Chapter 9: Shout out

(Nick's POV)

I sighed as Nikki sat down across from me at our table.

"I'm sorry," She whispered.

Bewildered I asked "For what?"

She shrugged not meeting my gaze. "For whatever I did to make you so mad at me."

"I'm not mad," I answered truthfully.

She blinked before looking up and staring into my eyes. Damn her eyes are blue, I love blue eyes.

"It seems like it," She muttered.

"I'm not," I promised.

"Then smile or do something!" She declared. "Just stop sulking."

"I don't smile often,"

"I don't get that, you have an amazing smile Nick."

Joe, who sat in the booth behind us with Chloe, mouthed 'Be nice'. I guess Joe is right. I mean even if she doesn't like me, I need to deal with it. She's our friend and she's not going anywhere. So I looked at her and forced a smile.

"If you have to force it, I'd be happier with a frown." She stated. I groaned. "What now?"

"Just shut the HELL up for once," I said sharply.

(Nikki's POV)

I stared in shock as Nick stood grumbling "I need air," and walking out.

I looked at the bus boy who was watching us, probably trying to suck up every detail to report to the press. "We'll be back," I stood and ran outside after Nick, though I don't know why.

"Why the hell are you so mad at me?" I demanded as I caught up with him.

He spun around, his face red with anger. "You want to know why?" I nodded. "Wether or not you realize it you broke my heart and then rubbed my face in it."

"What are you talking about Nick?"

Groaning he grabbed my face roughly in his hands and placed a hard kiss on my lips.

To say I was shocked was an understatement. However slowly I began to respond. Once I did Nick softened it and his hands were no longer roughly holding my face the were softly caressing my cheek as one hand made it's way around my waist and mine rested softly on his shoulders. When air became a simple must we pulled away and I bit my lip to keep from smiling.

"I know I've known you two days but I really like you," Nick whispered with a smile as he pushed my hair out of my face.

I smiled "I like you too and that song was about you," I replied.

"I know," His smile turned into a smirk.

"What?" I said. "How?"

"I heard you and the girls talking," He answered. "Why'd you lie?"

I sighed. "I was scared you'd tell me you don't like me."

"Well I do, and I'm willing to take this as slowly as you want to."

Aw! He is such a gentleman! "Do you mind if we don't kiss for a while? As amazing as that I was I feel we should get to know one another better." I said shyly.

He nodded placing a soft kiss on my forehead, I could feel his smile.

"And just so you know those don't count." I smiled up at him.

"Oh so I can kiss your forehead and cheek?" He smirked. I nodded. Nick being the smart ass he is began to then kiss my forehead repeatedly. I giggled and hugged him tightly.

Hey I know it's really short. Sorry.

Review.
