Otou-san Travels On Unbounded

Author Zero Assassin

Date: April 11, Wednesday 2023

Notes: Zero Assassin, why does each chapter start only have the title, author, and notes? Why don't you put a chapter title in it? Well thoughts I don't know the chapter titles until I put the chapter up. There is a large fly on my screen. . . KILL IT WITH FIRE!

New note: I haven't looked at this in such a long time, and it has only recently come back to my mind. The recent thoughts 'What is Katsuo and Ren doing right now?' and think of what they could be doing. My mind is so NSFW.

LAST NOTE: I haven't looked at this for 5 years... I don't know who reads it, I dont see any reviews and honestly thats what kills a good story in progress. Kills motivation. So. I'm never writing for any of you ever again. This is all for me. This is what I want to read. Also, the last time you'll see these notes. I have other stories going on outside of check out:

Tapas, NinjaPhyre

Inkitt, Rowan Legend

Wattpad, PhantomMares @Phantommares

Reedsy, Rowan Legend

Knowing me, I won't be on here for another 5 yrs since I'm working on my Original works. Also thought I was much further along in this one. Oh well

Darkness rose with each passing day. It seemed as if being away for such an amount of time was tolling on his own mind and oddly enough personality. He didn't like being away from Katsuo for such a long time. He knew that Katsuo had to stay within the safety of the walls, but for such a free spirit to be trapped there could also be dangerous. He hoped that once those kids got a bit older to go on missions, he would be free to leave the walls. Unless Katsuo somehow attached himself deeply with those kids. . .

Ren decided not to think further on it. All he knew was that Katsuo and the kids were safe. For now. He had followed Katsuo up to the base and waited there. Desperately wanting to go down and see what was happening and what was taking so long. Until Katsuo emerged with bundles in each clones hands. Seeing them wasn't enough, he had to get a closer look.

They were tiny.

He was amazed at how small they were. He looked to the sleeping Katsuo holding a small child. The young baby was sound asleep, until he started to squirm.

"Ren, this isn't a good idea. . ."

"Shh, sleep little one. I won't let anything or anyone hurt you. You are in good hands," he gently rubbed the small boy's head. His heart tingled at the small gesture of calmness, and the shuddering sigh.

"You act like you are the father."

"Shh, this is Katsuo we're dealing with! If anything the guy's probably already awake because of your loud mouth!"

"We are on a mission! We can't be stopping-"

"Let's go on a patrol, Ren-san's got this handled."

"What are you talking about?"

"Katsuo won't wake up or even notice that Ren is there, let's go."

Ren stayed with all of them as much as he could. Wanting to hold them was far too great to pass up, taking them from Katsuo was easy, he didn't even wake up. He held Itachi in his arms, "you are far to precious to bring into this kind of world. Grow up strong and protect everyone, but don't be afraid to ask your brothers and father for help. They will always be there for you. I'll be out here watching over you on your missions."

Itachi cooed softly holding onto Ren's pinky.

"Good boy," Ren decided to hold onto Itachi while he went to the others and picked them up, after awhile gently putting them back in the clones arms. He gave each baby he picked up a small mission, as well as a small mark. He wasn't quite like Katsuo and his brother, but he was something different. He can actively live through the eyes of those he puts a mark on. He hadn't bothered putting one on Katsuo, no matter how tempting it was he couldn't do that to him. He could also communicate with them if he wanted to, right now it's about time that Katsuo would be waking up to get a move on again. He needs to put Itachi back, he placed Itachi in Katsuo's arms again.

"Sleep," he covered Itachi's eyes momentarily and seen that the little tyke was sleeping soundly. Ren knew that once he left the boy is going to wake up and start crying.

"Katsuo," Ren whispered to the sleeping man, "Aishiteru," he leaned forward bracing himself against the tree. He hovered over those lips for a long minute, it happens every time. The need to kiss him was pulling, Ren tries to push it away but the pull was great. He rests his forehead to Katsuo's, settling for the small amount of closeness he allows himself when the other is asleep. "Katsuo, I love you. I love you. . ." the whispered words go unanswered and unheard from his dearest. "I'll be back as soon as I can, I'll take care of you and our children. Just. . ."

"Ren, we need to set up quickly."

"Just know I love you," Ren decided to say and met up with his teammate. "I'm going to give you all hell," Ren promised and went ahead to the station point.

