pretty little girl and a pathetic little loser. The girl was everything other girls wished to be. Beautiful, cute, a little oblivious and innocent. Overall, she was the orange haired idol of the school. On the other hand, the boy was short and was useless in both academics and athletic ability, the definite loser of all losers in school. It was true. This little brown haired boy sucked like no other. Nevertheless, he had the most number of good, loyal, and reliable friends out of anyone in school, regardless of whether he actually wanted those good, loyal, and reliable friends or not.
Now, it happens that this little loser had quite a big crush on the little idol. He wanted to ask her out but he knew that she would definitely reject him due to his ultimate loser-ishness. He pined and pined, waited and waited, always watching the orange haired beauty from afar. And he dreamed and dreamed of the day that he would be able to go out with her. His loyal friends watched their little loser silently until they could bear it no more! They had to help their friend win the girl's heart! And this is the story of the day Sawada Tsunayoshi's friends tried to help him ask the girl of his dreams out on a date...
"Yo, Tsuna!"
The brown haired boy looked up from his sneakers as he walked back home from school. He glanced over his shoulder and sent the tall boy behind him a weary smile. "Oh. It's Yamamoto-kun..." The black haired boy jogged up to Tsuna's side, smiling brightly.
"Hey, Tsuna." He flung an arm around Tsuna's shoulder, pulling their bodies against each other, side-by-side comfortably, "Today's lecture sure was long, right?"
"Mmm..." Tsuna mumbled, staring tiredly at the ground. Yamamoto raised an eyebrow and peered down at his good friend.
"What's wrong? You look really tired today."
"Huh?" Tsuna blinked for a second and then glanced up at Yamamoto before pulling himself out from under the other boy's arm. "Oh no, it's just Kyoko-chan... erm..."
"Hm?" Yamamoto watched as Tsuna blushed pink while scratching his cheek. The black haired boy chuckled and ruffled the shorter boy's hair roughly. "Ohhh, I see! Need some help with her?" He winked once knowingly.
Tsuna's face turned a deeper shade of red and he hurriedly waved his hands in front of him. "N-no! It's okay! It's impossible for a guy like me anyway!"
"Ha ha ha!" Yamamoto laughed and shook his head. "Tsuna, why are you giving up so easily? The most important thing is the way you approach her!"
"How I... approach her...?" Tsuna blinked, staring at his good friend with round eyes. Yamamoto grinned reassuringly.
"Yep! For example, it's always good to go for complimenting her first. To get the right mood before popping the question, you know?"
Tsuna nodded and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Complimenting..." Yamamoto nodded and promptly grabbed Tsuna by the shoulders.
"For example," The taller boy pulled them closer together, so that their faces were only inches apart. He stared deeply into Tsuna's eyes and spoke in a soft voice, "Tsuna... your eyes are always so beautiful..."
Tsuna blushed pink and backed away from Yamamoto. "W-wha?!"
Yamamoto grinned and rubbed the back of his head. "Whoops, was that too serious? Aha ha!"
Someone's voice suddenly exploded from somewhere behind the two boys. "Jyuudaime can't use such a lame approach!"
Tsuna swiveled around on his heels and noticed a familiar silver haired boy marching straight towards them at a fast pace. "G-Gokudera-kun!"
Gokudera rushed forward and rammed his head ferociously into Yamamoto, sending the taller boy spinning and bouncing away into a wall. Then, he turned towards Tsuna with a smile and bowed. "Good afternoon, Jyuudaime!"
"G-Good afternoon..." Tsuna mumbled, staring at Yamamoto, wondering if he was all right.
"Jyuudaime is trying to ask a girl out, right?" Gokudera smirked and gave Tsuna a thumbs up. "If it's just something like that, leave it to me! I'll force her into dating you... who's the girl?"
Tsuna's eyes grew as round as the sun and he shook his head violently back and forth. "N-no! Don't force her!"
Gokudera nodded obediently. "If that's what Jyuudaime wants."
