Alright, here's the last chapter for this weird thing. People were surprisingly interested in Jaune x Summer, so here it is. It's not as funny as the previous chapters, but you can blame that on V9 really tearing into Ruby. I couldn't avoid it. It's kind of weird how Weiss became the comic relief when it was her home that cracked like an egg.
Warning, Ruby has a bit of a potty mouth in this chapter. #letrubysayfuck.
Seeing Jaune again gave Ruby conflicting feelings. On one hand, seeing her best friend (besides Weiss) again was nice, even if he looked twenty years older than when she last saw him. On the other hand, it felt like just another reminder of her failure. Seeing Weiss in the Ever After felt the same. She was the next to fall alongside Blake, and she'd hoped that the rest of her friends could have made it out.
Jaune on, the other hand, didn't seem torn at all.
"Oh, it's so good to see you guys again!" Jaune grinned and scooped them all up - yes, at the same time - in a bone-crushing hug. Ruby squeaked in surprise, Yang and Blake took it in stride, and Weiss looked like she was about to have an orgasm. Yes, she knew what that was, thank you very much! Just cause she wasn't obvious about it didn't mean she was a five-year-old.
"Good to you too, Jaune," Yang said as soon as he set them down, "You look..."
"Mature," Weiss drawled, looking at Jaune with 'fuck me' eyes. The other three members of team RWBY looked at her and she blushed. Jaune somehow didn't notice and just laughed again, rubbing the back of his head. He did look different. Definitely aged, but not in a bad way. His hair was longer now and tied in a warrior's wolf tail, still shining bright and gold in the Ever After sun with a neatly trimmed beard complimenting it. Besides that, his armor was practically gleaming white and it actually looked like a full set instead of something he haphazardly put on over his regular outfit.
"Thanks." He still kept on smiling...it kinda pissed her off, honestly. Here she was feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders and yet Jaune looked like he was having the time of his life. He must've been alone here for a couple of decades, so why the heck did he look so happy? She guessed misery really did love company.
"Jaune...what happened back in Atlas?" Ruby asked softly.
His smile finally fell and he sighed, "That's...a long story. It's better if I tell you while we're moving." He grabbed the jackalope's reins and gently tugged her along, "Just...try to keep an eye open mind, alright? We can still fix things."
"How do you know that?" Ruby's eyes narrowed. She was sick of false hope and platitudes.
"Someone told me how we can beat Salem." That caused all of them to look at each other in surprise, "Yeah, that's how I felt too, but she definitely knows her stuff. Heck, she nearly did it herself before she got trapped here. We would've gone back sooner, but we both knew you guys would get here and the way we know to escape will only work once. If we left earlier you four could've been trapped."
"So not only do you know how to beat Salem, you already have a plan to get us all out?" Blake asked.
"I've been here for twenty years. Lots of time to get things done."
"And who is this...woman?" Weiss asked, just a little too sharply.
"She'd want to talk to you guys herself, but trust me, you'll all love her. Especially Ruby and Yang." The two sisters looked at one another in confusion. They all stayed silent as Jaune talked about what happened after they fell. The more he talked the worse she felt. So not only did they screw up but now Cinder and Salem had the staff. Just another mistake in the growing pile of Ruby's Rose's fuck ups.
She only got more and more resentful as Jaune told them more. Her friends and Yang didn't help. Instead of being miserable like she was, they were still going on about how they could fix things, especially with the help of Jaune's new mystery friend. Weiss made her the angriest. She just lost her home and now she was spending the walk back stripping Jaune naked with her eyes.
She almost attacked Jaune altogether when he admitted he was the one who killed Penny. She wanted to scream and cry and rage, but what would that do? Penny asked him to do it to keep the power away from Cinder. As much as she
It only got worse when they got caught in that punderstorm thing and Yang finally decided to kiss that pussy. Yes, that was offensive. No, she didn't care. Seriously, why was everyone so dang chipper?
"We're here."
Ruby looked past Jaune to see a village, just like he told them. It didn't make her feel anything. All they had to do was meet with Jaune's friend and-"
"Daddy!"
