Chapter 33

Unheeded Warning

PHOENIX SQUADRON

Phoenix's Nest

After Ryloth, the squadron had made itself at home inside their new flagship the Phoenix Nest, the Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier was built by the SoroSuub Corporation, a Sullust-based shipwright corporation. Its triangular structure made it similar to other dagger-shaped Imperial spacecraft, including Star Destroyers. Unlike Star Destroyers, however, the bridge was located at the frontal point and the hangars at the base. The structural integrity of the Quasar Fire spaceframe was questionable, being subject to micro-fractures while reverting from hyperspace to realspace. This much was alleged by a report issued by Mid-Rim Shipwrights. The Quasar Fire-class was 340 meters in length. The four hangar bays had space to accommodate up to 96 starfighters, however, some Imperial light carriers operated with as few as ten TIE/sa bombers and four TIE/in space superiority starfighters. The Empire used such carriers in orbit of occupied planets, allowing for easy dispatch of fighters whenever necessary. Now it was being loaded up with A-wings and smaller rebel ships like stolen shuttles or more.

Commander Jun Sato entered the bridge with his crew seeing it had everything they needed to function as a proper flagship, Hera was standing at the helm waiting for them with her crew behind her, all but Ahkilleon. "Captain Syndulla, my congratulations to you and your crew." Commander Sato said as he looked at the interior ship.

"She's a fine ship Commander." Hera said, looking at the dashboard.

"Fit for a fine squadron, but you already christened it the Phoenix Nest?" he asked.

She nodded "Seemed fitting."

"Eh, I always liked the Phoenix Home." Ezra shrugged.

Zeb scratched his beard "I thought we agreed on The Liberator?"

"Regardless, well done Specter's." Commander Sato nodded at all of them in gratitude, before he gave them a salute of respect. Everyone returned it, and thought that was it "Now about this, secondary issue, the Militia spy?" Sato asked.

Everyone who wasn't Kanan and Hera snapped their heads back "Militia spy?" Sabine asked.

Hera answered her quickly "The half twi'lek, Jek, we suspect he's a Militia spy and when he left, I had Chopper run a scan on his shuttle, he had an encrypted message sent out before he jumped."

"We sure he's Militia, not Imperial?" Ezra asked them.

Kanan smirked "Trust me, Hera's been breaking imperial encryptions for years, this is unlike anyone we've seen, and the tracker I put on his ship went for deep space, not the mid rim or the core." Kanan explained.

"Wait…" Sabine started to see where this was going "Are you saying you know where the Militia Homeworld is?" Sabine asked.

Hera gave a confident smile, "This time, we have the advantage, we know where they are." she said, "It's about time we find out who the Militia really are."

Meanwhile, down in the new ship's medical bay. Ahkilleon was sitting on a medical bed with a droid looking him over, Ahsoka stood pacing left and right as he said "Mom, I'm okay, honestly just a bit of a scare."

"From what Kanan told me, you experienced a force ripple effect that's not a joke Ahkilleon." she told him.

"Mom, I'm not laughing I just… got surprised that's all." Ahkilleon said, trying to sooth her worry as the droid flashed a light in his eyes, his pupils dilating.

The droid turned away "All vitals are normal, he is in perfect health for a sentient his age."

"Physically maybe." Ahsoka said, folding her arms "I am a medical unit, not a psychological model." The doctor droid said before walking off.

Ahkilleon got off the bed, walking over to an end table to grab his saber. "I know I know, the deepest scars are often the ones we don't see." Ahkilleon said, clipping his lightsaber back on his belt.

"I wasn't going to say that, but… pretty much." Ahsoka said, leading him out of the medical bay. They walked together and she had her hand on his shoulder squeezing it gently enough to remind him she was there.

"Mom, I… I was overwhelmed okay, I never felt that stuff before but… I'm fine, honest." Ahkilleon said, trying to sound confident enough to convince her.

Ahsoka looked on ahead, "Which is why you'll be taking training a bit easier now, more meditation less combat training at least till we can better tune your mind for strong emotions." she said "Maybe while you are doing this, you can have Proxy spar with Ezra, make it a bit more interesting for you next time." she said.

"I think Proxy would like that." Ahkilleon said as they walked into the bridge.

The Ghost crew were still on the bridge, looking at a hologram of the galactic map, a red blinking light to indicate Kanan's tracker, "The tracker stopped here, just outside Hutt Space at the border of wild space." Kanna said as Hera looked at it.

"How are you feeling?" Ezra said his immediate attention went to his blood brother's well being.

Ahkilleon waved him off "I'm fine, I'm fine, what are we talking about?" He asked.

"Hera and Kanan learned that the Jek guy who gassed you was a Militia spy, and tracked him back to their home world, Arcadia." Sabine said filling them.

Ahsoka folded her arms on her chest, "Arcadia, where?" She asked.

"Outside of Hutt space, it puts those slugs between the Empire and them. and makes sense, the Hutts have made deals with the Empire to keep some autonomy but not much." Hera said as if she was about to spit something out, "Means they could move through Hutt space without the Empire even knowing they were there, or us for that matter."

Ezra looked confused "Why would they?"

"If the syndicates collapsed, there'd be chaos and the Empire would have to deal with it, but corruption they can control, that's easier." Hera explained the politics of back door dealings between the syndicates and the Empire.

Commander Sato looked at the map, "That is quite a distance by hyperspace, you could be gone for some time?"

"You, Hera you're going?" Sabine asked.

"Yes, a solo mission." Hera said.

Kanan shook his head, "Out of the question."

"What he said." Sabine added "What she said." Ezra also added, and then Zeb "What they said."

Sternly Hera melted and turned to Commander Sato, "If the Commander approves."

"We'll tag along too, Rex as well, he's been aching for some action." Ahsoka said confidently.

Kanan sighed, "At this rate the Ghost will need some modifications for our growing family."

"I'm not sharing a room." Sabine whispered.

Commander Sato cleared his throat, "The Militia will most likely not take kindly to uninvited guests, this must be a recon mission, you follow them to confirm that this Jek character went to Arcadia and returned." Commander Sato warned them.

Hera nodded "Understood Commander, if this is really the Militia homeworld we're going to, the last thing we want to do is pick a fight." Hera said.

Later, the Ghost was loading up on fuel for the long journey to Hutt space, Rex was walking up helmet under his arm next to Ahsoka, "This reminds me of the time, we went to rescue General Rock and Piel from the Citadel, a secret mission to a place we shouldn't go, only this time you're coming along as part of the plan." Rex muttered to her.