Tsuna sighed in relief and held a hand over his furiously beating heart. Yamamoto sidled up beside Gokudera, grinning as though his head hadn't just hit a wall. "I think Tsuna should still go for the complimenting route. It always works!"
Gokudera scowled at Yamamoto and glared at him. "That's too cliche for this age, you idiot. Who falls for that anymore? Jyuudaime has to go for a more innovative approach that leaves a strong impact!"
"A strong... impact...?" Tsuna blinked a couple of times as the silver haired boy watched him confidently. Somehow... that idea seemed a little too... strong...?
"Oh?" Yamamoto stared at Gokudera in interest. "Like what?"
Gokudera's eyes shifted to Yamamoto challengingly and the corner of his mouth curved up in a smirk. "I have the perfect idea for Jyuudaime. Wait a second, I'll be back!" And then the explosives user vanished around a corner of the street. Tsuna sighed and shook his head. He shouldn't have mentioned anything. He shouldn't have even thought of asking Kyoko out...
"Don't worry, Tsuna!" Yamamoto smiled brightly. "We'll get Sasagawa to go out with you in the near future! You're a great guy after all!"
"Yamamoto..." Tsuna forced a smile across his face. "I'm glad you think that way, but I'm sure it's impossi--"
"Jyuudaime!" Gokudera's voice came from somewhere up ahead now, surprising the two boys once again.
"Huh?" Tsuna blinked wondering what his silver haired friend was planning. "He's back already...?"
"Jyuudaime!" Gokudera burst from the side of the street and rushed down the concrete, wearing a black tuxedo while flailing a bouquet of red roses and a box of chocolates in one hand. He stopped before Tsuna and stood before the boy, panting from all the sprinting. His head was bowed down nervously and he thrust out the large bouquet of sweet smelling flowers to Tsuna. "Please go out with me!"
Tsuna and Yamamoto stood very still, completely stunned by the sight before them.
Then, Gokudera looked up with a happy smile, cheeks flushed from all the running. "How was that? I think girls like chocolates and roses, right? This'll definitely win your girl's heart!"
Yamamoto and Tsuna blinked for a second. And then Yamamoto burst out laughing, clutching his stomach and leaning against the wall that he had bounced into earlier so that he wouldn't keel over in mirth. Tsuna's face went a deep shade of red and the smell of the flowers tickled his nose.
"Umm... Gokudera-kun... I... I don't think... I can..." His face grew hot as he tried to imagine himself doing the same thing in front of Kyoko. "No! I can't! It's too embarrassing!"
Gokudera's happy smile faded away and he stared at his flowers and chocolate with a crestfallen look. He looked very much like a young puppy that had just been kicked over.
"I see... so... Jyuudaime doesn't think this will work..."
Tsuna watched in horror as his loyal friend sighed and sat his handsomely-clean-tuxedo-dressed-self on the dirty dirty ground, a heavy aura surrounding him. The silver haired boy ripped open the box of chocolates and promptly proceeded to gulp down the sweets as though they were potato chips. Tsuna extended a shaky hand out to the boy. "Ah...! G-Gokudera-kun...? Are... are you okay...?"
"He'll be fine." Yamamoto grinned and slung his arm over Tsuna's shoulders again. "Anyway, I think if you maybe combine my approach and his approach, it should work!"
"OHHH!" A new shout came from behind the trio and they blinked as the older brother of Tsuna's crush ran towards them at an extreme speed.
"ONII-SAN?!" Tsuna cried out in surprise as the boxer slid past them and stopped a few meters ahead, sending rocks, pebbles, gravel, sand, dirt, silt, and dust-bunnies into the air. As the trio coughed and waved away the polluted air, Ryohei's face appeared before Tsuna's face, grinning passionately.
"Sawada! Join the boxing club!"
"EH?!" Tsuna yelped and scrambled backwards, afraid of the sudden proximity between them.
"Oh! Senpai!" Yamamoto smiled, "Just the person we're looking for. Since you're older than all of us, you should have more experience in winning a girl's heart, right?"
