Chapter 10: Aunt Glass vs. Superhero Clones.
(Quantic Universe Earth 19274729568301958374, Paris, France, September 9th, 2014, third person POV...)
In Ms. Bustier's classroom, Marinette was concentrating on her schoolwork for the day.
Ms. Bustier notices and decides not to question it, having read somewhere in Marinette's file that she's dedicated to her schoolwork that it almost seems like she has a supernatural form of concentration on any of her goals that nothing can practically disturb her.
But of course, Ms. Bustier doesn't know that she couldn't be more right.
As everyone finishes their schoolwork and waits for Ms. Bustier to check their work, Marinette mentally says to her first Ladybug clone, "Ladybug, make sure you use our teams of clones to help you with the supervillain known as Aunt Glass."
Ladybug Clone 1 replies telepathically to the real Marinette, "Consider it done, boss."
Marinette keeps her eyes on the clock and she doesn't notice as Alya looks over at her new best friend.
Alya remarks mentally, "She probably doesn't know it, but I'm curious as to how she manages to get to school on time and finish everything on time. This calls for some serious investigation."
Marinette glares emotionlessly at Alya with a raised eyebrow, making Alya realize that, in some capacity, Marinette can read minds.
Meanwhile, in the middle of the Seine riverbanks, a woman in her late forties named Nadège Clérico is walking along, going strong as shown by how much she worked out in her youth and continued to do so even as she's getting older.
Suddenly, a familiar female voice says in disgust, "Nadège Clérico."
Nadège turns around to see her old high school bully Jackalin Bélanger standing there, arms crossed and a fixed scowl on her face.
Nadège snarls, "Jackalin."
Jackalin then says, "I see you've done well for yourself."
Nadège retorts, "And I see you haven't done well yourself."
Jackalin scowls further as she replies, "Well, either way, I won't rest until you learn what it's like to be me ever since the purging of our old high school back in 1985."
Jackalin walks away.
Nadège remarks to no one in particular, "Well, at least something good once again came out of our school being purged of incompetent educators and rampant bullies. What was the person's name again? Oh yeah: Gaylor Darrieussecq."
In Hawk Moth's lair, the window opens as Hawk Moth remarks, "A former high school bully who hit a couple of lows just because the school was purged of rampant bullies and incompetent educators. Well, I've never Akumatized someone like this before, especially for good reasons, but there's no harm in trying."
Hawk Moth creates an Akuma and says while sending it off, "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize her!"
The Akuma flies towards Jackalin and merges with her paper detailing a letter of her parents disowning her.
Jackalin looks up and Hawk Moth says, "Aunt Glass, I am Hawk Moth. I'm giving you the power to manipulate glass and harden yourself into the equivalent of a new form of plate glass for protection against physical damages in order to get your revenge. All I ask in return is Ladybug, Cat Noir, Screechclaw, Milo Tigger, Purple Streak, Royal Fowl, Ozzy Bubba, Roadkill, Beck Dollarbird, Gunner Claws, Pigeon Justice, Windpiper, Swift Talon, Red Venus, Nightshrike, Shortrunner, Brushrunner, Pluto Bill, Flo-Snowcock, Nightingale-Moe, Larry Hawk, Paul Loon, Electro-Cisticola, Buzzard Wagtail, Chachalaca Raptor, Frogpecker, Snowrail, Opal