The day in the life of Professor Layton!

It had been quite a slow day today, Luke has become extremely bored, within the past few days he has completed my chess, scrabble, and cluedo games eight times so far. Luke also beated me at monopoly almost twenty times... Okay thirty.

Now he is just staring at the window counting how many clouds, people and cars that have pasted by.

Gosh what is wrong with kids today? They are lucky to have such puzzles to solve in their spare time, all I had when I was young fello was sticks and rope! Okay I had a bit more than that but still..!

Luke looked up with a sigh,"Professor, why has anybody called for us to solve a single mystery?"

I exchanged with the same sigh, I boiled some tea before walking over.

"Well not everyday can be as thrilling as the next." I smiled.

Luke sulked lowering in his seat, "But Professor, there must be someone who needs our help."

The phone suddenly rang, Luke peaked up from his seat, "Oooo oooo!"

I smirked, "Okay, calm down. Oooooo!"
I skipped over to the phone, then cleared my throat," Hello Professor Layton here, whats the problem?"

I nodded as the person on the other end spoke, "Yes. Oh yes indeed. Okay, thank you. See you right away."
I hung up, Luke sprung up from his seat, "What is it Proffesor? Someone needs our help?"
I groaned lowering my hat, "Not exactly. Do you remember.. Flora?"

Luke's eyes widened, he gleemed, "Oh yeah, I havent seen her for a while. What happened to her?"

A darkened look came across my face, "When we went to the park, do remember how I said she wanted to play on the swings?"
He nodded, "Oh yeah! That was a fun day! She loved it so much, she stayed there, didnt she?"
"Well.. I kind of.. left her there." I admitted.

"Professor! Why? Flora is nice, why would you do that?" Luke gasped.

I turned away, "Well, she didnt mind. But thats not the problem.. I sort of... ran over her."
"WHAT? Professor? Why?" Luke cried.

I rubbed my hands together, " Well she was chasing after the car and I sort of.. backed up and crushed her."

Luke sniffed, "You.. You killed Flora..?"
"Oh no, that was the hospital. Were going to visit her."
He folded his arms,"And your going to apologize."

I sighed,"Yes..."
Luke shaked his finger, "And buy her flowers!"

"What? I dont have that much money!" I chuckled lightly.

We arrived at the hospital to see Flora on a breathing machine covered in bangages, she was in a comma.

"Oh my." I gasped.

Luke cried, "Flora! Oh no!"

The nurse stood before us, she smiled, "Are you Flora Reinhold's father and brother?"
"Yes." I lied.

Luke raised his eyebrow, the nurse stared confusedly.

"But you said on the phone your professor Layton?" She said.

I smiled nervously, "Well that was my friend on the phone.."
"Er okay then, you may go in."

Luke ran towards the bed were Flora laid, he bursted into tears.

"Oh Flora! Dont die! I like having you around untill like mean professor Layton!"
I raised my fist, "Do you want to be my appeartice!"
Luke's eyes widened, "Yes! Yes!"

Flora's eyes fluttered, she smiled weakly, "P..Proffessor. Luke."

Luke grinned happily wrapping his arms around her, " Yay your okay!"

I stood back of the room, she stared at me, "I.. forgive you Professor."

I frowned, "What? Why? You should hate me! I left you in the park to starve and ran you over. And you forgive me?"

She smiled, "Yes."
I unplugged the machine by purpose, "Uh oh. My machine seems to be broke."
Red lights began flashing and loud noises came from the machine, Flora began gasping for air.

Luke gasped, "Oh my gosh! Professor!"

"Lets go Luke my boy!" I shouted.

I grabbed Luke and carried him out of the hospital and we lived happily ever after without Flora?

Untill she surived and found us.. But not for long. Bwhahaahaha!

The end?
