Hey all. It's me again! Happy Easter! Before we get into it, I wanna say thanks for the sentiments regarding my mom and my friend. I really appreciate it. And I also want to clear up something from the previous update. The ending with Minya captured by the Deadly Trio and MechaGodzilla was NOT intended to hint at pedophilia. I definitely see how that assumption could be made, so the fault is my own setup. But no. I feel very strongly about that subject and would never include it as a plot point, either comically or dramatically. SpaceGodzilla's wording was bad, but he wasn't hinting at that at all. So, yeah. That's not ever gonna be a thing here. And yeah. I'm glad people noticed that Ghidorah's death was done in a way to not do Mecha-King Ghidorah. As good as the concept is, it's been done to death, to the point it's just expected now, and I didn't want to be predictable. The movies did it, videogames have done it, Monster Island Buddies did it, Godzilla novels have done it, other fanfic authors have done it, there's even rumors of the Monsterverse planning it. I simply cannot do it in a unique way that hasn't been done already. So, killing the three-headed monster without severing the central head was essential. Does that mean there's no plans for Ghidorah in the future? Are we nearing the endgame? Is Minya ok? Are there other characters in play you've forgotten about? Let's take a look.

Chapter 20

The Kaiju Killers

Godzilla took a deep breath as he neared Anguirus' cave. He had already thanked Kong for his assistance, and had sent him on his way, and now he had one last piece of business to attend to, for Angy. He walked into the cave, and called out. "Here boy!" There was silence. Godzilla tried again. "Come on out! It's me! Goji!"

Suddenly, from the darkness, a small fat rodent-like creature lunged at Godzilla, bringing him hard to the ground, and immediately began to lick his face.

"Deutalios! Stop!" Godzilla tried to pull back, but the little rat monster was too excited to see him. It tickled, and Godzilla couldn't help but laugh. The little one eventually hopped off, and began excitedly searching around. Godzilla sighed. "Deutalios, I got bad news. Anguirus...Angy isn't coming back. Ever."

Deutalios' happy attituded completely reversed. He slumped down, and instantly began weeping. Godzilla sat beside him, and gently began to pet the little creature. "I know. I'm gonna miss him too. But you were his best friend in the world. And I've sworn that I'm gonna take care of you now, and look after you. Just like I tried to do for him."

"Very touching father," said a voice. "Though I must say, rather out of character for you."

Godzilla's eyes widened. He stood, Deutalios now on his shoulder, and looked in shock. "Junior!? You've come home!"

"Indeed," said Godzilla Jr, the first born son of Godzilla and Star. There was another creature beside Jr. It looked like another Godzilla, but had a frill around its neck.

"Who the crap is that?"

Junior smiled. "Meet my beloved, my other half, my beautiful wife, Jirass."

Godzilla frowned. "That's your wife?"

Junior frowned back. "Is that a problem?"

"Uh...no. No, not at all. Glad to have you in the...family."

"Charmed, I'm sure," said Jirass with a curtsy.

"And I should also point out, we are with child."

"What," gasped Godzilla. "You mean you two...er...I mean, you mean I'm gonna be a grandpa!?"

"Precisely father. You're officially an old man." Junior and Jirass both giggled at the jest. Godzilla just seemed irritated. "Anyhow," said Junior. "I suppose it best I explain why I'm here. I realize you're in a bit of a slump, and I hate to bother you when you're grieving, but I'm afraid time is of the essence."

"Indeed," said Jirass. "My beloved speaks the truth. We came just as soon as Star called for us."

"Star called you," asked Godzilla. "What for?"

"Mother was quite frantic, it appears Minya has been missing for several days now. As have you, I might add. I'd hoped we'd find the little imp with you, but no such luck."

"What!? How long have I been grieving!?" Godzilla punched the wall of the cave, causing a section to collapse. Godzilla breathed hard. "I've been so distraught. I've neglected my own family! And now Minya..." He turned, and grabbed his son's shoulders. "Please Junior. I just lost Anguirus. I can't lose him too! Help me find him!"

"I'm already on it father. Jirass is rather useful at finding things. She already has a lead on the culprit."

Jirass giggled. "Yes. And my instincts are almost never wrong."

"You have a lead," asked Godzilla. "Take me."

