Welcome back people to the final chapter of my second "Cooper's creed 2 Brotherhood" series and I hope you're ready because THIT…IS…IT, the FINAL chapter and the final showdown with the Klaww gang, but with the odds against the Cooper gang, how will they pull a rabbit out of the hat this time?

Chapter 9 Anatomy for disaster
(Sly's P.O.V)
"There we were, heading East across the Atlantic ocean, stowaways on a giant, air-born fortress, thought time was short, we made sure to study up on our unknowing host…Arpeggio, while attending a prestigious boarding school, the young Arpeggio excelled at all subjects showing that his mind was his most powerful trait, soaring through every class with flying colors his intellect already matching and even SURPASSING those of past genius's Bentley even complimented that he could do fifty things even HE couldn't do and compliments from his many teachers stated that an intellect like his comes around only ONCE in a generation, he was set for a positive and decorated future had mother nature not flipped this guy the bird, as Arpeggio grew in age he never managed to keep up with the other boys in his school physically who continued to outgrow him each year, sadly his wings, due to their small size, were completely useless for flight, having grown furious at his feeble body, he focused his powerful mind to search for a possibly solution, in the works of the Italian Renaissance masters, they're notes provided the springboard for this sinister, young genius and it wasn't long before the Klaww gang took him on a chief inventor not to mention their leader, his talents must have been at work in acquiring all the Clockwerk parts for his criminal schemes and now this mastermind, this MADMAN is in possession of ALL the Clockwerk parts, it's only a matter of time before he puts them back together and when that happens…well…I'M NOT GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN, BY THE BLOOD OF MY ANCESTORS ON BOTH SIDES OF MY FAMILY I WON'T LET THAT MONSTER BE REBORN…this was IT…this was our final shot at taking Clockwerk DOWN FOR GOOD…THIS…was the end"

There was no time to waste, Sly geared up before he exited the makeshift safehouse only to climb to the top of the highest tower he could find before he got a good look at the MASSIVE blimp Arpeggio created, it was probably one of the BIGGEST "hideouts" that Sly had ever seen in his life, built by modern day hot air balloons, propellers and other 15th or 16th century aircrafts pieces designed by the Italian Renaissance, needless to say the place was IMPRESSIVE
"WHOA…this is what the mad scientist calls a blimp more like a small Utopia, Arpeggio has WAY too much time on his hands…still a mobile base of operations and home DOES sound useful…someday I gotta GET one of these" Sly said to himself before he used his Eagle vision with Synu to get the layout of the blimp before he set out to find Arpeggio among the heavily guarded, air-born fortress and once there, Bentley contacted him
"My instruments have picked up large magnetic fields radiating from inside that blimp, if Arpeggio has started reassembling Clockwerk then that's where you'll find him" Bentley told Sly
"Sounds good, I'm on it" Sly replied
"Don't waste any time here, Sly sneak aboard and take some recon photo's so we can formulate a plan, we need to know how close Arpeggio is to reassembling Clockwerk and fast" Bentley told him before they hung up and Sly made his way to the blimp without falling to his death
(Inside the blimp)
Once Sly got in through a crawl space and was treated to a shocking sight, Clockwerk was reassembled and hanging from cables from the ceiling, he even fell to the ground in shock
"OH, FUCK ME RUNNING" Sly muttered in shock at the sight of the monster he supposedly killed two years ago, now rebuild but there were obvious…differences about him, as if he had been modified by the obvious weapons grafted onto the metal body of the robotic bird, Sly then contacted Bentley
"I, I had no idea that they could reassemble Clockwerk so fast" Bentley stated in shock
"Easy buddy, he might be in one piece but, he doesn't look…well, alive, how about those recon photos" Sly replied
"Right…your right, we need to be informed before we can make a plan of action, so take a photo of Clockwerk's head, a mech egg and one of those spinning magnetic inducers, they seem important to the procedure, but watch out for those guards, they're a mean bunch of birds and if you get caught, we won't get a second chance at approach here" Bentley told him
"Got it" Sly replied as he hung up and took the first photo which was of a bunch of mech eggs
"My scanners are picking up radioactivity from inside those mech eggs…I wouldn't get too close to em" Bentley called
"Me neither" Sly muttered before getting a picture of Clockwerk's head
"Clockwerk appears completely inanimate, we still might have a chance here" Bentley said
"That's what I like to hear" Sly muttered before taking a picture of a spinning inducer
"Those magnetic inducers seem to be holding the Clockwerk parts together" Bentley said
"Yeah" Sly muttered before Bentley picked up on something
"Sly, my instruments are picking up people near the front of the blimp…I think one of them is Arpeggio" Bentley called, Sly then moved to the front of the blimp and saw both Arpeggio and he wasn't alone
"Well, I'll be damned" Sly muttered at the sight of an old headache, Slate
"SLATE, he's here to…Slate must have been working for Arpeggio the WHOLE TIME" Bentley said before Sly got pictures, first of Slate
"I can't believe this Slate must have been working for Arpeggio the whole damn time" Bentley said
"Wow, I don't think I've ever heard you say that word" Sly said
"Well…it's been a rough ride to get here, I'm allowed to vent now and then, am I" Bentley asked
"You won't get any judgment from me buddy" Sly replied, then the picture of Arpeggio was taken
"That's the guy, Sly…the source of this whole Klaww gang nightmare and the source of ALL our problems" Bentley said
"And the guy probably won't stop here" Sly muttered before Bentley contacted him
"I don't need to study those photos to see the writing on the wall, clearly, Slate and Arpeggio are working together to bring Clockwerk back to life, and it looks like they're dangerously close to realizing their goal" Bentley said
