"Alright class, we have a new student joining us. He was training outside the village and now he's here to join our class. Please welcome, Naruto Uzumaki." Iruka said. Naruto walked in a bow.
Mizuki glared at the blonde, which didn't go unnoticed by Naruto.
"Greetings, My name is Naruto Uzumaki. Hope we can get along." Naruto introduced.
"Now if anyone has any question for Naruto, ask now." Iruka said.
"I have a question, why the hell do you get to skip ahead in our class." Kiba asked. All the other students nodded in agreement.
"Well, it's the Hokage choice but I did have training and since I'm around the same age as you, I guess it would make sense." Naruto answered.
"What's your favorite food?" Choji asked.
"Definitely Ramen." Naruto said.
"Are you strong?" Sasuke asked, narrowing his eyes at Naruto.
Naruto saw this and smirked. "Who knows?" Sasuke saw the look in his eyes. The blonde was a mystery but one thing for sure was that Naruto was hiding something. Naruto walked to the back and took a seat next to Shino. He nodded to the bug user and was returned. 'Now let's see what we are dealing with.' Naruto thought as he analyzed his peers' chakra levels. All the girls were low genin except for the blonde with the pony-tail who was high genin and the Hyuga who was low chunin. The boys ranged from mid genin to low chunin. The Uchiha was the highest at low chunin alongside the Aburame and the Nara. 'wait, the Aburame is suppressing his chakra. He's probably the strongest next to the Uchiha.'
"They're all weaklings. None are close to your strength, not even the teachers. You don't have to be modest, you did train with your mom for 9 years, with the last 2 killing each other." Kuruma commented. "And watch out for the silver haired chunin. I can feel his hatred for a mile away."
Naruto nodded and started to pay attention to the class. It was going to be a long day. "Ok, today we are going to measure our new student's skill to see how far he is compared to the rest of you." Iruka said, turning to Naruto. "Naruto, I'm going to have you do the kauai throw, taijutsu and a few tests." Naruto nodded and the students followed their instructor to the academy training field. Naruto went behind a line and stood in front of a target post. Mizuki gave him 10 kunai with a fake smile.
"Here you go Uzumaki-san." Naruto grabbed them and narrowed his eyes on his supposed sensei. "Is there a problem?" Mizuki asked.
"Do you honestly expect me to pass using these? These kunai are unbalanced and rigid. Do all the academy students use these?" Naruto asked. Mizuki flinched. 'How did the demon notice?'
"What are you talking about? It must be your imagination." Mizuki said in a nice tone.
Naruto sighs. "Neko, I know you are there." Everyone was confused until said anbu appeared before Naruto.
"Hey Naruto-kun, how long did you know I was there?"
"Since I left jiji office. Anyway, can you inspect this for me? I believe Mizuki was trying to sabotage me because of that." Naruto said, surprising Iruka and Mizuki realizing Naruto knew about the kyuubi.
"Of course." She took all ten Kunai and inspected them. "If it was just one kunai, we could've played it off as an accident but the fact that all ten are dysfunctional means it was attentional." Neko said before disappearing and reappearing behind Mizuki knocking him out. "I'll take him to Hokage-sama and Naruto-kun. Welcome back."
Naruto nodded and took out his own kunai before turning to Iruka. "I'm ready, sensei. And sorry about the intrusion."
"It's fine, on my mark." Iruka said, as Naruto prepared himself. "Go!" in a blink of an eye. All ten kunai were in the center of the target. Iruka was shocked. "A perfect score, speed and accuracy." The class was quiet and amazed by the new student.
"What's next sensei?" Naruto asked.
"Taijutsu, so why won't you approach the ring and I'll find you an opponent."
"No need, who's the best student?" Naruto asked.
"That would be me." Sasuke answered, stepping forward.
"Sweet! Iruka, may I fight him?" Naruto asked eagerly.
"Um, sure. Sasuke, may you come here?" Sasuke nodded. Sasuke stepped forward, eyeing the new challenger. Naruto walked in the circle with his hands in his pockets. "Are you both ready?" the boys nodded. "Begin!"
Sasuke got into his interceptor stance, while Naruto had his hands in his pockets. Sasuke charged the blonde and threw a kick towards Naruto's head. Naruto bent back slightly, dodging the kick with Sasuke's foot centimeters from his face. Sasuke threw a punch but Naruto caught it with his palm. Sasuke went for a sweep but Naruto flipped over his fellow future genin. "Are you going to try and attack me?"
