Also, just in advance, there's going to be a gunfight in this chapter. So if you've seen the recent news about Nashville, then please turn away now if this is going to upset you. But if you can handle this, then go ahead and read this chapter.
A.R.G.U.S. HQ:
Inside their own cells, Prometheus, Cupid, China White, and Dark Archer sat in their cells, imprisoned. But as they heard gunfire and screams from outside, Dark Archer and Prometheus both stood up.
"It's time." They both said simultaneously.
The doors burst open, with Talia and Athena stepping into the cell block with a guard stumbling down as he backed away in fear.
"BACKUP! WE NEED BACKUP-!" The guard pleaded for reinforcements into his handheld transceiver, before being impaled by Athena's sword, dead, as she took his keys. Athena then wiped the blood from her sword before sheathing it.
Athena and Talia made their way to the cells of Prometheus, Cupid, China White, and Dark Archer, and unlocked their cells as they both handed them duffle bags of their uniforms and weapons.
"What news from Ms. Kane?" Prometheus smirked, looking up at Athena.
"Soon, the High Councilor will destroy the Insurgency. And when they're dealt with, we will kill Kara Zor-El ourselves." Athena answered.
"As much as we would love to assist, there's just one little problem concerning the matter of tiny bombs in our necks." Cupid reminded Athena.
"That situation has been taken care of, Ms. Cutter." Talia responded.
"And what of Director Waller?" China White asked, as she picked up and flipped her karambit knives.
"She's been dealt with as well." Talia answered, surprising Cupid and China White.
"You all know the plan and your assignments, yes?" Athena asked.
"Crystal clear, Athena." Prometheus answered.
"Then let's get moving, there's no time to lose. Ms. Kane is waiting and she is not... a patient woman." Talia warned.
After freeing Captain Boomerang and Derek Sampson from their cells, Talia, Athena, Dark Archer, Prometheus, China White, Cupid, Boomerang, and Sampson then left A.R.G.U.S. HQ, as they passed the dead bodies of Amanda Waller and a numerous number of A.R.G.U.S. agents.
The Quiver, Insurgency Base, Starling City:
As all the Earth Prime Heroes and the Insurgency, they all listen to what both Valor and Superman have to say.
"All evidence of Kane's evil is in this drive, and there's one that reveals that she was the true perpetrator behind the explosions in Central City and National City." Valor said, showing everyone in the room the drive that contained every footage of Batwoman's evil actions.
"And to make matters worse, Kane has manipulated Kara with Red Kryptonite. And with that, Kara will wipe out every major city in every country across the globe to show what happens to those who dare speak against the High Councilor and her Regime. Central City, Starling, Gotham, Metropolis, and New National City, will be history." Superman warned Arrow, Sentinel, Agent Liberty, the Rogues and the rest of the Insurgency, before he turned to face Alex, J'onn and the rest of the Earth Prime Heroes.
"And then she's coming after your world." He finished.
"I can't believe she'd do it. It's insane." Schott muttered in disbelief.
"We have to stop her." James said.
"Even if we do this, it's gonna be a helluva fight. Can we stop her?" Curtis asked.
"Dude, we have an army of assassins, several vigilantes, a group of revolutionists, some metahumans, a speedster, a Martian, a Kryptonian, and a Daxamite. The latter two who have defected to the Insurgency." Vibe replied sarcastically. "So as far as I can tell, we can do this."
"It doesn't anyway. We brought you here to get the Kryptonite weapon, and that plan was a success. You're going home, all of you. And then I'm destroying the inter-dimensional transporter." Arrow spoke up.
"It won't stop her from coming over." Ray commented.
"It'll buy you time to prepare." Sentinel replied, shaking her head.
"Lena and Rene died, trying. We won't dishonor any of them by just leaving." Alex argued, wanting to stay and fight back to honor Madame Steel and Wild dog, as J'onn, James, Roy, Curtis, and Winn nodded in agreement.
"We may have an alternative. We bring over our Supergirl to this Earth, and we can finish this fight." Oliver chimed in, with his allies supportive of that plan.
"No, one Supergirl in this world is enough." Arrow snapped.
"She's not like yours, Oliver. Don't let emotion cloud your judgment." Alex said, not wanting Arrow to make a decision based on emotion.
Arrow paused and pondered over Alex and Oliver's words of consideration, but before he could make a final decision, a Siren Cry blasted the wall and caused an explosion as the Regime army stormed the Quiver and began to attack the Insurgents; the army consisted of Huntress, Mr. Terrific, Vigilante, Black Siren, Derek Sampson, Cupid, Captain Boomerang, Hawkgirl, Cyborg Superman, Metallo, and Regime Soldiers, led by Batwoman.
The Insurgents and Earth Prime Heroes charged to battle the Regime while Sentinel faced Derek Sampson.
"Agent Danvers, you will learn to fear me." Sampson taunted.
"How is it that Overgirl spared you, Sampson?" Sentinel demanded.
"She recognizes and appreciates my talents." Sampson answered, as he loaded his automatic rifle.
Sampson then opens fire at Sentinel, but thanks to the wrist device that Martian Manhunter gave her years ago, the Hand of the Soldier, Sentinel morphed a shield with single thought and protected herself from the bullets. Sentinel then morphed tonfa sticks to fight Sampson, but thanks to the chemical enhancements of the Stardust drug, Sampson used his brute strength and rammed against Sentinel. But Sentinel's training and agility was no match against his charge as she manages to stop him in his tracks and knocks him down easily, but only for a moment.
"Be grateful that I am not the High Councilor and that I chose to spare you." Sentinel spoke, before she saw something that terrified her, her expression turning from shock to horror.
She saw Alex and Valor defeated as they laid on the ground unconscious, groaning, but she was mostly concerned about J'onn, who was being mercilessly beaten by Metallo and Cyborg Superman.
"NO! NOT THIS TIME! NEVER AGAIN!" Sentinel yelled as she went to help J'onn, not wanting to lose him again.
But Sampson gets back on his feet, goes behind Sentinel and restrains her. "I don't think so." He said.
"NO! LET ME GO! NO! "Sentinel yelled, struggling to break free from Sampson's hold, as she attempted to reach out to J'onn by outstretching her hand.
Cyborg Superman and Metallo both looked at each other and nodded, and they both shot energy beams, blasting J'onn as he began to receive burns from those energy beams as J'onn was unable to keep himself from screaming in pain. Sentinel and Alex, who had regained consciousness to look up as she struggled to get back up, both stared in horror as tears began glisten their eyes.
"J'onn! J'onn, get up, damn it!" Sentinel cried, not wanting to see J'onn die in front of her again, especially in front of her counterpart.
Metallo and Cyborg Superman readied their beams to fire at the barely unconscious J'onn J'onzz. Sentinel saw this however and turned to them both.
"Please stop! Please don't do this! J'onn, please get up! Please!" She pleaded, sobbing as she did not want to relive this moment again.
Metallo and Cyborg charged their beams and aimed at J'onn, about to fire-
"J'OOOONNN!"
And then, a flying object flew into the Quiver at full speed, and shot blue energy blasts at Cyborg Superman, Metallo, and Sampson, sending them flying back as J'onn was saved. The Insurgency and Regime stop fighting to see the commotion and their eyes widen in surprise, shock, and awe, even Alex and Valor were in awe to see this.
A shimmering blue light covered Sentinel, floating her up in the air as blue aura surrounded her body, looking at the object in awe while a voice began to speak.
"Alexandra Danvers of Sector 2814, for your ability to inspire others in their darkest hours and never giving up hope even in your darkest days, you have been chosen to wield the Ring of the Blue Lantern Corps. For that, you have earned the right to join our ranks. All you need to do is recite our oath." The voice said.
The Ring then slid right into her finger and wrapped around it. She then closed her hand and began to recite an oath that came to her mind all of a sudden.
