[Chapter 4]
The Meis got too drunk to drive back to their apartment.
Izuku sighed to himself as he carried all 3 of them back to the skycar, his original pink-haired Mei sprawled out atop his back while Crimson and Blueberry were slung across his shoulders. The other Izukus supported their Mei as well, though some were obviously looking much better than others.
"Urrrrghh." Mei moaned. "I think I'm gonna be sick…"
"Mei, please don't puke on me." Izuku said quickly. "What were you thinking, chugging all of that?"
"It was a competition… and I won…"
"But at what cost?" Izuku shook his head. "Was it really worth it?"
"No, it totally wasn't." Blueberry answered from atop his left shoulder. "Oh man…"
Crimson snored on Izuku's right shoulder, already fast asleep. He began gently loading them into the vehicle, saying goodbye to his fellow Izukus on the way. Thankfully the skycar had an autopilot function that Izuku managed to activate, though it was a little hard to understand Blueberry's slurred instructions. There were so many buttons on the dashboard that it made his head spin.
By the time they made it back to the apartment the Meis were asleep, and Izuku had to gently carry them back to their bed one at a time. Once he got all 3 of them safe and sound he turned to leave, only to stop when he felt a tug on his sleeve.
Mei was holding on to him in her sleep, her eyes still closed.
"Don't go," she whispered. "Stay…"
"Mei, you're drunk."
"Stay…" she repeated, gently tugging at his hand. "Don't leave me…"
Izuku took a closer look. Mei's face was scrunched up in worry despite her being half-asleep, making him frown. He couldn't just leave her like this. With a tired groan he laid down beside her, careful not to wake the others while they slept. Mei's arms coiled around him in a hug, and she buried her face into his chest. The two of them stayed that way as she began to drift off into a deep sleep, and Izuku breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her expression relax.
This girl really was a handful.
Morning came before he realized it, and Izuku realized that waking up surrounded by beautiful women was nothing like his Japanese Animes. Someone had drooled all over his chest while he was asleep, one of the Meis had her feet right next to his face, and all three girls were clearly using him as an oversized, heated body pillow.
The trio mumbled in their sleep when he extracted himself from the pile, immediately feeling around when they noticed their source of warmth was gone. Izuku gently pushed them together, allowing the girls to hug each other instead. That seemed to satisfy them and they continued to slumber, Izuku making breakfast for them and himself in the meantime.
Sitting down with a plate of sausage and eggs, he grabbed a nearby remote and watched TV as he ate. Multiversal cable was… quite something. There were all sorts of programs on, many of them in alien languages and featuring species from all over the multiverse. Thankfully the subtitles were in Japanese, with Izuku flicking through the countless channels with a mixture of amazement and wonder.
After finishing breakfast he peeked into the bedroom to find that the Meis were still fast asleep. Instead of waking them Izuku ventured out into the city for a bit of exploration, marveling at the sights and sounds.
Since the Convergence Festival was in full swing countless shops and merchants lined the streets, holographic decorations floating atop them. Everyone was in a celebratory mood, smiles etched on their faces while music blared through floating drone speakers.
"GOOOOOOOOODDDD MORNING, CITADEL!" A thunderous, booming voice rang out, causing Izuku to flinch. "It's a wonderful Tuesday morning, and we're proud to announce that the Convergence Festival has officially begun! Isn't it wonderful, Mei?"
"It is, Mei! Now for all you first-timers, you might be wondering what's the occasion." Another Mei announcer replied. "Once upon a time, a great and terrible darkness threatened the entire multiverse. A rallying call was sent out, and countless Meis and Izukus came together to defeat evil itself! We hold the Convergence Festival every cycle to celebrate their victory!"
"That's right, Mei. But let's talk about the highlight that's on the top of everyone's mind, the Convergence Festival Tournament! Last cycle the final gamemode was 'Riftball', and the cycle before that it was 'Save The Cheerleader'! What exciting gamemodes do you think we'll see this year, Mei?"
"Who cares about the gamemodes, I want to see which Izukus are participating!" the other Mei yelled into the mic. "Last cycle Team Parsley won, followed closely by Team Cucumber and Team Lettuce. This year, we hope to see an even wider range of Izukus beside the garden-variety One For All user! Come on Meis, show us some originality! Even if their Quirks aren't strong, you can always help out your Izukus with a support item or two!"