"I was taught to know your opponent and use what's only necessary. I was analyzing you strength and speed, alongside your style. I have to say you're quite strong for an academy student." Naruto said walking to the edge of the ring. "But I think it's quite sad that you're the rookie of the year and this is all you can do." Sasuke glared at the blonde and charged him, forgetting that Naruto was on the edge of the ring. Sasuke threw a punch towards naruto but Naruto grabbed his arm and spun him and Sasuke around, switching position and kicked Sasuke in the stomach, out of the ring.
"Sasuke landed out the ring, the winner is Naruto." Iruka announced
"No way! Sasuke-kun lost." Sakura and Ino called.
"It must've been luck, Sasuke is the rookie of the year.* Kiba added.
Naruto shrugged as he walked in line with the other students, who were eyeing him. Sasuke got up and went back to his spot. He turned to Naruto and stared at the blonde. 'I finally have a challenge.'
"Finally it's over." Naruto said, leaving the academy. He aced every test Iruka gave him, surprising everyone. Iruka made a comment that Naruto would've been rookie of the year if he was the whole time.
"I'll say, you know you have to go visit the panda girl, right?" Naruto blushed and smiled. He was excited to see his childhood friend again, he hated to admit but with his mom training, he was sure he was stronger than Tenten but she shouldn't be that far behind.
"I can't wait, let's head over to the Higurashi weapon shop." Naruto said, taken off to the direction. 'I wonder how much she changed?'
"She probably grew up to be a beautiful vixen, considering her training. She might have a body like neko." Kuruma teased. Naruto blushed at the thought. "When are you going to ask her on a date? You two were together a few times throughout your training and from the letters she sent you after she left, I say she likes 'likes' you."
"Y-you sure? I mean, I would love to go out with her but.."
"Trust me kit. You two are meant to be together." Naruto nodded and decided to take a chance. After all, a Uzumaki doesn't back down.
"Aaaand done!" Tenten said. Looking in the mirror. Her hair buns are braided and held together by a short plait that falls below her shoulders. She was wearing a pink sleeveless, high-collared qipao dress with red trimmings and a white flower pattern on the left, tied with a maroon obi. Underneath she has fishnet leg stockings and black high-heeled boots. She had a short katana sheathed behind her back.(her outfit after the war but for her current size.) "Not bad if I say so myself." Tenten said with pride while posing a bit looking in the mirror. "I have to thank Yugao-sensei for this outfit." *knock knock. "Just one moment." She continued to straighten herself out until she heard another knock. "Fine I'm coming dad." She said walking towards the door, irritated. "Dad, can't you be patient? A girl needs time to prepare…" Tenten's voice died when she opened the door and saw blonde hair and cerulean eyes staring at her with a warm smile.
"Really? You look good to me, Panda-chan." Naruto said, smiling at his childhood friend. Soon the blonde Uzumaki found his back on the ground when he was tackled in a hug by Tenten.
"Foxy-kun, I can't believe you are back." Tenten said, snuggling in his chest.
Naruto chuckled and hugged the girl back. "Missed you too." Tenten brought her head out of Naruto's chest and both of them stared at each other. Naruto didn't know why but he was drawn to her eyes, unknowingly to him, Tenten felt the same. "Beautiful."
Tenten eyes widened and blushed up a storm. She gave Naruto a small smile and moved some of her hair behind her ear. "Thank you." She said standing up, pulling Naruto to his feet. "You don't look bad yourself, handsome."
"Do you have anything planned for the day? I was hoping we could hangout for the rest of the day." Naruto asked.
"Sure, I would love to. Let me let tou-san know and we can head." Tenten answered.
"Go ahead! I'll take care of the shop." Ox yelled from the bottom floor.
Naruto shivered as he remembered his hellish training. "It was hell, Panda-chan. I'm grateful for it but you have to have nerves of steel. Kaa-chan did not hold back at all." Naruto answered, rubbing his arms. "How about your training?"
"Well, Yugao-sensei taught me multiple sword styles from singular to dual-wielding to reverse alongside a few fuinjutsu techniques. She didn't have a certain Taijutsu style for me and said she asked some woman to give her permission to learn the snake-style. I have some other techniques but I'll keep it a secret, can't tell you everything." Tenten said, winking at Naruto.
"I can respect that. I learn multiple sword styles, along with some chakra control exercises. I learn taijutsu as well. One of my main focuses was my fuinjutsu and my kenjutsu. But I also have a few more tricks under my belt." Naruto said, winking back at the girl. Tenten giggled until her danger sense went off, she grabbed a bottle that was aimed at Naruto.
