Mabel and I were watching prank videos on Wendy's laptop while she was talking to Lee on her phone. We found these videos of some kids pranking their parents with a 'magic drawer.' One kid sat inside of the drawers while the other pretended they could open the drawer with their hands, while in reality, the kid inside the drawer pushed it open from the inside.
Mabel and I thought it would be a good idea to try it. So we tried on Wendy first. She wasn't that impressed. She said, "Nice trick, guys. Have fun with your game," and went back to taking with Lee. We decided to pick up our game.
Next was Stan. We followed him around for a while, opening all the drawers that he walked by. Stan wasn't impressed either. It also wasn't helping that he saw Mabel enter one of the drawers, and that he sat down all day watching tv. We even closed all the drawers too.
When Soos came around, Mabel and I decided to try the classic way again. I pulled Soos over to the drawer and said that it was magic but only listened to me. I gave Mabel the command, which was just a simple 'open' with a wave of my hand, and she opened it.
Soos...didn't give us the reaction we were expecting. First, he said "Nice prank, dude," gave us a giggle, I closed the door, with the 'close' command, Soos continued to giggle, until it died down. "This is a joke, right dude?" He looked around and asked where Mabel was.
I told him Mabel was out with Candy and Grenda, and that it was just me. (I have to admit, it was pretty funny and I was trying not to laugh the whole time). I did the command again, the door opened, and then Soos ran off, screaming for Ford.
He came back with Ford, who had these weird gloves on (they looked like they were magnetic but it was hard to tell), and Soos told me to do the trick again. So, I did it again.
Sure enough, both Ford and Soos fell for it. They both thought I had magic powers. Great Uncle Ford said, "I haven't been in this dimention a while, do kids have magic powers?"
Soos stated that the drawer was haunted. Ford said that was impossible since when he first arrived through the portal, he checked us all for portal radiation and then checked the shack for anything that might have come through, like ghosts, or anything else. Plus, he checked the furniture and electronic devices for portal radiation as well. (Mabel screamed for a whole minute and coughed up glitter. Great Uncle Ford's face was pretty funny afterward. It was kinda like 'ugh' maybe mixed with 'huh' and then 'what'. It was funny).
I tried to explain that the drawer would only open with my command. So, Soos decided to test that theory. He did the command and Mabel kept the door shut. Ford tried next and the door still didn't open. I heard Ford call for Stan as he walked out of the room while Soos continued to try the command. He tried all sorts of words. 'Open,' 'Alakazam,' "Abracadabra,' 'Bamboozle,' ect. It was so funny but I was trying everything to not laugh.
Eventually, Ford came back and said that he's going to run a few tests on the drawer. He had me say a bunch of words, even those that didn't make sense, like he had me say 'entertaining' for some reason.
Eventually the scam was up because both Mabel and I couldn't take it anymore. We both started laughing. Even Stan laughed.