"In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full, our souls ignite. When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope shines bright!"
Sentinel then grasped her hand into a fist, and aimed her high in the air as her DEO uniform transformed into a different uniform. Now there was blue covering her torso, a white circle at her chest, with a blue mask on her face; Sentinel was now... a Blue Lantern.
Sentinel floated back down to the ground as she looked at herself in awe and shock as the blue aura continued to surround her, and she stared back at Cyborg Superman, Metallo, and Sampson, while the three stared in shock as well.
Metallo and Cyborg Superman then charged and they both landed two blows on Sentinel, with a punch to the stomach from Metallo, and a hard punch right in the face from Sentinel. But Sentinel was both unfazed and undamaged from those attacks, making Metallo and Cyborg Superman realize their blunder as they stepped back in fear.
"Is that it? Is that the best you can do?" Sentinel demanded, with vicious snarl.
Cyborg Superman and Metallo then opened fire on Sentinel, firing energy beams at her while she effortlessly dodged them. All she needed to do was to strategize their moves, plan out her attack, and wait for the right moment.
Eventually, they ran out of energy and firepower, and they were exhausted. And everyone in the Quiver, both Insurgency and Regime was shocked to see that Sentinel was not injured by any of the blasts, and made them extremely unnerved. She ignored both Cyborg Superman and Metallo as she made her to J'onn, to heal his physical wounds.
As Sentinel healed J'onn with her Power Ring with a blue light beam, Sampson snuck behind her and was about to punch her from behind as a surprise strike, but Sentinel backhanded him and he was sent flying back to the wall. Once J'onn was fully healed and began to regain consciousness, she ordered Alex and Valor to keep guard over him as she made her way to Cyborg Superman and Metallo. Messing with her friends was one thing, but messing with her family... that's another story.
"Okay then, guess it's my turn." Sentinel said, powering up as she flew towards Cyborg Superman and Metallo, and uppercuts them into the air through the roof, as well as launching herself into the skies chasing after them, with Harbinger joining her.
Somewhere in the Hindu Kush Mountain Range:
At the League of Assassins' hidden city of Nanda Parbat, Talia, Red Arrow, Artemis, Athena, Dark Archer, China White all watch as the rest of the League's soldiers enter a the large boat, with the last remaining members of the League and the Thanatos Guild coming to join the fight. Nyssa and a small sect of her League viewed from a nearby shipping crate above.
Back at the Insurgency, various Insurgents battled Regime forces; Arrow, Roy, and Oliver teamed up to battle Huntress, Cupid, and Black Siren. Flash, Vibe, Frost, and Ralph battled against Captain Boomerang and H.I.V.E. soldiers. And Ray battled Hawkgirl, and Guardian battled his counterpart. And it seemed that the Insurgency was mostly gaining the upper advantage.
Sampson was then defeated by Arrow and Oliver, the former who made precise cuts on all of Sampson's tendons before the latter shot two arrows on his ankles.
"Just because you can't feel your tendons being sliced doesn't mean you don't need them!" Arrow snarled, before he and Oliver both delivered a strong punch to Sampson's face, knocking him out.
"We need to get the transporter out! If it's damaged, you'll never get back home." Arrow said to his counterpart.
"Understood." Oliver nodded. He and Arrow begin to advance to the transporter.
Sentinel and Harbinger returned to the Quiver, with Sentinel holding Cyborg Superman's faceplate in her hands and Harbinger holding a lead box that contained Metallo's kryptonite heart.
Back at Nanda Parbat, Nyssa and her small sect of the League watched as Talia, Red Arrow, Artemis, Athena, Dark Archer, China White, and Prometheus got into the perfect strike position. As they do so, Nyssa and her team listen to Talia's commands.
"Hurry up, assassins, we begin within the hour. As soon as you gather all of your weapons, converge at the end of the-!"
"SISTER!"
Nyssa and her team dropped down, much to Talia's surprise and anger.
Your entire army will stand down! They will not abet such madness on the world."
"You hold no say here anymore, sister! I am now the Head of the Demon, and you are a deserter!" Talia sneered, grabbing her sword.
"You stain the League's honor, we are to work in the shadows! Serve no one except the Head of the Demon, Ra's Al Ghul." Nyssa spat.
"After all the countless lives lost, Batwoman has shown me and Ms. Danvers the truth, Nyssa. It's that humanity's temper cannot be tempered, only quelled." Talia said, trying to show her point.
"By slaughtering the innocent?! Killing those who we care for?!" Nyssa demanded.
"Cleansing the Earth of evil and chaos, not slaughtering." Red Arrow said.
"You are a disgrace to your lineage and to the League, Talia. As she manipulates Supergirl, Kate Kane and Emiko Adachi both beguile you!" Nyssa scoffed. "I challenge you! One Assassin to another and the victorious fighter shall be the new Ra's Al Ghul and lead the League."
"And this is why I am the Head of the Demon, sister! You are too weak willed, and you are the true disgrace to your lineage." Talia snapped, as she considered Nyssa's challenge. "But very well, I accept your challenge."
"Assassins, stand down! None shall interfere in this challenge." Talia announced.
With that, Nyssa and Talia walked over, unsheathing their swords as they circled around, waiting for the other to engage in combat. Not a single noise appeared, there was only the sound of the wind blowing and the fire crackling, until finally, a rock from nearby hill fractures. That sound was enough for Nyssa and Talia to both rush each other starting the battle, each knowing each other's style, swords colliding as their moves countered and parried, while Nyssa's Assassins and the assassins loyal to Talia and the Thanatos Guild stood by and watched, showing that will not interfere in the battle unless needed.
Nyssa and Talia continued to fight but no hits were landed, rather clashes with their swords as they evenly matched.
"We are not to use the League as a private army, sister! We are to hunt and eliminate those across the world who are a threat to society. And serve the will of the Head of the Demon" Nyssa yells, clashing their swords together as they were on a deadlock.
"You dare lecture me? On the meaning of being an Ra's Al Ghul?" Talia roars, pushing Nyssa back.
"I don't seek to lecture, I seek to depose and restore!" Nyssa snapped back.
Both Nyssa and Talia square off each other as they keep ending in a stalemate, using their swords and training to attack each other.
However, thanks to what Nyssa said to Talia, she manages to knock Talia's sword out of her hand, forcing her elbow into her nose, breaking it, before finally; Nyssa neared her sword at Talia's neck, as well with Tali's sword, shocking Talia and her Assassins. Talia stood her ground well, not trying to show any emotion but her microexpressions revealed truth.
"Do you yield?" Nyssa sneered, ready to slice Talia's neck should she resist further. However, to Nyssa's surprise, and the surprise of Talia's sect of Assassins and her allies, she surrendered.
"I yield."
"Now it is time to restore what has been forgotten," Nyssa breathes heavily. She turns to Talia's assassins, who look unsure about whether they should engage or not.
Hold! Hold!" the soldiers do so, "Whilst I was removed from the League by Talia, I am still the Heir to the Demon! And I tell you now, her path is folly! We are supposed to work in the shadows and help the world's people! Lessen humanity's rages."
"Kate Kane and Emiko Adachi have both enabled one woman to inflict her rage and pain on an entire planet, but it is not too late for Kara Zor-El." Nyssa points to Red Arrow, who all turned to her. "We must extricate her from despair, rather than let her be consumed by the lies of Kate Kane."
"Soldiers, let us return to the right side of history. Let us enter battle, but as heroes, not as Assassins. We may be the League of Assassins, but we are here to save mankind" Nyssa declares, as the Assassins of both sides watch for a moment before lowering their weapons, with most of Talia's Assassins walking forward and kneeling before the new Head of the League. Nyssa nods in acceptance.
However, a small band of Assassins loyal to Red Arrow, as well as Artemis, Athena, Dark Archer, China White, and Prometheus just gave an angry look to Nyssa, Talia, and the Assassins who defected to Nyssa's side.