"Gladly father," said Junior.

"You're not going anywhere, Godzilla," said a voice. Godzilla, Junior, Jirass, and Deutalios all jumped, and stepped back upon seeing the two figures standing in the entryway.

"Oh dear," said Jirass. "This doesn't appear to be good at all."

"There there, my darling," said Junior. "We'll fight if we must."

Godzilla's eyes narrowed. "Kaiju killers. Ultras."

Sure enough, the famed Ultraman and UltraSeven stood before them, facing them down.

"Go out the back way," Godzilla whispered. "You two follow up on that lead."

"What about you," asked Junior.

"I'll be fine. With any luck, they don't want trouble. Ultras can occasionally be reasoned with."

"Just don't get yourself killed," said Junior. "Ultras are brutal."

"Indeed they are," agreed Jirass, rubbing her frill. With that, Junior and Jirass headed out the back exit.

Godzilla faced the two beings. Beings he feared, which was something unusual for him. Ultras were like horrific legends to Kaiju. Unstoppable gods of death. And Godzilla knew one day he'd face them. He sincerely hope today wasn't that day.

"So, what do you Kaiju killers want?"

In a distant galaxy, on Planet Dark, the Dark Four Heavenly Kings stood before the powerful Ultraman Belial, and around them, numerous other aliens were gathered.

Belial shrieked in anger. "So you mean to tell me that those idiot mercenaries aren't even halfway to Earth yet!?"

"No excellency," said Alien Shapley with a bow. "I'm afraid their vessel, though powerful is rather, well, slow."

Belial shook with rage, and swung the Dark Sword at Shapley. The alien recoiled, but luckily Mephilas grabbed Belial's arm. "Calm yourself. The emperor already warned you not to kill any more of the troops."

"Heh," said Belial. "Yeah, yeah. Well, if those mercs don't hurry it up, we'll have to resort to a new plan. Anyone else have a report?"

Alien Kyrieloid stepped forward. "Yes, I have. A massive battle took place on the planet called Earth."

"And this interests me, why," asked Belial.

"Sire, it wasn't just any battle. Godzilla killed King Ghidorah!"

A collective gasped filled the room. Even Belial seemed surprised. "King Ghidorah...dead?"

"So what," asked Yapool.

"Are you kidding," said Baltan. "He was one of the most powerful monsters ever. A truly great evil."

Nackle nodded. "Yes, the emperor himself tried for years to recruit him into his army. He hunted him from planet to planet. He was sealed away by the Ultras before he could ever find the beast."

"He wanted Ghidorah," asked Belial. "Let's give him his wish!"

"And just what does that mean," asked Mephilas.

"I'm getting in good with the emperor," said Belial. "He'll worship the ground I walk on! Guts!"

Alien Guts approached. "My lord."

"Go to Earth," ordered Belial. "Retrieve the brain of the central head of King Ghidorah."

"It will be as you command." With that, Guts walked away.

"Bado!"

Alien Bado approached Belial. "Your excellency?"

A large paper appeared in Belial's hand, and he gave it to Bado. "Go to the research lab, and follow these instructions well. Don't speak of their contents to anybody, but have my wishes completed by the time Guts returns. Is that understood?"

"Yeah, sure...guess so." Bado went walking toward the lab.

Belial watched him go, and shook his head. "That guy is beyond ugly." He turned back to the congregation. "Anything else?"

"Oooh," said Alien Dada, raising his hand. "Magma and I have something!"

"Dude, no," said Alien Magma, clearly embarrassed. "Not now."

"Oh come on, I can't hold it in anymore!"

"Spit it out," ordered Belial.

Dada blushed. "Well, I'm very happy to say that...well...just last night...Magma proposed to me!" The room exploded with cheers from the other aliens as they all congratulated the couple. All that is except for Belial, Yapool, Mephilas, and Nackle.

"Oh congrats," proclaimed Baltan. "Can I come to the shower? I got the cutest little gift in mind for you guys!"

"Of course," said Dada. "You're all invited, and..."

"SHUT UP," screamed Belial. He glared around the room. "Does anybody have anything to contribute that doesn't involve wedding plans!?"

"As a matter of fact, we do," said Mephilas, as he approached with Yapool, Baltan, and Nackle.

