SEASON 3 PART 5/PART 15
It's the next day at school and everyone has arrived in class and soon Aizawa and All Might arrives as well. Everyone goes silent as Aizawa reaches the front of the class "hello class" says All Might which makes Deku think "his entrances habe changed a lot". All Might then continues "yesterday was the halfway point of everyone's journey through the U.A. Gym Challenge" as a quiet cheer makes its way through the class".
Aizawa then continues on All Might's words "the experiences you have been through has allowed us to believe you are ready for the responsibility of a second partner". This shocks the class and soon a much louder cheer emanates through the class but they soon quiet down. "Todoroki since you already have 2 pokemon you have the choice to deny this opportunity" Todoroki thinks for a second before saying "I'm fine" but in his head he's thinking that he needs more time to get Ninetails to trust him before taking on more responsibility.
Todoroki glances to his side as he thinks this to see Ninetails lying on the ground before he looks back. Aizawa and All Might gesture for the class to follow them as they leave the class as everyone practically jumps on top of each other to get out. Everyone is eventually able to form a line and are all lead out and after a short walk the familiar landscape of the wild area is before them.
Aizawa then turns to his class and says "just like last time, you will all have 1 hour and 1 pokeball" as All Might hands out the pokeballs. Deku looks down at the Pokeball before he and Monferno prepare to head into the wild area. All Might them blows a whistle and everyone runs off deep into the wild area, Deku and Monferno look around but nothing is catching their eyes.
Deku sees a variety of different pokemon, different types, sizes and regions but nothing is calling to him as Monferno did when they met. As Deku runs he suddenly skids to a stop as a voice calls to him that is somehow inside his head but Deku isn't going insane "so you are the successor of All Might" says a questioning voice.
Deku looks around suspiciously but the voice then says "I am not currently anywhere near your location but we have met before". Deku doesn't know what to do but then in his mind he thinks "when?" The voice then responds "it was during what you call the USJ" and Deku then realises and thinks "Mewtwo" which the voice confirms. Deku knows Mewtwo isn't a threat after all Mewtwo helped All Might to fight All For One. Deku then thinks "what do you want from me" and Mewtwo responds "from you I sense the same aura that radiates from All Might, I believe you have his power".
Deku freezes and thinks "how does he know" before he realises Mewtwo will hear him as Mewtwo then says "so it is true". Monferno is staring up at Deku quite confused as his face changes between focused to scared and back to focused. Mewtwo then says "the power of All Might given to a mere child is quite interesting, I will watch your career with great interest" Deku then feels a break in his mind and he knows that Mewtwo is gone.
Deku stays frozen for a few seconds until Monferno slaps him in the face as Deku shakes his head. He sees Monferno pointing to his left as he looks and sees a Lairon charging straight towards him. Deku tries to jump out of the way but can't in time and is hit away, Deku turns back only to be hit by a rock slide. Deku then grabs Monferno and jumps through a bush as he hears the clank of rock on metal and a call of "I GOT YOU MIDORIYA" from Kirishima.
Deku and Monferno land after jumping through the bush and once they open their eyes they see a small, blue frog creature looking over them. Deku recognises it as a Froakie but wonders what it's doing deep in the wild area. Deku gets up and sees about 15 more creatures around them, a combination of Froakie's and Frogadier's. Deku then sees another Frogadier but this one seems different to the rest with brighter skin and a darker head
Deku quickly realises that this Frogadier is a shiny and also looks like a leader of a tribe purely in the way it carries itself. This Frogadier then points towards Deku and Monferno with a call of its own name as numerous water guns and bubbles head towards the duo. Deku grabs Monferno and jumps up, knowing this hit could be fatal due to the type disadvantage.
From the air, Deku uses airforce and Monferno uses ember to try hit some of the froakies. The chief Frogadier uses quick attack and blocks all the attacks, living deep in the wild area has caused this Frogadier to be battle ready and battle hardened. The chief Frogadier then jumps towards the pair and right before it's about to attack uses a smoke screen to get behind Deku and kick him to the ground.