Tenten turned to the civilian, who was giving her a shocked look. "Excuse me but why did you attack my friend?"
"Because he's the kyuubi! He has it sealed in his- argh!" The civilian cried in pain when a sword appeared in his chest. Neko was standing behind him.
"He broke the law." Neko replied emotionlessly. Civilians slowly backed away until one of them felt a bottle thrown at their head. The man that got hit turned to see Tenten smirking at him.
"I was just returning it." She said with a look, daring him to do something. After the civilians disappeared, Neko sighs in relief.
"You would think they learned by now. They're a bunch of fools." neko said. When she didn't get a response, she saw Tenten staring at Naruto confusingly, while Naruto looked nervous.
"Foxy-kun, what was that guy about to say? The kyuubi is sealed…" Tenten asked.
"Tenten, That is-" Yugao started, but she was interrupted when Naruto held his hand up.
"I was going to tell her today anyway. It's fine Neko-chan." Naruto said, before turning to his childhood friend. "You see, 14 years ago when the kyuubi attacked. The yondaime didn't kill him. He was too powerful and the strongest of all bijuu. So he sealed it inside me." Naruto said. He wasn't sure how she would take it but he believed in his friend, especially since she had knowledge of fuinjutsu.
"I see, so everyone believes you're the fox reincarnated in a boy. The people don't understand seals." Tenten said before hugging the blonde and kissing him on the cheek. "Thanks for trusting me and keeping everyone alive. Your secret is safe with me. Do you know why the yondaime sealed the fox in you? Seems kinda random." Naruto chuckled and whispered in her ears and pulled back. Tenten just stared at him before smacking her face. "Everyone is so blind. How could they not see it?"
Naruto chuckled before grabbings Tenten's hands, causing her to blush. "Thanks for seeing me as me." Naruto said, giving Tenten a warm smile.
Tenten returned it. "No problem, you're my Foxy-kun after all."
"Well, I'll go report the incident." Yugao said before giving them a devious smirk. "Enjoy your date." She said before disappearing.
Naruto and Tenten blushed and looked at each other. "Is this a date? Tenten asked.
"Well, I wouldn't mind it. How about you?" Naruto asked.
"S-sure." Tenten responded. Then they walked hand in hand to Ichiraku's. "By the way, where is you mom?" Naruto chuckled nervously.
Kiri blood war.
Mei Terumi, leader of the rebellion against Yagura, the Mizukage, was witnessing an amazing and scary sight. Her Idol she heard legends of, the crimson death Kushina Uzumaki, was massacring Yagura's army with ease. She took out around 400 nin without breaking a sweat. "Come on, you have to do better. I'm getting bored, bring it!"
"What is she?" one of the soldiers asked, slowly backing away.
Kushina turned to them, wiping blood off her sword. "Your death." she answered and she disappeared in a blur, feeling the mist with screams of agony.
2 months later.
In a puff of smoke, Kushina arrived in her backyard thanks to her reverse summon. It was currently 6 a.m. "Sochi should be up by now." Kushina said before walking into her home. When she walked in, she saw her son making breakfast, half asleep. "Can you make a little extra?"
Naruto's eyes widened before snapping his head towards his mom. "Kaa-chan, your back." Naruto yelled as he ran towards his mom and gave her a hug. "Where were you?"
"Well…I was in Kiri." Kushina answered.
"Kiri? Why would you… You were fighting a war? Why didn't you bring me?" Naruto complained.
"Because I didn't want you to experience war, sochi. You are strong but war is terrible. But don't worry, in a few months I guarantee you'll be a jonin."
"I guess, I'm just so bored. The only fun thing I did since I got here was spar with Yugao-chan and Panda-chan." Naruto said.
"Oh, you saw Tenten. How are things going with the two of you? Have you two gone on a date yet?" Kushina teased but was shocked when Naruto turned his head away with a blush on his face. "You did! Details sochi."
"It was a regular date, she's not that girly. All we did was eat and spar, then we decided to give our relationship a try." Naruto answered, walking over to the stove to finish cooking. "So what's your plan now that you are home?"
Kushina gave her son a victory smirk and held a scroll with the fire lord seal. "I got approved."
After eating their breakfast, the two headed towards the Hokage tower to deliver the message and to surprise the old man, they decided to go through the window. Hiruzen was reading a green book, while drinking some coffee. Both Uzumaki rolled their eyes and hopped through the window. "Ji-san, that wouldn't happen to be one of those perverted books?"
Hiruzen's eyes widened in panic and put the book away before turning to Kushina. "Kushina-chan, you're back. It's good to see you."