Izuku blinked. That was some interesting information. It seemed that Izukus with OFA were pretty common here on the Citadel. He continued wandering around a little more, watching other Izukus and Meis enjoying their day. One of the more interesting shops he came across was a bakery run by a pair of Meis, and he bought some absolutely delicious pastries for both himself and the girls. As it turned out, not all Meis were actually proficient in technology like his Mei was. Some of them were just ordinary people, with ordinary Quirks. Still, they were Meis, which granted them special privileges in the megapolis named after them.
Wandering around, Izuku was subject to the splendor of the citadel once more. Everyone here seemed to live a life of luxury, with no Mei left behind. No one here actually needed to work unless they wanted to or volunteered, but those that did received even more benefits. For a moment he wondered how they managed to have all their citizens share the same standard of living, then quickly realized that deep down the Meis were all the same person. Of course they would find a way to utilize everyone's strengths and weaknesses.
After watching another parade drift by Izuku returned back to Meis' apartment, finding them enjoying the breakfast he made.
"Good morning, Midoriya-kun!" Mei greeted him with a warm smile. "Did you have fun in the city?"
"Yeah. Got something for you three as well." Izuku handed over the pastries to a delighted Mei before noticing the state of her counterparts. "What's up with them?"
"Murrrghh…"
"Zzz…"
Crimson and Blueberry looked disheveled in comparison to Mei, their hair an absolute mess. Izuku looked between them, intrigued at the differences.
"Bad hangover."
"How come you don't have one?"
"Nanomachines, son." Mei sipped her morning coffee. "Any second now…"
The two other Meis straightened, and all of a sudden they were right as rain. Izuku slowly turned to his Mei, already raising an eyebrow at her while they began eating breakfast after a couple of yawns.
"Hatsume-san, did you put nanomachines in the coffee?"
"I refuse to comment unless my lawyer is present." Mei said nonchalantly, resuming her breakfast.
[x]
An hour later they were at the Crucible, the grand arena where the tournament was supposed to take place. Its gargantuan size dwarfed any other stadium found on earth, the megastructure easily having a max capacity of a quarter of a million people.
Just walking up to it made Izuku gulp. All those people were going to be watching him, along with millions across the multiverse since the event would be televised. Mei caught his concerned expression and held his hand, giving him a quick smile.
"Come on. It's not like you haven't done this before." she said.
"Yeah, but the U.A Sports Festival was different." Izuku breathed, tugging at the collar of his new costume. "I can't even comprehend the sheer scale of something like this."
"If it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one who's nervous." Crimson nudged his side gently. "Look over there."
Izuku glanced at where she pointed. There he saw other Izukus talking to their Meis, exchanging hugs and encouraging words before they made their way in through the participants' entrance. Some were clearly more nervous than the rest, while others were excited at the prospect of facing powerful opponents like themselves.
"Hey, eyes up."
Izuku looked back to Blueberry, who'd called out to him. She gave him a hug and patted him on the back, causing him to still for a moment.
"This isn't like the Sports Festival, alright?" she said with a small smile. "Everyone's here just to have a good time. There are no stakes involved, so there's no need to worry."
That allowed him to relax a little. She was right. This time All Might wasn't counting on him to tell the world that he was here. This was just a friendly tournament between his fellow Izukus to celebrate a festival, that's all! He should stop overthinking things.
Mei giggled at his mumbling and leaned in to give him a smooch on the cheek, much to the shock of both Izuku and her counterparts. The young hero took a step back, face burning while he cupped his cheek.
"W-wha—" Izuku stammered, red as a tomato. "What was that for?"
"For luck. I saw it in a movie once." Mei grinned innocently, clearly not understanding the implications of her actions. "Go get 'em, tiger."
Behind her Crimson and Blueberry exchanged a glance before shrugging, closing in the very next moment.
"Mmm~" The blue-haired Mei tried to give him a kiss as well, but missed and ended up planting it on his neck instead. Izuku seemed to freeze into a block of solid ice. "Oh my. Good luck, Midoriya-kun."
"Ah, what the heck. Cm'here, big guy." Crimson gave him a playful peck on his other cheek at the same time. "Mwah~!"
Izuku grew dizzy when he realized all three girls had smooched him, even if it was all sweet and innocent. Never in his life did he think he'd get a kiss from a girl, especially not three at the same time. They giggled and sent him on his way, causing him to shamble like a zombie into the Crucible while dazed and confused.
The boy quickly regained his senses once he reached the assembly area. There he quickly filed away what happened earlier into the back of his mind, focusing on the task at hand. Right now he was about to face other Izukus in combat! Izuku took a deep breath, steeling himself.