"Master Yoda, told me to come." Ahsoka whispered to him.

"Oh sure, sure." Rex said walking up to the ship, Ezra came out smiling ear to ear "Rex!" he said running up to him.

Rex smiled at him "Hey they're kids, been a while."

"I'll say." Kanan said, sharing Ezras smile, but not his fire enthusiasm, still Rex greeted him as a friend and shook his hand.

Rex took it firmly, "Ghost's got more TIE scores I see." Rex said making a comment on the number of TIE logos on the side of the ship under the cockpit, a sign of how many it shot down. Sabine was adding a few more from past missions with her paint gun"Yeah, Chopper loves to keep track, and Sabine won't be satisfied till the whole ship is covered in paint."

"Am I the only one who thinks the Galaxy could always be more colorful."

Snickering, the old clone said to her "You should have seen Coruscant's night life then, all the neon in the galaxy, now the Empire taxes people for having color in any holo."

"Wait, you were on Coruscant?" Ezra asked.

"I may have been, secret missions and all." Rex said, rolling his eyes, making Ezra's go into stars like he was going to hear a legendary story.

Rex looked around seeing Zeb finish up fueling the ship, "Where's Ahkilleon?"

Ahsoka and Kanan's faces went serious, "He's… taking it easy, the Ryloth mission took a toll on him, but he won't admit it."

"Hmm, I heard, makes me realize why General Rock never used his battle meditation on us clones, can only imagine how he dealt with it." Rex sighed.

Ahsoka spoke up then, "I'll go check on him." she said, Kanan went off to do something else too leaving Ezra alone with Rex.

They walked over to some crates where Rex set down his helmet, Ezra hopped up on it grabbing it to look at it, making note of the jaig eyes on the brow "So you really knew them all, the old Jedi, Ahsoka's Master, Ahkilleons dad's?"

"Oh yeah, met loads of Jedi, but Ahsoka's he was the real deal." Rex said leaning on the crate smirking at a distant memory, "One time, we climbed a droid fortress made of literally nothing but cannons to set bombs, before I even got my footing he threw me off and caught me in the same five seconds… I still have nightmares." Rex said, laughing at the memory.

"And what about Ahkilleon's dad, you knew him?" Ezra asked him.

Rex got silent, he glanced at the floor "General Ro-, Leo Rock was a complicated Jedi, like Ahsoka he was young when he entered the war. I never really took the time to get to know him like I did Ahsoka or her Master, he was distant to the clones. He respected us, and heard him say that Jedi and clones were meant for one another, you know, but even then I never really knew him."

"Oh yeah, that stinks, seems like everywhere we go we hear about him, Cham, Hera's father spoke highly about him." Ezra said.

Shaking his head Rex said "Ryloth, now that was a tough fight. I didn't see much action on the ground, that was, Ponds battalion he served under… General Windu if I remember right."

"The clones were all really different weren't they?" Ezra asked.

"Oh yeah, sure we all looked the same, but between my brothers and I we could tell the difference no problem. Ponds hehe shaved his head and dyed his eyebrows." Rex whispered "Why?" Ezra asked.

Rex tilted his head back and forth "May be due to the fact when he came out of the cloning pod he had pink hair, so they say."

"Wait, I thought clones would all look alike, doesn't that mean you would have pink hair?" Ezra asked.

He shook his head "Nah, mine was blonde but I shaved it."

"Why?" Ezra asked him.

"Trust me, sweaty hair under a helmet never looks good," he said.

Sabine dropped down "He's got a point, that's why Mandalorian helmets all come with a special hair dryer and dry shampoo built in." she said walking into the Ghost.

"She's making that up, she has to be." Ezra said.

Hera leaned out of the ship's ramp, "Come on everyone, let's get this show on the road." Everyone piled into the Ghost and it took off out of the new flagship and away from the fleet making the jump to hyperspace. Leaning back in her chair she stretched out to get comfy. "Alright it's a long hyperspace lane to Hutt Space, so let me get some shut eye." Hea said as she propped her feet up on the dashboard.

Kanan leaned in "That means everyone out but Chopper."

Walking out of the cockpit, Kanan walked into the lounge to see Rex getting ready for a holochess game, "May I join you?" Kanan asked.

"You've got the next game, right now it's time to finish this." Rex said as Ahkilleon walked in and jumped onto the chair across from Rex, a holomatch. The pieces on the round table were already set up in a gridlock of moves.

"I've got you this time, old man." Ahkilleon said.

Rex chuckled "Oh the folly of youth." Rex said as he moved his gundark to Ahkilleons Nessu, and the game resumed. In the doorway Ezra watched Ahkilleon act as if nothing was wrong from what happened the other day aboard the carrier, he noticed Sabine walk behind him helmet under her arm.

"Hey Sabine you got a sec?" Ezra asked.

She turned around waiting for him, "Everything looks alright with Ahkilleon?"

"You mean how he had a crazy psychic panic attack the other day and seems totally fine?" she asked him, "Yes." Ezra said hands in the air, "Why is everyone acting like it didn't happen."

Sabine shrugged "He doesn't seem so bothered by it, if he says he's fine well… he's fine."

"But shouldn't we-" "Ezra, not everything needs a jedi to fix it, he says he's okay you should trust him." Sabine reminded him.

Ezra frowned "I want it just…. Forget it." He said about to walk off.

She followed him "Whoa, whoa hold up, I just meant that if Ahkilleon wants to talk about it we can, but he doesn't we shouldn't press him, he may become even more distant."

"Look at you, you would like Kanan." Ezra told her.

"Let's just say I know what it's like to not want to talk to people about problems alright." Sabine said, cutting his teasing short.

Eventually as the hours began to drag on from one end of the galaxy to another, the rebels each found things to keep themselves busy. Zeb had receded to his room to try and get some sleep, snoring loudly in his bunk. Hera was dozing off in the cockpit staying just enough awake in case anything were to happen. Kanan and Rex finally got their chance to play a round of holochess after Ahkilleon beat Rex. Sabine was painting a new mural in her already paint covered room, down below in the cargo hold Ezra was prepping for his first sparring match with Proxy.

"So what, he can reattach his limbs?" Ezra asked as Ahsoka was standing in front of Proxy working on his systems.

"Not exactly, Proxy was an experimental assassination droid before he was a holo protocol droid, the idea would be if he was ever in a blast he could fake an injury, or remove a limb needed to play a role, Proxy set Ezra's difficulty level to 6." Ahsoka said to the droid.