"Yeah, I just arrived this morning. Now I got something for you." Kushina said, giving the old man the scroll. Hiruzen saw the seal and opened it. After reading the scroll, he nearly choked and looked at the Uzumaki duo, who was giving him a foxy grin.
"It seems I need to call a council meeting. Neko, call a meeting and meet me in the chamber." Hiruzen said, in a happy tune. Hiruzen walked around the desk and led the two to the council chamber. Neko appeared and gave Kushina a hug before disappearing to gather the council members. "Shall we proceed to the chamber?"
Both Uzumaki nodded their heads with excitement and followed Hiruzen to the chamber, Hiruzen told Kushina to hide so she used a camouflage jutsu. After waiting a few minutes, the council walked in and were suspicious of the hokage when they saw a small smile on his face. Once they were seated, he decided to begin. "Greetings everyone, you must be wondering why I called you here?"
"Yes but why is young Uzumaki here?" Shibi asked.
"Well the reason for that is connected to why I called you here. You see, I was given a letter from our daimyo and was given permission to choose a new kage." Hiruzen began, causing everyone's eyes to widen.
"And who do you plan on choosing, there's not many shinobi who could handle the task." Danzo asked. He knew Hiruzen wasn't going to choose him but it was scary because the look on his leader's face showed that whoever he was choosing, he had faith in him.
"Well, the daimyo chose the hokage himself, you see the person he chose is stronger than me and the yondaime. Not only that, they were able to secure a treaty with Kiri, forming an alliance by assisting in the war they had." Hiruzen said.
"Stop beating around the bush and tell us already. Plus how is this connected to the pup?" Tsume asked.
"Glad you asked, you see Naruto-kun was with this person the years he was gone and in fact, half of the people in this room are familiar with her." Hiruzen said.
"I'm quite interested to know who you are referring to so can you please give us a name." Inoichi asked.
Hiruzen chuckled at the interception. "Fine, I'll stop beating around the bush. Your new Godaime Hokage may reveal themself."
Kushina slowly uncloaks herself in the center of the room next to Naruto, the clan heads gasping at the supposed dead woman alongside Mebuki, the civilians were confused and the elders didn't know what to feel." Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze at your service." Kushina said. Civilians gasped when they heard her second last name.
"Namikaze? Why do you share the same name as lord Yondaime?" one of the civilians asked.
"Why does she share the same last name as the demon brat?" another asked.
"That's not important." Tsume jumped over the table and gave the women a hug. "How are you alive, tomato?"
Kushina grew a tick mark. "Did you forget who my husband was, mutt?" Kushina said.
"I believe we owe an explanation." Danzo said with hidden anger.
"Gladly, Hiruzen. Go take your new seat as the Uzumaki clan head, since I am Hokage, I'll leave my seat to you until Sochi is of age." Kushina said.
"Yes, Hokage-sama." Hiruzen said, taking his new seat."
"Now that everyone is here, let's get down to business." Kushina said. "Now to those of you who aren't aware, My name is Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze, heir to the Uzumaki and Namikaze clan. I was married to Minato Namikaze and together we had our son, Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze." and on que, the civilians beside Mebuki started an uproar. "SILENCE!" Kushina said, causing the civilians. "Listen up and don't interrupt. I'm not Hiruzen, I will not be disrespected by a bunch of child beaters." Kushina said glaring at the civilians. "Now it's time to correct some things. One, you civilians believe that my son was a demon, what do you fail to realize that if he was a demon, would you really attack him? Two, the kyuubi did not appear out of nowhere, he was summoned to the village who attacked me while I was giving birth."
"Why did he attack you, Kushina-sama?" Hiashi asked.
"Because it was the only chance to release the fox." Kushina answered, causing confusion on everyone's face.
"Danzo seethed. 'She's going to tell them everything? No.."
"You see, my son wasn't the first jinchuuriki of the kyuubi. He was the third, I was the second and Mito Uzumaki-Senju, the wife of the Shodai, was the first. The kyuubi been in the village for almost a hundred years but when my son becomes a host you attack him. Did you guys think I was a demon or Mito-sama, the same person who built this village by giving you my clan seals?" no one answered. "And to answer your question Hiashi, when a female jinchuuriki gives birth, her seal weakens and on my son's birthday, I was kidnapped by a man in a mask who ripped the fox out of my gut. My husband had to seal it in our son because only an Uzumaki can hold the power of the kyuubi. He didn't seal it away in my son so you can kill him because if you had succeeded, the fox would have reformed in months." Kushina explained.