Ruby blinked and watched, utterly gobsmacked, as a little girl with curly blonde hair wearing a green dress, who looked about seven or eight years old, ran up to Jaune and hugged him. Jaune laughed and picked her up, spinning her around as she squealed in excitement. Ruby tried to process what she was seeing. The little girl looked human, and she called Jaune 'daddy'. That didn't leave a lot of interpretation of who she was.
It was only when she looked closer that she noticed her blonde hair had turned red at the tips.
"Penny." Jaune laughed and kissed the top of the little girl's head. Ruby's chest tightened at the name, "Where's everyone else?"
"They're exploring with mommy. I'm holding down the fort!" She gave an energetic salute as soon as Jaune set her back down. Her eyes widened when she finally noticed them, "Who are they?"
"Well...these are Daddy's friends, the ones I told you all about."
The girl squealed again and ran up to them excitedly, paying special attention to her and Yang both.
"You two are my big sisters, right?!" Ruby blinked at that. What did she mean by-
"Jaune!" A new...and yet strangely familiar voice called. Ruby looked past the little girl and completely froze. There were six more little girls, each looking the same age as the first one with varying lengths of hair and different attires ranging from blouses and skirts to vests and pants. And at the head of the pack was...
"M...Mom...?" Ruby whispered.
"Mom?!" Yang shouted, both shocked and excited.
Summer Rose - supermom, Huntress, and Silver Eyed Warrior - stopped when her eyes landed on her and Yang. The surprise lasted for only a moment before she screamed in utter glee and practically tackled them both to the ground.
"My babies!" she said, hugging them tighter than Jaune did. Both she and Yang were in too much shock to do anything but take their...their mom's embrace. This wasn't a dream, right? She couldn't trust herself to tell what was real or not anymore, but if this was a dream then she didn't want to wake up.
"M-Mom?" Ruby whispered again, holding onto her back tightly, "Is...Is it really you?"
"It's me, Rosebud. It's me." Rosebud. Mom was the only one to call her that, "Oh, I can't believe you're all finally here. We've been waiting so long."
"Pardon us, but..." Weiss cut in, just as confused as the rest of them were, "Are you...Summer Rose?"
"I am indeed. And you two must be Weiss and Blake. I heard all about you two from Jaune." Mom stepped back slightly but still kept an arm wrapped around each of them, "I've been looking forward to meeting you both. Jaune's told me good things. Thank you for looking after my babies."
"Mom, we aren't babies," Yang said, mouth curled up in a smile and tears in her eyes.
"You'll always be my babies no matter how old you two get." Mom laughed.
"Mommy?" One of the girls, a girl wearing a shirt, jeans, and sneakers with her blonde, red-tipped hair tied up in a ponytail.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Mom returned to the group " I should introduce you all. This is Yin, Neerah, Pyrrha, Lian, Snow, and Noir. You all already met Penelope." She gestured to the first blonde they met clinging to Jaune's side, "Ruby, Yang...say hello to your new sisters."
"What...?" Ruby blinked.
"What?!" Yang screamed.
"Sisters? That means you're their mother, but they have blonde hair and Penelope called Jaune dad, so..." Blake trailed off as they all realized the implications. The blonde hair, the girls, Mom and Jaune being the only two humans around. Jaune and Mom just looked at one another and, instead of saying anything else, just smiled awkwardly and held hands.
"Ahahaha...kids, meet your new stepdad."
...
Ruby fainted.
Ruby awoke in bed with a purple starfish made out of paper setting down a tray of croissants at a table next to her, "Hello. You are the one called Ruby. It is nice to serve you." It bowed slightly then waddled off. She was too used to the craziness of the Ever After to really think about how odd that was.
"What a weird dream..." She shook her head and bit into one of the croissants. Tasty. She didn't see the rest of her team, but honestly, she wasn't even surprised. The first time she fainted they just left her on the ground. With Yang and Blake making goo-goo eyes at each other and Weiss eye-fucking Jaune she wasn't surprised they left her alone again. At least they put her on a bed this time.