"Alright." Izuku nodded, glancing at the ticket Mei slipped into his hand just minutes prior. "Battlegroup A, that means I'll be part of the first round. I can do this."
He pushed the massive steel doors open and entered, scouting out his potential opponents. Dozens of Izukus were already there in their own costumes, preparing for the upcoming battle. Izuku held his head high and walked forward, ignoring the glares and curious looks. Jackrabbit and Miracle were part of Battlegroup B and C respectively, so he didn't know anyone here.
I can do this. Izuku repeated mentally. They're just other versions of me.
He looked left, gauging the competition.
A tall, spindly Izuku with hollow eyes and a black, skintight suit was staring right at him, twitching unnaturally. Behind him was another massive Izuku who was in the middle of suiting up, his bulging muscles causing the metal gauntlets to creak. A third Izuku in a latex costume was sharpening a long, wicked dagger, looking up momentarily to meet his gaze before returning to her work.
Izuku looked right, wondering what he would find next.
A female Izuku dressed in what looked like a costume made of layered, stained glass gave him a nervous smile. Another, fairy-like Izuku yawned, her six-inch tall form flitting about with surprising speed and maneuverability. One Izuku caught his eye and literally hardened on the spot, his skin turning to sharp, jagged rocks. The shirtless Izuku smirked, cracking his knuckles.
I'm totally screwed, aren't I.
Another Izuku walked in, his athletic body clad in nothing but leather straps and belts. It was clear that his odd appearance was drawing some stares, but the newcomer didn't mind. Many of the female Izukus blushed and looked away, but a few did sneak a peak at that rock-solid six pack. The trouble started when the musclebound Izuku from earlier let out a snicker.
"Hey, buddy. I think you've got the wrong door." he smirked. "Leather club's two blocks down."
The leather-clad Izuku glanced at him, matching his smug gaze.
"Fuck you."
"Naw, fuck you leather man." The bigger Izuku rose from his seat, tall and imposing. "Who the hell do you think you are—"
The two of them marched right up to each other's faces and began pushing and shoving, the situation about to devolve into an impromptu wrestling match until a few other Izukus stepped in to stop them. Izuku groaned, massaging his temples.
After that little fiasco there was nothing to do but wait since everyone was more than a little tense. The friendly Izukus were too nervous to approach the others, while the more battle-ready Izukus were too focused on the prospect of a good fight ahead. A buzzer blared, catching the attention of every Izuku in the room. Beams of glowing blue light were directed on everyone, and when Izuku blinked he was on the main Crucible grounds with the others. They'd been teleported right onto the battlefield.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" An orange-haired Mei announced, the jumbotron and massive screens lining the stadium flickering and refocusing on her visage. "Welcome to the 147th Convergence Festival Tournament! We hope you enjoyed the performance earlier but now it's time for the main event! I'm your host, Tangerine—"
"—And I'm your other host, Lime!" Her Izuku said from beside her in the announcer's booth. "To start off, the audience will be protected at all times by our patented Meitech energy shields, so feel free to go all-out! Your fellow Izukus can take a beating!"
"Not only that, but the Crucible runs on the Trion Body System, which means death is not the end! Eliminating another Izuku will destroy their artificial Trion body and send them back to the respawn area, but no actual harm is done. Feel free to unalive each other as much as you want. The wonders of Meitech, everyone!" Tangerine yelled, hyping up the crowd. "Word of advice, try to keep things rated T for Teen for all the little kiddies watching at home. Any cursing or swearing will be automatically censored by our Crucible Control Team!"
"Lame. All For One can suck my BLEEP."
"Thanks for the demonstration, Lime! Now, what's the difference between this and the U.A Sports Festivals you Izukus are so familiar with?"
"It's simple, Tangerine. It all boils down to one word—Teamwork." Lime leaned into the mic. "Lots of Izukus like to go all lone wolf, which more than often gets them into big trouble that might cost them their lives. Just like that wet blanket Izuku-Prime, can you believe it? I mean, at least he looked cool for awhile with that ultra-edgelord costume but it all came crashing down when he had to be saved by his friends again. No, what we've learned is that Izukus need to learn how to work together with others, especially when they have overwhelmingly powerful Quirks like One For All!"
"Absolutely correct, my boy! Remember, there is no 'I' in 'team' but there's an 'I' in 'die'. This tournament will be focused on helping you Izukus work together! None of that 'I'm-the-only-one-who-can-stop-him nonsense. As our old friend Izuku-006 used to say, 'Teamwork makes the dream work'!"