Deku doesn't want to hurt the chief Frogadier as he understands that it sees them as threats to its tribes but he may not have a choice but to retaliate. In the air Monferno uses a flame wheel which hits chief frogadier for minimal damage, suddenly 3 more Frogadiers appear around Monferno as Monferno tries to dive towards the ground.
Water guns follow Monferno as Deku jumps up and blocks the water guns but is hit into Monferno as the pair hit the ground. The two go back to back as all the froakies are frogadiers surround them, 3 bubbles are launched towards them as Deku uses an airforce to pierce through one as Monferno uses flame wheel to stop another. The last hits both of them but it doesn't do too much damage as Deku and Monferno are still ready for battle.
Suddenly 2 ambitious Froakie's rush in and attempt to use a pound, Monferno ducks and is able to catch them before throwing them back into the crowd. The chief Frogadier catches them both and puts them down before looking at Monferno angrily, he calls to his fellow froakies and frogadiers before pointing to Monferno and then himself, he wants to fight Monferno alone.
Chief Frogadier rushes in and knocks Monferno out of the circle with a quick attack. Monferno jumps up and counters a second quick attack with a mach punch sending Chief Frogadier flying away. In the air, Chief Frogadier uses a water pulse which hits Monferno and knocks him down. Monferno jumps up in time to jump out of the way of a quick attack.
Meanwhile Deku attempts to jump out of the circle but is hit back in my a Frogadier's quick attack. Deku gets back up and jumps over a bubble as he counters a quick attack with a smash and ducks under a water gun. Deku uses Airforce on a Frogadier which causes it to hit into a few other froakies and frogadiers
Suddenly 4 Frogadier's rush Deku as he attempts to fight them off, he dodges a quick attack but is hit by a water gun, smashes a Frogadier away but is knocked down by a quick attack. Deku jumps into the air and uses Air Force multiple times hitting all 4 as he lands away from them. Deku sees that 3 are knocked out but 1 shakily gets up, still ready to fight which gets Deku nervous "I don't want to hurt any of you" he says.
The fight between Monferno and Chief Frogadier is still going. This fight so far is in Frogadier's favour. While even in raw power the type disadvantage is causing Monferno to take higher amounts of damage. Chief Frogadier uses a quick attack which is stopped by a mach punch as the 2 land back onto the ground.
Chief Frogadier uses a quick attack followed by a cut onto Monferno's stomach. Monferno screams out but then begins to charge a max power flame wheel. Chief Frogadier jumps back and prepares for the attack and once Monferno lets it go at uncontrollable speeds, Chief Frogadier simply jumps over it.
Deku looks over and sees Monferno speeding uncontrollably towards 2 Froakie, Chief Frogadier attempts to stop it but is too late but then Deku does something he didn't expect. Deku jumps in front of the two Froakie and catches Monferno in his hands, Eventually Monferno's momentum stops as Deku yanks back his hands, now with severe burns. The Froakies and Frogadiers prepare to continue the battle but Chief Frogadier slowly walks up to Deku and Monferno and puts his hand up in a motion for his tribe to stop the attack.
Deku then says "you only wanted to protect your people and I can relate to that, I want to protect everyone". Chief Frogadier nods and Deku can tell it shares his same goal, to protect everyone it can. Deku then realises something and takes out his pokeball "would you like to protect everyone together?" Chief Frogadier stares at the pokeball it deep contemplation, it walks over to the only Frogadier who could stand after Deku's Air Force attack and places it's hand upon his head. The Frogadier seems to tear up before closing its eyes and nodding, now the Chief of the tribe. Frogadier walks back over to Deku and calmly places it's hand on the pokeball and goes inside of it, 3 shakes and Deku now has a Frogadier.
Deku looks down at the pokeball "welcome to the team Frogadier" suddenly Kirishima comes racing in while riding the Lairon from earlier. "HEY MIDORIYA" Deku looks in shock at Kirishima and says "you caught it!?" to which Kirishima says "yeah, she's a huge play fighter but packs a major punch". Deku looks at Lairon who looks back with a cheeky grin before racing towards Deku and Deku yet again goes running.
After Deku is able to lose Lairon he starts walking back to the starting area when he sees Bakugo fighting a small green creature. Bakugo charges at this creature as it takes an explosion with a yell of its own name "LARVITAR". The pokemon attempts to attack back but it's greatly weakened after the rest of the fight. Larvitar looks up at Bakugo as the pokeball hits it on its nose and it's sucked in, 3 shakes and Bakugo now has a Larvitar.
