"Bubble!"
"Charmander counter with swift!"
The morning mist swirled as a orange lizard with a flaming tail flipped back onto it's feet, panting as it launched multiple stars into the mist. In it a dark figure appeared as multiple bubbles sped towards the lizard, revealing a small blue seahorse like Pokémon with scratches on it's face.
Diorite narrowed her eyes as her Horsea fought the Charmander. Yesterday she had decided to avoid going to town to take her chances in the Vermilion forest. Her goal was to compete in the Mulberry City's Pokémon contest before challenging gym leader Brock, however do to Pokémon thieves in the area she decided to amend her plans to go straight to the gym before making her way over to the city.
It also helped that many young and inexperienced trainers were using the forest as a Battleground to strengthen themselves before they made it to Pewter gym. As such se found herself fighting her current opponent with a current battle win streak of 3.
"Horsea hang on!" She yelled as the Charmander's swift broke through the bubble and slammed into her Pokémon.
"Hor-sea!" The Pokémon cried in pain as she slid back, visibly showing that she was definitely tired and weakened by the attack.
"Char charmander char!" The fire Pokémon taunted at it's opponent as it's master laughter filled the morning light.
She was annoying like that.
"Charmander get in there and use your scratch attack!" She commanded her Pokémon who charged with it's claws glowing.
Diorite frowned and narrowed her eyes before yelling out, "Use ink on the ground between you and Charmander!"
"Hor!"
Diorite watched as her Pokémon followed her command, spraying ink all over the ground. Charmander was not prepared as the little Pokémon's feet slid out from under it, making it fall to the ground hard.
"Use bubble Horsea!" Diorite watched as her pokemon followed her command through and let out a cheer as the attack hit dead on. The Charmander yet out a cry before fainting, eyes I swirling as its body could no longer take on any more punishment.
"Dang it." The trainer cursed as she took out her own Pokémon ball to recall her Pokémon. "I'll get you next time!"
"Yeah..." Diorite waved her off, not willing to deal with the girl anymore as she petted Horsea on the head with pride. Misty had gave her the Horsea as she already had one, saying that it would be useful. So far her fellow trainer had been right.
Diorite attempted not to shiver as the poison bug type Pokémon Weedle crawled on by, munching on a leaf. After a heated fight with a weedle that used poison sting, the poisonous bug Pokémon had earned her hesitation. Antidote tasted nasty when you had to protect yourself from the poison stings and that's all you had.
She never liked poison Pokémon before and she was doubtful it was going to change.
"Horsea?" The water Pokémon looked up at it's trainer with a tired, prideful expression on it's face as it stared at the Pokémon egg. The egg had been moving around like it was almost about to hatch for a while now before stopping. Diorite attempted to stay up most of the night to see if it would hatch but to no luck before she fell asleep and didn't do be before she had to start fighting minutes after waking up in the morning.
Rubbing her stomach she pulled out one of her rations she had packed for her trip along with some common Pokémon chow. Diorite carefully placed some in a bowl with some berries to heal her Horsea and some water for the Pokémon to drink.
"Horsea you're doing amazing!" Diorite encouraged her Pokémon which let out a cheer at the praise. Currently the young trainer and Pokémon were having a bout of a winning streak with six wins to zero loses. The tired Pokémon gave a tried cheer as it panted, clearly needing some rest. Plopping to the ground, Diorite held onto her Pokémon as it rested on her chest to recover some energy. Looking to the sky the young trainer smiled as sheshaded her eyes.
'Perhaps I could take a moment to close my eyes...'
.
.
.
Crack!
Horsea jumped off her trainer's chest with a start as a cracking rang out in the clearing. The sun was still high in the sky so they weren't asleep for too long, perhaps an hour or so.
Crack!
There is was again. Horsea hopped over to where the crack sounds were coming from. The Pokémon gave a happy cheer as it realized that the egg was starting to hatch.
"Mmmm... Ash no! That's my pudding!" Diorite muttered in her sleep making the water type pokemon roll her eyes.
'Humans are strange.' Horsea thought to herself as the sounds of the egg shaking and cracking out louder and louder. While the human was clearly gifted or lucky in leading her to six wins against other Pokémon, Horsea was still unsure of her new trainer. Therefore, she decided to not wake her up as the egg hatched. Nodding to herself, Horsea pushed over the bag to topple everything out of it. Her trainer's things fell to the grass while the egg rolled a few feet away.
-Inside the egg-
Naruto was frustrated as he punched and kicked at his prison. He felt trapped and he was never one to stay still. Soon he hear a crack as he hit one spot over and over. Mentally cheering he hit the same spot again and again making more cracks until a beam of light hit his face. Pulling his fist back he flung it at the light with all his strenght yelloing his name.
-outside-
"NARUUUTO!" With a burst of light the prison (an egg he wondered) shattered. Collapsing to the ground Naruto struggled to get to his feet. His body felt all wrong and he felt weaker. Groaning he let out a whine. "Naruto? Na na Naruto?" "OW! What's going on?"
"Horsea!" "Hello!"
Rubbing his eyes Naruto found himself face to face to... a blue sea horse? And why was it that everything was so big? Stumbling to his feet Naruto blinked as he looked at his... paws?