"Rest in spaghetti." Lime said, closing his eyes and putting a hand to his heart.
"Never forgetti." Tangerine agreed, nodding sadly.
"I'M STILL ALIVE, YOU PRICKS!" A hooded Izuku yelled from the crowd.
"Anyway, on with the show. Without further ado, let's hear it for Battlegroup A!" Tangerine exclaimed, flicking a switch so the spotlights focused on the Izukus below.
Izuku raised an arm to shield himself from the blinding light, wincing. The crowd roared in approval, cheering and stomping their feet. Just the sound alone almost caused him to stagger, the sheer amount of people causing his heart to beat faster in both excitement and anticipation.
"Can you dig it? Can you dig it?! " Tangerine roared, her magnified image appearing as a giant hologram above the stadium. "CAAAANNN YOU DIIIIIGGGGG ITTTTTTT?!"
Cheers and whistles erupted from the crowd, rending the air itself. Automated camera drones floated high above, recording every detail in 16K high definition for those who were watching at home.
"As per tradition, the opening round will be… " Lime paused for dramatic effect. "A Battle Royale!"
The words 'Battle Royale' replaced Tangerine's massive hologram, accompanied by digital fireworks and dragons that circled around the text.
"Listen up, kids. Each of you have three 'lives'. The longer you survive, the higher your overall point score will be. However, eliminating another Izuku will give you some of their points!" Lime continued with a smug grin. "Assisting your fellow Izuku in eliminating another will grant a few points as well! The more the merrier, people! Woo!"
So it's just like the end of the obstacle course back at U.A's Sports Festival, but with a twist. Izuku thought, mumbling to himself. I suppose they used a similar format for an easier understanding, but that also means these points will be used in a similar way. Maybe something like the cavalry battle is also available as a gamemode?
Whispers and soft muttering reached his ears and Izuku looked around in surprise to see that some of his counterparts had the same mumbling habit. Others were already busy formulating strategies, eying their fellow Izukus with competitive gazes.
"There's only one objective here: survive! The longer you survive, the more points you will get. Remember that for eliminations, a portion of your defeated opponents' points will go to both you and any who assist you! Everyone's a target in this inescapable battle royale!" Tangerine thundered. "What will you do, Izukus? Will you run the gauntlet alone? Or will you triumph together with the power of friendship? The Crucible shall test your might and skill, and just as iron sharpens iron… Izuku shall sharpen Izuku. There can be poetry in destruction, beauty in conflict. Who knows, there might even be love on the battlefield. Now write me some poetry, with your fists. Do it!"
"Ever the battle enthusiast, my orange-themed friend. But before we begin, a word from one of our many sponsors." Lime lost his smarmy tone and began blatantly reading from a document on the announcer's table. "This tournament is sponsored by MeiVPN."
"MeiVPN? What's that?" Tangerine said, clearly feigning ignorance.
"MeiVPN is an extranet protective service that hides your activity and prevents malicious websites and artificial intelligences from tracking you by building a wall of virtual Meis to protect your device." Lime drawled in a bored voice. "Meis, have you ever been caught hacking into protected government databases, foreign fluctlight clouds, or alien organo-networks? With MeiVPN, your infiltration programs will be like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. Total deepdive cloaking, or your money back guaranteed. Just sign up and use the code 'MEIBESTGIRL' to redeem your free one month trial today. That's M-E-I, B-E-S-T…"
Izuku blinked, not quite expecting that. It seemed that some things never changed. He opted to try and formulate a strategy of his own instead, trying to figure out a way to survive. With Full Cowl he could constantly dodge and evade attackers, but that might leave him on the lower end when it came down to points. They'd designed this first round in a way that there were two viable strategies… attack or evade. He already knew he had to do a mix of both and team up with other Izukus in order to stand up to some of these powerhouses.
"—Back to the show! Izukus, are you ready?!"
Izuku raised his arm and cheered when he saw the others doing so. A ring of pink light manifested upon his waist, and the number '1000' appeared above every Izuku's head. Their point values.
"Each and every one of you will be teleported to a random starting position once the countdown ends, and then it's all up to you. May the odds be ever in your favor, comrades. I'm betting on lots of ya." Lime announced with a smirk. "Three!"
"Two!" Tangerine counted, the audience echoing her excitement.
Izuku held his breath.
"One!" Both announcers and the audience exclaimed.