Proxy nodded, blinking his yellow optics, "Yes Mistress, shall I take a suitable enemy form?" he asked.

"No, just standard training." She said,

"As you wish." Proxy said walking out in front of Ezra.

The droid took a fighting stance and activated a blue lightsaber from his back to match Ezra's as he drew his, "Whenever you are ready." Proxy said.

Ezra swung and the droid deflected the incoming slash and parried, Ezra dodged and flipped away before Proxy chased, he swung again and Ezra moved at the last second to hit him across the arm, "Ha got-whoa!" Proxy swung around and kicked Ezra's feet out from under him, making him fall. Proxy held the blade to his neck and Ezra gasped.

"Did we forget to mention, Proxy has an adaptive matrix the harder you fight, the harder he'll fight back." Ahkilleon said, walking over, giving Ezra his hand.

He took it and Ezra looked at the droid, "Alright, ready to go again."

"You are the most optimistic Master Bridger." Proxy said.

This made Ezra smile, "I like the sound of that, Master Bridger." he said before engaging Proxy in the sparring.

Ahsoka watched him making sure he was holding his saber the right way, Ahkilleon stood beside her before she looked over at him, he felt her blue eyes linger on him, "Oooooh you mean you want me to do that meditation now?"

"What else are you going to do?" She asked.

Looking around the sound of the lightsabers bouncing off one another being the only noise in the room, "Fine." Ahkilleon said he headed up to the Phantom and shut the door as it was the only place he'd be able to meditate in peace. Sitting down Ahkilleon crossed his legs and took a deep breath like he'd done a thousand times before, he'd been meditating since before he could speak or walk so it was easy.

Making himself feel distant, he let all the noises and distractions fade away from him, eyes shut focusing on breathing, in from the nose till he focused on every part of his body from head to toes, he exhaled thinking of his body in reverse. Repeating the process before he started to block out all the noises, the sound of the hyperdrive and waving vortex of hyperspace around him. Kanan and Rex's voices swapping war stories in the lounge, Zebs snoring from his bunk, the spurts of paint from Sabines paint gun. The sparks from Ezra and Proxy training, but he was having trouble as he heard Ezra grunt and pant, he could feel the focus in Ezra mixed from aggression to restraint.

Trusting in his mothers training, he continued to meditate, eyes closed he focused on inner peace or on letting go. Soon he felt himself metaphorically adrift in the galaxy. Mentally he recited the Jedi Code to help him calm down:

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no emotion, there is peace. He tried to think of ways he could embody the code, to remember when he'd been tested by its tenants, he'd lost track of how many times he'd had an outburst or got upset with Hera or Kanan. He felt ashamed and made a mental note to apologize to Hera earlier.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. Again, he remembered his own folly of being ignorant or more arrogant when he challenged the Inquisitors aboard the medical station with Zeb, Ezra, Sabine and Chopper, but he had a good reason. But was that still enough reason to put his friends in danger for his own pride and vanity.

There is no passion, there is serenity. Ahkilleon had the most trouble with this one, and he knew it. Passion was such a vague word, it could go with any of the other lines was he passionately angry when Kanan or Hera called him out, was he passionately ignorant in his opinion about the Militia or his own skill, was he passionate when it came to wanting to be a good friend to Ezra, wanting to be better than he was before. It was why he trained so much, why instead of letting those angry emotions cloud his judgment he'd spar with Proxy till he was too tired to stand, channeling it into a more productive outlet. Was it ignorant to leave a conversation or an argument when you didn't have the answers, maybe… well probably he thought.l

His mind began to sway from where it should have been and he opened his eyes, having lost focus.

Laying down Ahkilleon pressed his hands above his head looking at the ceiling, underneath the floor of the Phantom, the hyperdrive engine rumbled softly, and it was warm too. It made his muscles relaxed and he found it easier to just lay there looking at the ceiling feeling his body decompress. He took out the device that Admiral Trench had given him, a small transmitter. He wondered how strong it was and if he should give it back when he arrived on Arcadia, those thoughts melted away as he grew tired and very… very… sleepy…

Ahkilleon was somewhere he'd never been before, walking between light and shadow, all around him he could see figures frozen in place unable to tell who or what they were. He felt cold, but there was also warmth. He wasn't alone.

Looking to his left he saw Ezra?

He was holding something, something glowing red in his hands talking to him? "Show me… show me… show me…" Ezra said over and over.

When Ahkilleon reached out to speak there was nothing that came out, he was mute even though he felt his mouth move, he walked up to Ezra but with every step he took Ezra grew further and further away in the darkness. Stopping he looked down to see his feet were moving but the ground wasn't, looking up Ezra was flashing in and out of the dark and light, dark and light and light.

Ezra wasn't the only one there, he looked behind him to see Kanan wandering, stumbling around. He was hunched over taking small steps "Where is it, where is it?" Kanan muttered.

Ahkilleon looked at his boots, he saw his lightsaber on the ground, the most sacred thing a jedi could own and Kanan was staring right at it but couldn't see it? Calling out to him it was the same as before, it was like his voice was taken from him.

He rubbed his neck and felt a sudden gasp of air out of his mouth, there was a tightening grip he spun around and saw a figure walking toward him cloaked in shadow with red skin marked with black eyes burning like flames he-

"Wake up!"

Ahkilleon snapped up from his dream to see Sabine standing over him, he blinked, still a bit sleepy but smiled. The memory and fear of the nightmare being replaced with her upside down face from a certain point of view. Without thinking before he said it "Are you sure I'm not still dreaming?" he teased.

Sabine rolled her eyes pushing back some hair behind her ear "Come on, di'kut*" she said in her native tongue.

"Maybe." Without rolling over he pulled his legs back and pressed off from his back onto his feet "But I'm gar di'kut* Rainbow."

She looked back puzzled as he thought it over, "Yeah forget I said that." Ahkilleon said, realizing he did sound like a di'kut.

"No, remembering to make fun of you for later." She said quickly heading to the bridge.

Everyone was gathered in it, Ezra was slouching in his chair, "You good?" Ahkilleon asked.

"That droid… it's a monster." Ezra wheezed, whipping some dried sweat from his brow. The Ghost was starting to slow down from Hyperspace when Hera turned around "Alright, this should be a simple in and out, we won't be here for long so once we drop out of hyperspace, Sabine scan wherever we are for anything resembling ships, space station, cities if Arcadia is anything like the Militia say it won't be hard to miss."

Sabine sat on the coms nodding, "On it."

