Returners Rounds [Part 2]

"Jewelry had to drop out too?" Yuki asked the hosts.

"Yeah, her story is kinda still ongoing…stuff with her dad. So, she had to drop out." Boomstick said as Yuki looked crestfallen. "I'm sorry, man. You need time to process?"

"Yeah, I could use some." Yuki said before going off-stage.

The show was put to a brief break, and the remaining contestants were in the nearby longue. April tried to make small talk.

"So, it's down to us three." April said sheepishly. "Sucks to hear about Nerine and Jewelry."

"I'm not all too bothered less competition for me…but it must be nice that their world needs them." Tenten said with a sigh. "But my world doesn't give two shits about Tenten."

"That can't be the case." April remarked. "I'm sure the people around you value you."

Tenten gave a dry laugh as Revy instinctively got the kunoichi a drink. She could tell Tenten was about to unload.

"No, I don't. Let me tell you something about my universe. If you're not a container for a tailed beast, an Uzumaki, an Uchiha, a Sage, unnaturally strong, or whatever the hell those aliens are…you aren't shit. If you don't have a special fighting power exclusive to you, you're less than shit…you are an expendable meat shield for the actual valuable ninja…or if you're a kunoichi…you pump kids before you hit the wall." Tenten groused out at April and Revy. "I didn't become a ninja all fully because I wanted to…but because I had no other options as I was an orphan. Being a ninja gives you assurances of a decent stipend. It was either or get a career working on my back."

"I'm sure you had a great career as a ninja. You're alive."

"Yeah, being alive. 62 missions total…and only one of those missions mattered. So yeah, I'm alive. Doesn't mean much given I have no accomplishments to my name. My other teammate died, but he's respected and honored. My other teammate was my sensei's golden child who got all the focus and attention. I was always overlooked and forgotten about! Because who gives a fuck about Tenten and her weapon skills when you got kekkai genkai, family jutsu, or being the reincarnation of a goddamn demi-god!" Tenten said as she got angrier as she spoke.

She glared at her drink before taking a sip.

"Yeah, so I'm alive, and what do I have to show for it? Nothing but a useless headband that said I took part in a war that I was fucking useless in, memories of being trapped in an illusion of a life I wanted, old wounds, new wounds, and a failing weapons shop that bleeds money every day. No relationship either while everyone else I knew has kids or is married. The first date with Yuki was great…he just gelled with me, and I felt special. Then I went back to my universe after the date. Some alien bastard came to wreck shit up and I went up with others to fight him. But before I could even go jump at him, I didn't. Everyone else did and got the shit kicked out of him. It hit me. Why am I bothering to be fodder if it's just going to get me beaten up? I just turned around ready to go home and let Naruto deal with it. Not like anyone other than Naruto and Sasuke could even beat those things, so why am I wasting my time and energy? Not it mattered, the alien fucker kicked me through my shop!" Tenten ranted before trying to calm down.

"Fuck me…that just sucked to hear." Revy said as Tenten shook her head.

"Even if I don't win this game, I am going to ask Yuki if I can emigrate to his universe. Seeing that possible future with Jewelry made me realize that's an option I can take." Tenten remarked.

"Tenten, I'm so sorry that I opened a clear wound on your part." April said sympathetically.

"Don't be. I needed to get it out of my system if I want to make my dates with Yuki more effective. So may the best woman win…" Tenten said as April and Revy nodded.

Everyone soon returned to stage with Boomstick and Wiz ready to show the possible future of Revy and Yuki.

"We recalibrated the viewer and it's ready to go. So let's see what a possible future of yours." Wiz said turning the machine on, rolling the stimulation.

[One Year Later]

The scene starts with Yuki arriving home from work, nearing late into the night. He got out of his car to see Revy's red Attrazione parked. He entered his home announcing he was home. Revy was washing dishes to his confusion, but he saw Morgaine on the couch with an ice pack on her ankle.

"Hey, baby. Morgaine was doing some yoga with me, and she pulled a muscle." Revy said.

"Oh…ok then." Yuki said, closing the door. "Morgaine, you ok?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Just a bit sore. Be warned that Revy tried to make something for you." Morgaine said with a chuckle.

Something about this was off, he thought…and then he noticed it. Revy was dressed up like a sitcom housewife, the frilly dress, the apron, and heels. The kind of outfit that she would not be caught dead in before. She even had red lipstick.

"Revy, might I ask why the dress? Is thi-"

"Don't fret too much about it…just let me enjoy this." Revy remarked.

"When you married me, you knew life was never going to be normal." Yuki said putting his long coat on the coat rack. "By the way, where's Cixi?"

"With a well-paid babysitter." Revy said putting a tin on the table and revealing….a slightly large chocolate cupcake with light frosting. "And here's to one year of being together. You've given me plenty, but I wanted you a piece of my heart."

"Aw, Rebecca. It's nice to know you've opened up so much." Yuki said before eating that cupcake. "And that cupcake…had a gooey center."

"I figured I'd make it clear I want in me." Revy said trailing her finger around his chest.

"Oh, well before I ask…how was work on your end?" Yuki asked.

"Same old…buying materials, selling weapons…Tenten really enjoys the work. It was sweet of you to let her move to your verse. But let's not talk about work…" Revy said before sitting on his lap. "Why don't we spoil each other, dear?"

Both were closing their eyes, leaning in to kiss just enjoying each other's presence. Yuki's hands slid low holding her waist as they were heatedly kissing each other. Morgaine felt better enough to slip out down by teleporting out of the house to her own apartment.

"Rebecca, you didn't have to spoil me so much." Yuki said in a husky voice.

