Chapter 7: Fly With Me

(Chloe's POV)

Joe and I arrived at Dani's house around 4:30 and were surprised to see Nick's mustang now where in sight.

"Oh my gosh, it's a historical day!" I squealed causing Joe to laugh. "Nick Lucas is late!"

I giggled as Joe opened the door to Dani's house. We walked into see Kevin sitting on the couch watching some sort of special on hippos.

"That interesting Kev?" Joe asked sitting on the couch.

Kevin shook his head turning off the TV. "Nope, in fact it was really boring." He declared.

I giggled. "So Nick and Nikki aren't here yet?"

Kev shook his head. "Not unless they have Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility."

Joe rolled his eyes at his brother as I sat down on his lap.

"Where's Dani?" I asked.

"Upstairs taking a shower and getting ready."
I nodded snuggling into Joe as Dani came downstairs.

(Dani's POV)

Ten minutes later the door finally opened to and in walked Nick and Nikki.

"Did you get lost?" I joked messing up Nick's hair.

He groaned a 'no' fixing his hair as I grabbed Nikki's wrist pulling her into the living room.

"Ok," I declared in a sing-song voice as Kevin stood. "Nikki this is my boyfriend, Kevin. Kev, this is Nikki Evans."

"Hey," Kevin smiled shaking her hand.

"Hi," She replied with a smile of her own. "It's nice to finally meet the detailed voice from the phone."

I smiled brightly as Kevin laughed and nodded. I was happy everyone was getting along well.

"Dani," Joe called walking out of the kitchen.

I turned to him with an over dramatic sigh. "Yes, Joseph?"

"You have no food. All you have is gross healthy shit." He complained with a pout.

"Then grab your girlfriend and let's go eat!"

(Nikki's POV)

Not even five minutes later I found myself back in Nick's car on our way to In-n-out, yes we decided casual.

"So," Nick said breaking the comfortable silence. "The song..."

My head shot up. "What about it?" I asked.

"It's really good and you're an amazing singer." He stated.

"Oh, thanks," Things suddenly became awkward for me as I really wanted him to drop the subject of the song.

"Is it about me?" He asks suddenly.

"What on earth would give you that idea?" I asked sharply.

"Well when I gave you a ride home you said you didn't currently like anyone and that I was the only guy you really knew here besides Joe."

(Nick's POV)

"So," She asked.

"And the date on the song was that date."

"Well I don't like you, Nick." She said harshly. "The song is not about you. So just drop it."

And now I remember why Joe and Kevin say never fall too fast. Nikki Evans just took my heart and stomped all over it.

(Kevin's POV)

"Do you think Nick likes her?" Dani asked.

"I do," I answered. "But I also he's setting himself up for heartbreak."

"You think she's going to break his heart?" She sounded worried as she spoke.

I shrugged switching lanes. "Honestly, Dani, I don't know her and neither do you or Nick. He has a tendency to fall for people to fast and too hard."

Dani nodded in understanding and we were silent for a moment or two.

"I think he wrote a song about her though," I said breaking the silence.

Dani perked up at this news. "Really?" I laughed and nodded. "Is it a cute song?"

"I'm a guy and to guys songs are either good or bad." I answered.

With an exasperated eye roll Dani replied; "Fine is it good or bad?"

I smirked glancing back at her before returning my gaze to the road. "It's good."

"Do you remember a line?"

"Yeah...it was... 'if it's you and me together if it's you and me right now i'd be alright.'"

"Aww!" Dani squealed. "Nickypoo's in love."

"Did you seriously just call my brother 'Nickypoo'?"

Giggling she nodded. "Chlo and I got bored. Nick is Nickypoo, you're Kevydoodle, and Joe is Joeydoo."

I rolled my eyes.

(Chloe's POV)

I smiled humming along to "Good Girls Go Bad" which was playing on the radio as Joe and I drove down the busy L.A. Street. I smiled even wider as Joe took my hand interlocking our fingers together.

"I love you," I whispered looking at his profile as a smile spread across his face he didn't reply as he pulled to a stop light. Instead he leaned over kissing me softly. "I love you too," He mumbled before he kissed me one last time. When the light turned green again, he pulled away.
