Chapter 30: Private Session Reports

NOTE: The preface of the tributes assessment score for the 10th Annual Hunger Games, and their descriptions of what they have done during today's assessment, and the scores we have given for each tribute. We hope that Circe Ashton, our beloved interviewer, is able to use this to guide her questions, if anything else fails.

NAME: Merille Tesfa

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 1

SKILL SHOWN: Merille has shown us his demonstration of the longbow for a couple of minutes. He was very adequate and nearly hit the bullseye. Afterwards, he moved onto throwing knives, until the time was up. More impressive than the longbow display, if you ask me.

ODD: 6: 1

NOTE: Son of a war veteran who fought with us during the war against the Districts. The father helped groom his kids up for these games as soon as he heard the intel news.

NAME: Affluence Cardeza

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 1

SKILL SHOWN: Affluence has shown us her commitment in running around the training center, carrying over a thirty pound backpack strapped to her back, along with carrying throwing knives with her, and striking it against the targets with ease. She only missed about five out of 12 throwing knives.

SCORE: 7

ODD: 16: 1

Note: Affluence comes from a rural village in the outskirts of the district. She serves as a messenger and mainly grew up, hearing stories about the war from the war veterans in the district. Comes from a disadvantaged background.

NAME: Kairi Oriol

AGE: 18

DISTRICT: 2

SKILL SHOWN: Kairi has shown us his running across the room, and how fast he could run without tiring himself. Afterwards, Kairi showed us how to use the trident and went up with the instructor, until time was up. He displayed adequate usage with the trident.

ODD: 20: 1

NOTE: Kairi goes by Kai. Son of a traitor to this country. The father was executed for his crimes, and the boy and his mother were monitored by the Capitol, and the district authorities in case of any rebellion activity.

NAME: Pandora Justice

AGE: 18

DISTRICT: 2

SKILL SHOWN: Pandora has displayed her wrestling skills with the instructor. She successfully beat the instructor a handful of times, due to her height and her build. The instructor was forced to concede in order to avoid not passing out on the job. She has slammed the war hammer against the metal, hard floor several times with ease, once she was done with her wrestling.

NOTE: According to her background check, Pandora has a history of bullying the scrawny kids, and kids who were generally weaker than her. She isn't confirmed as a psychopath, but watch out for her during the games.

NAME: Breccan Herschel

AGE: 17

DISTRICT 3

SKILL SHOWN: Breccan has attempted to build a shelter, with trying to lean (fake) branches onto the wall. The branches crumbled to the ground, and Breccan didn't quite get to finish. He struggled through making it, in the ten minutes we had with him.

NOTE: Breccan is blind from a chemical accident during the war.

NAME: Veronica Alder

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 3

SKILL SHOWN: During her performance, Veronica has displayed proficient camouflage skills. She managed to make herself blend into the shadows of the room, by painting her dark skin with the colors of black, and anything dark to match the shade of the shadows.

SCORE: 5

ODD: 30: 1

NOTE: Orphan. She is a bit hard to open up to, and is anti-social to people.

NAME: Brine Clemont

AGE: 16

DISTRICT: 4

SKILL SHOWN: Brine showed us his mastery with a trident which he quickly defeated the trainer, in a matter of minutes. He quickly weaved a net that was solid, and most likely would trap tributes in it. He spent the last couple of minutes, throwing weights around, until we told him it was good.

ODD: 10: 1

NOTE: Brine has shown that he is cautious around water, which might be his downfall.

NAME: Audrey Holloway

AGE: 18

DISTRICT: 4

SKILL SHOWN: Audrey demonstrated various weapon usage with us. She proceeded to quickly shoot a couple of arrows at the target. It didn't quite hit the bullseye, but it would still injure a fellow tribute. It was the same thing with throwing knives, but with more accuracy. She spent the last couple of minutes sparring with a trainer with a sword. By the end, they were in a stalemate with no obvious winner.

NOTE: Heard rumors and from the escort, Audrey might be pregnant.

NAME: Killian Swan

AGE: 18

DISTRICT: 5

SKILL SHOWN: Killian spent the 10 times sparring with a trainer, fighting with a katana. Killian has demonstrated that he was quite proficient with the katana, which may suggest that he has used a katana back home for some reason.