Ahkilleon rubbed his hands together the nightmare still fresh in his mind, "Everything alright?" Ahsoka asked, sensing his tension.

"I… think I had a vision while I was meditating?" He said.

Quickly Sabine said "You mean napping?" ratting him out in front of everyone.

"You took a nap while I got my butt handed to me by your droid bro?" Ezra snapped back at him.

Kanan snickered, "What was the vision?" Kanan asked him.

"Well I-" Hear quickly interjected "Sorry to interrupt but Kanan, Ahsoka, counting on you two to keep us notified if we get any Jedi business heading our way?"

Kanan gave her a nod "We got you covered, talk about this later?" he asked the second part to Ahsoka.

"Agreed, we need to focus on the here and now." Ahsoka said giving her son an intense look with a strong but short nod to let him know they would talk about it.

"Ezra on the main gun, Zeb, Rex, Ahkilleon take the remaining ones."

"On it." Rex said, the three of them went to the back of the ship, "I call top gun." Ahkilleon said, scrambling to the ladder past Zeb to take the turret.

"Hey." Zeb snapped before Rex just smirked.

The Ghost dropped out of hyperspace into a nebula none of them had ever seen, there was a deep amber color to it with a teal mix, the nebula was puffy and thick like a cloud, but probably thousand upon thousand of leagues away from them. "Anything Sabine?" Hera asked.

"Scanning."

"What about you two?" Hera asked Kanan and Ahsoka, they held out their hands.

Kanan and Ahsoka had their eyes closed and reached out into the cosmic force when both of them opened their eyes "INCOMING!" Sabine shouted just as she spoke the entire Ghost was rocked by cannon fire. The surprise attack threw everyone off guard as they switched into action, "Damage report?"

Sabine spoke back instantly "That was a nasty hit, give me a second to assess the… damage whoa." Sabine said as a shadow was cast over them from the nearest sun. Coming into full view of the rebel ship was another one, a much larger one in fact. Ahkilleons eyes went wide as coming toward them as increasing speed was a dreadnought, a big one. The cruiser itself was so long and large it blotted out the nearby sun giving them a full view of it. Roughly the size of a star destroyer but instead of the long and wide arrowhead design this ship resembled the long and bulky designs of the Providence Class carrier/destroyers of the Separatists but without the dark blue paint. Or the open mouth of turrets most of them had instead it's front bow was an wedge shape design that came up to a fine point, the bulky middle part winding back with rows of turbo lasers, massive bay doors on it's starboard and port side and to it's rear rose a short tower with a bridge that had glass windows on it. Even from the smaller ship Ahkilleon could see figures moving from the bridge windows. Its rear har large engines from what Ahilleon could see five maybe four in the back he wasn't sure. But he heard Rex whistle "Now that is one big ship, how big do you think it is 1,500 meters, nah has to be over 1,600." Rex said, talking to himself.

"We can marvel at it later, we got movement." Hera said just as the bay doors to the ship opened and a swarm of Hawk-class starfighters flew out from it, right towards them.

Hera swerved around "Chopper get ready to make the jump-" Chopper beeped at her "What do you mean the Hyperdrive was damaged." Before Hera could finish her sentence she saw the blinking light on the dashboard for the comlink "Hera?" Sabine asked, "I'll stall them and Chopper gets working on the hyperdrive.

"Attention VCX-100 light freighter, call sign Ghost, surrender your ship and follow our fighters back to the hangar, do not and be fired upon." The voice was mechanical, maybe a droid or a cyborg.

Hera cleared her throat "You have us confused… whoever you are, we're simple explorers looking to-" the fighters opened fire immediately at her ruse.

"So much for that!" Hera took evasive action and flew away from the fighters away from the dreadnought, "Keep those fighters off our tail." Hera said as the Ghost ran away from them.

Zeb started shooting but everywhere he shot a dozen more of the Hawks were there, moving fast and quick "Hera, they have more ships then we have guns." Zeb said back.

"Yeah, but they can't fly with a-" Rex started to say before he was hit close to his gunner seat on the Phantom.

Sabine snapped her head back "Hera, I've got a small planet not far from us."

"Our best bet is to lose them." Hera said, seeing it out of the corner of her eye, a small marble of blue green and gray, "Everyone hold on." Hera said, punching the Ghost to its near limit. The Ghost rocked away from the fighters but when they caught on to where she was going they chased after her like the devil himself. Ezra looked at the planet they were approaching. It was covered in pale green land masses with beige mountains rising from its central landmasses and a blue ocean "Is that Arcadia?" He asked.

Hera dove for the planet and started to pass through the clouds, "We're about to find out, the thick atmosphere they flew into was mostly fog and she had to rely on the ships sensors to navigate before she came to the lower skies. Ezra peaked out down below to see more than just mountains; they were flying over what looked like hinterlands covered in a mix of tall pine trees, the thick fog of the clouds turning to snow whipping past them in hundreds of small bits of snowflakes. Hera also noticed the Militia Hawks were back and closing in "Heraaaa can we lose them in this storm?"

"We have to, Sabine, try to find a cave or a gorge- something to hide us." Hera said, trying to think of a way to get the advantage.

Everyone held on as the Hawks began their second attack, the gunners trying to hold them off. Ahkilleon was shooting at them but he started to think of the ship over Ryloth, all those souls, then he thought of the stormtrooper he killed to save Ezra "Come on you lousy clankers!" Rex shouted from below seeing how the Hawks looked similar to the Vulture droids only bigger and longer, with cockpits. Looking at the Ghost he didn't mean to open himself up to the force but he could feel they weren't droids.

"They aren't droids… those are pilots in there." Ahkilleon said freezing.

"It's them or us." Hera said, while the Hawks flew closer and closer.

Ahsoka spoke up then, "No, that first shot was to disable the hyperdrive. The rest of these ships aren't aiming for the cockpit or the turrets, they want us alive." Ahsoka said seeing them shoot ahead of them "They're trying to herd us somewhere?"

"Probably so they can torture us for information and then kill us, I feel so much better." Kanan said being overly dramatic. They then took a hit to the rear, Zeb was thrown from his chair in the Phantom before he got up to see the left engine was in flames.

"We've been hit!" Hera shouted as they started to lose altitude, fast.

The ghost scraped over the snow topped pines while Hera tried to keep the Ghost aloft. Thick gray rocks reaching up almost as tall as the trees as they were close to one of the mountains, when one of the Hawks flew right at them. They saw the cockpit pop up and a pilot go flying out before popping a shoot followed by an astro droid, of what model they couldn't say because Hera swerved hard right to avoid a head on collision with the fighter but now she was too low to pull up and she crashed right into a thicket of trees sending the Ghosts nose straight down "HOLD ON!" She screamed.