Turtledove, Pearl Turkey, Quail Runner, Petrie Mountflight, Picasso Scales, Pipper Quail, Gamble Bird, Red Fowl, Green Wildbird, Pixie Pheasant, Pumpkin Seeker, Rafiki Hunter, Silver Gamebird, Rainy Flight-Game, Rowdy Firebird, Monal Rhythm, Saki Partridge, Satchmo Dovewing, Shadowflight Owl, Shamrock Cyber-Owl, Owl Soldier, Smokie Tailhawk, Somara Sparrowwing, Spike Hawkcollar, Star Sparrowhawk, Stormy Sparrow, Taz Hawk, Chiffchaff, Golden Oriole, Goldcrest, Fieldfare, Firecrest, Redpoll, Whinchat, Wheatear, Waxwing, Velvet Scoter, Shoveler, Treecreeper, Sanderling, Serin Knight, Indigo Ruff, Black Rook, Razorbill, Pintail, Purple Puffin, Nuthatch, Osprey, Meadow Pipit, Emerald Mallard, Little Owl, Marsh Harrier, Knot Knocker, Black Martin, Jack Snipe, Hoopoe, Hooded Crow, Honey Buzzard, Silver Harrier, Hawkwing, Hawfinch, Emerald Shank, Manx Shearwater, Lady Shearwater, Pink Warbler, Golden Pheasant, Night Goshawk, Buzzbrain, Fizzy Drop, Caramac, Haribo Fudge, Reeceburst, Dew Dove, Star Hive, Goldie Blimp, Solar Scarlet, Abalone Clam, Climber, Big Hop, Scissorhands, Goliath, Butter Bean, Bigmander, Grass Leg, Bellona Mariposa, Adelbern, Boardwalk, Blood Claws, Gigi Negro, Kinkamouser, Moggie Rex, Wild Blue, and Mongrel Terrier's Miraculouses."
Jackalin/Aunt Glass replies, "I gladly accept your proposal, Hawk Moth. Watch out, Paris, for Aunt Glass will be coming to wreak havoc!"
Jackalin becomes Aunt Glass, a combination of different kinds of superheroes and supervillains who can manipulate glass as well as a female version of The Leader, minus the big brain.
Aunt Glass then sends plate glass armored robotic knights that go around using glass manipulation and glass transmutation to not only increase their numbers, but also to eliminate any opposition through one-way physical contact.
Suddenly, the first clones of Ladybug, Cat Noir, Screechclaw, Milo Tigger, Purple Streak, Royal Fowl, Ozzy Bubba, Roadkill, Beck Dollarbird, Gunner Claws, Pigeon Justice, Windpiper, Swift Talon, Red Venus, Nightshrike, Shortrunner, Brushrunner, Pluto Bill, Flo-Snowcock, Nightingale-Moe, Larry Hawk, Paul Loon, Electro-Cisticola, Buzzard Wagtail, Chachalaca Raptor, Frogpecker, Snowrail, Opal Turtledove, Pearl Turkey, Quail Runner, Petrie Mountflight, Picasso Scales, Pipper Quail, Gamble Bird, Red Fowl, Green Wildbird, Pixie Pheasant, Pumpkin Seeker, Rafiki Hunter, Silver Gamebird, Rainy Flight-Game, Rowdy Firebird, Monal Rhythm, Saki Partridge, Satchmo Dovewing, Shadowflight Owl, Shamrock Cyber-Owl, Owl Soldier, Smokie Tailhawk, Somara Sparrowwing, Spike Hawkcollar, Star Sparrowhawk, Stormy Sparrow, Taz Hawk, Chiffchaff, Golden Oriole, Goldcrest, Fieldfare, Firecrest, Redpoll, Whinchat, Wheatear, Waxwing, Velvet Scoter, Shoveler, Treecreeper, Sanderling, Serin Knight, Indigo Ruff, Black Rook, Razorbill, Pintail, Purple Puffin, Nuthatch, Osprey, Meadow Pipit, Emerald Mallard, Little Owl, Marsh Harrier, Knot Knocker, Black Martin, Jack Snipe, Hoopoe, Hooded Crow, Honey Buzzard, Silver Harrier, Hawkwing, Hawfinch, Emerald Shank, Manx Shearwater, Lady Shearwater, Pink Warbler, Golden Pheasant, Night Goshawk, Buzzbrain, Fizzy Drop, Caramac, Haribo Fudge, Reeceburst, Dew Dove, Star Hive, Goldie Blimp, Solar Scarlet, Abalone Clam, Climber, Big Hop, Scissorhands, Goliath, Butter Bean, Bigmander, Grass Leg, Bellona Mariposa, Adelbern, Boardwalk, Blood Claws, Gigi Negro, Kinkamouser, Moggie Rex, Wild Blue, and Mongrel Terrier show up and they start demolishing the robots.
