In Minas Tirith
The morning found the Fellowship and their allies in the marble throne room. Everyone right away noticed that Legolas and Viridis were missing. Draco and Murtagh looked at each other and contacted Salazar and Thorn and asked about the location of Artemis. Satisfied with what they found they looked toward the group. Sirius and Snape noticed change in Draco expression and Sirius whistles to attract everyone attention.
-Do you know where are Legolas and Viridis?
-Thorn and Salazar saw Artemis taking flight with them during the night.
-Did they abandon us?- Gimli asked
-No, Artemis told our dragons that Viridis had sensed a change in the energy around Lothlorien...
-A change!?
-This can only happen in Galadriel power is...- Aragorn started
- Diminishing, yes - answered Snape
-What will happen?- Pippin asked
-Well the only way to strengthen the wards is for the leadership to change...
-And that means?- Merry asked
-It means that I am not the only one who has to become ruler- Aragorn said- Am I right?
-Yes...
-and Legolas, why is he not here- Gimli asked
-Legolas is Viridis other half- Draco answered
-So we are down two elfs and a dragon- Eomer grumbled
-Yes, however don't forget that you still have three elfs and two dragons- Severus looked at Eomer with steely eyes What are we going to do?
-The plan has not change we will march toward the Black Gate, this should be enough diversion for Frodo to traverse the land of Mordor safely to Mount Doom- Aragorn stated and everybody nodded
Two days later
The combined army of Gondor and Rohan left Minas Tirith on its way to Mordor. Every man in it, knew that this battle was going to be one of the last ones or maybe even the last one against the forces of Mordor. Some lifted they heads when shadow felt over them and saw the two dragons fly over them and disappear high in the sky. Their role was to intercept the fell beasts of the Nazguls and hopefully kill the servants of Sauron.
Few hours later the army stopped in front of the Black Gate and Aragorn announced himself. The gate opened and a rider exited Mordor and stoped in front of the army and started announcing his terms. This rider was the infamous mouth of Sauron. He presented the army with Frodo clothes and watched with glees how the two hobbits reacted to seeing them. Aragorn rode to the messenger and with one swift move of Anduril beheaded him. This gave the signal for both armies to attack and soon the battle started. The three surviving feel beasts and their riders appeared to support the black army but this was all they did because as soon as they showed themselves two of them were cut down by dragon flame and claws. The surviving Black rider and his beast tried to escape, however they were attacked by the eagles. The giant birds had flocked together and flown toward Mordor to help in the fight against Sauron.
Salazar noticed with his keen eyes a huge troll coming toward Aragorn. The troll didn't had a chance to make his attack because as soon as it closed up to Aragorn it found itself in the air captured by dragon claws before being shredded by them. Suddenly the battle stood still. Not long before, the eye has turned toward the mountain and now it was growing and distorting itself before exploding. Everyone knew what that mean as the mighty Black Tower disintegrated and everything that it has controlled crumbled around it. The army jubilation was halted as they watched horrified as the volcano erupts and the Fellowship feared for the two hobbits. With a sign from Gandalf the king of the eagles landed and the wizard mounted him before few of the eagles followed them to get Frodo and Sam.
A week later Frodo awoke to find himself in a comfortable bed. The last time that the hobbit slept in one was in Rivendell before this whole madness started. Soon his room was full with his friends from the Fellowship, but he noticed that two of them were missing. Legolas and Viridis. He lifted his head worriedly for them, but was reassured that both of them were in Lothlorien and that a message was sent to them that the battle was won. Now the only thing left for Frodo was to concentrate healing as in a few weeks times, Gondor would welcome finally after a long wait their king.