The Ghost crashed into the ground with a tremendous smash tearing up tough hard ground, uprooting at least a dozen trees and boulders before it came to a halt. As the smell of smoke and sound of sparks jolted across the ship, "Sound off who's not dead?" Kanan asked, holding his head.

There was a chorus of moans and wincing noises.

"I think I scratched my paint?" Sabine said under her helmet that she'd manage to get on before they crashed.

Ahkilleon was strapped into the top of the ship, his head spinning from being thrown around in his seat, looking to the snowy skies. The Hawks were flying overhead much like their ancestor ships namesakes. But what got his attention was the thick shadows coming down from the clouds, drop ships.

"Guys we got company!"

Everyone snapped to getting up from their chairs, grabbing their weapons. Hera looked around at the Ghost the state she was in, panels had been knocked loose, wires hung from the ceiling and the cockpit was cracked in some spots. She couldn't bear to think of what the outside looked like but what was worse was Ahsoka was bent over Kanan's chair trying to get up, "Ahsoka?" Ezra rushed to her to see her reach back behind her head to hold out her hand.

It was covered in dark orange liquid, Ezra looked over to see the back of her lekku had a gash running over the blue and white skin of her montreal, "Ahsoka's hurt!" Ezra shouted

"Mom!" Ahkilleon shouted as he slid down the ladder.

Forcing herself to her feet Ahsoka wobbled to the doorway "I'm fine we… we need to get out of here."

"But what about the Ghost?" Ezra asked, looking at Hera.

As painful as it was to say it, Hera stumbled to get it out "... We can always come back for her." she said, grabbing her blaster.

"Not going to be going out the ramp, it's jammed underneath the ground." Kanan said.

"Portside exit, go, go." Hera barked, everyone ran for the portside door, Rex coming up to help Ahsoka "Lean on me Commander."

"I'm fine." Ahsoka said, pushing him away as Zeb pried the door open and they all ran out, a brisk frozen wind hit them all in the face as they landed on partially covered grass, the crunch under their boots echoing with each one of them getting off. In the distance they saw shapes of ships dropping out of the sky in the thick woods. The rumbling of the engines familiar to Rex's old ears, "Drop ships."

"That means troops." Kanan said blasters were drawn scanning the tree line for any hostiles. Meanwhile Hera had got a chance to see the Ghost, it was almost too much to bear. The Ghost's haul was beaten to hell from the crash. The right engine was still smoking, its left side haul was wrinkled up on the cold ground and stone "Hera we have to move." Kanan snapped at her.

Sabine had her pistols out, "Where?"

"High ground…" Ahsoka said with her eyelids heavy "We need to get higher… ground."

"You're in no condition to travel, Commander." Rex said coming up to her.

Chopper, who had been scanning the area, spoke up in the siren of alarming beeps. Sabine looked west and turned on her helmet's sensors to see figures moving toward them, "Hostiles due west."

"Then we go east." Kanan said they ran around the Ghost with Rex making Ahsoka lean on him. Ahkilleon looked worried but she was moving so ran with the others into the cold forest. The hinterlands they were in were filled with thick pine trees surrounded by boulders the ground a mix of fallen snow that fell between the trees, thick bushels of grass in the woods and dried mud turned to black dirt. Soon the ground began to invert into a slow climb and Kanan held his hand up hearing something.

It was faint, and Rex raised his helmet looking mortified "I never thought I'd hear that sound again." he whispered. It was a rhythmic beat, like a heavy drum.

"Me neither." Kanan said drawing his lightsaber, only instead of a thump, thump, thump.

"What is it?" Ezra asked to take out his lightsaber, hearing it more closely clank, clank, clank.

Rex drew one of his pistols, the other arm holding, Ahsoka "Battle droids."

CLANK CLANK CLANK

Marching out of the fog of snow, in a straight row were B5 battle droids heading right toward them in parade formation. Without wasting time the rebels opened fire and fire was returned in thick green bolts of lasers from the droids E-7's. The second the droids were fired upon they broke rank and got behind cover of the trees. Zeb took out his borifle taking out a few before one of them got a lucky shot on his right forearm burning fur and flesh, "Karabast-" Zeb snapped, grabbing his arm and taking cover.

"Left, left." Kanan shouted, leading the rebels across the rising forest.

The B5's followed and soon they were getting shot out from the lower parts of the woods, "There they are!" a voice shouted, Zeb looked back to see Militia regulars chasing them over the snow that was now falling heavier now.

"Keep moving, keep moving." Kanan ordered lightsabers in one hand blaster in the other, Sabine and Ezra shot back at the B5's that were getting closer and closer, their metal legs carrying them faster than they could run. One of them leapt at Hera tackling her to the ground, Ahkilleon appeared with an orange saber in hand slicing its head off making it go limp.

Ahkilleon helps her up "Sorry about before, I was a real jerk."

"Now's not the time." She said grabbing his hand to drag him along "Now may be the only time."

They ran around what was a hill of frost pines and then descended into a lower part of the forest, rushing over a freezing brook of water and smooth stones, their feet splashed over it. "More up ahead." Zeb pointed to see B5's and Militia regulars coming from ahead of them, they looked back and to their right to see the first group of Regulars and B5's cleaning toward them. "The only way to go now was north west and maybe slip through their lines, we could get to the Phantom it would be a tight fit but it could work." Kanan suggested.

"Let's do it." Hera said quickly and they kept fleeing.

The cold air made everyone's lungs burn as they ran back to the Ghost, Ezra heard the dropships engine rumbling overhead and saw a blur of something fly by when suddenly six blurs dropped down crashing right in front of them kicking up dust and snow. he rebels finally got a look at their attackers, metal armored militia but they had different equipment then the ones they'd seed on Lothal, welded around them was an exoskeleton suit lining their back, chest, outer arms and outer legs hooked up to their joints and their helmets were identical to commando battle droids faceplate two glowing white eyes like circles cut in half. They carried no blasters but instead on heavy gauntlets that were armed with two barrels on left or right, depending on their dominant hand. The non dominant hand had a large blocky sheath on it, and some of them opened them up to reveal a red hot two foot long short blade.

