Exciting News
January of 1980
"Honey, I'm home." Lillian Marie nee Evans Potter said as she walked into her and her husband's clean flat one day after her doctor's appointment.
"Sweetie, In here." Lily heard her husband's affectionate pet name for her called from the living room. She walked in to find her husband's two best friends, Sirius and Remus in there playing Wizarding Chess.
Sirius Black, her husband's best friend walked right up to her, put his arm around her and said, "Sweetie, I missed you today." while giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Should I be worried?" her husband, James walked into the room and said.
"You should be, I love your wife." Sirius said, whilst giving her another peck on the cheek before sitting down to resume his game with Remus.
"James, I have some exciting to tell you and I can't wait." Lily said as she turned to James Harold Potter. Her enemy of 4 years, her friend of 2 years, her best friend of 6 months, her boyfriend of a year and a half, and her husband of almost 2 years.
"Calm down, Lily. Now, tell me." James said.
"I'm pregnant!" Lily shouted.
"Yes, I call godfather." Sirius shouted.
"Not fair, why do you get to be godfather. I'm both of their best friend, you're just the dog Lily puts up with." Remus told him.
"I called it first." Sirius said as if explaining it to a 2 year old instead of his intelligent, 22 year old best friend.
"Hey guys, I hate to break up your little love fest/argument over MY child but James fainted and I can't wake him up." Lily informed him.
"We'll take of it, Lily, don't worry about a thing." Sirius said.
"Sirius, don't hurt him." Lily admonished him.
"Wouldn't dream of it." Sirius said while smirking.
"Jamesy, wake up." Sirius said. He and Remus both called their friend's name but after 2 minutes of no response. Sirius got impatient and turned into Padfoot, his anigramus form and started to lick James' face until a response occurred.
"Padfoot, off of me." James grunted while trying to get himself up.
"Sorry mate, you know how Padfoot can be. He doesn't voice, he just does." Remus said while helping his best friend.
"I know. Where's Lily?" James asked concerned.
"I'm right here, James. Are you okay. You were out for a good five minutes."
"Yes, of course just a shock. But more importantly, Are you okay? Do you need anything?" James asked.
"I feel great, the doctor says I'm in perfect health and there's nothing to worry about." Lily informed them.
"How far along?" Remus asked.
"3 months." Lily answered.
"He should be born in July then." James said.
"I hope so then he will share the same birthday month as his father." Lily said smiling at James before leaning up to give him a kiss.
"We'll just go now." Remus told them while pulling Sirius out the door after him.
"You don't have to go." Lily spoke up.
"You two new parents need some time alone to celebrate, if you know what I mean." Sirius them.
"Sirius, don't speak like that." They heard Remus admonish Sirius.