"More like Slate was hired by Arpeggio in the FIRST place even before the Contessa asked him to hunt us down back in India, who KNOWS how far back their planning has gone" Sly said
"Quite possible" Bentley said
"Look buddy, I know this isn't your style, but if they're THIS close to their goal, then we probably won't have time to formulate a strategy, I need a quick plan of attack, something, ANYTHING to keep Clockwerk from getting reassembled, something RIGHT here, RIGHT now" Sly told Bentley, he thought for a second before answering
"Well…those spinning inducers seem to be holding Clockwerk together, if you were to reverse, they're polarity, it should pull Clockwerk apart, unfortunately, the terminal to control their rotation speed is locked down tight, pickpocket the four, patrolling guards and unlock the terminal to slow down the spinning inducers, then you'll need to jump onto them and manually reverse they're polarity" Bentley told him
"I'm on it" Sly replied as he hung up, he got at the keys, slowed down the spinning inducers and dropped Clockwerk's body and killed the guards with the shockwave of the impact, but it didn't have the effect that Sly prayed for, Slate and Arpeggio came out of the front of the blimp
"WHAT THE HELL" Slate said
"The magnetic inducers, someone has reversed them and…magnificent, the impact of the fall has seemed to lock the Clockwerk parts into place, EXCELLENT" Arpeggio stated as he and Slate got near where Sly was hiding and he came out of his spot
"SLY COOPER, should have figured your ass was here, this has your handy work written all over it" Slate stated
"Ah, Mister Cooper, no doubt you believed a reversal would pull the old robot apart, but quite the opposite has happened, eh, I am truly grateful, when fully powered up, I'll join myself to the mechanical marvel and be BORN ANEW" Arpeggio stated
"ALL OF THIS…because you can't fly…you are beyond pathetic Arpeggio" Sly told Arpeggio before turning to Slate
"And YOU…how could you get involved with ANYTHING having to do with Clockwerk, do you have ANY idea what that, that, that…MONSTER, that DEVIL has done to me, my MOTHER, MY FATHER, MY FATHER'S ANCESTORS THAT CAME BEFORE ME" Sly yelled
"Like I said before boy, this is what mercenaries do, we work for the highest bitter, nothing personal, just business, by the way what do you think of my modifications to the old bird" Slate asked
"Wait…you did that" Sly asked
"Yep, didn't think the old bird was tough enough, so Arpeggio gave me permission to give him a…MUCH needed update, recognize the weaponry" Slate asked
"Your glider" Sly said
"Bingo…everything that my old toy had, we put it on the old bird, it was surprisingly fast work thanks to Arpeggio's machine's we got it done in so little time, and I have to admit this is…my MASTERPIECE" Slate said
"As for my "pathetic" plans Mister Cooper, it's not the capability to fly that I seek" Arpeggio said
"Then what DO you seek" Sly asked
"What other upon this world are too weak to try and grasp…but I am not…immortality and power is what I seek, the other Klaww gang members were much too short-sighted, they were satisfied using the Clockwerk parts to drive their various trivial schemes, but not me…no I saw them for what they REALLY were, the key to life eternal and POWER" Arpeggio told Sly
"So, you hired Slate to play dog and fetch them for you" Sly asked
"It would have been my retirement but then you and your pathetic group of friends GOT in my way" Slate said, Sly was about to attack with his bow, he managed to knock an arrow back but Slate and Allen pulled out guns and pointed it at him, forcing him to stop
"Ah, ah, ah…your fast Sly…but not THAT fast, I don't know what your suit is made of, but these are armor-piercing rounds in these here guns, they can pierce through stone, iron and metal…lower that bow" Slate told him as Sly backed up a bit and relaxed on his drawn arrow
"Good boy" Slate said
"So, you all just waited while me and my team stole the rest of the parts from the other Klaww gang members, and all the while you directed suspicions towards Carmelita and Nick while at the same time, covering your tracks to the fact that you two were behind it all" Sly sked Slate and Arpeggio
"You make it sound SOOO easy, boy, it was easy for me to get that pea-brained Barkly to dance to my tune, I planned for him to see Carm and my weak-willed son of mine back in Prague and he fell for it hook, line and SUCKER, with them on the run and you lot too busy looking for the parts, it was only a matter of time before things fell into they're proper place" Slate told him
"Ah, but acquiring all the parts was just the first part of the equation, think Cooper…what kept Clockwerk alive for THOUSANDS of years" Arpeggio asked
"He was fueled by the hatred my father's family line, told me so himself when I first meet him in Russia" Sly answered
"Splendid, that's right, hatred, putting his gears and wires back together was child's play, compared with what accumulated that much hatred" Arpeggio replied
"You can't make people hate" Sly replied
"Oh, my poor, naïve boy…my meticulous mind has FOUND a way, as your friend, Murray will attest, spice consumption makes you both angry AND susceptible to hypnosis, the Contessa, hypnotist extraordinaire, devised a way to command people through the use of flashing lights, I've created this blimp to be a massive transmitter of those precise, light frequencies, the only problem I faced was finding a suitable source of light waves" Arpeggio told him, then, it clicked for Sly
"The Northern lights, you've been collective Northern light energies, so you could hypnotize everyone beneath the blimp" Sly stated
"Ahh, hypnotize those who'd eaten food covered in illegal spice, thank goodness for Dimitri before he untimely capture, through his nightclub, he got the whole city to consume the spice" Arpeggio stated
"You're going to Paris to unleash a hypnotic light show of hate…that's outlandishly cruel" Sly told him
"Cruel, perhaps, but necessary to give Clockwerk his spark of immortality, oh, well, my new body awaits me, Slate do be a good sport and keep him covered, ta-ta" Arpeggio said as he went to the Clockwerk frame looking to bond with it but then Slate moved faster than eyesight and sliced Arpeggio's mobile birdcage in half with a sword he pulled out
"WHAT THE HELL" Sly shouted at the sudden movement
"Slate…WH-WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS" Arpeggio asked
"Why, my plans of course" Slate answered