Just then the forces that had been chasing them caught up they were surrounded by a full battalion of Militia Regulars and battle droids all of them wearing the gray armor, but this unit was marked with white stripes running down their armors arms, and down their helmets in a single stripe, along with it goin down their legs with different vector markings on their chest plates being stained with snow camouflage patterns. One of the Militia soldiers walked forward holding two Militia revolvers, an officer by the kama he wore around his legs and shoulder pauldron on his left shoulder. He had a single stripe running over the top of his helmet with the two antennas bent back. Welded onto the top of his helmet, in addition to the white stripe on his helmet he had the split same jaig eyes on his helmet's brow like Rex's, this officer had metal plume sharpened to a fine edge on his helmet. The officer made note of Rex and Ahsoka, while everyone formed a defensive circle with lightsabers and blasters raised.

"Lay down your weapons." the Militia Commander ordered "Or we will lay them at your graves." he said as he aimed his pistols toward them.

None of the rebels spoke, everyone looked at Kanan or Hera, Rex looked at Ahsoka who had one of her lightsabers out ready to fight. Rex seeing they were outnumbered turned to Kanan, who knew it too, he looked at Hera and she begrudgingly lowered her arms "They win this round." Kanan said.

He set down his lightsabers and dropped their weapons as the Militia troopers approached them, a few came forward to gather up their weapons. Hera made note that for every Militia soldier she saw there were triple that in B5 battle droids. She gasped when they spotted a familiar face or hidden one of two. Coming out of the brush with the soldier parting for him. Was Lord Asimov, and behind him wearing a brown trench coat and beret was Jek Lawquane. He wore a belt around his waist with a blaster tucked into it, hiding armor underneath, coming up behind them wearing a fur lined cloak with a silver emblem of the Jedi order pinned to keep the cloak around his shoulders as Lord Asimov.

"Well done Commander Sigma." Lord Asimov said as the lightsabers were picked up, and brought to him. He took them and clipped them to his belt, next to his own giving him a total of six sabers dangling around his hip.

Commander Sigma turned to Ahsoka and Rex, who gave a nasty glare under his helmet, "What do we do with the prisoner's my Lord."

"Tend to their wounds, and escort them to the outpost, alive." Lord Asimov said, sighing and shaking his helmeted head "We just had to do this the hard way." he said as a group of Militia with backpacks came up, they had red crosses on their shoulders and helmets, with them was a B5 droid covered in satchel bags, hip pockets on a belt carrying medical supplies, written on the droids forehead was the word 'Nurse'.

The lead one spoke "Okay, who's messed up?" it was a woman's voice, but her helmet hid her face.

Ahkilleon pushed up front "My mom, her head- her lekku, it's got cut."

Rex early let Ahsoka sit down on a nearby rock, as the Militia forces remained around them, watching. The towering Militia Exo's stood as tall as Zeb, as the Militia Medic tended to Ahsoka "Give me two bacta patches and bandages, help the others after Nurse." The B5 droid named Nurse handed her what she asked for before turning to Rex.

"Are you injured, trooper." the droid asked, their voice was a lower pitch then the B1 droids, but not as baritone as the B2 or commandos.

"Go to hell!" Rex snapped.

He was answered by Commander Sigma holding his blaster toward him, "Easy old man, that's my friend you're talking to."

Rex snarled at the Commander Sigma, "Easy." Kanan said coming up to him, Sigma turned to Kanan and lowered his pistol, seeing he was the reasonable one. Sigma holstered his pistols, there was no shortage of guns aimed at the rebels.

"Who else is wounded?" Sigma asked, Kanan turned to the others and looked at them. Hera was unscathed except for her pride, and her ship. Zeb was holding his forearm somewhere in all the crashing and running. His arm had suffered a cut, so he tried to hide it with his paw. Ahkilleon was alright except for being out of breath, Sabine's armor had protected her as usual but Ezra was wobbling back and forth, "Ezra?"

Kanan walked up to him and said "Why are you shouting?" Ezra winced when he heard him.

Walking up to him, Kanan noticed Ezra had a welt turning purple on his forehead, "Nurse?" Commander Sigma said.

Instinctively Rex got between the droid and Ezra, "Rex, buddy let the droid help."

"This is a battle droid, not a medical droid." Rex growled.

"Correct, I am BT5-1900, you may call me Nurse, I have upgraded with field medic protocol and am able to treat over six hundred forms of sentient injuries. From the younglings' wobbling and sensitivity to noise, he has a concussion." the droid said.

Kanan looked over at him and held up his hand, "How many fingers?" Kanan asked with two up.

"Four." Ezra said, confirming the droid's prognosis.

Kanan led Ezra over to a nearby log and sat him down, "Take it easy from here on." Kanan ordered, as Nurse walked up to him reaching into one of his patches the droid produced a canteen and some capsules. Ezra looked at Kanan who nodded and the droid handed him the capsules and then the canteen for Ezra to drink.

"You will be fine in the next twenty four hours, avoid heavy movement until then." the droid said before walking over to Zeb looking at his arm. The Lasat was snarling at him before Kanan gave him a nasty glare.

Overhead Hera saw a set of dropships with magnetic cables carrying away her prized possession: her Ghost, "What the hell are you doing with my ship?"

"Taking it to our outpost, we could always drop it in some canyon or from orbit." Commander Sigma said, she glared at him like the rest and Sigma got closer to her "You got something to say rebel?"

Kanan got between them. "No, she doesn't, thank you for treating our wounded." Kanan said, still keeping his cool.

"All done.'' The Militia medic said, they reached for their helmet and removed it to reveal a woman with purple hair, blue skin and yellow stripes on her chin and forehead, a pantorian, her hair was cut in a pixie cut. Reaching into one of her pockets she produced a fag and lit with with a lighter "Never understand why you flyers never where helmets, Nurse you done." She asked.

"Yes Doctor." Nurse said as she walked off with the cigarette in her mouth, Nurse finished wrapping up Zebs arm and then left to join her.

Sigma turned to them, "She good to travel?" Sigma asked the medic.

"Slow steps." the medic called back.

Commander Sigma paused looking over Ahsoka, he walked around her all eyes on what he would do "My orders are to escort you to our outpost, can you move?"

Ahsoka answered him by getting to her feet standing tall in front of him, "Let's just get this over with." She said powering through the pain.

"Yes ma'am." He said in a monotone move "Move out!" he shouted.

The Militia forces escorted the rebels up the stream that started to grow into a stairway of falls and rapids freezing up as they went higher and higher. The ground had more snow on it too, enough to make them all shiver. Ahkilleon came up beside his mother "Mom… what about Proxy?" he whispered.

"With any luck, he got out of the ship, for now don't talk to him." She whispered.