"Damn you all! One way or another, this will be done!" Red Arrow yelled.
"If you will not join us, then at least fight and die with some shred of honor." Nyssa warned, as her Assassins readied their swords and bows.
"YOU ARE ALL TRAITORS!" Dark Archer snarled, while his allies and followers readied their weapons.
"So be it. EXECUTE THEM!" Nyssa orders, unsheathing her sword.
Nyssa's Assassins charged to attack, but Dark Archer then threw flashbangs on the ground, temporarily blinding Nyssa's Assassins, Nyssa, and Talia as Red Arrow's team made their escape. Nyssa opened, a little disoriented while blinking as she reopened her eyes to see that Dark Archer, Red Arrow and the others were gone. She growled in frustration.
"Sister."
Nyssa turned to her sister, as she got to her knees and bowed in shame.
"I now see that I was wrong, and in my actions I have disgraced myself in betraying my honor and defiled the sacred traditions of the League. The sword was destined to be yours, and I am sorry for the pain that I've caused you, to all of you." Talia genuinely said, still on her knees. "Now kill me, if you must, and be done with it." She pleaded.
Nyssa considered for a moment before reaching a decision. "No." That made Talia look up in surprise.
Nyssa steps closer to Talia, but rather than executing her, she extended her arm to her sister.
"Instead of claiming your life, I claim your service. If we work together, then we will stop Emiko Adachi, Malcolm Merlyn, and Kate Kane, and go after those that turned against us." Nyssa announced.
"You'd extend me that honor despite my betrayals?" Talia asked, skeptical and hesitant.
"We've all made mistakes, Talia. Help us and I will offer you a seat and a place in leading the League of Assassins."
"So not one, but two women will wield Father's sword? He would be aghast." Talia considered before smiling, amused at the thought. "I accept."
Nyssa smiled back, and Talia rises back to her feet, shaking her hand with Nyssa, their sister bond renewed and the League of Assassins united once more
Meanwhile, across National City, Regime soldiers begin to attack the streets whilst Parasite is unleashed, absorbing the life force of innocents who were to get away while the High Councilor stopped the people of the city from leaving, using her heat vision to slice through the bridges, and Black Siren unleashing her Canary Cry to bring down buildings.
The Regime's army begins to attack the Children of Liberty and any Regime defectors, as they try to contain the fight on the corner of Nolan and Reeves. [1] Suddenly, out of the ground, a healed J'onn emerges, clutching Hawkgirl by the wings, the duo delivering huge strikes to each other.
Ray, Vixen, and Alex charge to assist as well.
Verdant Nightclub, the Glades:
At Arrow's former lair, the Bunker, Arrow currently does some preparations on the teleporter while Oliver watches news reports on the monitors.
"It's getting worse by the minute," Oliver says to the other one as he watches the news, "we have to get to-"
"Once I'm finished with this. You're all going home," Arrow cuts him off, not looking up. Oliver just sighed as he shook his head slowly.
"My Thea and Roy told me about what happened to this Earth's Barry, and I just want to say-"
"You don't know anything about him! Or me, for that matter, so don't you dare try to compare your pain with mine! And never speak his name!" Arrow snapped.
Oliver glared at him for this, not amused by his comment "So that's what it feels like." He mumbled, before sighing to get back on track.
"You know, I get it, I do. As much as I don't like admitting it, like you, I've planned and prepared for the day when my world's Supergirl or Superman might lose control, even if Barry lost his way. But without help, you'll die. And the Insurgency along with you!" Oliver revealed.
"Then maybe that's my fate," Arrow replied, not looking up.
"We don't believe in fate. Stop being a stubborn idiot for one second!" Oliver snapped.
Arrow tries to turn on the controls, but Oliver stops him, kicking him aside. Both Queen counterparts begin trading punches at each other, both equally matched and both trying to stop one another. After a couple of rounds and some moves...
"This is my Earth, my world, my fight!" Arrow yells, pulling his recurve bow.
"You made it ours when you brought us here." Oliver yells back, as he pulls out his compound bow.
Not willing to give up, Arrow decides to take him down as he's almost done. This, however, was not in favor of both Queens as they were both equally matched. But Oliver reminds him about the many heroes that have sacrificed themselves for the sake of the Insurgency. Unbeknownst to Arrow, Oliver has hacked one of the many weapons in the Insurgency HQ and the moment Arrow pushes him aside, he doesn't realize that the weapons, Curtis' backup T-Spheres, have been activated. And then, Arrow was shot by the T-Spheres collapsing to the ground in pain. Oliver stands up victoriously.
"If we're done here, Oliver... we're losing time," Oliver sticks out his hand, and Arrow reluctantly takes it, standing up.
"This is a mistake," He commented.
"You brought us here because you had faith. Faith we'd uphold the values you've given everything to defend. So trust us, trust yourself. Let's protect this Earth, save Kara, and end this right now." Oliver pleaded. "It's what Barry would've wanted you to do."
The room was in silence as Arrow finally gave in and accepted his counterpart's offer.
"You have no idea how to use it, do you?" Arrow smirked at Oliver.
"I was hoping you wouldn't figure that out," Oliver jokes, smirking as they both walk over to the transporter.
Arrow switches on the portal, pressing multiple buttons as the portal begins to form. Both Oliver and Arrow watch as he brings the familiar female figure who has the 'S' symbol on her chest. Oliver smiles, knowing that Kara is finally about to join them in this parallel world...
Upon arriving, Oliver gives his Kara the update on what's going on in this universe with her doppelganger, telling her the full story. Once done, Kara and Oliver check the monitor screen regarding the current situations, planning on what to do next whilst Arrow is at the back, hand on head, just pacing around whilst he's thinking of something.
Kara nods as Oliver stops talking, turning to his friend "We need to get started. Innocent people are dying."
"We'll all take the others so you can focus on their Supergirl." Oliver agrees.
"No Oliver, we have to do it together. That way, it'll prevent more casualties that way, and then we take on Supergirl." Kara shook her head.
"However... Parasite's gonna be tricky." Kara replied.
"Your powers will be drained and collateral damage will happen." Oliver nods.
"Yeah... I'll have to force that fight elsewhere" Kara agreed, before she and Oliver turned to Arrow, who was watching her weirdly. "Anything else?"
Arrow stops pacing and walks over to Kara, deciding to tell her what's on his mind "I know that this isn't entirely accurate. But it's good to have you back Kara."
In the streets of Starling City, Guardian, Curtis, the Canary Sisters, Deadshot and Agent Liberty fended off against Olsen, Vigilante, Huntress, Mr. Terrific, Black Siren and Parasite, as Black Siren continued to unleashed her Siren Cry on buildings while Speedy, Thea, Roy, the Canary Sisters, and Deathstroke even engaged in combat against Red Arrow, Athena, Dark Archer, China White, Artemis, and Prometheus.
Civilians run from the chaos as Vibe, Vixen, Alex, Frost, Ray, and Ralph helped the civilians get away from the crossfire to avoid getting injured, with the Rogues helping as well.
Standing on a nearby rooftop, Deadshot and Vigilante both fired at each other. Deadshot shoots at Vigilante, who dodged by rolling away, with his wrist-mounted guns, while Vigilante fired with his submachine gun taking cover to avoid the other's shots, until they both ran out.
"You know something, Lawton? We're the same, you and I. We kill criminals left and right without giving them a second chance. People like us are the real heroes. Queen, Supergirl, and the Flash are weak as they show mercy and let their enemies live."
"WE ARE NOT THE SAME SOBEL!" Deadshot snapped, reloading his firearm as he took cover.
"Don't be so modest, Floyd. We can use someone like you in our ranks, and in return, your criminal records will be erased and your daughter will be protected."
