Season 4 Chapter 7: The Pursuit's Hunt

If Kusanagi were to be honest, he was conflicted about Revolver and the Knights of Hanoi. They had tried to activate the tower of Hanoi to eliminate the entire network. That cannot be forgiven. Also, they were the ones who had kidnapped Jin and the others 10 years ago... However, knowing him, he was a man in his word. He will honor what he has promised when he, with his Knights, will look over Link Vrains. Moreover, they do not have a reason to go against each other as all of the Ignis have vanished from his world. They are rather repentant for their crimes.

Agreeing to Revolver's alliance once again, he contacted Soulburner and Blue Maiden regarding their alliance with the Knights of Hanoi on their investigations with World Traveler, someone who might be involved with Playmaker's disapperance. While they had their reservations, they had agreed to listen in for Playmaker. After all, Playmaker is the one who had helped them. They are willing to do what it takes to help him.

So here they are. Unnamed, Soulburner and Blue Maiden in an isolated area of Link Vrains awaiting for Revolver to arrive. Shortly after, a barrier formed. As they had expected, Revolver and Specter soon appears.

"So you are here, Unnamed, Soulburner and Blue Maiden." Revolver noted.

"What have you found about World Traveler?" Blue Maiden went straight into the topic.

"World Traveler's real identity is Akechi Kira. Aged 15, he first appeared in Link Vrains a year ago. The deck he had used was the Mekk-Knights, the one of the seven decks in the World Legacy Archetype, which he claims to have owned the entire archetype. According to his background, there isn't much about him, aside his education. However, he seems to have connections to the 6th lost incident victim."

"What? The 6th victim? That means it must be Windy's partner, the ignis who had orchestrated an accident against his partner!" Unnamed responded.

"Thats right. The originator of the Wind Ignis. We had presumed that he had passed away from that accident. However, that incident had managed to cut our track of him by an outside influence. Knowing that his connection with World Traveler exists, his existance cannot be presumed to be dead. If he is alive, World Traveler might have captured him sometime during our infiltration in Mirror Link Vrains to the Dark Ignis's rebellion. However, we don't just investigate him. We have his account tracked. The next time he logs into Link Vrains, we will be informed of his current location in Link Vrains. As soon as we get close to his proximity, we will lock him out from logging out of Link Vrains, trapping himself until..." It was at this moment that a sound interupted Revolver.

"This is it... World Traveller has logged in. I will send you his location over. Meet me at the designated location for an ambush." Revolver explained as he deactivated the barrier. Unnamed logged out as the rest prepared their D-boards to move.

Despite being branded as a someone who had a hand in Playmaker being missing, World Traveller knows that this was a baseless accusation. He had thought about being not going into Link Vrains for awhile, but he decided against it for it would make him seem more guilty for his actions. So while he kept his head low in Link Vrains, his desire to be a better duelist compelled him to duel against someone. Right now, in the field, he is in a speed duel controlling Guardragon Pisty, Guardragon Elpy while his opponent only controls Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

"Since Guardragon Pisty and Guardragon Elpy is pointing towards the same unused monster zone, Guardragon Elpy's effect: I special summon Guardragon Andrake (2000/600) from my deck. Andrake's effect, since it was special summoned from deck or hand, it's ATK is doubled until the end of the next turn (Andrake ATK: 2000 - 4000)." A whirlwind was created around Andrake as it roared.

"Battle! Andrake attacks Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" A green orb shined as the two headed dragon blew its breath at Red-Eyes. (World Traveler's opponent: 1600 - 0).

That was rather for annoying. Effect damages always had their way to inflict damage to him easily without going through his monsters. Remembering his duel against Blue Angel, he cringed, he didn't know which deck was more annoying. Before he thinks further into thought, he was surrounded by a 3 people. As he looked closer, he remembered who are his soon to be chasers. Revolver, the leader of the Knights of Hanoi and Soulburner. But he didn't know of the girl in blue.

"World Traveler, I suggest that you shall with us, we land somewhere and answer our questions."

"And why should I listen to you, we do not have any business with each other."

"Because if you don't, I will have to approach you directly myself in the real world." Revolver smiled. World Traveler gritted as he proceeded to log out. However, the log out function was locked.

"Though it wouldn't be necessary to do so since you are going to be with us for awhile."

"What exactly do you want with me?"

"Do exactly what Revolver has said and surrender Accesscode Talker to us."

"Like I am going to hand you over that card." World Traveler dropped his altitude before dashing off. Shortly after, Revolver, Soulburner and Blue Maiden gave chase.

Sora had just received a message from Akechi asking for his help. For a bunch of his pursuers are after him and he couldn't log out from Link Vrains. Sora, along with Sota, had knew that Akechi is World Traveler. And like with Sota, believed that Akechi is innocent and had in no way, met with Playmaker. Determined to help him, he wore his duel disk as he declared.

"Into the Vrains"

When Sora logged in, he grew a pair of metallic green wings, similar to the upper wings of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. He wears a white helmet with a blue visor and a blue microphone attached to the helmet. He also wears around the theme of white, wearing a white jacket and a white shirt inside and a white trousers. His jacket has stripes of green around. His eyes turned into blue. In here, he is no longer Sora Yagami, but is Zephyr.

As he logged in, he had met up with Thunder Emperor. They had planned to start their counterattack against World Traveler's pursuers once they have met up. As they look at each other, they both knew that they had the same idea as to what might have happened.

Soon enough, they had briefly met up with World Traveler. Which he had discussed their plan to take down his pursuers by dueling each pursers one on one.

Updog88: Well, glad to know you enjoyed it. I'm kind of excited of what will happen when the next chapter comes out.

This chapter is more of a setup to the next few chapters that will happen. Revolver, Soulburner and Blue Maiden are after World Traveler. World Traveler called Thunder Emperor and Zephyr for help. In terms of writing this chapter out, the only editing I did was to correct the spelling of certain words, such as "World Traveller".