"How's your head?" Ahkilleon asked.

She gave him a wink. "Give your mom some credit, I've been through worse." she said as the ground went from a steep rise to a steady incline. That's when Ezra noticed a tower of smooth stones stacked from wide to narrow with a cloth blowing in the wind. Then another and another, the trail they were hiking up was lined with them. Then the path turned from dirt to cobbled steps that led higher and higher the air crips as the cold wind. Among the trees the Hera tapped Kanan's arm with her hand she spotted hiding in a crows nest among the trees where a white cloak was a Militia with a long sniper rifle, making Kanan wonder how many more were there. As they grew closer to the summit they could hear the sounds of ships flying overhead back and forth.

"What's going on?" Ezra asked, even with a concussion he was still inquisitive.

Jek Lawquane who was walking with Sigma turned his head, "We're leaving, this outpost is compromised oh that reminds me." Jek said reaching into his coat, he pulled out Kanan's tracker and tossed it to him.

"Did you really think we wouldn't have protocols for this kind of thing?" Jek scoffed, shaking his head. Kanan squeezed the device tight but didn't let his anger get the better of him.

They continued to follow their escort till they reached wider steps carved out of solid rock, two large platforms leading up. Snow had been brushed away by feet moving all around and as they reached the top stoep they were at the entrance to ancient citadel, the stone had been carved from the face of the mountain from the steps, to the arches lining the path leading up and up to crumbling temple, whatever splendor and grandeur it had once held was now lost to time and the Militia technology built into the snow covered stones. All around it crates were being loaded up, battle droids loading up stuff into crates and lining them over to a cleared courtyard there a ship landed. It was a strange design to be sure unlike anything they'd seen before but the longer Rex looked at it the more he saw the resemblance of the Low Altitude Assault Transport or LAAT gunships.

"Those look like Republic gunships." Rex said, but they didn't instead of the solid white with red tints on the wings, this gunship was larger than the LAAT model he used, its wings a sleeker sharp design along with its head. There was more room in the bay doors that were being stacked with all of the stuff the Militia was packing up. And the front of the ship had the face of a HMP droid gunship, it had the colors of one too with red eyes, speaking in droid to a Militia officer, beside him stood a Quarren wearing a green jumpsuit with a harness around his legs, a fur collar holding a back helmet with a orange tinted visor. He had a flight cap on and walked over to Sigma. Hera noticed there was an R5 unit with him, yellow and blue and she grimaced.

"Told you it would work." the quarren said out of his tendril mouth.

"Take it to the pilot who launched his ship at us before bailing?" Hera asked, spitting out into the snow.

The Quarren, male, laughed clapping his leather gloves "Haha with flying like that sister how else was I gonna stop you, shame about that ship, the VCX-100 are truly remarkable." Just as he said he raised his hand over to where the Ghost was, she was beaten up pretty bad still and getting covered in snow by the minute as she'd been left out in the cold in another courtyard cleared of Militia tech. "I do feel bad having to shoot you down, truly Quarrens love a good ship and I-" "Nemo." Sigma cut him off.

Nemo spun around "Whazzat?"

"Assist with the evac, I'm taking these prisoners to Lord Asimov." Sigma said.

Nemo gave a playful flyboy salute "Roger, Roger."

Being led deeper through the ruins, the Militia presence showed they had been at this place for a long time. There was writing on some of the older structure walls, holes had been made in them to allow heat and plumbing. All of which was now being dismantled as Militia regulars were walking with bags into more gunships "You combined the LAAT's with HMP gunships, how does that even work?" Hera asked aloud.

"I didn't design them." Commander Sigma said he stopped when Ahsoka leaned on a nearby wall, her injury taking its toll. "Besides, we don't call them HMP's or LAAT's."

Ezra, feeling better, asked "What do you call them?"

"You always ask this many questions as a prisoner?" Commander Sigma asked him.

There was a long awkward pause as Ezra felt everyone looking at him, apparently true "BATS, we call them BATS, Battle Atmosphere Transport Ship."

"We need to rest." Ahkilleon said urgently seeing his mother wasn't still up to move all that much.

Sigma signaled some of his men to continue on, but the majority stayed walking up. Sigma reached at his belt and held up his canteen. Ahkilleon took it, opening it "Here mom." She took one whiff of it and her face scrunched up, it was whiskey "It'll warm you up, and numb some of the pain, Mist-… Miss." he said, correcting himself. Hera and Kanan shared a brief look as something was definitely different from the others around them, not just from being an officer.

Hera looked at all the Militia regulars around them, the majority were human but closer she could see or guess from their builds what species there were. From the different helmet designs most were humanoid, but she could see one helmet shaped like a triangle with wraps around it, the way the visor was angled she guessed he was a quarren. Not far up the trail she saw a twi'lek, the back of their helmet had been removed and they had a segmented metal guard on their lekku. There was at least one ithorian by the fact he was holding a minigun and didn't wear a helmet but did have armor on his arms and legs, with plates around his chest. There were two tall skinny as twig figures chatting under long helmets Muun maybe or very tall Cereans? She couldn't tell due to their armor covering their bodies.

"What about the medic?" Ahkilleon asked when Ahsoka took a big gulp, "I'm fine."

"Commander Tano you need-" "I'm fine." Ahsoka cut Rex short before he could protest.

They continued up the citadel steps till they reached a higher levels that went up to a large ancient villa built into the side of the mountain, from up above they could see the whole citadel. There were over three dozen buildings, some of them new being torn down, others ancient. From up above it was an ancient fortress that looked like it could withstand a siege from the ground but abandoned long ago for the Militia to take over. But on the villa platform, there was a large open area with a flaming brazier lit. Lord Asimov stood over an ancient stone table beside it in front of him was a white cloth lay on it with all the jedi and Ahsoka's lightsaber laid out on it.

"This ancient holdfast was built thousands of years ago by a lost people, we've uncovered a few artifacts here and there." Asimov said hands hovering over the lightsabers "But no sign of contact with Jedi, Sith, Hutts or Empire makes a person feel small." Commander Sigma and his men stood guard as the rebels looked at Asimov's armored back, the fur on his collar blowing in the wind as the fire crackled. "Sigma, dismiss your men." Lord Asimov said, Sigma did as he was asked and the regulars departed to go help stripping the outpost. Commander Sigma walked over to Asimov and reached up, taking off his helmet. Much to the adults surprise they saw he was a tan skinned man, with brown eyes, a large nose black haired combed back in a neat mullet with a straight square jawline, he looked like Rex but younger with darker hair, Ezra and Ahkilleon looked at him seeing he couldn't be older than thirty "A clone?" Rex gasped.