ODD: 18: 1

NOTE: Mayor's son

NAME: Kalia Haynes

AGE: 15

DISTRICT: 5

SKILL SHOWN: Kalia has shown us proficiency in her agility and running, by going through the agility test quickly. SHe was a little slow in some places, and had to catch her breath, but she was rather quick. She also showed us some plant memorizing skills that were also decent, however, she did mix up a little bit of the plants that would be good to know that they are deadly, and not edible, and vice versa.

NAME: Casey Cormone

AGE: 13

DISTRICT: 6

SKILL SHOWN: Casey decided to be very interesting with his chosen skill, or well… the lack, thereof. He has decided to give us a monologue on why gender is nothing but is simply a construction based around the social rules in relation to men and women interacting.

ODD: 48: 1

NOTE: It's such a shame those ten minutes came by awfully quick, some of the other game-makers were very curious to hear this kid talk, and ignored our glasses of champagne we had. Also, I wonder if the kid got the memo that he had to choose at least a skill, and not just a monologue.

NAME: Joette Tauruaia

AGE: 12

DISTRICT: 6

SKILL SHOWN: Joette has decided to show us her experience with hand-to-hand combat. She used quite a bit of time with the trainer, merely playing on the defensive rather than attacking. There were several times where we expected to see that she would do a trick defensive and then attack, but didn't. There was enough time where Joette was able to build a fire rather quickly, and was able to play with it. Some of the things were caught on fire, and we quickly extinguished it.

NOTE: Joette seems to have a lot of hand-to-hand combat from back home. Maybe pick that subject for the interview, Circe.

NAME: Grover Woods

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 7

SKILL SHOWN: Grover has shown his skills in climbing really quickly, with a pack of throwing knives with him. He demonstrated several parkour-stunts like moves from jumping from one place to another, occasionally striking the target below. Sometimes, the knives would miss the target entirely, or slip from his grasp.

ODD: 24: 1

NOTE: Worked in his family's woodshop, creating furniture and stuff.

NAME: Finley Ryland

AGE: 12

DISTRICT: 7

SKILL SHOWN: She demonstrated her proficiency with the edible plants quiz, getting to a 92% on her first try. Satisfied with it, Finley gave her hand with throwing knives.. She'd hit the targets in places where it would injure, but not maim the opponent' and sometimes, the knives wouldn't either hit the target, or was way off with it.

ODD: 40: 1

NOTE: She is part of a large family, being the second to youngest member of the family.

NAME: Auster Worthing

AGE: 16

DISTRICT: 8

SKILL SHOWN: Auster has shown us multiple skills that he was decent at. He started off with a sword that he was decent at, enough that it would aid in his survival in the arena. I doubt that he'd be able to kill with it, compared to another tribute who has more skill with it. He showed us his fire skills. It was a bit hard to get it started for him, but eventually, he got it started and would stay lit for long periods of time. Once he was done, he built a trap that seemed to work.

NOTE: He has dyslexia and has problems reading things, because of it.

NAME: Dorothea Winifred

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 8

SKILL SHOWN: Dorothea showed us a wide range of skills, she decided to go during the three days of training. However, she really wasn't very proficient at them. She showed us her ax skills that were very much too heavy for her, and couldn't slam it against the mat, or anything that would remotely be very impressive. Once Dorothea realized her failure with the ax, she decided to go with the bow and arrow, but the arrows never made it to the target. Instead, fell to the floor, nearing nowhere near the target. The swords were also the same problem she experienced with the axs, and simply had poor form and technique to do anything.

NOTE: It's better doing quality vs quantity to get a better score, but we appreciate her trying.

NAME: Consus Cormone

AGE: 15

DISTRICT: 9

SKILL SHOWN: Consus has shown us his proficiency with snaring and setting traps. He didn't have much difficulty with setting them up, and demonstrated that they actually work very well in trapping animals and other tributes inside the arena.

SCORE: 6

ODD: 20: 1

NOTE: Consus background suggests that he will bully, and will do whatever it takes to the Hunger Games. He decided to ally with Kalia who is prone to manipulation, and will leech off of others for success.