Ryohei blinked and glanced at Yamamoto curiously. "Someone wants to ask a girl out?"
Gokudera and Yamamoto simultaneously turned their heads to Tsuna, who in turn stared back at the both of them incredulously. The brown haired boy shook his head vigorously back and forth in denial. "N-no! I...! I...!"
Ryohei beamed. "I see! Sawada wants to ask a girl out, eh?" He crossed his arms over his chest and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "It's true that I'm older than you guys and I should have more experience... but the truth is..."
The trio watched the older boy in anticipation. What was the truth...?
"I'VE NEVER HAD A GIRLFRIEND!" He shouted the last part out and then grinned broadly at the boys. A bead of sweat ran down their heads as the crows flying overhead cawed, "A-hou... a-hou..."
"I see... I'm sorry about that, Onii-san..." Tsuna mumbled quietly, lowering his eyes respectfully.
Yamamoto smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pried..."
Gokudera offered the box of chocolates to Ryohei encouragingly.
But all this, Ryohei ignored and continued to grin without a care. "But if you need help, I'll help you with all my might!"
"Eh?" Tsuna looked up in shock and then waved a hand at the boy with cropped hair. "Oh no, it's okay... I'll be fine..."
"Hmm..." Ryohei stood, hunched over in thought, and he massaged his temples repetitively. "If I wanted to ask a girl out... I'd probably go at it extremely and full of passion!"
Tsuna sighed and glanced at a small unmoving pebble on the side of the street. "I shouldn't have said anything..." He spoke as though he were addressing the unmoving object.
"Ah!" Yamamoto pointed at Ryohei cheerily. "That's a good idea! Girls like passionate men. To show that you're committed, you know?"
Gokudera frowned and crossed his arms over his chest. "Let's see what you've got then. I think it's a stupid idea though, right Jyuudaime?"
"Er..." Tsuna glanced at Ryohei uncertainly. The boxer grinned and gave him a thumbs up. Then, he bowed his head, a serious aura about him. The boys watched in awe as Ryohei strolled forward confidently and then grabbed one of Tsuna's hands. He held the short boy's hand in both of his own and then stared down into Tsuna's eyes intensely.
"Sawada..." He began and Tsuna found that his eyes couldn't leave Ryohei's. Yamamoto and Gokudera watched from the side, hanging on to each and every second of the confession. And then, Ryohei boomed out in a loud and passionate voice, "I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU DEEPLY! WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME?"
"YIII!" Tsuna screeched and felt a chill crawl up his spine. He shook his hand out from Ryohei's hands and cuddled up against the wall Yamamoto had bounced off of, hands over the top of his head, shaking from top to bottom like a shivering little animal.
Ryohei scratched his head and frowned slightly. "It didn't work? I wonder where I went wrong?"
Yamamoto shrugged and rubbed his chin in thought. "I thought you did pretty good, actually... maybe if we combine that aura of yours with the rest of our ideas, it'll work!"
Gokudera moved to huddle beside Tsuna and offered the boy some chocolates. Tsuna managed to pull on a smile and took one of the sweets from Gokudera's palm gratefully.
"Oya? Isn't that little Sawada Tsunayoshi-kun I see shivering in fright over there?"
The chills that had crept upon Tsuna's spine increased and he turned his head slowly to face the blue haired man. "Mukuro...?!"
Gokudera leapt from his crouched position and moved to stand protectively in front of Tsuna. He flicked out two handfuls of dynamite and growled dangerously. "What are you doing around here?"
Mukuro lifted up a plastic bag and smiled cheerfully, "This week I do all the grocery shopping. I just happened to walk through this area today... Who knew I would meet the little Vongola and his friends here? Maybe I should walk down this street more often..." The blue haired illusionist tapped his chin thoughtfully.
"Don't you dare..." Gokudera scowled. The group of boys watched the newest addition in the street with great caution. Then, Mukuro broke the tension.
"By the way, who was just confessing to Tsunayoshi-kun?"