But wow, that was a really weird thing to imagine. Was she really so tired after meeting Jaune that she imagined him getting together with Mom and having seven kids with her? Stupid. Besides, Jaune and her were kinda leading up to something before everything in Atlas went sideways. The long looks, the stolen glances, the general atmosphere of 'would they, might they'. If Atlas fell just a week later they would've already been together.
The door opened and Mom stepped inside, "Hey, Rosebud. Are you alright?"
...
It wasn't a dream. Which meant she got cucked by her mom.
She was torn between feeling really pissed about that (and the fact that Jaune had fucked her mom, which was definitely breaking some kind of best friend code) and not caring since her mom was still alive and that was a good thing no matter how weird it was.
"Purple told me you were awake. Yang told me you girls haven't had any sleep in a while." Mom sat at the bedside and took a croissant for herself.
"...What was that starfish thing?" she asked. It wasn't what she wanted to ask, but she couldn't muster up the nerve to say what she really wanted.
"That's Purple. She's one of the Paper Pleasers." Ruby looked at her in confusion, "Oh, they're one of the Afterans. They helped get me and Jaune back on our feet after some...trouble we got into." She pursed her lips, "They've also been an amazing help with the girls. When they were born, all of them decided that their new purpose was to help them grow up happy and healthy. I can't thank them enough for it."
"So, uh...you and Jaune...?"
Her smile fell slightly, "You're wondering about me and Tai, aren't you?" Ruby nodded. She did think about that, among other things, "I admit I felt guilty at the start. He did too, of course. He didn't know me, but he knew enough from the stories you told him. You know, when I first fell here he thought I was you. He was so devastated when he realized I wasn't."
"But...?"
"He told me who he was and that he was waiting for you all. I decided to wait with him. I would've done anything to see you both again." Mom held her hand, "We helped each other. Being alone here would've been too much, but when we were with each other, it felt better. Before I knew it we felt things deeper than being just friends waiting for you all."
"I did think about Tai. I told myself that it wasn't right and that I had to stay faithful, but...he's moved on." Ruby didn't deny it. Those first couple of years were rough, forcing Yang to step up and mature faster for her sake, but Dad eventually came back, "I can't just come back ten years later and expect things to pick up where we left off. We still didn't do anything for years. We didn't even want children because we thought it was too risky, but..." Mom blushed, "Well, apparently the Arcs are very...virile."
"Mom, gross!"
"You asked." Mom rolled her eyes playfully, "So tell me. Rosebud...are you okay?" She wasn't asking about Jaune.
Ruby wanted to say she was alright and clam up like she had since they'd arrived in the Ever After. Instead, the metaphorical dam broke and confessed everything. How she felt like a failure, how everything was her fault and she didn't know what to do anymore. She cried and blubbered and said everything so quickly that she almost doubted Mom even understood what she was saying. But of course she did.
"Shh, shh. It's okay, Rosebud." Mom hugged her gently and rubbed circles across her back, "You were so strong and did so much. We were lucky. We didn't have to fight Salem till after we graduated, but all of you...you had the weight of the world on your shoulders and you all kept going."
"I made mistakes..."
"We all did. That's part of being human. And faunus. Part of being anyone, really." Mom chuckled softly, "Don't worry, Rosebud. We can make everything right. We'll stay over tomorrow to let you all get some rest and then we can leave."
"O...Okay." A part of her wanted to argue that they had to leave as soon as possible, but Mom was right. They were all exhausted and still reeling from everything that happened. It wouldn't do any good if they came back to Remnant in this state, "So, uh...those names."
"Yeah, they were pretty on the nose, huh? But Jaune insisted." Five of them were namesakes while two were...Ruby shook her head. Penny and Pyrrha were gone, and there was nothing wrong with honoring them this way.
"So, uh...why didn't I get one?" Not that she wanted a namesake, but still!
"Well, about that..." Mom put a hand on her belly and smiled, "You might be getting that wish soon."
...
Nope, nope, nope. Ruby stood up and, ignoring her mom's protests that she still needed rest, walked out of the door to the living room. The rest of the team was there with a bunch of the Paper Pleasers and all seven of the girls. They looked the same age, and she did not want to think about her mom being pregnant with seven of her half-sisters at the same time.