"I told you but you never listened." Hiruzen said.
"I'm pissed not only because of how you treated my son but you didn't listen to my husband's request when he told you to see Naruto-kun a hero, not only did you insult him but every shinobi in the village who help him because you believe the fox hypnotized them. How would we be controlled but you who are weaker aren't?" Kushina asked. Civilians turned to the clan heads and saw them glaring at them. "You just wanted someone to take your anger out on and frustration. You let your emotions take control and took it out on my son, the one keeping you alive. When I heard about his life, I wanted to kill you. But I won't if you come clean on one thing."
"And what's that, hokage-sama?"
"Who was the one who leaked the information about my son's status?" Danzo flinched, which was caught by the Uzumaki's and Hiruzen.
"W-we don't know- Agh!" the civilian who answered, screamed in pain as his body was electrocuted but since it was at a low level, he survived.
"What was that?" Koharu asked.
"Those are lie detector seals and if you lie, you feel pain. The more you lie, the stronger the reaction. Now I'm going to ask each one of you and if you refuse to answer, I'm gonna assume you're guilty and execute you for releasing a S-rank secret. So you should save everyone some time and fess up." No one answered, causing Kushina to rub her temples. "Fine, Hiruzen. Do you have any suspicions?"
Hiruzen nodded at his new leader. "In fact I do, I believe Danzo may have leaked the information. He wanted me to hand him over to turn him into a weapon. Most likely he was trying to make the boy desperate and swoop in to gain his trust. He was also one of the ones to deny adoption from anyone."
Kushina nodded and glared at the warhawk. "Danzo, you'll get special treatment depending on your answer to these three questions. 1. Did you leak the information? 2. Did you disband Root? And 3. Did you have a hand in the destruction of Uzu?"
Everyone's eyes widened at the last question. "What do you mean, Kushina-dono?" Hiruzen asked.
"I find it funny that after the deaths of the first two hokage, my village was destroyed, especially since my clan was known for their fuinjutsu with a couple protecting intruders from the outside. There were only two ways into my village. One through the front gate but you needed an Uzumaki and two, the secret passageway that connects my village to here. There's an entrance in the Senju complex. The only people who knew about that were the hokages and their students. I know it wasn't Hiruzen because the moment he blamed Danzo, he was hurt by my seal. Danzo, answer the questions or die." Kushina ordered.
Danzo stayed quiet, trying to contemplate his next move since he was cornered. "Root! Come to me." Danzo ordered as he dashed past Kushina towards the door, missing Kushina smirk. The moment Danzo touched the door, he was pushed back by an invisible force.
"I sealed the door." Danzo turned to Kushina, who had her hand raised towards him. Chakra chains shot out and wrapped around the warhawk, restraining him. Six root nin jumped out the shadow and charged the new kage with tantos in their hands. But before they could reach her, Neko appeared and sliced all six of their heads off in one instance. "Good job, neko.
"Hai, Kushina-sama." Neko bowed. Kushina summoned her sword and started to approach Danzo. Danzo for the first in a long time felt fear, he was helpless and was about to die.
"Wait, you need me. I can help bring the village to its proper stature." Danzo said but it was for nought.
"You're just a parasite who believes Konoha should rule and you sacrificed my clan because you didn't want competition, am I right. Not only that, you wanted to turn my son into a weapon and you went against orders from your leader because of your selfishness. And let's not forget." Kushina grabbed his left arm and ripped it off, causing the man to scream. She removes the bandage, revealing a sharingan arm. "No wonder I felt multiple chakra signatures. You fused Hashirama cells and stole the eyes of a dead clan."
"Wait, I can't die! Not before I.." he was cut off when Kushina severed his head. Naruto stared at the man with disgust. He was the reason why the first 5 years of his life were hell. Kushina performed a fire jutsu and cremated the body.
"W-what have you done?" Homura asked in shock.
"He was a traitor who lied and worked behind our backs. He disrespected his teachers and leader for his own selfish goals. Now listen up, I promise to protect the village with all my strength and all I ask is your loyalty. If I find out anyone is conniving behind my back. You will die. Danzo believed that the village should rule over others but he didn't realize that a goal like that would create rebels in the future. I will make this village stronger but not by force and sacrifice, but by the combination of strengths. I'm the hokage and my word is law, if you don't agree, you can leave." Kushina said, taking her seat. No one left, causing Kushina to smile. "Good, now the daimyo said we can make the announcement without the ceremony. Especially since in a month, the new genin will be graduating in a few weeks. Tsume, where is Mikoto?"
