The demonslayers looked at the enraged Cockatrice. They feared nothing and their bites were poisonous. If they couldn't defeat such a creature, it would be bad for the civilians
"Saman, what are this things weaknesses?" Giyu asked.
"I don't know other than another Cockatrice. But as enraged as that one is, that may not stop the monster. We need to get word to Velos. Maybe they know of a way." Saman said. Before the trip could get back to the ship, the monster attacked. The group was getting ready to fight when a voice spoke.
"Stay there. This is something you cannot fight. Get ready to go to the ship." A voice said. The group looked at the man who spoke..
"Lord Danok?" Saman said.
"Yes, you are late. Drak and the others are at the ship. This Cockatrice is now demonized and you won't stand a chance. I will fight it." Danok spoke coldly.
"Yes sir. Let's go." Saman said. The monster roared when he saw his targets leaving. Suddenly the air become heavy and filled with a dark mist. Danok has called his armor to fight. He looked at the Cockatrice.
"By the stars, Muzan, you will pay." Danok swore. Muzan had turned the people against the demonslayers. It had cost them their leaders life but they had gotten away. Galen offered them safe sanctuary in Velos and still allow them to fight Muzan. Danok hated a man like that.
"Cowardice is the same in all creatures." Danok said softly. The monster charged Danok.
"Very well. Art of Nightmare: Dark orb." Danok said, forming a ball of pure energy. The Cockatrice was almost to him when he pushed it into the Cockatrice. The Cockatrice screamed as the ball expanded in its body but was able to bite down on Danok's arm. Danok felt the bite on his armor. The Cockatrice screamed as it's whole body was vaporized by the dark orb. Soon nothing was left of the monster. Danok contacted Trent.
"Trent, tell Rania I am on the way back. Muzan sent a Cockatrice to attack the others. I'll be there soon" Danok mind linked Trent.
"Ok. I'll tell her." Trent said. Danok then opened a portal to the nightmare realm. He was going to send Muzan a little surprise of his own. Danok walked into the Nightmare realm. He walked to a tall tower and opened the door. Inside there were several creatures awaiting his arrival
"My lord, what do you wish of us?" One said.
"Where's Kijo?" Danok asked. One man spoke.
"She is coming." A flurry of wings was heard. A beautiful woman with half black, half white hair, skin so pale it was almost translucent. She smiled as she saw Danok.
"Forgive my tardiness, my lord." She said softly and shyly. Kijo was half demon half harpy. The former Lord kept her in a cage as entertainment. Danok set her free and gave her the harpy's, onibabas, and the nymphs of the nightmare realm to oversee. She had black and white wings that protruded from her back.
"No worries, Kijo. I have a mission for you." Danok said. Kijo knelt.
"You are to attack the demons that Muzan makes. If you can take out an upper noon do so but do not kill Muzan. That honor belongs to someone else." Danok said. Kijo smiled and rose.
"With pleasure, my lord, I will unleash my wrath on them." Kijo said flying away. Danok nodded and then others left. Danok then opened a portal to Velos. He walked into his office to see aan wearing owl feathers, playing with a clear glass ball in his hand. Danok merely glared at him.
"Well, well, Lord Danok. You forgot I was to report to you." The man said. Danok smiled.
"Had to fight a Cockatrice that was demonized. Muzan again." Danok said. The man looked up.
"You better not let Sesshomaru hear that name." The man cautioned softly.
"I won't. He would hunt him down." Danok said.
"And you might want to call off your armor or face Lady Rania dragging you to the hospital again." The man quipped.
"What do you mean, Jared?" Danok said. Jared tapped his arm. Danok looked at the dented area.
"Oh, I forgot." Danok said calling his armor off. As soon as it disappeares, Rania opened his door.
"You defeated the monster. Was it Muzan?" She asked.
"Yes. He's getting bolder. The thing did bite my arm but I had my armor on." Danok said. Rania glared.
"I don't think it broke the skin but I'll go see Doc later." Danok said. Rania spoke.
"Actually, Vilis might be better.. Cockatrice are poisonous." Rania said smirking.
"You brought Vilis didn't you?" Danok said. Vilis walked into the room.
"Right arm." Danok said.
"Cockatrice. Hmmm, you have a small scratch. Not enough to kill but enought to cause you tomget sick.. Luckily, I have an antidote." Vilis said. He pulled out a syringe and injected Danok. Danok laughed as Jared turned away.
"Jared, aren't you supposed to be giving the nins a crash course in the supernatural?" Rania said. Jared spoke.
"I'm going now." Karen said turning into an owl and flying away. Danok laughed.
"The great Goblin king scared of needles." Danok quipped. Rania glared at Danok but shook her head.
"What did you find out?" She asked.
Konoha
Danzo was furious. The scrolls had been stolen in front of them but by who? The merchants were scared as so was some nins. The Damiyo had ordered no one was to leave the village unless on a mission. Danzo sent a nin to Suna to warn them of the rogues. The female nin had yet to return. Danzo glared at the village. He had the position he wanted but not the power. The Mist village had once again taken on the no bloodline rule cause they literally had no one with bloodlines left. Danzo smiled. Time was all he needed. Also, his breeding program had been approved. Yes it was going to become a great village. As Danzo smiled, a little creature quickly ran from shadow to shadow. He ran from the Hokage tower to a small cave. Once there, he used a small orb to teleport to Velos. Veran sat on the rock awaiting his summon's return.
What did you found out? Veran signed.
"It is as suspected, master. The one eyed one is waiting until he has a death hold on the nations to attack. Perhaps a year or two." The summons said.
Perhaps, but I will tell Rania of this. You may go. Veran signed. The summons poofed away. Veran walked quickly to the consulate. He was entering when he saw his wife coming the same way. He smiled as he blended into the shadow that the afternoon brought. Honey wasn't paying attention so went Veran reached from the shadows and swooped her up, she yelped.
"You! Put me down! Who do you think...oh, hello husband." Honey said as she came face to face with her husband. Veran's grin showed his amusement.
You were not paying attention, Honey. What if an enemy grabbed you? Veran signed.
"He would find himself with a pivotal part of his body." Honey said sweetly, showing her bladed fan
I forgot you had those, Silver tongue. Veran signed calling his wife by her code name. Honey smiled.
"Rania is busy with the Consul at the moment. We can relay the messages we received a little later. Perhaps a cup of tea would be nice?" Honey said.
Yes. I can report later. Veran said. Honey smiled and pulled him toward her favorite tea shop. Vilis and Shizune were out for a walk and had saw the exchange.
"If you ever do that to me, I'll let Tonton eat all your clothes." Shizune said. Vilis smiled.
"I would never do that. Honey has a way with words and she knows Veran likes to pull pranks." Vilis said mentally noting to never do that. The couple walked to the same tea shop. Miles away, a dark spirit possessed the body of a nin.
"Finally, I'm back. First, to see what my old enemy has been up to. Then I'll start where I left off!!!" The man said. The air chilled around him. A man with glasses was talking to him.
"I'm your master!!!!!!! You obey...AAAARGGGHHHH!" Kabuto said as his body was ripped apart by the man. The man then walked away from the cave to a pool. He looked at his reflection and changed it to his own face. It was night so no worries about being seen. Yes, he would see exactly what Danzo was up to. A smile crept across is lips. Danzo, you destroyed everything for me and tried to take what did not belong to you. I will have my revenge