"Is that what you really believe? That the two of us are alike?! Then you're as delusional as Waller was in that case." Deadshot snarled at him.
"But you killed so many people in your business with Warren Patel, please don't tell me that you left that behind just to side with these criminals." Vigilante reminded.
Deadshot actually let out a humorless laugh at that.
"You know, you're right about one thing, Sobel... " He began. "I may not be a saint, and my ledger is forever filled with blood of my targets, but I at least have a code; to never, ever hurt an innocent that is caught in the crossfire, especially women or children!" He finished, aiming his wrist-mounted guns at Vigilante.
"There are no innocents in war!" Vigilante countered like a delusional madman, which he was. "I thought you were like me, but I was wrong. Well, can't reason with crazy."
Getting out of their hiding spots, both ran at the other with roars as Vigilante tried to punch but Deadshot blocked and lunges forward and knees Vigilante, right in the gut. In spite of his armor, Vigilante felt that as he staggered back while Deadshot grabbed him by the throat and with a roar, tackled them both to the ground.
Vigilante managed to push him off and got back up, kicking Deadshot away before picking him up and punching him twice on the face, making him spit out blood the second time.
Vigilante then head-butted Deadshot before pushing him away. As he marched towards the fallen mercenary, Deadshot grabbed his foot and tripped him before climbing on top of him and grabbing his mask.
Vigilante struggled but Deadshot kept punching him every now and then before finally managing to pull off his mask, revealing his face.
Vigilante tried to struggle but Deadshot grabbed his head and slammed it on the ground many times, dazing Vigilante as Deadshot punched him many times too, making him spit out blood.
Vigilante panted a few times before Deadshot noticed his wounds healing. Vigilante smirked before head-butting Deadshot and pushing him off.
He then grabbed him and threw him down before gloating. "How will you kill me?"
"With this."
Deadshot suddenly brandished a bullet, and fired that round onto the ground, causing it to ricochet off the ground and into Vigilante, and shot the said ruthless soldier in the throat, making him gasp as he fell down, coughing blood.
Deadshot knelt down beside Vigilante as he contiuned to cough up blood from his mouth.
"You like that? I knew my curare bullets wouldn't work, so I laced my rounds with this." He then showed Vigilante a bullet, but this one looked different. "It's an anti-metahuman bullet created by A.R.G.U.S. scientists, one of the benefits working in Amanda Waller's 'Suicide Squad'. This special kind of bullet has the ability to permanently remove a metahuman's powers by suppressing the dark matter in their pituitary gland, in other words; your powers won't be working for a long time." He explained.
Vigilante could only look at Deadshot with silent rage, before Deadshot stomped on his face, and shooting him blank with a headshot with another anti-metahuman bullet, this time blowing a hole, clear through his head and splattering his brains.
Deadshot could only look at Vigilante's dead body with no remorse, as he glared at it with pure hate. He may be scum, but at least he has morals and limits.
He then looked at the battlefield, various Insurgent forces battling the Regime. Deadshot sighed heavily, knowing that he wants nothing to do in this, and decides to leave before this can get ugly. He made a promise to see Zoe again, this is his second chance to be a father, and this time he is not going to mess this up.
"So long, Queen... and good luck." Deadshot said before walking away from the rooftop, away from the battlefield, leaving Vigilante's dead body on the rooftop paver.
Back on the streets, Flash, Sentinel, Harbinger, Superman, J'onn and Valor focus their fighting on A.M.A.Z.O., an android capable of observing and copying the powers and abilities of others and using it against them. The result of Batwoman's last act of destroying the Insurgency, and destroying the High Councilor. [2]
Superman and Valor charged at A.M.A.Z.O., trying to land a blow, but since A.M.A.Z.O observed and copied Flash's powers, the android phased through those attacks like it was literally nothing. Superman and Valor stared surprised before trying to deliver flurries of punches, but the android phased them again.
A.M.A.Z.O. then copied Superman and Valor's powers, and performed a powerful thunderclap that sent Flash, Sentinel, Harbinger, J'onn, even Superman and Valor, flying back before it sped off with Flash's powers.
The heroes got back up, but a little disoriented from the thunderclap.
"It copied all our powers and abilities, how is that possible?" Sentinel exclaimed.
"Through a nano-adaptive hybrid of the Mirakuru serum" A voice said from above, startling the others.
Superman, Valor, J'onn, and the others turned to see Kara float down to the ground.
"Kara? Is that you?" J'onn walked towards Kara.
"J'onn." Kara breathed in relief, happy to see her father-like figure alive and well, as she hugged J'onn.
"So Oliver and Arrow finally brought you here. It's good to see you here, Kara" J'onn said.
"Same here, J'onn."
Sentinel was relieved to see her sister, well... more like a doppelganger of her sister, but they had a job to do so there's no time for emotional reunions yet.
"Wait, Kara, what do you mean by 'Mirakuru hybrid'?" Sentinel asked.
"A.M.A.Z.O. was able to copy your powers by scanning your abilities and then it used the Mirakuru hybrid to copy them." Kara explained, with everyone understanding.
"My world's Superman and I recently battled an A.M.A.Z.O. android on our Earth, but instead of taking him down like we did on Earth Prime, I have another plan on how to stop him. But to do this, we have to work together as a team because there's no telling whose powers A.M.A.Z.O. will copy next." She continued
Everyone nodded at this.
"Alright, so here's what we're gonna do; Wally, I need you to run after A.M.A.Z.O., get his attention and lure him back here. Once that's done, you're gonna have to bring Ralph here and then you counteract A.M.A.Z.O.'s phasing while we handle the rest." Kara ordered.
"Yes, ma'am" Flash said, before speeding off to catch to A.M.A.Z.O.
"Kal, Mon-El, and J'onn, you three are with me. Once they both return, we'll knock A.M.A.Z.O down to the ground and restrain him, that way he won't be able to escape or run at the same time." She said, before turning to Sentinel and Harbinger. "Alex, Lyla, you two will have to hold A.M.A.Z.O. down through energy beams from your Lantern Rings." Sentinel and Harbinger both nodded, understanding.
As Flash chased after A.M.A.Z.O., the two sped around, racing in the streets of Starling City, from on the sides of buildings and to rooftops. Once A.M.A.Z.O. realized that Flash was behind him, he stopped and used Superman's Heat Vision to try and incinerate him but Flash dodged and avoided the Heat Vision several times before speeding off once more, this time with A.M.A.Z.O. following him, flying as he did.
Flash led A.M.A.Z.O. to a construction site, where thankfully there was no one there, and he raced to the top of the structure to lure A.M.A.Z.O. further as the android began to freeze the steel beams with Superman's cold breath. A.M.A.Z.O. then unleashed Superman's heat vision to destabilize the frozen steel beams at their weak points to try and bring down Flash, but the Speedster dodged the blasts and the steel beams fell down on A.M.A.Z.O., as well as chunks of ice from Superman's freeze breath.
Flash skidded to a halt, sped up to A.M.A.Z.O. before taking off again, as A.M.A.Z.O got back up and ran right after him.
'There you go, just a little bit further.' Flash thought, before tapping into his ears comms on the right side of his ear.
"Ralph, this is Wally. Be ready for pick up, I'm bringing you over to assist us.
"Assist? Assist with what?" Ralph asked.
"I'll explain everything along the way, just be ready." Flash said, tapping into his ears comms again.
"We're almost there, company ready?!" He asked.
"Yes!" Supergirl, Superman, Valor, and J'onn said in response, as they walked down an empty street.
"Alright, steady, steady..." Flash said, running to them as A.M.A.Z.O. trailed behind him, with Supergirl, Superman, Valor, and J'onn readied themselves.
"Steady... NOW!" Flash yelled, speeding past Supergirl, Superman, Valor, and J'onn to bring Ralph.