"Huh?" The boys blinked once, caught off-guard by the question.
"Well... uh..." Gokudera glanced at the ground and then peered at Ryohei. Yamamoto smiled sheepishly, a bead of sweat running down his cheek.
Ryohei beamed, "Oh! You heard me?"
Tsuna blushed pink and shook his head at Mukuro. "N-no! He wasn't confessing to me!"
"Kufufu..." Mukuro chuckled and shifted his eyes from Tsuna to Ryohei and then back to Tsuna. "It's no big deal, Sawada Tsunayoshi. If you're that sort of person, I don't mind. I wouldn't mind it at all!"
"N-NO!" Tsuna cried, staring at Mukuro with round eyes. "T-That's not it!"
"Yeah! That's not it!" Gokudera shouted, fisting a hand together and glaring at Mukuro. "Jyuudaime and the turf-head don't go together at all! He needs a guy who's way better!"
"Senpai is a little too forward for Tsuna..." Yamamoto nodded his head in agreement, eyebrows furrowed together in thought. "He needs a guy... a guy who won't scare him so much..."
"True, true..." Ryohei nodded solemnly.
"NO!" Tsuna turned around to stare in horror at his friends. "What are you guys saying?!" He returned to Mukuro and smiled nervously. "Mukuro, you have it all wrong! They're just trying to help me come up with a way to confess to... to..." He noticed the blue haired man was staring at him in interest and he blushed deeply. What was he saying? This was Mukuro in front of him right now! The guy who had nearly killed his friends and tried to take possession of his body in order to deal his revenge upon the mafia!
"Kufufu... so the little Vongola needs help with asking a gir-someone out?"
"A GIRL! Yes, a GIRL!" Tsuna cried deliberately, wishing he could just crush his skull against a wall and forget this day.
"Don't be so vicious, Sawada Tsunayoshi." Mukuro smiled and took a step forward. "I only wanted to offer you my help..." He took another step forward. Tsuna gulped and took a small step backwards. Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Ryohei watched on carefully, waiting to jump in to save Tsuna when need be.
Mukuro continued to smile sweetly and took two large steps, placing himself directly before the shorter boy. Tsuna froze and stared up at the blue haired man with dread.
"Women like men who are suave and charming. So, if you want to win your girl's heart, you have to... win them over with your charm."
"Charm? What charm?" Ryohei whispered to Yamamoto and Gokudera. They both shushed the boxer and continued to watch closely.
"First of all," Mukuro knelt down on one knee before Tsuna, "Make sure that you don't tower over the one you love because if you do, it might be too intimidating..."
"I-I... I see..." Tsuna mumbled, unsure of where this was heading to.
"Then..." The blue haired man gently pulled Tsuna's hand from the boy's side and held it affectionately, smiling and studying the hand with loving eyes. Tsuna blushed pink and tried to pull away but Mukuro held the boy's hand firmly in his own. "... you win their heart with your charm..." Mukuro closed his eyes and planted a sweet kiss over the knuckles on Tsuna's hand, caressing the skin with his lips. He opened his eyes again and smirked at the dazed expression across Tsuna's face. "Sawada Tsunayoshi, will you accompany me for dinner tonight?"
Tsuna gulped and felt steam shoot out of his ears. Yamamoto blushed slightly at the sight and Gokudera flushed pink while frowning irritably. Ryohei watched Mukuro in awe.
"Damn, he's good."
Mukuro stood up straight, still holding Tsuna's hand, and he chuckled. "Kufufu. So how about it? Why don't I treat you to something later today?"
Tsuna shook his head to clear his mind and he immediately pulled his hand out of Mukuro's. "N-n-no...! You'll probably try to possess my body or something!"
"Oya? Is that so...? You're quite a hard catch." Mukuro sighed and then shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well, at least I tried."
Gokudera ran forward and pushed Mukuro away from Tsuna abruptly. "Okay, you've given us your input. Now go away!"
"KYAA!" The cries of girls came from somewhere a few blocks down the street.