Katsuo was exhausted, if his brother wasn't here to help, he would have never lived through it all. These children were growing fast, and it worried him to no end. As they grew, they learned from him, and his skills, as well as developed their own. It's been three months now and they are like three to twelve year old's, the age varies in many different ways. Nagato, Hidan, Deidara, and Itachi are about 3 years old. Konan is just shy of 5 years old, Kisame is 6 or 7 years old. Kakuzu, Seishiro, and Akinori are 12 years old. The older ones were genin, while the ones above 5 were going through school with the Academy. Because of their growth Katsuo was forced to teach them at his level.

He tried his best not to be angry with them as his own father had done, if not for Tatsuo's helpful hand this task would have been difficult.

"Nii-chan," Katsuo rested beside his brother as the younger ones played. ". . . I'm worried."

"About?"

"They seem happy, but it feels like I'm failing. . . I wonder if I'm doing a good job. . ."

Akinori and Seishiro liked to listen in on other people's conversation and enjoyed gathering as much information as they could. Katsuo didn't have a problem with it, but when they told him that Kakuzu was up to something that wasn't good. It nearly destroyed him. It was the beginning of the second month that Kakuzu was five. He had discovered that he could control strings, and often used it.

He was called to the tower about the incident, and he tried his best to keep calm. Before he went in he got the full story from Kakuzu. A few older boys had dared him to try and steal a scroll from one of the ANBU's that was strolling around. Kakuzu accepted the challenge, but the boys made a ruckus about him stealing, and Kakuzu was caught.

The look on Kakuzu's face was enough to kill. He looked so heartbroken it wasn't funny. He told Kakuzu that he'll sort it out, and told him to wait outside.

"It was no accident! That boy purposefully stole from someone!" the Kazekage yelled, infuriated.

"It wasn't his fault! Kakuzu was set up!" Katsuo said back.

"It doesn't matter! He's broken a law! He must be punished!"

"If anyone is to blame it's those boys!"

"That monster doesn't deserve to be saved! You were suppose to teach that thing to not take on anything remotely related to breaking laws! It should have known better! If anyone is to blame it is y-"

"Otou-san!" Kakuzu ran in and hugged his father's leg, tears running down his face in waves. Katsuo knelt down and hugged him, quietly shushing him. The small boy burst into more tears as he repeatedly apologized for his mistake. "It won't happen again! I promise! I'm sorry!"

"Shh, it's okay, Kakuzu, it's okay." Katsuo was at a loss on what to do, so he whispered to Kakuzu about the rules of being a Ninja. Kakuzu regained control of his emotions after ten minutes of hearing the rules. He wiped away his tears and looked boldly at the man that threatened for his and his father's life.

"I know that I shouldn't have done it, and I'm sorry. I will not be deceived anymore, and think of what is best for my village," Kakuzu declared.

"Splendid! Kakuzu, Katsuo you two are dismissed," the Hokage was overjoyed.

"You're not going to do anything about it?! That boy-"

"He apologized and stated it won't happen again, that is good enough for me," the Hokage put on a look that can't be argued with and dismissed the boy and his father from the room once more.

After, Katsuo and Kakuzu got some ice cream and talked about random things for the rest of the day.

Kisame was a different story, he was subjected to bullying. Soon enough he couldn't take it anymore and attacked back with more then just words. The five children were soon hospitalized and blamed Kisame for everything.

Word had gotten out to the kage's, and once again Katsuo was sent in to fix everything, and to fight to keep his kids. Just when Katsuo had enough of it, his son, Kisame came in nearly in tears, and told the whole story, Akinori also butted in and confirmed everything. Ever since then Kisame and Akinori were nearly inseparable. He was once again able to keep them.

As they grew older by the days and weeks, his kids were separated from each other while they were put on teams leaving Katsuo to himself mostly.

He was bored.

Not even his brother could occupy his time because of the constant missions he takes.

Three months! He should be exhausted, but he couldn't find sleep.

Three months! Of looking after the babies, changing pampers, cleaning up the spilled milk, clearing away the unused toys, making bottles in the middle of the night and again at 3 am! Now! They are in the Academy learning to be ninja's again. There was no mess to clean up, no toys to step on, no drawings on the walls, and he doesn't have to make food all hours of the day. His older kids were out on missions practically living on their own, his second older ones were still in the academy doing mock missions. His youngest kids were learning more about being a ninja from Iruka. Actually they all went to Iruka for their ninja lessons.