Kara raised her fist and landed a blow on A.M.A.Z.O.'s face, sending the android down to the sidewalk.
As A.M.A.Z.O tried to get back up, Sentinel and Harbinger used their Power Rings to wrap A.M.A.Z.O.'s legs with energy tether/lasso constructs while Kara and Valor then threw their capes around A.M.A.Z.O's arms and wrapped them, holding him down while Superman took off, high in the sky.
Flash then returned, bringing Ralph with him to where the others were restraining A.M.A.Z.O, and he quickly sped to the others to assist in holding down the android, wrapping it in a chokehold and counteracting its phasing by phasing himself.
Kara then used her cold breath to freeze A.M.A.Z.O's waistline into cold ice.
A.M.A.Z.O. was about unleash heat vision before his eyes were bashed in, by Guardian and Agent Liberty's shields, who both slammed it down his face, smashing it. Guardian and Agent Liberty then removed their shields and got out of the way quick enough for Superman to swoop down from the sky and strike the android to the ground, ripping it into two halves.
"Ralph, hurry, like we discussed!" Flash ordered Ralph.
"On it!"
Ralph then extended himself and went into A.M.A.Z.O.'s body, and then elongated himself in the inside, enlarging himself and the android, destroying it in the process as robotic parts flew across the floor.
Flash approached A.M.A.Z.O.'s head and then phased his hand into it before removing a circuit board.
"A.M.A.Z.O.'s motherboard." He said, before vibrating his hand and crushing the motherboard.
"Well... what do we do with all of these robotic parts now?" Ralph asked.
"We destroy them." Supergirl said, unleashing her heat vision on A.M.A.Z.O.'s body parts, as did Valor and Superman, while the others destroyed other parts of the android.
"All right, A.M.A.Z.O.'s been taken care of, but we're not yet finished. We have our assignments. Let's go!" Kara announced.
Superman, Valor, J'onn, Sentinel, and Harbinger took off flying to the skies, and Flash sped off with Ralph in tow, while Kara stayed behind.
"I wouldn't do it if I were you." She said before turning around to see Olsen, who just stood frozen, trying to process everything going on around him.
"Here's your chance to do what is right, James," Kara spoke softly, "I'd suggest you take it."
Olsen thinks for a moment and sighs as he ultimately decides to give up, removing his helmet and passing it and his shield to Kara, who crushes it with her hands. He then surrendered himself to Agent Liberty and Guardian, who both restrained him and took him away.
Kara looked at Olsen with sympathy before taking off to National City.
Speedy and White Canary battled Athena and Dark Archer, fencing with their weapons.
Speedy and Dark Archer were seemingly matched as they engaged in a swordfight, until Dark Archer cut Speedy across her chest as she gasped in pain.
"It seems that I have trained you very well, Thea, your brother included. But everything you know, was all from me thanks to my years in the League and from my brief time as Ra's Al Ghul. You have no chance of defeating me." Dark Archer mocked.
"Less talking, more fighting!" Speedy snarled, charging towards her 'father', as Dark Archer did the same.
Dark Archer may have had the upper advantage, but Speedy had more training from Katana and Nyssa to make her formidable swordswoman. She then headbutted Dark Archer in the face, and cut both of his hands off.
Dark Archer cried out in pain as his hands fell to the ground. He then fell to his knees, paling as he stared at the stumps that were once his hands as Speedy lowered her sword. Speedy pondered if she should kill Dark Archer, her biological father, or spare him as she pointed her sword near his neck. Dark Archer was beaten, but his hands were sliced off and he could not beat Speedy without a hand.
She then thinks to back to something that both Arrow and Deathstroke told her years ago.
'The greatest dishonor in battle is killing an unarmed enemy, whether they be injured, unprepared, or incapacitated.' Arrow's voice said in her head.
Speedy stands above Dark Archer for a moment, before lowering her sword
"You may be my biological father, but my real father is Robert Queen." Speedy declared, making Dark Archer look up at her. "Despite my inner consciousness and every part of my body telling me to do it, I'm not going to kill you. But I'm not going to save you either." She finished with a glare, before she knocked Dark Archer out cold, striking him with the pommel of her sword.
White Canary blocked Athena's blade with her batons as they both fought, with White Canary landing a roundhouse kick on Athena's face, making her stagger as she held her face while laughing.
"I always knew you were weak, Ta-er al-Sahfer. In your time with the League, you weakened and distracted Nyssa from her training with your feminine wiles, as if you were some woman found in the streets." Athena sneered.
"If you're trying to call me a bitch, then you already know that I really don't like that word at all!" White Canary hissed.
White Canary then lunged at Athena, exchanging baton and sword strikes. Athena dodges various slashes before pushing Bruce back, sending her stumbling back before their weapons crossed, trying to push each other back. White Canary slashed Athena in the abdomen, making her gulp in pain before turning around with vicious smile
"Yes, that's it! This the Assassin that Ra's Al Ghul trained, this is who you are, Ta-er al-Sahfer!" Athena gloated
White Canary glared before they resumed their duel. Athena pushed White Canary back, sending her stumbling back before their weapons crossed, trying to push each other back. White Canary ducked as Athena aimed at her head before White Canary kicked Athena, staggering back at the attack.
Athena charged again, attacking before White Canary dodged and broke the blade of her sword. White Canary then slammed Athena to the ground, her baton to Athena's neck.
"Finish it." Athena urged, as White Canary stared. "Do it! KILL ME!"
"No! God knows I want to, but you will not destroy who I truly am! My name is Sara Lance, and I am the White Canary, and I will NOT lower myself to your standards!" White Canary declared, knocking Athena out cold with a hard strike to her face with her baton.
"I won't kill you, but I won't save you either. I shall let Nyssa decide your fate." She finished, lowering her baton.
Deathstoke currently battles Prometheus as they clash their swords in deadlock, seemingly matched.
"Without the Miakuru in your blood, Mr. Wilson, you are weak and pathetic. Where is the real Deathstroke that sought vengeance against Oliver Queen? The one who sought to avenge his love, Shado?" Prometheus gloated, taunting Deathstroke into dropping his guard, however Deathstroke was only enraged and not easily manipulated in letting his past get the best of him.
"My strength is more than my vengeance, Chase!" Deathstroke shouted as he pushed Prometheus back and slammed his blade through Prometheus' left shoulder, drawing blood as he screamed in pain.
"Second, the Mirakuru was a crutch and a poison that turned me into a monster of rage and it nearly destroyed me, had the kid not saved me." Deathstroke continued, as he kicked Prometheus in the chest, staggering him back.
Enraged at being almost beaten and his taunts not succeeding, Prometheus foolishly rushed at Deathstroke, attempting to impale him before Deathstroke dodged Prometheus's attack and impaled his chest with his sword. Deathstroke then yanked his sword out as Prometheus coughed up blood.
"And lastly, NEVER SPEAK HER NAME!" He yelled, before wiping Prometheus' blood off his blade and sheathing it away. Deathstroke inhaled a deep breath before exhaling, knowing that Prometheus has been killed and Earth Prime is spared of his madness, but the lasting damage that his counterpart left in this world is permanently scarred and there is no reversing it.
Roy battled Artemis, the two exchanging blows and matching as neither were able to land a hit.
"I've wondered if Oliver told you about what happened to your counterpart." Artemis taunted, with Roy growling in response.
Artemis may be skilled and athletic due to her time as a former gymnast, but Roy was more skilled due to his natural athletic and acrobatic abilities and former lifestyle, and his reflexes were sharp enough to overpower Artemis.
"I know what happened to my counterpart, but I will not let that affect me in any way." Roy said, approaching Artemis as she was on her knees.
"Well it should!" Artemis sneered at Roy, as he stood over her.
"Whatever Kane and Emiko said to you, they are nothing but cruel deceptions. Kane is the true person behind National City and Central City five years ago, she and Emiko are the true architects of the Regime." Roy revealed, much to the shock of Artemis.
