Chapter 9: It's Over
As Kabuto cast the genjutsu all the jonin dispelled the simple illusion. Multiply jonin level ninja landed in the stadium as Asuma jumped into the middle of the stadium to assist Genma. The proctor had a hoard of ninjas that already started to engage him in combat.
Kakashi pulled out the kubikiribocho to their surprise to Gai. "My eternal rival when did you get that." The green spandex-wearing jonin asked the man he claims is his eternal rival. Gai block a kick from a jonin and gave him a knee followed by a leaf hurricane. "My student killed Zabuza, yes him, and thought that this sword fits me," Kakashi explained and Gai gaped at what Kakashi just admitted.
Kakashi slashed an Oto nin and jumped over a katana. He blocks the blade with his own and used the power of his attack to unarm his attacker. The blade flew up and implanted itself into the ceiling. The copy ninja landed made a set of hand seals, "earth style mud wave." As the ground rippled from the jutsu some of the ninjas tripped and lost their balance.
Kakashi threw kunai at incredible speed at the jonin on the ground. Only 3 out of the 7 jonin blocked the attack and the other was in a pool of their blood. He got surrounded and hid underground as a clone took his place. His doppelganger jumped and the ninja followed not wanting to lose sight of the legendary ninja.
Kakashi popped out of the ground far from the attacker and dispersed his clone. He felt a surge of chakra and he tries to run away from the jutsu but it was too late. "Earth-style earth doom." An earth doom surrounded Kakashi leveling him in pitch darkness. Kakashi built up the chakra in his right arm and a Rasengan formed. "Rasengan," Kakashi yelled at the doom shattered by the power of his sensei's jutsu.
"Gate of healing open, the gate of life open," Gai shouted as a green aura surrounded him. Kakashi caught the usage of the gate a knew that Gai was getting pushed. He lifted his head to show a fully matured Sharingan. Time provided slower for the jonin and he quickly dodge all of their attacks. He blocked a kunai and stabbed the unfortunate jonin with the kubikiribocho.
He jumped past a volley of kunai with explosive tags attached as it blew up a side rail behind Kakashi. The jonin used the Chidori nagashi that he saw Sasuke use and shout a bolt of lighting toward one of the ninjas. The ninja fell to the ground with a thump and he stab the ninja right behind the victim of his last attack.
Kakashi jumped back as he threw a single shuriken "shuriken shadow clone jutsu," the whispered as that one shuriken turned into a hundred. He followed the jutsu with wind style great breakthrough. The shurikens moved at impeccable speed and killed two of the four jonin remaining. He kicked one into the unconscious and impaled the other. Gai finished the crowd of invading ninjas and saw that the stadium was free of ninjas.
Team seven arrived at the west gate to see Anko with many chunin trying to fend off the hoard of jonin as chunin. "Fire style majestic destroyer flames," Sasuke yelled followed by Naruto "wind style great breakthrough as a white-hot flame that tripled the size of the Hokage tower rushed at the invading shinobi. "Water style great waterfall." One of the jonin yelled and dimmed the raging inferno.
Some of the more season shinobi most likely from the third shinobi war dodge the wall of endless fire that scorched the surrounding. Two jonin made a different set of hand signs as they both yelled their separate jutsu. "Exploding water wave," "lighting style electromagnetic murder." water doused the rest of the fire while the electrified water rushed at the group of Konoha ninja. Hinata jump to a rooftop not far away but was surrounded by 15 jonin. The girl started to spin in her clan's technique but add wind chakra. "slicing rotation," Hinata whispered as the jonins flew away with a deep cut that was most likely fatal.
She jump down with her team and saw that there were about half of the original 100. Naruto wanted to test what he can do without the hiraishin and rushed at the hoard. The blonde powered up a Rasengan and leaped into the air. Suddenly the spinning ball of chakra increased tenfold and he slamed the ball of rotation destruction into the ground. The forest around the west gate had a new man-made lake the size of the crater.
The number of ninjas dwindled and there was a meager amount that survived such an impact. The persistent shinobi rushed with no fear in their eyes and try to overpower Sasuke. Sasuke flip over a tanto that was going to slice him in two. He slice a kunai that was meant for him using his Kusanagi and grabbed the person's arm and twisted it backward. A blood-curdling scream came right after.
The Uchiha jumped once more into the air and kicked his blade into one of the ninja's heads impaling him. He landed and it looked like he teleported from his spot but he cast a genjutsu that made him flash around the ninja. "y-your Shi-Shisui," One of the ninjas caught off by the genjutsu. Sasuke grabs his tanto and stabbed him in the heart and he collapses to the floor with a thump. "Gen-jut-jutsu" the ninja muttered as he took his last breath.
Sasuke's eyes turn into the Mangekyo Sharingan. "Amaterasu" Sasuke whispered as the last Shinobi caught up in+ black flame. He was screaming in straight pain as the fire melted his skin and body to the bone. He turned into ash as the wind blew him away. Sasuke took the Kusanagi sword which was covered in blood and seal it. he turned to his teammates as Hinata check the area "That is all none left," She confirmed as the whole team nodded. Sasuke turned around as the chunins just stood there. "brat you're amazing," Anko yelled as she saw the massacre, team seven smiled as they ran into the distance.
(The academy)
Iruka was fiercely defending the academy students that were scared out of their minds. The academy teachers were assisted with the new generation of Ino-Shika-Cho. Shikamaru got one of the chunin trapped in his shadow Choji went to smash the sand ninja when she broke loss. The kunoichi jumped back and threw a volley of kunai at Shikamaru.
The Nara jumped back as Ino try to get the ninja with her mind transfer technique. As she used her jutsu she hit a cat in the distance since the ninja jumped out of the way. A got out of the mind of the cat she took control of and she saw how badly her teammates were doing. Choji had a cut on his arm and Shikamaru was desperately trying to fend off the ninja that was swarming them.