"What" Arpeggio muttered
"You thought I was here just because of money, well…that's the OTHER reason why I took up Contessa's offer" Slate said
"What was the other reason" Sly asked
"Arpeggio here isn't the ONLY one who knows done his research, for years I heard rumors about the mysterious Fiendish five leader, Clockwerk and I spent the last two years researching him and his history with the Cooper gang…I actually intended to steal his parts myself but then the Klaww gang took em before I could get close to em" Slate said
"So, you were after the parts for yourself all ALONG" Arpeggio asked
"For a genius your slow to catch on featherbrain" Slate said
"But why, what possible use a mercenary could have for Clockwerk's body" Sly asked
"From all the trouble both yours and Arpeggio's gang went through to get your hands on these parts, I figured I take it for myself, I mean being rich and feared is all well and good…but I'll eventually die…that is unless I was immortal myself, you only want the body because you can't fly…why waste such a gift on the weak when someone MORE deserving could put it to MUCH better usage" Slate explained
"You…TRAITOR" Arpeggio growled
"On the contrary, I cannot betray those that I never cared about" Slate said before he kicked Arpeggio's head knocking him out and then he turned back to Sly
"As for YOU Sly…I think it's time to deal with you, being the guy who defeated Clockwerk two years ago, I can't afford to let you of all people become a future thorn in my side" Slate said as he withdrew his gun and sword and pulled out a collapsible bow staff, Sly then pulled out his Rapier
"You know something…I AGREE with you, you've been a pain in the ass since you showed up, time to take you off the table" Sly said
"Hmm, finally something we both agree on" Slate replied before the two then collided with each other as Sly and Slate clashed with each other Slate was NO pushover he was strong, fast, tough and precise to a fault
"Come on son, SHOW ME WHAT YOU'VE GOT" Slate shouted as he went for an overhead slam but Sly kicked over a table of spices that blinding Slate before Sly rushed over and grabbed Slate's attacking arm, twisted it before forcing him onto his left knee and Sly then used his right knee to hit Slate in the head before moving back a bit
"You were saying" Sly asked, Slate then got up and he twisted the center of the staff and the two ends suddenly ignited with electricity
"Beginners luck" Slate said before he charged at Sly who dodged and blocked the taser staff, blocking with one of his extending spears before Slate started swinging at incredible speeds but Sly kept dodging
"How long can you keep dodging me for" Slate asked before Sly saw his chance and he gripped Slate's attacking him in the crook of his right arm and put his back to Slate's front before hitting Slate's face with the back of his head making him let go of the shock staff Sly then shocked Slate with it before he did a drop kick to get some distance and Sly ejected back to his feet and tossed the taser staff away
"As long as I NEED TO" Sly said before Slate shook out his assault and pulled out the sword he used earlier
"You're starting to piss me off kid" Slate said before he attacked and Sly blocked with his sword while Sly deployed his hidden dagger
"Oh that's too bad I was hoping to go for shakes after this whole thing was over" Sly said before they collided over and over again, Slate showing his incredible swordsmanship with his blade, using it with acrobatic tactics and flips to keep Sly on guard before he managed to perform a backflip kick to Slate's head, knocking his protective helmet off before he tried to attack Sly again, only for Sly to grab his attacking hand, gripping Slate's sword with both hands then Spartan kicking Slate away from him and forcing him to let go of his sword to which Sly threw at him and Slate barely managed to dodge it, leaving a cut on his left cheek
"GAAH" Slate grunted before looking at Sly
"Not bad for a boy, HUH" Sly asked
"WHY YOU" Slate growled as he drew his gun and started shooting but Sly moved fast to dodged the shots before taking cover behind a turned over table
"Let me tell you something BOY, when someone comes in-between me and what I WANT, then people are gonna lose their heads" Slate said before he started shooting again when Sly slightly stuck his head out, he then loaded a firecracker dart in his dart launcher, he then shot a nearby explosive barrel and exploded, getting Slate's attention long enough for Sly to quickly take the top of the gun off and threw it at Slate's forehead staggering him before Sly snaked around Slate, gripping him around the waists and lifting him up before slamming him on the ground with a Supplex, Sly then got back up to his feet quickly but so did Slate, the two then locked hands with each other
"Your good kid, I'll give you that" Slate told Sly
"I'm not just good Slate" Sly said before he spat in Slate's eye, blinding him before Sly laid down several hits to Slate's face, chest, stomach and his groin before he finished Slate with a roundhouse kick to his face, forcing him into the air and he spun in mid-air
"I'm BETTER" Sly told Slate who was on the ground
"Not in…my BOOKS" Slate yelled before he dropped a flash bang grenade on the ground blinding Sly
"GAAH" Sly yelled before Slate stabbed Sly through the left lower rib, it didn't pierce anything vital, but it hurt like hell
"AAAAAAAAAAH" Sly yelled before Slate kicked Sly away, he slid on the ground before he nearly fell off the platform, but he grabbed onto the edge
"In my books, I'm your better BOY" Slate told him as he limped over to the Clockwerk body
"You're without honor" Sly said as he fought to get back to the top level
"Please, who needs honor when you could be rich or immortal…and now I'll be BOTH, but I'll tell you what, since you did me a favor and helped make ALL OF THIS POSIBLE, Sly, I'll return it…by killing EVERYONE YOU HOLD DEAR…starting with that delicious-looking tiger of yours, NEYLA" Slate replied
"I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU TOUCH HER" Sly yelled in rage, using the adrenaline of his anger, Sly then pulled the sword out of his body
"AAAAAAAAAAH" Sly shouted in pain after pulling Slate's sword out of his wound
"Hmm…I'd like to see you try, when I have Clockwerk's might as my own, I'll make sure to savor every moment of making that BITCH of yours SCREAM" Slate replied as he stepped inside of Clockwerk's body, merging with it