"She's probably at her complex. She refused to leave after the destruction of her clan." Tsume said.
"I see, I'll talk to her later. Alright, everyone is dismissed. Neko!" Kushina called.
"Hai, Kushina-sama."
"Bring Mikoto to my office please and don't inform her of my presence." Kushina ordered. Yugao nodded before disappearing.
"Kushina, I have to say it's good to see you alive." Hiashi said, approaching her alongside the other clan heads and Mebuki. Mebuki walked up to her and wrapped her arm around Kushina's neck.
"It's good to see, Kushina. I'm glad you survived and sorry I couldn't do more for your son."
"It's fine. After all, you had roadblocks that needed clearing." Kushina responded.
"I'll say, I'm glad that one eyed mummy is gone." Tsume said. "Now that we know that Naruto was with you, the question is, how strong are you and how strong is he?"
"I told you, I'm stronger than my husband and as for my son, that's something you'll have to find out." Kushina said. "Well, get going because I have stuff to do and a meeting with my old rival. Naru-kun, come with me. I'm about to introduce you to your god god-mother." Kushina said. She then left the clan heads and went to the Hokage or her new office with Naruto following her.
"Ji-chan, I'm here. Why did you…?" Mikoto said when she walked into the office but paused when she laid eyes on Kushina. "Kushina, but how?"
"My husband." was all Kuhsina said. Mikoto stood there for a while, confusing Kushina. "Are you just going to-omph." Kushina was cut off when Mikoto ran to her and gave her a hug.
"I'm glad you're alive. I'm sorry I couldn't help your son. Those damns elders."
"It's ok, Naru-chan is fine. Look." Kushina said, turning to her left. Mikoto turns her head and notices the blonde sitting in the office, smiling at her. "And as for the elders, Danzo was killed by yours truly."
"Let me guess, he was the one who leaked the info." Mikoto said.
"Not only that but he raided the Uchiha graves and had multiple sharingans in his left arm and Shishui eye in his left socket. Also his arm was made out of wood from Hashirama ji-san." Kushina added.
"I'm guessing he thought he could control the kyuubi with it." Mikoto guessed. "But it doesn't matter now since he's dead. On another note, how did you become hokage?"
"Oh, I fought in the Kiri war and made an alliance. I went to the daimyo and he was surprised to see me alive. He knew I wanted to be hokage but the only reason I couldn't was because I was pregnant but now I can."
"Well, congratulations Hokage-sama." Mikoto said.
"Don't call me that, you're my best friend." Kushina said. "But on a side-note, I heard you're not active now?"
Mikoto looked down with a sad expression. "Yeah, after I lost you, Itachi disappeared and my husband died. I just kinda gave up. Sasuke became distant and demanding, I just don't know what to do."
"You're his mother so kick his ass."Kushina said. "Mikoto-chan, next to our husbands. We were the strongest in the village. Now I'm the strongest, which means you are a loser." Kushina teased.
"What?!" Mikoto snapped her head. :What do you mean?"
"We are rivals, since you stopped training. I'm finally the stronger one of us two. We made a bet that when I become hokage, whoever is the weakest has to do the other a favor."
"How strong are you?" Mikoto asked.
"Hmm, I'll say between Tobirama and Minato-kun." Kushina asked, surprising Mikoto. Kushina saw her friend's look that was asking for an explanation. "You see, I was training Naru-kun for 8 years but on the side, I was fighting against clones of myself and my son became an appropriate level, we trained together everyday. We did that training."
"I see, well I have to step up my game and surpass you. I wish my son would train with me and not just for revenge." Mikoto said.
"Well, if you want. I can fight him and kick his ass." Naruto said, entering the conversation. "I'm the same age as him, so I can tell him I got stronger to protect my precious people."
Kushina thought about it and shook her head. "No, Mikoto should do it. Show him your strength and tell him the reason why you are stronger. Don't bow to him and he will listen"
Mikoto looked at both the Uzumaki's and sigh. "I never thought of that." She then walked towards Naruto and bent down and hugged him. "You've grown taller and I can tell you are strong. Sorry I couldn't do more for you."
"It's fine, I heard from kaa-chan that you were one of the ones who tried to help me, thank you Mikoto oba-chan." Naruto said, returning the hug.
Kushina smiled at the two, hopefully things continue to go positive. "Well I see you are busy Hokage-sama." Hiruzen said, walking in with a teasing smile.
"No you too, ji-chan." Kushina pouted.
Hiruzen chuckled. "Just having a little fun, now I know you don't have to do the coronation but you still make a speech to the village."