Soon after help arrived in the form of their parents. Shikaku jumped down and caught the five chunin attacking Shikamaru and Choza smashed the ground with his bo staff. The shock wave released the Nara jutsu but also made the chunin lose balance. Inoichi got into the mind of one and stab the chunin next to him.
"What are y-" the chunin yelled before getting stabbed in the heart. The other chunin rush at the chunin that just killed one of their comrades but Inochi left the body before he was stabbed. The chunin formerly in control of Inochi was stabbed before he say a word. Choza used his bo to slam the other three to the ground. "you three alright," Choza asked as they nodded. This is the shinobi world, it might be troublesome but I have been given wake-up calls from everyone. First team seven when that mission turned A-rank and Asuma right after the battle on that mission and now my dad and his team, I see this is the path I choose. I can't be a normal ninja to grow old I need to be skilled. Shikamaru was thinking about Ino trying to snap him out of his trans when Inoich call out to her.
Shikamaru got out of his trans as he heard Inochi talking to Ino "Ino the shinobi world isn't for love and game that will come later becoming strong is the first thing you should think you should do. Teamwork is important, yes but what is more, is your strength or you are that weak link. I hope this is a wake-up call I don't want to hear this after a mission, your daughter was killed in combat." Ino's face was paled at the last part but it was true she couldn't deny it. "That goes for all of you," Choza said with a serious face.
"Evacuate the students" Iruka yelled out as the new generation of Ino-Shika-Cho nodded. The class consisted of one Konohamaru Sarutobi the grandson of the third. The group of ninjas got to work and asked if there were any secret routes to the evaluation point, inside the Hokage rock. "That path was blocked by an enemy ninja," One of the chunin said.
Shikamaru quickly thought of ways to get the children into the Hokage rock. We can't take the main route because it would be blocked these kids are in the first year of the academy so we can't jump on roofs. We aren't the strongest but they will guard corridors and the route to the rock so we would need some type of escort because of the amount. Team seven would be a great help because they are jonin level.
The Nara finishes his thought and it seems like he had the devil's luck. Standing there was team 7 at least their shadow clones. " I think I know the pickle you're stuck in, if you need a sort of escort we can just make more clones." Naruto segested as Shikamaru nodded. "Alright, kage bunshin no jutsu." Naruto smiled as he perform one of his best jutsu.
The clone helped escort the kid to the tower it was smooth until they hit their first roadblock. "Look their ninja escorting students." One jonin pointed out, that he had two other jonin with eight chunin that assisted him. He jumped and was followed by his team. They cut off the genin and smiled seeing that they didn't have flak jackets. No chunin this will be fun one of the chunin thought.
They were on one of the big streets as it was the only path to take, "stay back we got this" Sasuke told team 10. No words were spoken between the two teams as team seven got into a battle stance. "Brats you think you have a chance you're delusional," The jonin yelled. He let down his guard his worst mistake. Sasuke teleported behind him and stab him in the heart. "H-h-how." The jonin asked the last Uchiha as smirk as a long sword went to his hip. He jumps over the blade and uses the recently impaled jonin as a meat shield.
The Uchiha jumped back to dodge a punch from one of the chunin and grab his wrist. He grabs a kunai and stabs the chunin's arm. Before the chunin could even scream Sasuke was behind him and stabbed a Hiraishin kunai that pierced the chunin's head and landed on the ground. "What the," one of the chunin yelled as he saw how easily the genin dismantled their members.
Naruto flashes Hinata into the middle of the group of ninjas and Sasuke jumped out. What's Naruto thinking they are strong but that is just plain stupid, I know you are dumb but this. Shikamaru's thoughts scared him as he came to all of the things that can happen none of them were good. "Slicing rotation, fire style great fireball jutsu." Sasuke and Hinata yell their techniques as a spinning wind and fire dome form slicing and scorching all of the opposing ninjas.
Team seven looked back the student was mortified and the same could be said about Ino. Choji stop his thought of food and looked at team seven. " W-why did you killed them, how are you not phased, your a murderer." Ino's voice sounded dead and bleak. " Ino welcomes to the life of a shinobi, you kill on a moment's notice. This goes for all of you students a ninja doesn't fight for fame and glory, he fights to protect what they believe is right. This is the profession that you have taken, chicken out, or deal with it." Naruto's speech gave the message that he wanted as the students steal their nerves.
The trip to the emergency bunker was without an interception. They got into the mountain as team seven poofs out of existence "Shadow clone," Shikamaru muttered as they went out of the bunker.
(The hospital)
Sakura dodges a volley of kunai from a chunin only 2 years older than her. Shino sent a hoard of bugs that the chunin dodged and retaliated "Wind style great breakthrough." The wind blew Shino's bugs away and it was an opportunity for Kiba to use a fang over fang. The chunin got hit by the attack and fell into eternal sleep. The hospital was not an issue as anbu were stationed around to protect it from the invasion.
The small amount of invading shinobi was at the gates ready to flee. Only 3 got away as this event would be cemented in the history of Konoha. The invasion did come with casualties as Konoha lost their Hokage. Without a kage, the council was frantic and called Jiraiya. "Jiraiya we believe that you would be the best as Hokage. You have done much for the village in the past and I think you will be best suited." Hamura explained as Jiraiya laughed.
"I wouldn't be a good choice, I believe the other option would be Tsunade." Jiraiya express as the council thought it through. "She has been away for more than a decade if you can find her we will elect her," Hamura replied. "I know where she is and one thing can I be other with me," Jiraiya asked and the elder nodded. "Great I think she should be back in a month or two." The toad hermit smiled and replied.