"NOW TO TAKE THIS BABY OUT FOR A SPIN" Slate yelled before he straight up bulldozed his way out of the front of the blimp, Sly then got up and walked over to Arpeggio and took off his cowl
"YOU…you have NO IDEA…what you've unleashed" Sly told Arpeggio
"This…was NOT my plan" Arpeggio said before Sly unsheathed his Hidden blade before slowly inserted his hidden blade into one of Arpeggio's vital organs
"No SHIT Sherlock" Sly muttered in anger
(Scene slows down)
"No…NO, I was meant to be…IMMORTAL" Arpeggio stated as he felt himself dying
"You played with DANGEROUS forces Arpeggio, there are things and forces in this world that man was NEVER meant to tamper with" Sly said
"You ruined EVERYTHING COOPER" Arpeggio grunted
"This plan of yours came back and bit you in the tailfeathers and I thought your file said YOU were the smart one…if that's so, then how come you didn't see the potential outcome that someone would betray you" Sly asked
"I planned for this for the last DECADE and you shattered it like a baseball crashing through a GLASS WINDOW" Arpeggio stated
"Clockwerk should STAYED GONE…now because of YOU, that MONSTER is out there" Sly told him
"You…you STILL have…a chance to stop him" Arpeggio said
"Tell me how" Sly said
"Before me and the Klaww gang went to steal the parts…I made modifications to many of my blimp's engines, since the Clockwerk frame doesn't have the spark of immortality yet…Slate will need to stay NEAR the blimp in order to draw power from them to keep his strength up…if you take them out BEFORE we reach Paris" Arpeggio was about to say
"He'll be weak enough for us to attack" Sly said, getting what the bird was telling him
"Correct" Arpeggio said before coughing up blood
"Why tell me this" Sly asked
"My boy…while I may be a criminal…I treat my equals with RESPECT…had I meet you years ago…thing might have been different, I can see that you are loyal to your gang and your family…that is a most…admirable…quality…one that I…RESPECT" Arpeggio said before he died, Sly then closed his eyes
"May you find redemption…and your wings in the afterlife, Arpeggio…Requiescet in pace" Sly said before coating an eagle feather in Arpeggio's blood
(Scene speeds back up)
Sly then took out the arrow he was gonna shot Arpeggio with and there was a device at the end of it, he then pressed a button on it
"So, you all just waited while me and my team stole the rest of the parts from the other Klaww gang members, and all the while you directed suspicions towards Carmelita and Nick while at the same time covering your tracks to the fact that you two were behind it all" Sly's voice said from a recording on the device
"You make it sound SOOO easy, boy, it was easy for me to get that pea-brained Barkly to dance to my tune, I planned for him to see Carm and my weak-willed son back in Prague and he fell for it hook, line and sucker, with them on the run and you lot too busy looking for the parts, it was only a matter of time before things fell into place" Slate's voice spoke from the recording device
"Well…this should solve Carmelita and Nick's problem…now I just gotta deal with THIS ONE…this is gonna be one HELL of a night" Sly muttered before he then left the scene as well, after getting back to the safehouse after Bentley set things up he started the slide show

"As well all know…things look really grim, Slate has joined with the Clockwerk body and created something new, something potentially even more dangerous than the original Clockwerk was…Slate is out and free to terrorize the world, this blimp is still on its way to Paris, I can only imagine the late Arpeggio's auto-pilot will initiate the hate-hypnotic light show once it's over Paris, if that happens, there will be no stopping Slate, he'll be blessed with Clockwerk's immortal becoming INVINCIBLE…but, we still have a chance, as Arpeggio told Sly, Slate in his new form has to constantly absorb a LOT of power from this blimps engines in order for him to maintain his strength, if we destroy his power sources around the blimp, it should be enough to put him into a weakened state in which we can attack him directly, to get at these power sources, it means that ALL of us will have to work together in perfect harmony in order to pull this off…we've all faced some tough jobs and challenges in the past…but, they were just the warm-up compared to what we'll be going through tonight"

After the slide show and after getting himself stitched up Sly was sent out for his first assignment, Bentley then called him
"This engine room is locked down tight, since we can't get in, I figure we'll have to destroy it from the outside" Bentley started
"I hope your carrying some big explosives buddy, cause that engine isn't small" Sly stated
"Are you sure you're up for this Sly what with being hurt and all, you should be resting" Bentley asked
"I'm fine, I'll have plenty of rest when this is over" Sly answered
"Well…alright, as you put it the engine room is large but we're in luck, I found out that Arpeggio's men keep a considerable amount of firepower onboard, just in-case a fight comes around" Bentley stated
"How much firepower we talkin about here" Sly asked him
"Enough to take on several, small countries, including TNT barrels" Bentley answered
"Sounds like a plan, I'll just walk a barrel up there" Sly stated
"Unfortunately, my calculations say's that the TNT barrels won't be powerful enough to get the job done" Bentley said
"Have you ever noticed that you're always looking for the negative side of things" Sly asked
"Hold on I was getting to the good news, fortunately for us, Arpeggio's men also happen to have several, magnetic chargers around the blimp to boost the power of the TNT's blast force when they need extra kick" Bentley explained
"So, I can use them to boost the power of the TNT blast" Sly asked
"Right, all you need to do is walk the barrel close to one and it will automatically stick to your barrel" Bentley answered
"How many charges do we need" Sly asked
"About three will suffice" Bentley answered
"Solid work, Bentley, let's blow stuff up" Sly said before hanging up, Sly then jumped into the barrel and was very careful to avoid the guards, eventually he collected the necessary charge to destroy the engine, with three chargers attached to his barrel and the way cleared, the engine was no more