"Don't worry ji-chan, I still plan to. I need to inform them about what they did and who they did it to." Kushina said, radiating anger.
"Attention villagers, this is the Sandaime speaking. I would like to inform you that our daimyo chose a successor and my time as your leader is up." Hiruzen said, standing on top of the tower. The villagers started mumbling to each other. "Now the person he chose is much stronger than me and the Yondaime, in fact they're the reason the Yondaime was as strong as he is. I present to you, your Godaime, Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze."
When the villagers heard the name, many gasp when they heard her last name and the ones who knew of her cheered, since they had the red-death as their leader. Kushina stepped forward and looked over at the villagers. "Good evening Konoha, I'm Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze. If you are not aware, I was the wife of Minato Namikaze. Ever since I was in the academy, it was my dream to become the first female hokage and protect the village me and my husband loved. I am happy for the opportunity, at least that is what I would say if it wasn't for one major problem." Kushina said, confusing the villagers.
"What do you mean, Kushina-sama?" one of the villagers asked.
Kushina looked behind her and motioned someone forward. The villagers were confused until they saw Naruto walking next to her. "I'm pretty sure you know who this is, to you villagers he is the demon and i;m pretty sure you think he's controlling my mind. I heard of the abuse you gave him. Well let me inform you of a couple things, Naruto is not the demon reincarnation. He's a jinchuuriki of the kyuubi and is the third one to exist in the village." Kushina stated, surprising everyone. "The kyuubi been in the village for over a hundred years without anyone knowing and the moment you found out my son hosted the beast, you treat him as such."
The villagers eyes widened when they heard what she said. "D-did you just say your son?"
"That's right, his full name is Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze. The son of Minato Namikaze and me. Have you wondered why Minato told you to view him as a hero? It was because my son had the burden of protecting this village, the same burden I had 'have' before and the same one Mito Uzumaki-Senju had when she was alive. Am I a demon? What about lord Shodai's wife?"
The villagers looked at Naruto with guilt, they believed no one was strong enough to hold the demon but to hear it's been here the whole time, blew their minds. "But if you held the kyuubi, how did it escape?"
"There is only one time when a jinchuuriki seal becomes weak. When she's about to give birth. Minato-kun was there to insure the fox wouldn't escape but something unfortunate happened. Someone knew about my status and the time i was giving birth, they attacked us and used my son as hostage to get to me. He ripped the fox out and placed a strong genjutsu on it. When he summoned it to the village, he let the fox rampage as the kyuubi tried to break free. But because of the attacks, he coudn;t. Minato-kun sacrificed his life sealing the fox in our son by performing a s-rank jutsu that summons the god of death himself in exchange for the user's life. Minato-kun asked for you to look at his son as a hero but you disregarded his words and torture our son, you didn't believe in his powers over the sealing and doubted him, you say you loved the yondaime but you ignore his final request. I love this village but I'm not sure how to feel about you villagers for trying to kill my sochi." Kushina said.
"We're sorry."
"We were angry."
"We didn't know."
Kushina held up her hand, silencing the villagers. "I understand your feelings, lives were lost that day but Naruto-kun was not the cause. A demon would not sit their and let you torture it, even if it was weakened. Just try to make it up to my son and I'll protect the village with my true strength."
"Gomen nasai, Naruto-sama!" the villagers yelled at Naruto and bowed.
"It's fine, let's think of this as a new start." Naruto responded. The whole village cheered.
"Great." Kushina said. "Now it's time I told you about the Uzumaki clan."
"Did you hear?" Ino asked Sakura as they walked to class.
"Of course I did, who knew Naruto would be the son of two kages." Sakura said.
"I know, with him here. We have two hot, strong guys in our class. The question now is who is stronger between the two?" Ino asked in a flirtatious manner. Sakura thought about it as well. Both were the last male of their clan and the best student of the class. When they arrived at class, they saw the new hokage and multiple jonins standing in their class.
"You're finally here." Iruka said to the two girls. "Take your seat, the hokage has an announcement." Iruka instructed. The two girls ran to their respected seats.
Kushina stepped forward and smiled at the future genin. "Alright, as you know, my name is Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze but call me hokage-sama or Kushina-sama. Now that I'm hokage, I decided to see how well the graduation class is this year and watch you perform in various exams from physical to paper. The reason for this is to determine what teams you would be on by judging from your strengths and weaknesses." She then moved out the way so the students could see the jonins. "Each jonin specializes in a different field. Might guy, the Taijutsu specialist. Kurenai Yuhi, the Genjutsu specialist. Kakashi Hatake, the Ninjutsu specialist. Anko Miterashi, the Trap and interrogation expert. And finally, Yugao Uzuki, the Kenjutsu specialist. You will fight against them in the field and they will rank from genin to kage. You may not reach kage level but it's like a bar. Say Sasuke Uchiha specialize in ninjutsu. To balance the team, we may pair him with someone like Choji Akamichi, who specializes in taijutsu. Do you understand?"
