She stared at her reflection in the water. Again she felt the same way - awful. Sakura thought she had managed to come to terms with what had happened. She knew, after all, that it wasn't her fault. However, she still blamed herself for it.
If she had asked her mother to pick her up from under the mall that day, where they had previously arranged to meet, rather than the park, things would have been different. Then maybe her mom would be here.
Sakura dipped her head under the water. She counted to ten. How long could she hold her breath? She didn't want to know. Sakura surfaced, wiped her hand in a towel, and reached for her phone. She dialed the number she could always count on.
"Yes?" the voice in the receiver spoke up.
"I feel bad."
"I'll be right there, Sakura."
"Thank you, Sasuke-kun," she whispered.