Suddenly, more advanced robots start showing up and they start demolishing the buildings to divide the heroes' attention, setting the buildings ablaze in the process.
Ladybug Clone 1 growls as she shouts, "Universal Superhero Army, CHARGE!"
The clones of the various real life and fictional superheroes take out the glass machines and put out the fires.
Suddenly, Aunt Glass turns up and snarls, "You ruined everything! Now, it's personal!"
Ladybug Clone 1 then starts dance-fighting with Aunt Glass, and because of Ladybug Clone 1's experience, she managed to win and take the Akumatized object to rip apart.
Ladybug Clone 1 then summons her Miraculous Ladybug and fixes the damages done while also eliminating the remains of the robots.
Aunt Glass is turned back into Jackalin and the heroes fist-bump.
In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth snarls, "Yargh! Once again, this isn't over! I'll be back and I will get my revenge!"
The window to Hawk Moth's lair closes.
Back at the battle site, Ladybug Clone 1 is tickle torturing Jackalin for the things she did in the past, and after having her fun, Ladybug Clone 1 hands Jackalin over to Officer Raincomprix as he states, "Jackalin Bélanger, you are under arrest for fraud, for schoolyard bullying, for tax evasion, and for multiple counts of assault and attempted murder."
Jackalin was handcuffed as she screeched, "This isn't over! I'll get all of you for this, even if it means working for Hawk Moth!"
Ladybug Clone 1 then proceeded to brutalize Jackalin to the point where she would need moderate medical treatment.
This didn't go unnoticed by Screechclaw Clone 1 and Ozzy Bubba Clone 1 when they took Ladybug Clone 1 aside to calm her down while Cat Noir Clone 1 and the rest of the team's clones had to explain that Ladybug Clone 1 has a serious no-tolerance attitude towards evildoers of all kinds – Roarke biker gangs, supervillains, masterminds, terrorists, and murderers included – and that she can't be blamed or held responsible for brutalizing even a potential terrorist collaborator just because he or she said the wrong thing that can send Ladybug Clone 1 into a rage-induced craze.
And they made sure to remind everyone that even if there wasn't supposed to be any fatal flaws in their clone army, there's always gonna be at least one negative trait inherited from the original versions of someone like Ladybug.
In Marinette's bedroom, Marinette was lifting weights and Marinette Clone 1 was meditating as Tikki says after having finished watching the footage on the Ladyblog courtesy of Alya's new drone, "What you did was very foolish, Marinette Clone 1."
Marinette Clone 1 replies coldly, "Even in your sector of the omniverse, there's good and there's evil, and evil must be punished. Even in the face of Judgement Day, I'll never compromise. But admittedly, gentle guidance is needed for those who genuinely want to change."
Neither versions of Marinette and Ladybug may not have been punished whatsoever, mostly because the original Marinette didn't know that her locked up Rorschach-esque personality in terms of viewing the Earth in black and white because of the moralities between good and evil would actually be manifesting in either the original Marinette or in one of her clones, but Marinette Clone 1 did get a thorough lecture from her and her original's parents that secretly made Marinette Clone 1 wish the original version never brought her parents onto the battlefield.
Marinette didn't take kindly to that thought, so she forcibly reprogrammed her clone.
Tikki asks as Marinette Clone 1 sleeps downstairs in the basement headquarters established that's connected to the primary headquarters underneath the city, "Was reprogramming your clone really necessary?"
Marinette replies, "No, but admittedly, I couldn't take any chances."
Marinette then goes to sleep, having finished her homework quickly and while getting everything right once again during the Aunt Glass incident.
The End.