"Hai." the class responded.
Good, we'll do this once a week until graduation." Kushina said and turned to the jonins. "You future sensei also have a job. By watching the students perform, you choose what students you want when the final week appears."
"I see, we can get a grasp on their techniques and skills by sparring with them and watching them. Good idea." Kurenai said.
"I'm glad you agree." Kushina said but she didn't know how much of a headache she would have when the final week arrived.
A month a later
"I should've seen this coming." Kushina groaned. She witnessed the potential of all the genin and she had to say she had mixed feelings about the results. Starting with shuriken throwing, she tested the student draw speed, aim down site speed and aim. Naruto scored the highest, followed by Sasuke and then Shino. In Taijutsu Naruto was low jonin level when he held back, Sasuke and Hinata were high chunin and Kiba was low chunin since he lacked control. For genjutsu, Naruto and Hinata broke out the fastest but Naruto and Ino were the only ones who were able to cast one. During the ninjutsu test, Naruto and Sasuke were the only ones who performed outside the academy jutsu but Sauke could only perform the fireball jutsu which was a C-rank jutsu. Naruto performs b-rank wind, water and lightning jutsu. Doing the capture training, she sent Anko after the genin but had to convince not to maim them by drawing her sword to the sword mistress's throat. Anko had 5 minutes to capture them and Naruto was the only one who didn;t get caught. Now why was the new hokage annoyed?
"Hokage-sama, I should have Naruto on my team. With his large chakra reserves and prowess, I can turn him into the perfect assault shinobi." Kakashi assisted.
"Now that's not fair, Kakashi." Kurenai said, gaining the copy-nin attention. "You have Sasuke, why do you get Naruto? Naruto would be the perfect balance for my team."
"And how is he going to help you're team of trackers?" Asuma asked.
"Easily, Naruto-kun shadow clones can relay information and his solid henges could infiltrate. Plus if we get into a fight, he can cover all ranges of attacks. Plus can bring his chakra control up since that's his weakness." Kurenai said.
"Well I should have, my team can use the extra power, plus he is a wind user like me. I can teach him to control his wind affinity and use it in combat."
"Silence!" Kushina yelled, gaining the attention of the jonin. "Now Kakashi, you first. Who do you want besides my son on your team and what's your plan?"
"Sasuke and Sakura, I want to make an assault team that takes down any enemy. With Sasuke sharingan, Sakura chakra control and Naruto versatility, they'll be unstoppable." Kakashi answered.
Kushina nodded and turned to Kurenai. "What about you, Kurenai?"
"I want a balanced team that can track, take down and capture. Hinata's byakugan can see 360 degrees and she can shut people's chakra networks. Shino can absorb chakra and use his bugs to track smell, and I'm pretty sure Naruto-kun knows a little fuinjutsu and can seal chakra and paralyze targets." Kurenai said.
Kushina smirked. "Who knows? Now Asuma."
"I would like Shikamaru and Ino. Shikamaru can plan and capture, while Ino can infiltrate targets and gather information. Naruto could defend both of them with Shadow clones and his ninjutsu" Asuma answered.
Kushina sighed. She knew how strong her son really was and the three jonin teams were imbalanced with Naruto on the team. They assumed Naruto was high chunin but that wasn't even close to his strength, not that she would tell, but she was hoping they would think of each student and not just the ones that were strong. "Excuse me, can I choose a team?" Kushina snapped out her thoughts when Mikoto walked in.
Kushina cocked an eyebrow. "Sure, you are qualified."
Mikoto nodded and looked at the list. "I want these two, alongside Naruto-kun."
And done. Now who do you think she chose and who does Kushina want with Naruto? If you can guess, I'll turn this into a harem or take a story challenge.
Agnar: Who said anything about canon teams? I didn't but you could be right.
YeagerMeister31: Yeah, I'll have people underestimate him and for Sasuke, he'll be darker but he has an important role… but it'll be something he won't look forward to.
Biginferno: yeah she would, I was actually contemplating adding Samui and if I do, there would be one person I have to add because of her character.
Midnight Lost: he is going to shake up a lot of things and so is Kushina. I have a lot planned.