The boys turned their heads to stare in the direction the sound had come from.
Gokudera frowned. "What the hell was that?"
Yamamoto shrugged his shoulders and pointed at one of the cross-roads in the street. "I think it's coming from over there..."
"Let's go see what's happening!" Ryohei grinned and sprinted towards the corner.
Tsuna gasped, "Wait! Onii-san! It could be trouble...!" and ran after the boxer, followed shortly by Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Mukuro.
The boys peered around the corner, heads stacked neatly over the other, Tsuna at the very bottom and Yamamoto at the very top with Gokudera, Ryohei, and Mukuro in between. Tsuna's eyes widened as ten-years-later Lambo fought to pull himself away from the girls clinging on to his clothes.
"Lambo!" Tsuna shouted in surprise, gaining the boy's attention.
"Oh, if it isn't the young 10th Vongola..." Lambo panted out, trying to crawl away from a girl's hands.
"Lambo! You got hit by the 10-year bazooka?" Tsuna stared incredulously at the boy.
Yamamoto grinned. "Oh! Look at this guy! He's got a lot of girls around him. Maybe he can help, Tsuna!"
Ryohei nodded fervently. "Go ask him, Sawada!"
"EH?!" Tsuna looked up and blinked at his friends in confusion. "B-But... it's Lambo!"
"Do you need help with something, young 10th Vongola?" Lambo wheezed out, tired with trying to fight away the girls surrounding him.
"Erm... no... but do you need help...?" A bead of sweat ran down Tsuna's head as he asked the curly haired boy.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi wants to ask a girl out." Mukuro cupped a hand over his mouth and mumbled to Lambo, earning strange looks from the boys stacked under and over him.
"Oh, is that so?" Lambo smiled casually even though another swarm of lovesick girls circled around, crushing his body. "Well, you can always try--" And suddenly, a puff of smoke burst around him. The girls fell forward and blinked in surprise as a baby boy wearing cow-print clothes sat sniffling in the middle of them all.
"Lambo!" Tsuna yelled again in surprise. He sighed in relief. Although he had wanted to hear what the ten-years-later Lambo would say, at least the older Lambo was safe in his own time period again. Or was he safe...?
"Wha?" The girls shrieked and searched every crack and corner of the street. "Where did that handsome boy go? Whose baby is this?"
Lambo sniffled again and he glanced towards the boys hiding around the corner. He burst out crying and hopped away from the crowd of girls, latching upon Tsuna's leg with his arms and legs.
Tsuna stared at the baby, horrified from the feeling of snot and tears seeping into his school pants. But then he sighed and lifted Lambo into his arms, cuddling and rocking the boy back and forth. "Okay, okay. Stop crying. Everything's okay now, Lambo."
As the girls dispersed from the street, the boys watched Tsuna take good care of Lambo with small smiles across each of their faces. After all, Tsuna seemed to do very well with children. Almost like a warm and affectionate mother. Lambo's sniffles died away and he peered around at the other boys curiously. Then, he grinned mischievously and stuck his tongue out at the other boys before snuggling deeper into Tsuna's chest. Their eyes went round in shock. W-what was this? The baby wasn't as innocent as they had thought?!
"KYAA!" Another chorus of girls came from the opposite corner and they tilted their heads to see what was happening.
Hibari marched through the road, frowning deeply, with a sea of girls following behind him. His eyes were shadowed by his long bangs and his face looked very dark.
Tsuna gulped and felt beads of sweat drip down his head. "Hi... bari-san...?"
The boy's head snapped upwards when he heard Tsuna's voice and he stopped abruptly, causing the girls a few feet behind him to squeal with delight. Tsuna shook from head to toe as Hibari's eyes stared straight at him.
"If you don't get rid of this crowd immediately, I'll bite you to death."
"HEE!!" Tsuna screamed in fear. But his scream was drowned out by the piercing shrieks of pure joy from the girls behind Hibari. Yamamoto winced at the noise and Mukuro plugged his ears with his fingers while sporting a cheery smile across his lips. Gokudera clamped his hands over his ears and glared at the annoying fan girls. Ryohei stared at the crowd with wide eyes.