Unfortunately, the universe decided it wasn't done taking a dump on her right at that moment.
"I'll tell you, Sum was a cranky pregnant lady," Jaune said from the kitchen, "The Paper Pleasers didn't help cause they had no idea how that stuff worked. They were really curious about how someone could grow a little human inside of them, let alone seven."
"Ha!' Yang laughed. What the heck?
"Guys, I need to talk to you," Ruby said. Before they could respond, Ruby grabbed Yang's arm and all but dragged her out of the room back outside with Blake and Weiss reluctantly following.
"What's up, Rubes?" Yang asked.
"What's up?" Ruby rounded on her older sister incredulously, "Jaune's our stepdad, that's 'what's up'!" The reaper threw her hands up, "Why aren't you freaking out about this?! Jaune's our friend and he's screwing Mom!"
"He also has kids with her," Blake pointed out.
"Not helping!"
"I dunno. I mean it is super weird that they're together and I have seven new little sisters, but Mom's alive. I care about that more than Vomit Boy - sorry, Vomit Man - being our stepdad. Besides, it just means I have seven new sisters to teach the way of the Yang."
"I suppose that will be sneaking into clubs, getting into fights, and partying all night long?" Weiss asked flatly. Yang just grinned, "I'll also admit my...disappointment that Jaune is taken, but they seem happy together and who's anyone to deny that?"
"Oh, so if Jaune was screwing your mom you'd be cool with it?" Ruby raised a brow.
"If they were happy together, then yes." Weiss crossed her arms oh so maturely, "But of course, that would never happen. If he was to go after a Schnee, I would be the obvious choice. He was enamored with me before, after all."
"By the way, Rubes. I...have to apologize." Ruby stepped back as Yang suddenly clapped and bowed her head, "Mom told me I've been a pretty bad sis lately. She didn't yell, but she was super disappointed in how I've been acting. I haven't really been paying attention to you, and I'm sorry."
"Uh...it's okay?" Darn it, why did she have to apologize now? She wanted to be angry at her, darn it!"
"This isn't just about Jaune and your mom being together, is it?" Blake hummed, "I saw how you and Jaune were acting before everything went down."
"Th-That's not it at all!" Ruby shook her head, cheeks flushed.
"Wait, seriously?" Yang facepalmed, "Look, I promised to be a more supportive sister, but I'm drawing the line at you getting yourself stuck in the washing machine. There are other fish in the sea, Rubes."
"I wouldn't do that!" Ruby denied hotly.
"There is another option." Blake said, expression utterly serious, "Tell me, Ruby, have you heard of Oyakodon?"
"What? Blake, I'm not hungry right now."
"That's not what I-"
"Ahahaha! Hey, girlfriend, why don't we have a long talk about you trying to corrupt my sister right in front of me?" Yang practically choked Blake as she dragged her by the neck out of sight. Blake desperately tried to pry Yang's arm off her neck and looked to them for help. Weiss just shook her head in disappointment and muttered something about how 'she was the only one who wasn't a pervert' while Ruby looked on in confusion. She'd have to remember the term for later.
It was after they defeated Salem - long story, don't ask - that she finally had time to look the word up. The first result she got was for a Mistralian dish, but then she looked up the slang definition and...
This was...this was filth! FILTH! Ugh, her future sister-in-law was a degenerate! Disgusting! Gross! What the heck?! She needed to give Blake a piece of her mind?! Honestly, did Blake think she was gonna be happy with this?! Because she wasn't!

She tapped the link to 'tips' and kept reading...
Yeah. Like I said, not as funny as Weiss thirsting and failing to get with Jaune. The middle part with Summer comforting Ruby felt really off with the rest of the chapter, especially. Anyway, this is the end of this little experiment. If I ever write a Jaune x Summer fic again - which I'm oddly interested in despite Summer being a non-character - I'll lean more on the comedy of Ruby and Yang needing brain bleach at their same-age peer being their stepdad.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this weird little exploration into Jaune being a motherfucker. If you're interested in something similar, then check out 'Nuisance' by Cyanide Sins for a Blake variant. Nothing for Yang, at least from what I've seen.