"One down, three to go" Sly said before he returned to the safehouse, Jasmine was sent out to help Bentley with the next assignment, Bentley then called her
"If we're gonna disable that engine, you and I are gonna have to work together, Jasmine" Bentley told her
"Just tell me how I might be of service, and it'll be done" Jasmine answered
"Pickpocket the guard's keys and unlock the way inside the engine, from there, I'll take the rest of the job" Bentley answered
"Go ahead and take your position near the engine, it won't take long to get the keys" Jasmine told him
"Roger" Bentley replied as they hung up, like Jasmine said, she relinquished the guards of their keys and unlocked the way into the engine, from there, Bentley took over
"Okay big-brain your turn" Jasmine told Bentley
"I'm going in" Bentley said before he entered the engine
(In engine 1)
Bentley got through the first corridor of the engine room and got to the upper level before he had to bomb some of the power nodes to get to the engine's control room however there were mechanized guards waiting, so Bentley had to take care of them before going to town on the nodes with his bombs, once he bombed all of then the mechanized guards stopped coming into the room, Bentley then threw the engine switch, powering down the whole thing
"Alright, two out of three, we're doing great" Bentley said
(Outside)
Bentley got outside and moved on, once at the location wave point, Bentley then contacted Murray and Neyla
"That's one of the engines that needs to be destroyed, I won't lie to either of you, this is gonna be a dangerous job and will require all three of us to complete" Bentley said
"Anything to help my love put this Clockwerk nightmare behind him" Neyla said
"Yeah, what she said" Murray added
"First, I'll need to hack the stations controlling access to the engine room, after I finish with the hacking, you two will need to head inside, you two will have to finish the job" Bentley explained
"We'll be ready to go when you give the word" Neyla replied before they hung up, Bentley had to hack into three terminals, but they were HEAVILY protected by Arpeggio's anti-hacking firewalls and virtual security, after working his magic on all three computers, the way into the engine room opened and Murray and Neyla was up
"Make way for THE MURRAY" Bentley said
"And his partner in destruction, QUEEN TIGRESS" Murray said
"Queen tigress" Neyla asked
"What, you don't like it" Murray asked
"You know…I LIKE IT" Neyla said before the two went into the engine to take care of business
(Inside engine 2)
Once the two were inside Bentley called through the earpieces and told Murray that he needed to lift the pillars nearby up through the ceiling to the top level to get access to the upper level, which is what he did however guards came in and tried to stop him but they were no match for Neyla who protected her childhood friend from them, once all the pillars were up, Murray got to the top level and Thunder flopped on the pillars to destroy them, mechanized guards tried to stop him but like the other guards, Neyla took care of them, once that was done, Murray flipped the power switch and turned the engine off
"And yet another foe falls before the dynamic trio of Murray, Bentley and Neyla" Neyla said
"YEAH" Murray yelled before they left the engine
(Outside)
Once outside, Neyla and Bentley went back to the safehouse as for Murray, he went for the wave point of the final engine where he meet Jasmine, Aria then contacted them
"Jasmine, Murray, to get in the final engine, you two and Sly will have to work together" Aria told the two
"You know were happy to help" Jasmine replied
"RIGHT ON" Murray added
"The door to the finale engine room is locked down by wall-mounted power stations location throughout the blimp, Murray, we're gonna need you to destroy all five of them however" Aria was about to say
"Let me guess when I start, the guards are SURE to come running" Murray asked
"You expect anything else to happen" Aria asked
"Don't worry sister, I've got his back" Jasmine said
"Good, after you get that done, Sly will take over from there, he's already at the engine just waiting for your call…and be careful" Aria said
"Aren't we always" Murray asked but before Aria could answer, Murray realized what he asked
"On second thought, don't answer that" Murray said
"Well after you destroy all of them, Murray your gonna have to pry the door to the engine room open by hand" Aria explained
"No problem" Murray replied before they hung up, Murray got to work on the power boxes, which sounded off alarms, but despite the guards which Jasmine took care of, the two were able to get their part of the job done, once all five were destroyed, the two made their way to the last engine room and Murray pried open the door by hand just as Sly came up
"TAG IN BUDDY" Murray said
"Give em hell Sly" Jasmine added as Sly went in
(In engine 3)
Once Sly was inside, he had to get past the laser grid with his natural stealth and agility, but when he got up on the second level, he had to use the ninja spire landing on rotating saw blades to get across the room, he made it there and threw the engine switch
"And that's the LAST engine" Sly said before he exited the area and returned to the safehouse to which Bentley formulated a plan and gave em a slide show

"Guys, I've got some good news, I've been contacted by Carmelita and Nick over the short way radio, they are both well aware of our current calamity with Slate and with some negotiations done between the two and Mario, the two have agreed to join forces with us to help take the robotic terror down, the only catch is, they can't pinpoint our location on their radar, to help them locate us, we'll need to boost our tracker signature with four, local, radio towers, once they're here, they'll take one of us onboard and act as a tail-gunner on their helicopter and engage in a duel against Slate himself…this is it guys, we don't have time for another plan, we have little less than half an hour before we're directly over Paris and if that hate-hypnosis light show goes off…well…you all know the story"

Sly was sent out with a strange backpack on his back and went to his wave point location, where Bentley called him
"Alright Sly, we need to send Carmelita and Nick a radio pulse, so they can home in on the blimp, to do that, I'll need you to get on top of four, VERY tall towers, they're too big to climb and too tall to jump up normally" Bentley told him