Deku continues walking now knowing that sometime, soon or not, Bakugo will have a Tyrannitar. Deku then feels a faint rumbling which quickly stops, he doesn't know what's happening or where so he continues his walk. Meanwhile with Mina during her attempt to catch a pokemon, this pokemon runs away as a strange portal opens in front of her. "Now what is this" says Mina as she walks up to the portal before suddenly something jumps out of it.
Deku then gets back to the starting area as he sees some people have already gotten back. Luckily among these people Deku sees Ida and Ururaka, Deku goes up to them and says "hey, you got pokemon as well". The 2 nod and throw a pokeball each into the air, for Ida a Fletchinder comes out of the ball and for Ururaka, something that Deku is familiar with from Mineta which is a Kirlia.
Deku then brings out Frogadier who jumps out of the ball with a slight sparkle as Ida's glasses nearly fall off. "Midoriya, you found a shiny pokemon do you even know the chances of that!?" Deku then explains the story of how he came across and caught Frogadier as the two listen intently. During this story Mina comes back and sits on the ground beside a pokemon no one has ever seen before.
Mina is saying "what about purply" to little reaction "alien princess?" this comes to a slight grin but then she shakes her head no. The little pokemon begins to point and Mina says "what are we looking at" the pokemon shakes its head "point, is that your name" as it shakes its head again. It claws 3 lines in the ground "three what, three words, threee letters so POI" the pokemon shakes its head no.
The pokemon then begins to scrape a long rectangle in the ground as Mina stares at it. "Uhhhhhhhhh, poirectangle, poilongsquare, poi…poi….POIPOLE" as the pokemon does flips in the air which Mina takes as a yes "welcome to the team poipole". More and more people begin to arrive after this until eventually at the 59 minute mark Kirishima comes in riding on Lairon "SORRY WE WERE HAVING FUNNNNN" he yells
As Kirishima and Lairon skid to a stop in the starting area, Aizawa blows a whistle to signify the end of the 2nd trip to the wild area. Aizawa then proceeds to walk around and look at everyone's pokemon, he stops when noticing that Deku has a shiny pokemon "quite rare Midoriya" he says before continuing. When he reaches Mina he stops for longer "what is that?" he says and Mina answers "it's name is Poipole, it came out a portal thingy". Everyone looks over to Mina as mutters begin "what is that" "did she say it came from a portal".
Aizawa's quirk flares up as the muttering stop immediately and he continues to walk, still with that confused look on his face. Aizawa then gets to Mineta and asks "where is your pokemon Minoru" and Mineta answers "I don't know, she was just here". Deku looks over confused when he feels a slap on his butt, he immediately swings around to see a buneary grinning devilishly before running back to Mineta and high fiving her trainer. Aizawa then says "keep your pokemon under control and continues to walk and checks everyone's pokemon.
After checking everyone's pokemon they all head back when they see an angry 1-b heading towards them. "Aizawa you said we'd go at the same time this time" yells Vlad as Aizawa says "it's my class and I can choose to run it however I feel". Bakugo then yells "HA, YOU LOSE AGAIN". As Monoma slyly says "looks like 1-a needs a head start to get better pokemon, THIS PROVES THE SUPERIORITY OF 1-B-". Monoma is knocked down from an attack from his Croagunk while Kendo face palms, right about to do the same thing.
Everyone walks back to class and once they all sit down All Might says "alright everyone, congrats on your new partners but the year must go on and soon you will all be doing your license exams". Everyone is a mix of excited and nervous at this news but then All Might says "to get you ready for this tomorrow you will all begin to create ultimate moves for yourselves". Everyone immediately gets excited as ideas begin swirling around everyone's head.
The next day near the start of class everyone is brought to what is known as the training dreamland or TDL. "It's made out of cement so I can make areas suited for all the students hence dreamland" explains Cementoss. Midnight then says "your ultimate moves should be the core of your kit which is used for fighting, saving or even both". Everyone nods and immediately get to work on making their ultimate moves.