"Oh, so the Four Hounds have news, huh?"

Mephilas chuckled. "Four Hounds, huh? Haven't heard that in a while. Anyhow, we've been watching M78, as you ordered. The surviving Ultras arrived, and found your work. You weren't subtle. Your fingerprints were everywhere."

"Eh. So they know it's me. That was my intention."

"They've made their move," said Yapool. "Split into groups to try to locate you, and any information regarding possible help you had. Ace and Taro are heading toward the galaxy we currently reside in. They're bound to show up on Planet Dark at some point, and when they do..."

"We'll kill them both. They'll try to avenge mommy and daddy, but will die instead. Now, where are the others?"

Mephilas spoke next. "Jack and Leo are searching other areas of space. They're not a threat currently, but we have to hope they don't come across Guilala and his mercs. I don't trust that fool to keep his mouth shut should things go wrong."

"Agreed," said Belial. "Monitor their ship. If those two Ultras get anywhere near, blow the ship to bits. My contingency plan will makeup for the loss. Now, anything else?"

Baltan nodded. "I've been monitoring Ultraman and UltraSeven. They're currently on Earth, probably questioning Kaiju for any connections to you. I doubt it's anything to worry about, so long as they finish the investigation before the mercs get there."

"Yes," nodded Belial. "I hope Guts can get that brain without those blasted Ultras spotting him."

"And of course," said Nackle. "There's the situation with Yullian and Zearth, which is the most troubling of all. It appears Ultraman King granted them the ability to travel dimensions, since he's too busy with more pressing matters at the moment. They're hopping between dimensions, searching for Ultraman Zero."

Belial reached up to touch the scar on his face he received long ago from his first battle with Zero long ago. "They're bringing in the kid huh? Smart. So they most definitely think it's just me. Otherwise, King would get directly involved if he knew we were attempting to resurrect the great Alien Empera!"

"Then of course there's Zoffy," said Mephilas. "For the moment, he's searching M78 for further clues the others may have missed."

"And he'll likely find them," said Belial. "He didn't become the leader of the Ultra Brothers by being stupid. However, staying there alone was a big mistake."

"What will you do," asked Nackle.

"I'm going to M78. I'll kill Zoffy just because I can! Hah! Getting bored anyway." With that, he teleported away.

"Hmph," said Yapool, as he walked away to his private chamber, clearly uninterested in conversing with his fellow Heavenly Kings.

"So Mephilas," said Baltan. "What did he mean when he called us Four Hounds? You seemed to understand."

Mephilas glared. "The less you know about that, the better. You attend to your duties, and let us higher ups attend to ours." He walked away, leaving Baltan and Nackle.

"I don't trust them," said Nackle.

"Who?"

Nackle gave Baltan a look. "Any of them. Belial, Mephilas, Yapool. They're all working for their own agenda. Just because they're original invaders who actually fought the Ultras, and we're just descendants of our ancestors who fought them."

"Well, it's like grandfather Baltan always said," said Baltan. "If you come from nobility, you're treated as a noble. But if you come from space, you, have space in your home for...you have space, and...you...take that space and...and he...your space is..."

"The only space you have is in your head," said Nackle. "Look, those guys are up to something. I joined this group to avenge my dad, but this whole thing has gotten out of hand."

"What do you mean," asked Baltan.

"The genocide on M78. The mercs going after Godzilla's head. This whole thing with Empera. And now, Belial wants Ghidorah's brain? And to top it all off, what Mephilas just said to you about the Four Hounds."

"Yeah, and the fact that Belial didn't wanna celebrate Dada and Magma's engagement."

"Exactly my point," said Nackle. "Something is...wait, that's not one of my points."

"Rudest thing I ever saw, being against their happiness like that. It's disgraceful. They deserve to be happy like anyone else. Never did figure Belial would discriminate like that."

"Can you focus on what I'm trying to say, please? We've gotta get to the bottom of this."

"The planet," asked Baltan. "Oh that's easy, we can just walk down there, and then we..."

Nackle grabbed Baltan. "You're still close to Alien Metron, right?"

"No. He's off on his planet. At least a few hundred light years off. We couldn't be any further from him."

Nackle face palmed. "Just call him. Tell him to come here. We need his brain power to help us figure this out."