"What's all this got to do with this thing you got me wearing" Sly asked him
"It's an experimental, mega jump pack, it will give your jumps an incredible boost in height, this will make it easier to get to the top of each tower, but be careful with it" Bentley answered
"Alright, sounds like fun" Sly replied before he hung up and got to work, using the mega jump pack, he got to the top of all four towers, one by one and activated them, once they were all done, Bentley called
"Nice job, Sly, my instruments are picking up Carmelita and Nick's chopper as we speak" Bentley called, however, the mega jump pack was destroyed, but it was okay, Sly then headed for his next wave point, where Carmelita and Nick in their chopper hovered in front of him
"Fancy meeting again, Sly" Nick said
"What's up" Sly greeted the cop
"Look Sly, let's skip the pleasantries and get down to business, we need a good shot on the tail gun, so hop in, we've got a metal man to take down" Carmelita said, Sly shrugged his shoulders before jumping into the chopper and taking hold of the tail gun
"Let's end this" Sly told the two cops as they took off into battle against Slate
"Slate…you may have your friends at your side but you will still FAIL but since your all here, I can KILL ALL OF YOU AT ONCE" Slate yelled, the fighting started with Slate using rockets and energy rings to attack and even his robotic eye blasts, however he came equipped with new weapons deployable, robotic attack drones and a powerful, chest laser beam but Sly was an excellent shot and they powered through his vicious attacks, after what felt like a hard and dragged out fight, the robotic bird crashed into the blimps main propellers
"YYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOO" Nick yelled
"You should have been a cop, that was some dame fine shooting" Carmelita agreed but Slate wasn't done yet
"No, NO…I WON'T LET THIS HAPPEN" Slate yelled before trying something, Bentley then called over the earpieces
"Uh, Sly, we've got a bit of a problem here, Slate looks really angry, and I think he's gonna take it out on US" Bentley said as Slate flew over to the safehouse
"INCOMING" Jasmine yelled
"HANG ON TO SOMETHING" Mario yelled as the whole team braced themselves as Clockwerk took the whole safehouse in his massive talons and due to his crash, the blimp exploded
"SLY, HELP" Neyla yelled
"CARMELITA, GET ME TO SLATE" Sly yelled as Carmelita got him above Slate
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING" Nick yelled before Sly did a swan dive out of the chopper
"ARE YOU CRAZY" Carmelita yelled as Sly paragliding over to the Clockwerk frame and landed on his left wing
"You are completely delusional Cooper, to think that you could defeat me NOW but if you still wish to travel down this doom path…who am I to deny you the death you desire" Slate said
"You might have a new body Slate, but you're still the same, backstabbing coward that we've beaten time and time again…this isn't gonna be any DIFFERENT" Sly said
"Be brave while you can Cooper, but ultimately…YOU WILL ALL DIE BY MY HANDS, I might not have the robots immortality but I can still feel some force, some POWER growing within me" Slate replied before he deployed own-like battle drones to take care of Sly
"KILL HIM" Slate ordered his flying drones as Sly then got to work on defeating Slate, using his bow and arrows he took care of the drones one by one and despite Slate trying to shake Sly off his body either by crazy flying maneuvers or trying to blast him off with various weapons that Slate attached into Clockwerk's body to try and shoot Sly into pieces but after the raccoon knocked a LOT sense into the robotic monster, it was done
"NOOOOOOOOO" Slate shouted before he suddenly made a nosedive into Paris
(With Nick and Carmelita)
"SLY DID IT" Nick shouted
"SHIT, it's spiralling out of control" Carmelita said
(Inside the Cooper safehouse)
As Slate made his death dive to the surface the gang in the battery started floating in the air
"WHOA, going weightless...WEIGHTLESS" Murray said
"I think I'm gonna be SICK" Jasmine said, trying to hold back from throwing up
"Wh-WHAT HAPPENING" Aria asked
"SLATES'S IN A DEATH DIVE HOLD ONTO SOMETHING" Mario shouted
"I AM, MY SHELL" Bentley replied before he pulled his head, both legs and arms into his shell, preparing for the crash, Sly and the rest of his crew held on for dear life before
"BRACE FOR IMPACT" Neyla shouted before they crashed but, it was a surprising miracle that the whole crew survived the plummet to the surface
"Is everyone okay" Mario asked
"Y-yeah, OOOH...but I think I landed on my head" Murray said
"Forget your head, someone landed on my TAIL" Jasmine said
"Sorry about that" Aria said, remember landing on Jasmine's tail before the gang looked at the crashed body of Clockwerk
"Holy hell" Neyla said
"We…we DID IT" Sly said
"YEAH" Aria yelled
"Hell YES" Jasmine said
"RIGHT ON" Murray shouted
"It's really over" Neyla asked
"OH…thank the ancestors" Mario said
"This is an emotional moment" Bentley added, but it still wasn't over, Slate was still kicking
"DIE YOU PATHETIC INSECTS, DIE, I'LL KILL YOU ALL" Slate shouted
"Get back, that things still kicking" Sly told them as they all back up to a safe distance
"I can't believe that thing survived the crash" Aria said
"Seriously…WHAT KILLS THIS THING" Jasmine yelled
"There has to be a way to shut it down" Neyla said
"Any ideas how to turn that thing off for good Bentley" Mario asked
"Well…I've been running through the schematics of Clockwerk's inners, and it mentioned something about a hate chip…it sounded like the source of the robotic bodies power" Bentley answered
"If we remove it, do you think it might stop for good" Neyla asked
"It's possible" Bentley answered
"Then let's do a little, open head surgery, I'll pry open that beak, then Bentley can go to town with his bombs" Murray stated, despite a laser grid that Slate put up to kill them, Murray got to the mechanical monster's mouth and pried it open to show another face of Slate, being displayed like a hologram
"I hate you, Cooper gang, I will find you all one by one in your sleep and RIPE YOU APART PIECE BY PIECE, none of you will EVER know a moment of peace for the rest of your short, miserable lives, Slate will know revenge, I am the alpha and the omega, SLATE IS ETERNAL" Slate monologed