Deku, Monferno and Frogadier begin to train together as despite the battle only yesterday Deku feels he wants to get more accustomed to how Frogadier fights. Due to his quirk that despite being very powerful is quite basic if you think about it, he has little ideas for an ultimate move. Ectoplasm then comes up to him and says "hey kid you're making ultimate moves not just basic training think a little bit". Deku then explains his quirk and Ectoplasm nods and says "with a quirk like that an ultimate move would be hard to come up with but perhaps a new base to work on could do you well".
Ectoplasm walks away and leaves Deku thinking, he continues his training with Monferno and Frogadier and then he thinks back to his time in the hospital before All Might's battle with All For One. "Your arms have sustained severe damage from their constant breaking" says Nurse Joy as she shows Deku an x ray "much more use of your arms and you may not be able to use them entirely".
Deku remembering what Nurse Joy said sits to the side but he just doesn't get what he's supposed to do when All Might comes up to him. "Hey kid what's the problem" when Deku responds "one for all doesn't really have much room for ultimate moves but Ectoplasm says I should try make a new base to work upon". All Might then says "well how about another hint, stop trying to copy me" before walking away.
All of these thoughts fill Deku's head as he thinks "you can't use your arms" "maybe try a different base" "stop copying me". Deku looks over and sees Ida as he and Fletchinder race around and Ida kicks a rock in his way hard enough to smash it. Suddenly a realisation hits Deku "wait a minute, WAIT A MINUTE I HAVE LEGS", Deku then realises he yelled this as Frogadier and Monferno look at him as if he was insane.
Deku then says "you two stay here" before running off to Ida taking a break and says "hey Ida would you be able to help me with something?" Right after class, Ida and Ururaka are heading to the support course as they see Deku creeping up on the door to the support course for some reason using one for all. "Hey Deku are you getting some costume changes as well" Deku turns and says "yeah I need some arm sup-" Deku jumps to the side as the door to the support course explodes open.
Mei then gets up and looks around and notices the trio "oh hey Deku back already, guess you expected it this time". Mei gets up and starts to walk inside as the Ida says "we've come to request some costume upgrades" and at this Mei head pratically turns 180° as she says "alright come on in". Everyone goes inside as Powerloader says "Mei one more explosion and you're going to be banned, ah Midoriya, I hear you want costume upgrades". Deku explains his upgrades, some arm support and something else while Ida wants some coolers and Ururaka wants help with nausea.
The next day in the TDL Bakugo is training with Larvitar and Primeape as he lets go a big explosion which dislodges a rock which heads towards All Might. "ALL MIGHT WATCH OUT" yells Bakugo when suddenly the rock explodes and Deku is seen having just kicked the rock. Deku lands as Kirishima says "woah Midoriya that's awesome" and Kaminari says "but I thought you were more a punchy guy" and Deku responds "I got some new iron soles, I call it Shoot Style".
Deku then tells All Might "just be careful alright" before jumping off to continue training with Monferno and Frogadier. As they train Frogadier launches a water pulse towards Monferno, Monferno was forced to react fast and uses a power up punch when suddenly his hand goes inside the water pulse. Monferno looks down at his hand surrounded by the water pulse as he rushes towards Frogadier and hits him with his own attack. Deku says "wow that was awesome, it's like a combo move how about pulse punch" Monferno cheers and Frogadier nods when hearing this and they decide try practice.
Frogadier launches a water pulse towards Monferno as it uses a max power mach punch on the water pulse. This time the water pulse it launched back towards Frogadier at a much higher speed nur Frogadier jumps over it as it explodes a rock behind him. Deku then says "mach punch must be strong enough to hit water pulse away while power up punch isn't strong enough. It seems that water pulse became much stronger when Monferno hit it, maybe this could be another combo move, how about mach pulse?"
Now knowing they have something to practice for their license exams, Deku, Monferno and Frogadier all begin to train harder. Deku takes a moment to look around and sees everyone having their own ultimate moves, Bakugo's ap shoot, Tokoyami surrounding himself with dark shadow and Mina creating an acid shield. The license exams may be the most important part of their school journey, the first part to becoming true heroes and he along with the rest of 1-A will succeed