NAME: Mary Grace Su

AGE: 12

DISTRICT: 9

SKILL SHOWN: None. Realistically, if you count shaking, and making herself curl up in a ball, with tears streaming down her face as a skill, then she'd be excellent at it. However, that's all she did. She attempted to get up to a random station, but started crying before she even got to the selected station. She also left before the ten minutes were up.

SCORE: 1

ODD: 50: 1

NOTE: We have no knowledge of Mary Grace being at the training session days, and most likely hid in the bathroom, in viewing the security footage from the hallways. We can probably see her hide for the entire game, if she gets her crying under control.

NAME: Dov Blair

AGE: 13

DISTRICT: 10

SKILL SHOWN: Dov has managed to show us a range of survival stations that would help in the arena. He was very proficient with berry identification and managed to get a solid grasp on which ones could possibly be found in the arena, and would help him find food. He proceeded to show us shelter making that was decent, but there were some obvious problems with his attempt, but it was better than nothing. Lastly, he showed us his camouflage skills and before he could really finish and test it out, time was up for him.

NOTE: Was kicked out of his family, and lives on the street. There isn't really anyone he's close to back home.

NAME: Reese Corprican Crolique

AGE: 14

DISTRICT: 10

SKILL SHOWN: Reese has shown us her ability to attempt to patch up an avox with a first aid kit, she managed to grab it from the wall. It was just basic things that weren't too special, or could we really see her being a master at it in the arena. She also decided to bring out a ukulele that we have no idea where she got it from, and sung a song for us with a smile on her face.

ODD: 44: 1

NOTE: She has a really good singing voice, and I would really like to know where she got that ukulele from. Also, she has shown being very close to Jasmine Blanchard, and was a district transfer.

NAME: Demetrius Deck

AGE: 17

DISTRICT: 11

SKILL SHOWN: Demetrius has shown us with his brute strength against a trainer and used weapons such as a sword and an ax, to demonstrate how we can wield those weapons easily. He mainly focused on his strength, and didn't demonstrate much of the skills that are required for a sword and an ax. At the very end, we noticed that he gave us the middle finger as he walked out.

ODD: 28: 1

NOTE: Dememtrius has shown that he's very disrespectful towards people, including us. I wouldn't mind giving him a taste of his medicine in the arena, but who knows.

NAME: Jasmine Blanchard

AGE: 14

DISTRICT: 11

SKILL SHOWN: Jasmine quickly headed over to the obstacle course where she showed us how quickly she can climb, her agility and the speed. She didn't have much difficulty completing it, and completed it in less than five minutes. She spent the remainder of the time knot tying and using different types of knots. She did have a little more problems with it, but showed that she does have some grasp of it.

ODD: 36: 1

NOTE: Extremely close to Reese Corprican Crolique and is attached to the hip

NAME: Flynn Madigan

AGE: 16

DISTRICT: 12

SKILL SHOWN: Flynn has shown that he's very proficient with the knife throwing at targets. He threw knives at the targets for a couple of minutes, sometimes missing one here and there,but it's enough that he could use it to target other tributes if he needed to. He also decided to show his agility and climbing skills by completing the obstacle course for the rest of the climb. During all this, he explained to us why each of these skills would be useful in the arena.

ODD: 22: 1

NOTE: There's nothing of importance to him too much, but it does seem he might have problems with facing hunger in the arena. He's very well fed.

NAME: Alda Rushiv

AGE: 14

DISTRICT: 12

SKILL SHOWN: Alda quickly managed to set a fire that grew very quickly out of control, all while Alda was laughing and smiling. Things were already catching on fire, getting burnt to crisp. A couple of my fellow game-makers passed out from inhalation of smoke, and we ushered Alda out of the room. A couple of avoxes helped extinguish the rest of the fire that wasn't put out from the sprinklers.

ODD: 10: 1

NOTE: She can possibly win the games if she sets the fire right like she did here. Also, how on earth did she manage to set the water on fire? Her record also shows similar things back home. The total lack of wellbeing can quite possibly cause her downfall.

This was done during the week, because I somehow only had three assignments to do for school. I'll be cross-posting this on Ao3, sometime in the near future, shooting around the end of May!