"Man, he's really losing it" Jasmine said
"As if he wasn't already crazed" Neyla said before Bentley moved in and bombed the sides of the robotic monsters head
"I still have my hate chip…you will not defeat me…NEVER" Slate said before his hologram face vanished, Bentley then removed the hate chip
"I got the chip, let's get out of here" Bentley told the others but before they could go, the whole body of the monster came crashing down hard on Bentley
"GAAAAAAAAAAH" Bentley yelled in pain as he felt all manner of feeling leave his left arm as the huge robotic body crushing it
"BENTLEY" Aria yelled
"OH NO" Jasmine yelled
"HOLD ON, BUDDY" Sly shouted as the whole group all chipped in to get the heavy robot body off their resident genius
"ON THREE, ONE-TWO-THREE, PUUUUUUULL" Sly shouted as the whole gang pulled with all their might to get the robot off Bentley
"PUT YOUR BACK'S INTO IT" Mario grunted as he put his back into lifting the robotic body off Bentley's body
"COME ON YOU PIECE OF JUNK…MOVE" Neyla grunted before they lifted the robot body, his legs completely crushed
"Oh GOD" Mario muttered
"Someone…pick me up, I…I can't WALK" Bentley said before Murray picked him up
"Don't worry little buddy, I got ya" Murray said
"CLOCKWER'S GONNA BLOW, MOVE BACK" Neyla shouted
"GO, GO, GO, GET CLEAR" Sly shouted as the group got the hell out of dodge before the Clockwerk body went up in a FIERY explosion
(Sly's P.O.V)
"And, there we were…at the end of the road, the Klaww gang had been defeated and the Clockwerk parts laid scattered around in heaps, yet, despite the explosion, they remained COMPLETELY intact, not even so much as a SINGLE, LITTLE scratch on them…it was as if nothing could EVER hurt them, Carmelita and Nick cursed themselves for showing up too late to get a few shots in themselves so they took it out on what was close at hand…the hate chip, and just like that…it was over, without that core piece, that essential center of Clockwerk, there was nothing left of him, no sooner after destroying the chip the parts rapidly aged before our eyes, as if time had finally caught up with the ancient machine, how ironic that Carmelita and Nick, police officer's would be the ones to lift the curse from the Cooper clan…the nightmare of Clockwerk would never again rise to threaten me or my future children…but true to Carmelita's nature, she told us that we were all under arrest, but one look at my gang told me that we were in no shape for a fast get away, so I offered to go willingly in exchange for letting my family walk, they first wanted to fight back, but Mario told them that it was my choice, Neyla on the other hand…she wouldn't leave my side, not again…the guys had taken some bruises through all of this but, I was stunned, shocked really, to see them leave their gear behind as they walked away, they're wounds were deeper than I could POSSIBLY imagine, those guys were hurting in ways that I couldn't even think of, Carmelita and Nick's police chief soon arrived and not only with me in custody but with the recording of Slate's confession of him setting them up, they're names were cleared and both got well-deserved promotions, they deserve it after all the hell they were put through, the ride back to H.Q started with us seating in silence, I didn't know what to say but then Carmelita spoke and to my surprise, she thanked me for proving her and Nick innocent of their false charges, like I kept telling her, I'm not her enemy, what was even more stunning is that she said that if things were different, we could have been partners or maybe I could have possibly been the BEST cop Interpol had ever had, HA…it was enough to make me smile, Carmelita even showed me the bottle of wine she had been saving for the special occasion of my arrest something she had been saving since she started chasing after me I was flattered, but it wasn't long before we realized that our short flight across town had already taken TWO hours, a fact me and Neyla kind of clued into after seeing the Eiffel tower float by seventeen times, they went forward to ask the pilot what was up and it looked like Mario and the others left a little going away present before taking off, me and Neyla made our escape and floating away on the night breeze me and her could faintly hear Carmelita's voice"
"I'LL FIND YOU COOPER"
(End of P.O.V)
"Relax Carmelita…we'll get em eventually" Nick told Carmelita who at first was angry but then calmed down and could not help but chuckle
"He's one slippery rodent, that's for sure…I can't say he isn't a worthy opponent" Carmelita said
"Well, respect for him or not, we still got a duty to uphold, the next time we meet" Nick was about to say
"He's MINE" Carmelita said
"You mean OURS" Nick said
"Right…ours…thanks for sticking with me, Nick" Carmelita said
"Though I'm sure a tough lady like yourself could have handled this on her own…I won't abandon my partner" Nick said as he slipped his hand into her's
"Never" Nick said with a wink, Carmelita felt her cheeks heat up as she smiled
*Between me and Nick…Cooper WON'T stand a chance* Carmelita couldn't help but think
(With Sly and Neyla)
Sly and Neyla landed on top of a building
"I can't believe it…we're finally free of Clockwerk" Neyla said
"I can hardly believe it either" Sly said with a sad voice
"Love, what's wrong" Neyla asked
"I'm glad that Clockwerk is gone for good but, at the price of both my team and Bentley's legs…it should have been me" Sly said
"Don't you DARE say that" Neyla told him as she took hold of her lover's face
"We've ALL made sacrifices my love, we risked everything to make sure he NEVER threatens either you or future Cooper's EVER again, I gave up my career as a cop, Aria gave up her civilian life, Bentley was willing to risk his LIFE making sure we won…but don't you DARE say that you wish it was you Sly, we all made those choices ourselves, just like you chose to give yourself up Carmelita and Nick to let the others walk…we all make choices my love and I wouldn't choose any other path than the one I'm on right now" Neyla said before she kissed her lover with all her might as the two embraced, after a few minutes they separated, suddenly the cry of an eagle was heard as Synu was seen flying to Sly who then perched on his left shoulder
"Synu, oh thank the ancestors you're okay" Sly said as his eagle friend nuzzled her head against Sly's head, glade to see him to, Sly paused
"What is it Sly" Neyla asked