The world spun in a flash of pink light and Izuku found himself at a different part of the battlefield.
"STTTTAAAAAARRRRRTTTTT~!"
Everything seemed to happen, all at once. At the far end of the stadium one Izuku grew fifteen meters tall, stomping down with a giant foot to cause a localized earthquake. Multiple Izukus took to the skies with both Quirks and support items, already exchanging fire the moment they were freed from the teleporting ring. The Izuku in the stained glass costume whistled into the air, raining down countless shards onto her opponents below.
It was pure chaos, and Izuku's mind analyzed it all while the world seemed to slow around him.
He got to see what happened when one was 'eliminated'. An Izuku took a massive glass shard that cut him in half, and he gasped before exploding into white, glittering particles. The same Izuku 'respawned' a moment later at the far end of the battlefield, his point values diminished by a third. He got back into the fight instantly, leaping into the melee.
Time to move. Izuku leapt to the side and dodge a bolt of yellow lighting, shooting a glare at the one who fired it. He wasn't sure if he could bring himself to kill someone even if it was just a game, but reasoned he could knock the other Izuku out. He rushed forward in the blink of an eye, fist lancing forward—
"Guh!"
—and coring through the other boy's midsection in a spray of glittering white particles. Izuku watched in shock while his opponent shattered into nothingness, respawning elsewhere only moments later. It'd happened so fast that he barely even had time to process it. He hadn't planned on 'killing' the other Izuku, even lowering Full Cowl to 3% to soften the blow.
A quick look around made him understand what was happening. Somehow the artificial Trion bodies they were in had lower 'health values', allowing them to be destroyed more easily. It was like one big game…
Izuku shrugged, rolling with the punches. He darted backward when an armored Izuku closed in, a sparking, chrome lance stabbing at where he'd been only moments ago. Izuku closed in with a deadly right hook which knocked his opponent back, but the knight was immobilized when he was suddenly seized by a magnetic force. Another Izuku squeezed his hands shut and crushed the poor knight like a tin can, causing Izuku to wince. That looked excruciating, and he hoped the feedback of pain was reduced.
As it turned out, it was. One Izuku was torn in two by another, and all he did was let out a disappointed cry before disappearing. Izuku launched into the air to gain the high ground, only to immediately realize that was a huge mistake when multiple fliers converged on his location. Two harpy-like Izukus with feathered wings and birdlike claw legs swiped at him, and one slashed him across the chest in what would have been a deep wound. The pain was… numbed. Instead of blood the same glittering particles flowed out of him, indicating he was damaged. Izuku was so busy studying the effects that he didn't notice one harpy crashing down on him like a house of falling bricks, her claws closing around his throat. She squeezed, and…
SNAP
The world went black.
Izuku respawned, gasping in shock. He patted himself down, the glow from the respawn mechanic quickly dissipating and sending him back into the fight. He'd died, just like that. It was insane!
"OOOOOOHHHHH! That's gotta hurt!" Lime yelled out.
A giant Izuku was staggering, impaled by a trio of massive, glowing pillars. He fell backward and crushed a few other Izukus in the process, the whole lot of them disintegrating into white powder before respawning again.
No choice but to roll with the punches, just like Odin told him. Izuku hurtled back into the fray with two lives left. The announcers continued to yell but he ignored them, focusing on evading any unnecessary fights.
He skidded to a stop when he nearly collided with a fleeing Izuku, the girl looking right at him with wide, frightened eyes. The number '325' floated above her head, indicating she'd lost around two of her lives. Izuku hesitated, and so did she. An explosion echoed behind him and the shockwave pushed him forward, causing him to fall right on top of her.
The smaller, female Izuku squeaked and turned bright red, cupping her hands over her mouth. He quickly got off her with an apology, blushing as well.
"S-sorry!" Izuku stammered. "I wasn't going to attack you—"
She gestured silently, clapping her hands together and moving them about in what he interpreted as sign language.
"I don't understand what you're saying…"
The girl signed again but pointed at the ground beside her, motioning him over with visible panic while looking at something behind him.
"You want to team up with me? Um, I don't think—" Izuku began, stopping for a moment. Wait a minute. Did this round have a hidden component of 'rescue points', just like U.A's entry exam?
His thoughts were interrupted when a series of massive booms echoed behind him. Turning around, he was met by the sight of a gray-skinned, shirtless Izuku under attack from all directions. Despite it all the gray, musclebound Izuku was grinning, Quirk effects and projectiles from support items seeming to vanish once they touched his skin. The numbers '7368' glowed atop his head, indicating to everyone that he'd eliminated many of his fellow Izukus. All it did was make him a big, fat target, but it seemed that it was exactly what he was hoping for.