"One of the last." Lord Asimov said turning around "A defect some would say, Sigma was one of the only survivors of Kamino after the Empire destroyed it to stop the them from ever building their own clone army."

Rex looked at him, and Sigma turned, speaking with the same voice "I would have died if I wasn't rescued."

"But we aren't here to talk about the past, we've done enough of that, did you honestly think we would let you find our stronghold among the stars?" Lord Asimov asked them "Where our families are, where our army t

rains, our fleet is built, what do you take us for, imperial customs officers, too terrified to report anything missing for fear of punishment?" Asimov asked, turning over to the rebels.

Ezra looked over at Kanan and Hera, hearing it said aloud it did seem like they were being overconfident, "You aren't giving us many options, Asimov?" Hera said.

"Many options? Stars above we've offered you an alliance, a fleet of your own, safe harbor on Arcadia I might ad, if you'd accepted you could have come to Arcadia with us after the Juggernaut?" Lord Asimov scoffed, holding his hands out.

Everyone who wasn't present for the conversation about Cabal One between the Militia, Kanan, Hera and Ahsoka gapped "They what?" Ahkilleon asked, shocked.

"Oh, you didn't tell them, yes we offered your leaders everything they could dream of." Lord Asimov said walking toward them, "Ships, weapons, soldiers under their command if they joined us, but no, because they are blinded by your own self righteous indignation." Lord Asimov said with disgust walking away.

Hera spat on the stone "You don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't I?" Asimov asked, turning his helmeted head around "You only ever saw the Galaxy from the Republic's side, the noble Jedi, the righteous clone troopers heading into the outer rim to stop the evil separatists, liberating Ryloth and other planets like it."

Rex then barked out "If you really were a jedi you would have known the Separatists needed to be stopped."

"No, they needed to be listened to, like you need to listen now. And even when we tell you the other side you refuse to listen" Lord Asimov snapped at the adults, before he sighed and shook his head he held his hand up... That is why a lesson is needed." Lord Asimov said regretfully.

Ahsoka turned to him "Lesson?"

Lord Asimov waked over to the stone table and leaned on it, head bowed like he bore a great weight on his head. "Lady Tano… Ahsoka, if only we had seen what the war had done to you, to all of us…" He said his voice trailing off he spoke softly it was almost hard to hear him "... we were all just children. Even you, Captain Rex, you didn't even get to be a child before you were forced to be a soldier… even though I wanted to be part of it, what kind of people train children for war." Lord Asimov said reaching up for his helmet, no one was sure where he was going with this but they were curious to see the man underneath the helmet. "I dreamed of killing a General of the Separatists, it wasn't years later I learned he was once a great Freedom Fighter, leading his people against a corporate oppressor, the Republic sent Jedi to crush his rebellion… They killed his wife, and he was turned into a monster."

Lord Asimov lifted off his helmet, and they saw claw-like scars reaching around the back before the man turned around, his skin was dark, eyes a pale green, his brows were black and the only hair on his head was cut short to the roots in a buzz with the scars running through them. The left side of his face was covered in burn marks having melted the flesh into dark red patches around his eye, temple cheek and ear, the right had four scars wrapped around his head, one going over his eye brow leaving it split, part of his ear sliced and healed wrong. His nose looked like it had been broken and reset over and over. But what shocked the rebels the most, was the look of sadness in those pale green eyes, no animosity, no anger or hatred, just sadness. "I tried to fight like you once, we thought we could make a difference the same way." he said looking at the helmet, the face of Asimov.

"P… Petro." Ahsoka gasped and shook at who she saw, not the smiling corellian boy cocky and brave, but a man scared and somber.

"Wait, I thought Petro died?" Ahkilleon asked aloud.

Asimov or Petro, rubbed the helmet "He did die, years ago after the Inquisitors caught him. He led a group of renegade Padawans, freedom fighters, Katooni, Gungi, Zatt, Byph, Ganodi; they all looked to him to keep them safe. He trusted in the Jedi way, Petro believed in it even as the Empire grew stronger he knew they had the force with them and that their cause was just… Until it wasn't." he said as if Petro was a different person.

Raising his head, Lord Asimov looked at Ahsoka "He thought he wanted to be like Leo Rock, when after the Empire rose he wanted to be like you Ahsoka, brave, strong, putting others before himself, not blindly following orders that was what a true jedi- a true Hero did." Asimov said before he slid his helmet back on his face. "But being a Hero, means making hard choices that is why you must be shown the error of your ways."

"If you kill us, more will come after you, the entire Rebellion will come crashing down on your Militia." Hera warned him, Ezra and Ahkilleon couldn't tell if she was serious or bluffing to try and dissuade Asimov.

But Lord Asimov shook his head "No, no killing. It is not the way of the New Jedi to kill their prisoners or to take children from parents, but we cannot stand idly by why you endanger and brainwash younglings." Lord Asimov said.

"What, brainwash, are you insane?" Kanan asked as more of the Militia soldiers started to come up around them.

Ignoring him the Warlord spoke "We are taking the children you put in harm's way, for their own protection." Lord Asimov said as the Militia regulars divided the adults and the teens from one another.

The rebels looked shocked at the idea of being separated, "That's not happening." Ahsoka said before Jek appeared holding a datapad.

"A-ah, I wouldn't if I were you." Jek said before Ahsoka could try anything, he pressed the holopad and a hologram of Phoenix Nest appeared, surrounded by the rebel fleet. "You know, you should really check the inner walls of your new ships, a great place to hide locator beacons, especially when Daddy and daughter are having a family feud, press one button and the entire Imperial fleet will know where your squadron is, consider it insurance." Jek said or Agent Grim as he was known gave a side eye to Hera letting them know he put it on the ship during the Ryloth mission.

"Cowardly sack of-" "Enough!" Lord Asimov snapped at Kanan his voice was deep and powerful like a storm, his patience had finally run out. "This is not a negotiation, this is not an ultimatum, this is what is happening." Asimov walked toward Kanan and Hera standing in front of them as the wind whipped his fur lined cloak "We are taking these three with us, and to remind you again that we are not the Empire. We will leave you here with enough supplies to repair your ship, and rations to survive for as long as it takes to restore your ship or be rescued. What you do then is up to you, consider this my mercy." He stood over them as Jek folded his arms smugly along with Sigma hands on his belt holding his helmet under his arm "You-loose."