"Wow, Hibari! How did you get so many girls to like you so much? Maybe you can teach Sawada!"
Hibari's face darkened considerably and his eyes landed on Ryohei. "I'll bite you to death."
The screams intensified.
"Oh, Hibari-san!" One of the girls in the front line cried hysterically, clutching her hands over her heart. "Bite me to death! Oh, bite me to death!"
Tsuna's lips twitched from the absurdity of the scene. What...? These girls all liked Hibari because of his catch-phrase and dangerous aura? Was "I'll bite you to death" supposed to be a pick-up line or something...? He sighed and lowered his eyes to another unmoving pebble on the side of the street. He really didn't understand girls... He really didn't understand them...
Hibari's body shook violently and then he pulled out his tonfas threateningly. "I'll really bite you to death."
"KYAA!" A few girls fainted on the street, hair falling all out of place, while other girls rushed forward, throwing themselves at the dark haired boy.
Sweat ran down the boys' heads as Hibari started stampeding through the waves of girls, knocking them all down one-by-one. Yamamoto smiled nervously.
"Um... Hibari, I don't think you should treat girls... like that... ha ha..."
In less than a minute, all the girls had fainted upon the street and Hibari held his tonfas tensely, glaring at the girls, daring any one of them to sit back up. "These aren't girls..." He mumbled and then slipped his tonfas behind his back again. Hibari let out a very small sigh of relief and then turned to stare coldly at Tsuna and his loyal friends (plus, one Mukuro). "Well? What are you all looking at?"
The boys smiled and shook their heads, looking at any other spot on the street besides the spot a very dangerous boy occupied. "Oh, no. Nothing at all...!" They all spoke at different times but eventually said the same thing in the end.
Yamamoto returned to smile carelessly at Tsuna. "So, have you decided how you'll approach her?"
Gokudera pulled out his bouquet of flowers and smiled hopefully. "Do you need us to remind you of your options, Jyuudaime?"
"Huh?" Tsuna blinked once.
Mukuro kneeled beside Tsuna again and pulled the boy's hand towards his lips. "I'd be more than happy to remind you."
"WHA?!"
Ryohei clamped a hand over Tsuna's shoulder. "My way is the best! Just go for it and finish it off passionately!"
"EH?!"
Gokudera frowned and smacked Ryohei on the arm with the bouquet of roses, sending thorns and a shower of petals onto the ground. "What do you mean, yours is the best? Obviously, mine worked way better than yours!"
"Maa maa..." Yamamoto smiled nervously, trying to calm the boys down. "Let's just have Tsuna decide." He winked at Tsuna and whispered, "Pick me!"
"What?!" Gokudera growled angrily and shoved Yamamoto. "I heard what you just said! Jyuudaime, don't listen to him! Go out with me!" He pushed the bouquet of roses with a few missing petals to Tsuna.
Ryohei grabbed Tsuna by the shoulders and shouted, "I LOVE YOU! DATE ME!"
"Tsunayoshi-kun, you know what you really want to do... kufufu..." Mukuro smirked and pulled Tsuna towards him with his hand.
"Wha... wha...?" Tsuna felt his head swirl as the boys fought against each other to convince him that their idea for asking a girl out was the best. Hibari scowled after hearing the ruckus coming from the boys.
"You... stop crowding around Sawada Tsunayoshi or I'll bite you all to death!" He flicked out his tonfa and jumped into the fray surrounding Tsuna.
In the midst of dodging the strikes from Hibari, Tsuna sighed solemnly as he was pulled from one boy to the other, words thrown into the air with careless abandon.
"Tsuna, pick me!" That was Yamamoto...
"Jyuudaime! Go out with me!" Gokudera's flowers were in his hands.
"Tsuna, Tsuna... Lambo-san wants to go home!" Ah, Lambo was still here! Hopefully he wouldn't get hurt...