"You do it to me every day…and I want to return the favor." Revy said as he grabbed her rear.

"Oh darling, that's going to be-"

They were interrupted by the front door opening.

[Music Ends]

"We're here to celebrat-" Blade said only to pause awkwardly to see the position his parents we're in. "Oh…sorry."

Revy sighed with her voice returning to normal.

"You came too early." Revy dryly as Blade snorted. "Oh, grow up, you little shit."

"What the hell are you even wearing?" Adrien said holding little Cixi.

"Something that if you want to keep your privileges and your privacy, you don't say a damn thing about." Revy said before leaving to change as Yuki's eyes were on her ass.

"Real smooth." Blade joked.

"And how many girlfriends have you went through?" Yuki snarked.

"And how many women are you-"

Revy walked out in casual clothes…a black tank top under with blue leggings. Her wedding ring was still on her middle finger, a ring of silver.

"Several. You know quite well if I have your father's attention consistently on me…I'd be practically chained to the bed. I'm only human." Revy said taking Cixi off Adrien's hands. "I see you missed me."

"Yes, I did, mommy." Cixi squeaked as she ruffled her hair.

"Well, I suppose I can save dessert for another time. After all it's the year since we've been a whole family." Yuki said warmly. "At least there's not some disaster going…on."

Revy blinked and then groaned.

"But we might not have dinner…I forgot to put it out of the freezer and in the oven. I was so focused on dessert that I forgot about the main course." Revy said as Yuki waved it off.

"I can order pizza." Yuki said coolly. "Besides, it's been a long day…and I think we all can take a load off."

Cixi let out a yawn, clearly tuckered out from a long day.

"Let me put her to bed." Revy said heading down to the bedroom as the boy sank down on the couch.

"Seeing that Cixi's going to bed…want to fight me in Smash?" Blade offered.

"So you can get whooped in it again?" Yuki joked getting his control out. "Are you going to cheap out with Kazuya?"

"You use Mii Fighters." Blade said flatly.

"Still salty about that mid-air counter?" Adrien asked as he turned on the Switch.

"A little." Blade said as he got his controller. "But he's not going to pull that stunt again."

[Cues: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas OST – Backing Beat 2 (slowed + reverbed)]

Revy wordlessly took a controller for herself and plopped herself right on Yuki's lap for a seat. He took her off him.

"Oh no you don't…the last time we played together…you were distracting me." Yuki teased.

"Can't blame your wife for trying. Serena on that pizza?" Revy asked as Adrien got up his controller.

"Yeah, it'll be delivered." Yuki said as they selected their characters before starting the match.

As they played, the camera panned over to the memorial table where there were a few new photos and objects. A photo of Revy having celebratory drinks with Team YUKI. That photo was next to a framed G.E.D certificate and an acceptance letter for USLA. There was another photo of Tenten and Revy opening up a gun shop. A signed copy of the One Piece manga was on the table next to a replica of Cheshire's mask and a fashion magazine with both Mileena and Karai on the cover. A few baby pictures of Cixi were there. And finally, there was a wedding photo of Yuki and Revy with was them with firearms shooting down targets alongside their sons and Yuki's teammates.

The crowd cheered as the stimulation ended as Yuki could not help but laugh at the wedding picture. Tenten seemed at ease with that ending given she was relieved to do she could still get out of her universe even if she did not win. Revy was quietly taking it all in. One would say that the Revy she saw there was…domesticated in a sense. She did not how to feel about that. On the one hand, her pride was bruised about that. On the other hand, the possible future was something she always wanted…a life out of Roanapour and the kick in the shorts to get her out of there. Her ego did like to see that she completed up her incomplete schooling…and even got into college. She supposed she was not surprised that the stimulation hinted at the secret habit she had kept secret from everyone.

The idea of having children was something she was still wrapping her head around…let alone having one of her own. Though given that habit she had…she supposed that her possible future self would be spoiling the absolute shit out of Cixi. Having a shit childhood would do that…

But the idea of leaving Roanapour whether she won or not was growing more and more appealing. It was not perfect, but the alternative looked bleaker.

"I wish we could have seen the wedding. It looked awesome." Boomstick said before sighing. "But now we have our Round 2. It's either coming to be April…or Tenten."

"Hey, I made it to the finals, didn't I?" Tenten retorted. "Besides, what other kunoichi could you name even got to take part?"

"Um…did you forgot about MIleena and Cheshire already? Both were high-scoring…and Mileena did tie with you in votes." Wiz reminded only for Tenten to brush it off.

"But they're not here. Tenten is." Yuki said speaking up. "Speaking of which, it'll be great to take you out again. You look like you're eager to get out of here."

"I've actually quite interested about learning about the firearms of your universe." Tenten remarked.

"Say no more, I know a shooting range that'll be perfect. It's in Old San Andreas…specifically Bone County." Yuki said as Serena activated the portal to the 'Dating Zone' for Boomstick. "But we can grab a meal and relax. Something tells me you got a lot on your mind."

Tenten took his head and walked through the portal with him.

(A/N: I decided to cut this one in half as it was getting too long, but I did show Revy's possible future. Seemingly domesticated, but she still has her claws and instincts. A Revy that let her 'pride' rest to open herself up. Also, I wanted to use this chapter to showcase a bit of Tenten's inner motives for fighting so hard to stay in the running. She knows she has no prospects back home, no career of note, and a pretty lonely existence. The last thing Tenten did in Naruto canon was get stomped right next to Choji, Kiba, Lee, and Konohamaru. Considering Tenten has less screentime then the swing Naruto sat on…)