"I think…I think I need a break from the gang for a while…give everyone time heal…know of any good places to lay low for a long while" Sly asked
"I think I have just the place" Neyla said
(Five days later, India hotel)
Neyla suggested that the two head to India where they checked into a fancy hotel under fake identities, just to get away from everything, it was a peaceful couple of days, no danger, no Clockwerk, just him and his beloved, they went to dinner, danced and were now eating takeout food while watching the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean's curse of the black pearl" the lovers were laying on the King-sized bed with Sly in his underwear and Neyla in a pair of black panties and bra, Sly was stroking Neyla's hair gently as she cuddles into his left side
"This was always my favorite movie as a little girl" Neyla said
"Yeah, you wore out the DVD player back at the Homestead, you watched it so many times" Sly said
"You mean WE watched it so many times mister I wanna be Jack Sparrow when I grow up" Neyla replied, Sly chuckled
"Okay, first off Sparrow is a funny as hell guy and second…if I did dress up as him no lady would be able to resist my charms" Sly said before he kissed Neyla's forehead
"Are you saying your tired of me" Neyla asked
"Never" Sly answered
"You relaxed love" Neyla asked
"Yes, I am…I'm just…worried about Bentley, I mean what he won't be able to use his legs ever again" Sly said
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, love" Neyla replied
"Then there's that look I saw in Murray's eyes I saw" Sly said
"What look" Neyla asked
"The look of a man who blames himself for what happened…I've seen those eyes before" Sly answered
"From who" Neyla asked
"FROM ME…after I lost my mom and dad…I blamed myself for not being strong enough to save them, I blamed myself for a long time before I eventually forgave myself I'm worried that Murray might be going through the same thing" Sly said
"Then this time off will help him get his mind off things" Neyla answered
"Well, what about Jasmine and Aria, they aren't better off what with them being related to TWO members of the Klaww gang" Sly said
"Well, let's just hope they have good lawyers that can help them" Neyla said
"And Mario…oh GOD, Mario, he'll be worried SICK about me" Sly said
"He's the toughest, old man I've ever known Sly, I think he can take you being out of commission for a while…besides, I think even assassins need time off" Neyla said, Sly thought about it and smirked
"I guess your right, even we deserve a break after the hell we went through just to get out hands on those Clockwerk parts" Sly said
"Now your making sense love, now just relax, my FAVORITE part is coming up" Neyla said
"You will always remember this as the day you almost caught…Captain Jack SPARROW" Sly and Neyla said as Jack Sparrow said his famous line before escaping from the soldiers making both Sly and Neyla laugh, this was one of the very FEW and rare moments than the two has time to just relax and be with each other without Bentley, Murray or Mario around, there they could cuddle with each other for as long as they wanted without having to worry about a deadline they needed to meet or an enemy that would show up unexpectedly and want to do them harm, where they could say anything and not be judged and just enjoy each other's company, after their movie was done, they settled in for the night, as they laid there in a comfortable bed, the night sounds of India were heard and it was beautiful
"Sounds so beautiful here" Sly said
"It is, my father would say that the sounds of India at nighttime were the most beautiful he had ever heard" Neyla said as she snuggled into Sly's chest, Sly couldn't agree more with what Neyla said
"Love, what do you think is next for us…I mean with the Fiendish five and the Klaww gang defeated and Clockwerk no longer in the picture…what will we do now" Neyla asked, Sly thought about it for a moment or two
"Honestly…I don't know but whatever path I walk…I want to walk it with you, Neyla" Sly told her before he kissed her, soon enough the tigress cuddling with her raccoon lover fell into a blissful sleep, as she slept, Sly knew that they were safe, no villain would show up and try to kill them, no Clockwerk would be waiting for them to let their guard down and swoop in, they were safe, meanwhile somewhere up in heaven Connor and Gabriella Cooper looked down at their boy and smiled not only for lifting the curse of Clockwerk for good but also finding the woman of his dreams but while this seemed like the end of Sly Cooper's adventures, there was an old saying that his uncle told him and his father used to say that he liked
*When one door closes…another one opens* Sly said in his mind before he shut his eyes and joined his lover in the land of dreams
(Back at the sight of Slate's defeat)
A bunch of mysterious people were gathering up whatever pieces of Clockwerk that were left and the mysterious figure that had been trailing Sly and his group since India was there as well, a man then walked up to him
"Sir, we've found something" The man said
"What is it" The mysterious figure asked before the other man directed him to a group of men pulling something out of the water
"Well, I'll be damned" The mysterious man said as his men pulled out the body of…SLATE, but he was missing both legs and his left arm
"The terminator himself…what's his status" The mysterious figure asked, suddenly Slate's closed eyes opened and he breathed in a LARGE breath of air before he started thrashing around in the net the other men fished him out of the water with
"I say sir…he lives" The other man said before the mysterious figure approached Slate
"Mister Slate" The mysterious figure said as Slate looked at who spoke to him
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU" Slate asked as he saw a male white tiger (Who is in the same outfit as Haytham Kenway from "Assassin's creed 3")
"Who I am is not important at this particular moment…but, what IS important, is that I have someone who would be…VERY interested in your particular set of skills" The mysterious figure said
"And why the FUCK should I give a shit" Slate asked
"Because our business just so happens to involve the person who was responsible for your humiliating defeat…SLY COOPER" The mysterious figure said
"Well…GO ON…I'm listening" Slate said, making the mysterious figure smirk