"But... No, Lex and Chase were behind what happened." She denied, shaking her head in denial.
"Kane supplied the warheads to those bastards, all part of her plan to destroy the Justice League to destroy Batman's legacy. And by taking her place as an advisor to the High Councilor, she doses her with Red Kryptonite, a sythentic version of Kryptonite that not fuels Kara's negative emotions, it puts the Insurgency and the Regime into conflict with casualties. And the more Kane doses Kara with Red Kryptonite-"
"It also slowly destroys her body, killing her in the process." Artemis finished, with realization and betrayal.
Roy offers his hand, and Artemis takes it as she stands to her feet. She looks to see Deathstroke looking over Prometheus' dead body as she was still distraught by what was revealed to her.
"This wasn't what I ever wanted. I am so sorry." Artemis stammered, feeling true remorse.
"If you want to make things right, then you start by stopping this blame game of yours and ending the blame of others for your pain. If you want to make up for your mistakes, if you want to redeem yourself, then you fight to earn it. Otherwise, stay down and let us do the rest." Roy sternly said, as he walked off to assist the Insurgency, leaving Artemis to think and look back on her actions as she bowed her head in shame and considered Roy's words.
Thea battled Red Arrow, as she blocked Red Arrow's sword with her bow.
"Roy took the blade that was meant for your counterpart, and he died trying to protect her as she laid there and watched as I removed my blade from him. So tell me, Thea, how did it make you feel when you learnt of his death, when she cradled his body in her arms?" Red Arrow taunted, beginning to enrage Thea.
"Fuck you!" Thea growled. [3]
"You know, I already killed one Roy Harper. So once I defeat you, I'll go after Oliver, Laurel, Sara, William, and then your Roy, and you will watch those you love die right in front of you, one by one; beginning with your brother, just like how you both saw your mother die right in front of you." Red Arrow goaded as she smiled sadistically.
That seemed to piss Thea off very much, and with a roar, she pushed Red Arrow back and unsheathed her sword as Thea began to overpower her with a series of slashes from her sword as Red Arrow blocked her ferocious onslaught, as Red Arrow began to feel overwhelmed.
Thea then disarmed Red Arrow of her sword, and foot swept her feet from under her, putting her down to the floor.
"Don't get up!" Thea snarled, nearing her sword and Red Arrow's sword near her neck, with the latter growling at her. "If you EVER come near my family, then the next time we fight I will show no mercy!" She warned.
Thea then dropped Red Arrow's sword and went to help Black Canary, while Red Arrow just gave Thea a hateful glare.
Black Canary was engaged in combat against China White, as she blocked the strikes of China White's karambit knives with her tonfa stick, and this proved to be a challenge for the former. And despite the training she's received over the years from Arrow, White Canary, Nyssa, Katana, and her late mentor, Ted Grant/Wildcat, she was eventually overpowered by the deadly assassin. However, Thea threw a flechette at China White, disarming one of her karambit knives from her hand.
China White turns to see Thea and attacks her, the latter who punches the former in the face and grabs her. China White then breaks free and attempts to slash Thea with her karambit knives, but Thea evades the attacks.
As Thea parried China White's knives with her sword, Black Canary got back up and kicked China White from behind.
Black Canary then turned to Thea, who turned to her in return, and shared a knowing look as they both exchanged nods.
China White kicks at Thea and then slashes at Black Canary, but she dodges and then strikes at him. Thea and Black Canary each hit her in the face, as the former delivered a spinning kick before the latter unleashed a sonic cry from her device, the Canary Cry, disorienting China White before Thea delivered a hard punch to her face, knocking her down.
Black Canary and Thea panted as they caught their breaths.
"Nice moves." Black Canary complimented.
"Thanks" Thea responded, as she and Black Canary gave each other a fist-bump.
An arrow is then shot at Thea, striking her in the leg as she yelled in pain and fell over, clutching her injury.
"Thea!"
Thea and Black Canary turned to see Red Arrow, who shot the arrow, as she went towards them.
Black Canary angrily growled and rushed to Red Arrow, ready to strike at her before she was tackled by Black Siren and Huntress.
White Canary and Roy both saw this, they both turned and nodded and ran to help their allies; Roy ran to help Thea, while White Canary ran to help Black Canary.
Red Arrow prepared to swing her sword at Thea, planning to kill her, as she was frozen in terror and injured.
"THEA!"
Roy was able to push Thea out of the way right before Red Arrow swung her sword down. With a mighty slice, the sword strikes down, and it cuts Roy's left arm clean off. Roy stumbles and falls over, screaming in pain as blood spatters on his and Thea's faces.
"ROY! NO!" Thea cried, cradling her boyfriend.
Before Red Arrow could swing her sword again, Speedy arrived and came to Thea's aid and blocked Red Arrow's blow with her sword.
"So this is the second time I did this Roy, right? Only this time after I kill you, I'll kill him and your counterpart, and then your brother." Red Arrow sneered, enraging Speedy as the two were wrapped in a deadlock.
With a feral roar, Speedy pushes Red Arrow back and furiously unleashes a vicious attack on her, as the latter tries to dodge Speedy's ferocious attack. With horrifying memories of Arsenal's death coming to surface once more, Speedy landed multiple successive hits on Red Arrow, and then, Speedy sliced Red Arrow's neck with her sword, shocking Red Arrow as she held her bleeding throat, gagging. She then extended her arm to Speedy.
"Wait, Thea!" She pleaded. "Sister, please! Mercy!"
"You're begging for mercy?! You killed my father! Killed Roy! And you have the audacity to beg... FOR MERCY?!" Speedy demanded, glowering at Red Arrow "At least face your death with some honor, sister!" She spat, with the word 'sister' hissed venomously.
Speedy glared at Red Arrow with a hateful look, before finally slicing her head clean off with her sword, as Red Arrow's headless body fell down afterwards and rolled away, blood spilling.
Speedy wiped the blood off her sword and then sheathed it, breathing heavily and closing her eyes as she felt some sort of satisfaction. Speedy turned to see the apparitions of her parents and Arsenal, nodding at her, and she nodded back, smiling for the first time in years.
As White Canary engaged Black Siren in combat, Siren barely dodged White Canary's attempts at striking her with her batons, as she had to bend backwards to do so. However, White Canary swept her feet out from under her with a well-placed kick, and Black Siren fell to the floor as White Canary pointed her baton downward to Black Siren's throat.
"Murderer!" White Canary snarled venomously, glaring at Black Siren. "You took him from us. YOU MURDERED MY FATHER!" She roared.
"He was a traitor to the cause, as are you and your sister!" Black Siren snarled. "That being said, Vinny, Kane and Emiko were right; they always knew your efforts were going to be for a lost cause. As were Felicity's and that Luthor bitch!" She smiled sadistically, angering White Canary.
With a roar, White Canary then attempted to strike down Black Siren, but the Siren dodged the blow and charged at Black Siren once more. Black Siren attempted to unleash her Siren Cry but to her shock, nothing happened.
"You like my new toy?" White Canary asked as she showed the device off, it was a bracelet. "Vibe made it based on the device I used when I was the first Canary. Not only is it more powerful and focused, it puts out a pulse that cancels out your Canary Cry." She said.
Black Siren angrily charged at White Canary and swung her bo-staff, but White Canary parries her attacks with her batons and dodges her moves. Black Siren tries to flank White Canary, but she deflects and parries her staff attacks with her batons. As Black Siren staggers forward, White Canary knees her in the face, knocking off her mask.
The assault continues for a few moments until White Canary disarmed Black Siren of her bo-staff and struck at her larynx, making Siren hold her own throat with her hands as she tried to gasp for air.
White Canary then grabbed Siren's staff and trapped her neck under it in a chokehold, then took her staff with both hands and wrenched it downward.
