Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 6 of Earth's Defense. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. I'm trying my best with writing this chapter and this story alone. It's just taking a bit longer than what it should take to write this whole thing out. I can't wait to show you guys what will happen during the past events of this first book. Without further ado Chapter 6. ENJOY!
Chapter 6
Etsuko groaned as she shifted in her bed buried under her green blankets. She could hear the shifting around of her brother moving around in the living area, most likely being woken up from a dream of the girl telling him to find the mystical Silver Crystal. She knew that it was beginning to drive him insane not knowing who the girl was in his dreams. Just like hers was driving her insane of a man that she couldn't see other than his sword gleaming in the light trying to protect her.
Her door slowly opened as Mamoru came into the room seeing his sister still in bed. His brows furrowed together as he looked at his younger sister. "Suko?"
Etsuko slowly poked her head out from under her blankets revealing her pale cheeks and her hair mussed up from sleep. Her red eyes were watery from lack of sleep and of course one other reason. She had gotten sick and it came out of nowhere for her.
Mamoru moved quickly across the floor to the side of the bed. He leaned over brushing his hand against her forehead. "You're burning up." He said softly, pursing his lips together, not liking the idea that his sister was under the weather. It meant that she would miss school and it wouldn't be good that his plan was now in motion to try and find the Silver Crystal.
Etsuko pulled her blanket up over her shivering body up to her chin. She looked at her brother through blurry eyes. "I'll be fine."
"Etsuko you're not feeling well and I'm not about to leave you here…"
"Mamoru you have classes to get to. I heard you on the phone last night… I know your plan is in motion to help find the Silver Crystal. I'll be alright while you're in class." She said softly gripping her blankets knowing that he wasn't having an easy time with the whole thing of her being sick.
Mamoru placed a soft kiss on her forehead. "I'll be back soon. I promise." He told her softly.
Etsuko nodded her head slowly. "Just try not to do anything stupid, please."
Mamoru nodded his head knowing that his sister wouldn't be happy if he did something wrong. "Rest and I'll be back soon."
Etsuko nodded her head as she turned on her side sleepily. She could only hope that the day that he would be having today wouldn't end badly.
SAILORMOON
Etsuko came out of her room bundled up in a robe, her brows furrowed together when she saw her brother carrying Usagi into the living room and towards his bedroom. "Moru… what happened?" She questioned looking at her brother concerned as she moved quickly to pull the blankets down so she could help him.
Mamoru put her carefully down on the bed.
Etsuko covered her up with the blanket. "What happened?" She questioned again, crossing her arms knowing that her brother not saying anything was a good sign.
Mamoru let out a breath removing his hat, cape, and mask. "You were right." He said as he looked over at his sister.
"I was right about what, Moru?" She was rather irritated about the whole thing. "The Silver Crystal thing… it backfired, didn't it?"
"Yes, it did." He said letting out a soft sigh. "I didn't think it out as well as I should have."
"Of course not."
Mamoru came over to his sister putting his hand carefully on her forehead and checking her temp. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling slightly better, Moru." She said softly as she heard Usagi shifting in bed.
Mamoru turned his attention to the girl that was waking up. "You're awake."
Usagi looked at Mamoru with wide eyes, seeing both him and the young woman that had been with him on many occasions.
Etsuko let out a breath knowing that this probably was rather surprising to her.