'What the?' Mentally panicking Naruto stumbled and tripped over something, making a surprised squeak.
"What!" Diorite awoke with a start as something fluffy landed on her face. Reaching up she pulled it off, only to see that it was a cutie baby Pokémon! "Kyaaa! Your so cute!"
"Naru! Naru! Naru!" "OW! OW! OW!" Naruto cried out as he suddenly found himself in the embrace of a massive girl, too shocked to understand why he was repeating his name over and over, just like in his dream with the pink floating cat thing. "Naru-to!" "Let go!"
"Horsea look! I've never seen this type of Pokémon before! Did you hatch from the egg little one?" Diorite gushed as she held up the green and orange foxlike Pokémon. "Never heard of a Naruto, I wonder what the Dex has to say. But I like the name. Your Naruto. I'm Diorite and that's Horsea. We're a family and today is your first day as a part of the world as a Pokémon!"
Placing Naruto on the ground Diorite hummed as she went to look for her pokedex. As she did so she let a green spread across her face. Naruto was so cute! True, if it was only a baby form it could change as it evolved, but if it was a single stage like a legendary then it only bet bigger. But she had never heard of a Naruto, but perhaps the international dex search could?
Horsea hopped around the confused young Pokémon. She had never seen anything like him, she could tell it was a he, but just because she hadn't seen anything didn't mean his egg didn't come from far away. He was clearly a humanoid canine with a fox tail and head. Yet his torso looked like it was covered by a jacket via dark, almost black, green fur that went down his arms like sleeves. His feet had sandal like patterns on his paws with the same dark coloring, the same with his hand-paws gloves.
Naruto was uneasy with all the attention he was getting, just what was going on?! "Nartuoooo!"
"Oh you must be hungry. Good thing mom packed some poke-chow for baby Pokémon." Diorite commented as she aimed her dex at Naruto.

"So your a fire and grass type huh? With Horsea we have all three base starter types." Diorite snapped her fingers on her right hand in excitement. Water, fire and grass covered most of the Kanto regional gyms with only Fuchsia gym... Diorite shivered at the thought of the poison master gym badge. Thunder and Psychic were at least type neutral, but Diorite wasn't one to think just because you have type advantage did not mean that your opponent and their Pokémon didn't have a counter move in their stash of tricks.
Naruto stared at the giant girl as she ranted. "Na? Naruto to ruto?" "Huh? What's a Pokemon?"
"We're Pokémon. I'm a Horsea, a basic water type and your senior." Horsea said with a cry as she wiggled her head fins at Naruto. "We Pokemon make up much of the world. You and I are known as trainer Pokémon, those chosen by human's to help them from waging battles to doing daily tasks. There are wild Pokémon that choose to live by their instincts and don't have a trainer. However often they are weaker than us trainer raised Pokémon."
Naruto nodded his head as he listened to Horsea talk. It sounded like a trainer was like a sensei, teaching the six under her or him to work together as a team instead of relying on only their own strength. And this talk of types... well he had no idea what types had to do with anything about why he was a Humanoid fox!
'This is all Sasuke's fault I'm sure.' Naruto grumbled in his mind as he yawned before noticing something odd. When the sun was out he felt more energetic than usual, but whenever a cloud blocked the sun he felt weaker. Just like now as the sun once more blocked by a sha-
"Fearow!" "Food!"
"Naruto! Run!" Diorite screamed as a large Fearow plunged from above at the young Pokémon! "Horsea! Use water gun!"
"Sea!" "On it!"
A blast of water launched from the sea horse Pokémon as Naruto trembled in fear as the large avian predatory bird came from above, claws glowing and extended. It screamed in rage as the water pushed it off course, denying him of his next meal. Snapping it's head its eyes narrowed as it took note of Diorite. It's eyes glimmered as it noticed the similarity of the trainer in front of him to the boy that threw a rock on his head when he was a Spearow only days before!
"FEAROW!" "Revenge!" It cried as it opened it's wing and flapped them. sending a gust of wind at the Pokémon and trainer in front of him. Horsea and Diorite both let out a cry as the wind pushed them back making the bird sneer.
"Na-ru-to!" "Leave them alone!" Yelled Naruto as he slammed his head into the bird Pokémon who only huffed in amusement before using steel wing to bash Naruto into the ground.
"Fear... fearow." "Weak... worthless." The bird laughed as it charged a tri attack before letting lose on the Horsea who tried to use bubble on the bird while it was focused on Naruto. The water Pokémon let out a weak cry as the lighting zapped her body with it's type effectiveness.
"Horsea!" Diorite screamed as her Pokémon collapsed on the ground, clearly weakened. Even after a rest the water type was still too tired from doing head to head battles in a row. Racing to her, she threw a poke ball the the bird. "Ha!"
It missed, but in his attempt yo avoid the ball Naruto was able to get out from under the bird. Grasping a rock, Naruto let out a yell as he threw it at the bird making it freeze. Slowly, the Fearow turned his head to glare at the young Pokémon. With a burst of speed, Naruto found himself trapped against a tree with the bird Pokémon's talcons around his neck, choking him.
"Fear... Row!" "Drill... Peck!"
"Naruto!"
As much fun as it would be to finish the fight, you'll have to wait for the next chapter to see what happens next.
Until then, bye