"You betrayed my brother-in-law, you attacked us, and then you took my father from me, from Laurel, from all of us!" White Canary snarled into Black Siren's ear, as she struggled to breathe, falling to her knees. "You've dishonored our mantles and shamed my name, and this is what you left behind, a wave of destruction, death, violence, oppression and chaos behind. But no more! This is for Roy, Felicity, Ray, J'onn, Lena and for my father!" She sneered.
With that, White Canary twisted Black Siren's neck, snapping it as a sickening crack was heard. White Canary dropped her body to the floor, dead, getting back on her feet while breathing heavily as she stared down at Black Siren's body.
Black Canary and Huntress were fighting until they saw the whole thing go down, and Black Canary used that distraction as an opportunity to headbutt Huntress, square in the nose, and kick her back.
Huntress held her nose as she staggered back, and was tackled by White Canary who pinned her to the ground with her batons, along with a glare.
"Try to get up, and a broken nose will be the least of your worries!" She sneered, threatening to kill Huntress.
Black Canary saw this and waited in anticipation on the outcome.
Huntress gave White Canary a murderous glare, but relented. "Very well, I yield." She sighed.
"You made the right decision, Helena." Black Canary said.
"Why would you spare me?" Huntress asked.
"Because Ollie wanted you to hear us out." Black Canary answered.
"What's there to listen to? Another reason to continue this dance?" Huntress scoffed. "I mean, your sister was ready to kill me and now you two want to help me again?" She demanded, amused.
"Helena, all we're asking you is to think about what you're doing. Suppose you kill Oliver and take us down, and then what? What happens next? You may believe right now that it will make you feel better but in the end, you'll only realize that you'll be alone, with all that darkness inside of you and it's going to eat you up from the inside." Black Canary said. "Helena, I know you believe that you're trying to bring peace, but I saw in your eyes that your heart was not in the battle. You fight for the High Councilor's 'vision' for peace, but you already know that this path is wrong, and no peace is worth earning by enforcing the world with an iron fist."
Huntress' glare softened at those words as she looked down in shame and regret.
"You think yourself a murderer but it's not all you are." White Canary pointed out. "That darkness that you think you have… it doesn't have to define you."
"What makes you think that's true?" Huntress softly asked.
"Because we have people that support and care for us, and they've pulled us back from that edge. Ollie believes that you can be redeemed, and he's not ready to give up on you yet. Don't make us regret this, especially Sara." Black Canary finished, as she and White Canary left.
Huntress just stared at the Canary Sisters, contemplating what they both said as they left her alone.
Speedy then went to Thea and Roy, the former who held the latter as he fell unconscious from the blood loss and pain.
"We have to get back to get him back to the Quiver. He needs medical attention ASAP." Thea said.
"No, the Quiver's already compromised, and Caitlin, Alex, and Sentinel are currently busy fighting the Regime's heavy muscle." Speedy said.
"Well what do we do?!" Thea snapped, panicking.
"Let us handle it." Two voices both said from above, making Thea and Speedy look up to see Sentinel and Harbinger in the sky, still in their respective Lantern uniforms.
"Alex, Lyla! Are you two saying there's a way to heal him?" Thea asked.
Sentinel and Harbinger both nodded in response.
"The Power Rings of the Blue Lantern Corps have exhibited powerful healing abilities, Thea. They not only heal wounds, but they also have the ability to do basic cellular regeneration and can do more. Saint Walker, the founder of the Blue Lantern Corps and the first Blue Lantern, has done something like this before." Sentinel explained.
"And that's where we come in." Harbinger finished, as Sentinel charged her Power Ring and knelt down, next to Roy and Thea.
"Pass him to me" Sentinel requested, and Thea did what she said. Sentinel lays Roy down and heals him with her Power Ring with a blue light beam. Roy groaned and held Thea's hand as his left arm began to regenerate. Roy's left arm was then fully restored as he began to wake up, regaining consciousness.
"Is he going to be okay?" Thea asked.
"Didn't you hear them both? It works." Roy said, softly, his throat sore and raspy as if he'd been sick.
"Roy!" Thea gasped, pulling him close to her as she kissed him. With Speedy sighing in relief, and both Sentinel and Harbinger.
"Hey, Thea." Roy greeted his girlfriend before turning to the others. "Speedy, Sentinel, Lyla." He said.
"Good to see you're okay, Roy." Harbinger said.
"Thanks, Lyla." Roy thanks. He then tries to rise fully, even though he's still groggy. "We have to stop the others."
Thea stops him. "They can wait. Right now we need to get you and the others back to Ollie and the others." She puts a hand on Roy's shoulder, and stops arguing as they both share smiles at one another.
"If I may, Thea..." Sentinel began. "I wish to heal your leg as well, if that's no problem." She offered.
"Be my guest, Sentinel." Thea said.
Sentinel then slowly pulls the arrow out of Thea's leg, while Thea holds back a wince of pain. Once the arrow was safely removed from Thea's leg, Sentinel begins to heal Thea with her Power Ring with a blue light beam, the wound begins to close and the leg stops dripping blood.
"That felt amazing, thanks Sentinel." Thea breathed out.
"No thanks needed, Thea."
They then heard a sonic boom as they looked up to the sky to see a figure flying past them, and their faces turned to hopeful ones as they smiled. It was Kara!
"Go get them, Kara." Sentinel smiled.
In the streets of National City, Regime soldiers and what's left of Red Arrow's Assassins march down the streets, with an unmasked Batwoman leading them. The ground suddenly shakes as Kara lands in front of them, making a massive crater on the floor as most of the soldiers fall down. Batwoman and her Assassins were staggered for a moment before maintaining their ground.
"Are you ready for this, Supergirl? Are you ready to take on the might of the League of Assassins?" Batwoman roared at the counterpart of her 'love'.
"Yes, Batwoman. Yes we are." Kara nods.
By cue, the League of Assassins appear on top of a nearby rooftop, their flaming arrows aiming at the One Earth Army. Nyssa, and Talia, stand on the edge of a building with the army, and then give the signal. The League begins to attack them, firing their arrows on the army below.
The Regime's army shield themselves with their armor, which blocks most of the arrows, although some penetrate their armor. Batwoman quickly uses her cape to shield herself and uses it to block the arrows as she pulls out her handgun. With another battle cry by Nyssa, the League's warriors charge and fight the Regime's army.
This causes Batwoman to attack Kara as they engage in a fight.
"You're not wanted here, Kryptonian!" Batwoman yells..
"Maybe not, but I'm clearly needed here." Kara responded.
Batwoman then shook her head, evilly laughing.
"I saw him die, Kara. How your doppelganger killed her fiancee and set off the trigger for the bombs, destroying National City and Central City. I'll enjoy delivering you to her, in a body bag, and then I'll kill her! Like how I am going to kill you right here and now." Batwoman sadistically taunted.
Kara just fumed at Batwoman, grabbing her by the outfit and taking the fight up to a nearby rooftop, and then Kara and Batwoman square off.
Batwoman may follow the High Councilor's Regime but she has studied most of her High Councilor's weaknesses and weak points and she is not planning on losing to Earth Prime Kara, whatever the outcome. Par to par, both refuse to give up due to their own ideals and despite the pain, Batwoman was enhanced with 5-U-93-R and more skilled than Kara.
However, after learning from Oliver and Arrow that Batwoman was the one responsible for five years ago, Kara allows herself to let the anger out on Batwoman. But unlike her counterpart, Kara does not allow anger or vengeance to dictate her fighting techniques, and not before long, Kara punched Batwoman out cold.
"And that... was for everyone you killed in this world, for my family and friends, J'onn, Lena, and Barry." Kara panted out, her anger finally let go.
Kara flies down back to street level, heading over to see Alex, who was watching the Regime soldiers run away from the League and Children of Liberty.