"Kufufu... I have you now." T-that... was Mukuro...?
"Causing so much noise..." H-Hibari...!
Hands were pulling at his ankles. Other hands were on his arms and shoulders. Someone was lying across his stomach, shouting at the other boys.
"I LOVE YOU, SAWADA! GO OUT WITH ME!" Came Ryohei's voice from somewhere near his feet.
And then a soft, "Onii-chan...? Tsuna-kun...?" came from a few meters away.
The boys stopped scrambling around Tsuna and paused to stare at the two girls standing on the opposite side of the street. Kyoko stared at the ball of boys curiously and Hana raised an eyebrow.
Tsuna blinked once and Kyoko blinked back.
He glanced around him and finally registered his current situation. Lambo was latched upon his right leg and Ryohei had two hands on his left ankle, arms stretched out, looking as though he had been dragging across the ground. Gokudera was sprawled across Tsuna's stomach, pinning Hibari's body underneath his back uncomfortably and Hibari was struggling to pull himself out, a tonfa raised threateningly in one hand. Yamamoto had his arms under Tsuna's arms, trying to support the heavy group of boys and Mukuro had tripped over Gokudera's legs when he had tried to reach for Tsuna. The bouquet of worn roses was clutched in Tsuna's right hand loosely, petals falling from the flowers like a shower of red across the boys.
"Erm... Kyoko-chan...?" He gulped, blushing red in embarrassment.
"Ah...!" Kyoko blushed pink and glanced away, scratching her cheek slowly. "I didn't know onii-chan liked... liked... b-b-b... and I didn't know Tsuna-kun... and... I-I'm sorry!" She yelled, cheeks blushing bright red and then she turned and started running off.
"K-Kyoko-chan!!" Tsuna screamed and extended his free hand, his left one, at the disappearing image of Kyoko down the street. "W-wait! It's not what you think! KYOKO-CHAAAN!"
Hana stared pitifully at the boys and shook her head. "This is why I like older guys..." And then she strolled off, following after her best friend to comfort and possibly brainwash her.
Tears ran down Tsuna's face and he sighed heavily into Gokudera's hair.
"Jyuudaime...?" The silver haired boy looked up from his spot across his boss's stoamch.
"Don't mind, don't mind!" Yamamoto smiled encouragingly. "I'm sure everything will clear itself up. You should decide on how you should confess first so that you'll be ready next time!"
"Yamamoto..." Tsuna sniffled pitifully. "I know you mean well for me but..."
"Don't worry, Sawada!" Ryohei shouted from the floor. "I'll clear everything up with Kyoko later! You should focus on picking one of us first!"
"I agree." Mukuro added in from his awkward position across Gokudera's legs.
Hibari spoke in a dangerously low voice. "Can I kill all of you today...?"
"WAHH! HIBARI-SAN!" Tsuna's eyes nearly popped out from his sockets. "Everyone! Get up! Get up!"
"NO! I WON'T LET GO UNTIL YOU GIVE ME AN ANSWER!" Ryohei bellowed out and was joined with the cries of agreement from the rest of the boys.
Tsuna foamed at the mouth and silently screamed in his head.
After that day, the little brown haired loser went back home, bruised and battered, with a little baby boy tagging along by his side. When he was asked by his mother what had happened that day, the little boy nearly passed out. His skillful baby tutor--who lived under the same house as him--merely smirked knowingly and sipped at his coffee before writing the ending to something in his book. In the end, the loser's crush, the orange haired idol of the school, never looked at him in the same way again and the pathetic little boy's good, loyal, and reliable friends continued to pester him from time to time. The moral of this story is: when one's good, loyal, and reliable friends offer to help oneself with relationship problems and they end up fighting over one, please start to worry about oneself and one's friend's sexuality. Although little Sawada Tsunayoshi was too innocent and oblivious to understand the implications behind his friend's words (for the most part), if one experiences the same thing, one must be very concerned and alert. Be worried. Very worried.
The end.