The mute, female Izuku's eyes widened in alarm, and she quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him close.
"W-what are you—"
She opened her mouth for a whisper and the air seemed to distort in a sphere around them, forming a protective cocoon. Izuku was confused but she clearly noticed something about the nearby battle, and rightly so.
The gray Izuku exploded with the force of an artillery barrage. Each and every attack that was absorbed by him earlier came flying right back out with twice its original force, and Izuku realized that the other boy's gray skin worked like a portal to a pocket dimension. Any sort of projectile attack would simply be absorbed and redirected. The blast sheared away the environment around the gray Izuku, unimaginable amounts of kinetic energy tearing apart anyone standing nearby. Its shockwave washed over their little bubble shield like a tsunami, sparing them from most of the damage.
[Quirk: Mirror Coat]
Izuku trembled in excitement. So many Izukus, with so many different Quirks...
Another Izuku dropped from the sky, a brilliant glowing shape in the form of a lion sprouting from his back. This blonde Izuku growled and began visibly charging up in the sunlight, his leonine projection growing larger by the second.
He had a reverse Dark Shadow that grew stronger in the light.
"We've gotta get out of here." Izuku said, wrapping an arm around his dimensional counterpart's waist. "Hold on tight!"
The mute, female Izuku let out a squeal as he rocketed into the air with her in a bridal carry. Below them the blonde and gray Izuku clashed in a deafening explosion that shattered the earth, glowing claws clashing with powerful energy blasts.
Izuku didn't repeat his previous error and watched the skies for any fliers, spotting six closing in. He cursed and pumped his legs to burst forward, wincing when a dull pain ran up to his knees. The technique he used still wasn't perfected, a mimicry of All Might's aerial maneuverability. It didn't matter as Izuku pulled his right leg back and primed it with One For All, unleashing a devastating blast of air and kinetic force that sent the fliers scattering.
"Crap, he's an OFA user!" One of the flying Izukus yelped.
"Circle around!" said another.
Izuku grunted and blasted himself forward with the recoil from another downward kick powered by OFA. The mute girl in Izuku's arms looked behind them, her eyes locking on to the approaching enemies. Izuku leapt off one flier's head and used him as a stepping stone to gain more airtime, having discovered one of his limits in the battle. He couldn't freely move in mid-air like All Might did, not having enough mastery over One For All to manage such delicate air blasts. The flying Izukus closed in like vultures and Izuku prepared to defend himself.
He didn't have to do a thing when the mute girl he was carrying beat him to the punch. She opened her mouth and a beam of blinding white energy raced outward, spearing one flier and eliminating him almost instantly. She moved her head and swept the beam in an arc, bisecting two more and causing their other attackers to flee.
"Wow!" Izuku gasped, landing with a heavy thump before setting her down. "That's an amazing Quirk!"
She nodded shyly, and Izuku realized she was unable to speak properly because of her Quirk. He spotted something behind her and pushed her aside only moments before a huge, spiked tentacle smacked down on where she once was. The mute turned about and used her beam attack again, practically vaporizing their attacker.
It wasn't just a beam. That shield from earlier… sound? No, air. She's using her breath to power her attacks? Izuku observed, muttering incoherently. Air manipulation… She's an aerokinetic! Blasting breaths—
The mute girl looked shocked at how quickly he deduced what her Quirk was, but refocused when she noticed more enemy Izuku rushing at them from behind. She pulled him aside just like how he did to her earlier, the insides of her mouth glowing bright white before unleashing a wide-angle blast that eliminated their opponents with extreme prejudice.
[Quirk: Aero Blast]
Izuku soon noticed that some points from the Izukus she downed went to him as well. That counted as an assist? He thought for a second and realized how it worked. It was because they were working together.
"Alright!" Izuku declared, taking on a combat stance. Two punches lanced out and deflected a pair of arrows aimed at his new friend. "Let's work together, then!"
She nodded and the two of them put their backs against each other while a horde of other Izukus charged, intent on claiming their points. Izuku stood his ground, a wide grin blooming across his face. No actual consequences, and he was free to go all out with One For All…
"This is where the fun begins."
[Chapter 4 End]
Thank you for reading!
So many Izukus.
The title 'Multiverse of Mei-ness' will make sense in due time.