"Kara, we've broken their ranks. They're retreating." Alex greets her sister.
"Good work, Alex. Once they've pushed back, we'll need help with rescue and recovery." Kara nodded, looking around as she viewed the collateral damage around them
"I'll break off a small squad as soon as possible." Alex nodded.
"Thanks, sis. You know, you always make it look easy."
"Let's get through this first. Then tell me how easy it looked." Alex chuckled, and smiled playfully at Kara, who smiled back and nodded before returning at the task at hand.
"We'll need to-"
Before Kara can finish her sentence, she was suddenly hit by a lorry that was tossed onto her, catching both of them off guard. This causes Kara to crash through the building, leaving large hole in the skyscraper. She hits the floor, the lorry landing on top of her. The culprit who tossed the truck at Kara roars and crashes down next to her, denting the ground as it turns out to be the Regime's Parasite, who is under their control.
Parasite pulls the lorry away, grabbing the dazed Kara. He goes to kill her but Kara manages to regain consciousness just in time, shooting him with a huge burst of her heat vision. Then, they both square off, causing damage to large city blocks as Kara desperately tries to take the monster away from the civilian population.
After a couple of rounds, Kara finally manages to move the fight away from the city, punching Kara into the sky. She flies after him, punching him further and further away. As Parasite starts to fall, Kara tackles him in the air, carrying him above the sky all whilst Parasite tries to beat her up, punching her back repeatedly.
In the end, Kara is able to send both of them into the Fortress of Solitude, crashing inside the building. Soon, after groggily standing, the both of them get back on their feet, squaring off at each other again.
"Your power is so... real, so... fascinating. We will devour it!" Parasite roars, his voice deep and monstrous.
"Sorry to break it to you, Rudy, but my powers are not tonight's menu." Kara snarks, smirking. Unknownst to Kara, it seems that Parasite's mind control collar was broken due to the duos fight, accidentally destroying the control panel that was controlling him.
Parasite, furious at being mind-controlled, decides to kill Kara before going after the High Councilor. However, Kara uses all of her might and strategic mind to take down Parasite, while trying to avoid any power absorption from him, while unknowing that Overgirl was watching their battle from a distance.
In the end, Kara encases Parasite in frozen ice, freezing the beast in his path.
"Sorry, Parasite, there will be no dinner nor dessert for you tonight!" Kara says before seeing Parasite beginning to break free of the ice.
"Oh no, you don't!"
Kara sped to Parasite's frozen body and tossed him through the Phantom Zone projector, Kara almost collapsed from exhaustion and from little bit of power absorption from Parasite, but remained on her feet as she caught her breath. She then pulled out an object that glowed yellow, a yellow sun grenade.
She then pulls the pin and takes in the yellow sun radiation, as it disperses around her. Kara then straightens herself up as she sees her counterpart above, hovering down.
"I knew they'd pull you over eventually, you don't belong here!"
"My obligations don't end at the borders of my dimension," Kara replies, hands on hips in her classic pose, glaring at the Regime Kara.
"I am this world's savior! I protect it!" Overgirl snaps, landing on the floor with a loud thud.
"Is that what's happening out there?! Protection?!" Kara demanded, looking at the High Councilor in surprise.
"Disobedient children will be punished." Overgirl clarified.
"Children? We're not gods. We don't decide who lives and who dies." Kara inquired.
"The decision is mine! It became mine when Chase and Lex turned me into a weapon of mass destruction!" Overgirl sneered.
"I know what you've lost." Kara assured her.
"And you judge me?" Overgirl now said. "After I kill you, I'll bring your Barry here, make him mine, and he will by my side forever. So when he sees this world I've perfected this world, he'll-"
"He'll be afraid and disgusted." Kara told her doppelganger just what Allen would've thought of this world.
"But he'll be alive!"
"Barry's death doesn't justify-"
"They stole him from me!"
"And you stole this planet's freedom!" Kara retorted. "Its time to give it back."
With that, the High Councilor tried to attack, only for Kara to dodge and give her a combo of three punches before hitting her so hard she crashed down to the ground.
The High Councilor got back up to attack, only for Kara to strike him with Heat Vision, staggering him back, then hit him with Freeze Breath too, as he grunted.
Some of the building behind was destroyed too, only for the High Councilor to counter with her own Heat Vision as Kara staggered back in some pain.
"I'll rip you apart!" Overgirl roared as she flew at Kara and grabbed her by the face, and punched her twice, but Kara blocked the next one and kicked High Councilor's abdomen, making her stagger back, before grabbing her arm and hurling her to the other side, managing to avoid any building still, while the High Councilor recovered in mid-air and glared at Kara.
She charged with another roar as Kara dodged her strike, then gave her another combo of five full punches to the face and abdomen, then spin kicked her on the chin, sending her flying up, the shockwave from it shattering the tops of many buildings as almost everyone fell down, and then, Kara grabbed the High Councilor by the cape, twirling her around and hurling him away into the sky.
The High Councilor managed to recover, only to be hit by Heat Vision that made her roar in pain, and then Kara rammed into her chest, making her fall down onto the ground, breaking a good portion of it.
As Kara landed near her, the High Councilor grabbed her foot and tripped her, breaking the ground underneath too, then lifted her by the foot, slamming her down on the ground twice, before trying to do it again, but Kara freed her foot and kicked the High Councilor on the face and throat, making her stagger back from the blows while Kara rolled around and fired Heat Vision.
The High Councilor fired her own Heat Vision back to counter as the two clashed, about to cause a small explosion. However, Kara struck at the High Councilor's feet, making her fall down before Kara was upon him, and punched him hard on the face thrice, causing a shockwave with each punch which broke stuff nearby, and also the ground underneath the High Councilor, that had become a crater now, and then Kara hit her with Heat Vision on the face, before punching her one last time.
Then, she stood up, looking down at the High Councilor. "Your reign is over." She walked towards her, only for High Councilor to fire her Heat Vision, which Kara blocked by raising her hand, and then fired her own back, managing to overpower the High Councilor this time as she was hit in the eyes, making her grasp those in pain now.
With that, Kara rammed into the High Councilor, flying them back to where the battle was now ending in the Justice League and Insurgency's favor, and ramming him into the building, punching her thrice. The High Councilor barely blocked the next blow but was hurled to the other side, rolling away, while Kara was upon him.
Grabbing her by the collar, Kara punched her again, and said. "You won't terrorize these people anymore, and never again will you be corrupted by Red Kryptonite."
Kara then held the High Councilor, restraining her as she struggled to break free, as a breach opened; with Arrow, Sentinel, J'onn, Vibe, Flash, Superman, and Valor arriving as they stepped out of the portal. Valor, J'onn, and Superman assisting Kara in restraining the High Councilor while Arrow shot an arrow laced with Red Sun to null her powers and Sentinel shot her sister with her signature firearm, with a red beam coming out of the weapon and hitting the High Councilor who screamed in pain before falling down.
Superman caught his cousin, who passed out while a red mist came out of her before being vaporized. Sentinel then began to heal the unconscious High Councilor with her Power Ring while she, Arrow, and the others exchanged concerned looks about what would happen next, because the injuries that the High Councilor had inadvertently given people would be healed, but her guilty conscience wouldn't.
Yep, so much has happened here. From Sentinel accepting the Ring of the Blue Lantern Corps, Roy losing his left arm, the arrival of Earth Prime Superman, etc. Only one more chapter, the epilogue and two credit scenes, and then we're done with this fic.
I've been so caught up in personal stuff and school lately, but I was able to get this done as much as I could.

[2] Batwoman kidnapped Ivo and forced him to A.M.A.Z.O. in the event the time was right to kill the High Councilor. Once Ivo finished building A.M.A.Z.O., Batwoman killed him and kept the android in secret, waiting for the day to use it.
