Iris's POV

I was glued to the television as were Kiba, Demi, and Gabumon. Digimon were not only spawning all over Japan but also around the world. Matt was on the phone talking to Izzy.

"This is getting out of control" Kiba growled.

"Agreed sis" Demi added.

"Hey Iris"

My attention went to Matt.

"Let me guess everyone is meeting at Izzy's?"

My blonde-haired mate smiled at that.

"Always one step ahead of me"

The two of us got our digivices and before leaving the apartment Matt turned the television off. Kiba did her disappearing act while Demi pretended to be a plushie in my arms. When we neared Izzy's apartment complex we met up with the others however it was Davis not moving that made me stop.

"Worried about Ken and Sage?"

"Yes they both live in Tamachi"

"Hey you two come on" Tai interrupted.

Davis didn't reply for a second before finally saying.

"I can't right now I need to head over to Tamachi"

"Do what?" Tai asked.

"Didn't you see the news? There's digimon in Tamachi, that's where Ken and Sage live, they both no doubt need help"

Tai looked like he was about to argue but I stopped him.

"Ken and Sage are one of us too Tai, I'll go with Davis"

"Everything okay here?" Matt wondered as he and Kari joined in.

"Babe we gotta go to Tamachi, Ken, and Sage live there"

"Yeah you two are right" Tai gave in before smiling at us. "We'll hold the fort here and figure out a plan"

Matt then approached and my handsome male gave me a quick peck on the lips. Demi wolf whistled before yelping. BlackWarGreymon chose that moment to appear beside me.

"Are we to travel then?"

"Indeed we are buddy" I confirmed to my second partner. The Mega nodded before carefully placing me onto his back.

Ken's POV

Sage and I ran past people fleeing from the rampaging Triceramon. My girlfriend and I took cover in an alleyway while Wormmon hopped out of my arms.

"Is there a possibility of us digivolving?" Renamon questioned as she appeared beside Sage.

"I can't," Wormmon said in defeat.

"That can mean only one thing"

"A Control Spire is in the vicinity" Sage figured it out.

She and I looked around for the spire in question.

"See Mummymon I told you they were smart" an all too familiar voice called out. Lounging on the roof above were Arukenimon and Mummymon.

"Warmer, warmer, burning up!"

"Looking for little old me?" Arukenimon taunted.

"Your friends aren't here to save you two, too bad 'cause Triceramon looks hungry" the mummy Ultimate then cackled.

Triceramon stomped around looking for a fight while I felt powerless to do anything.

Iris's POV

"You really have a big ego don't you Bandage Boy?"

Immediately Arukenimon and her boyfriend whirled around to see me smirking from BlackWarGreymon's back. The Mega-level digimon hovered in the air above the dark couple in order to taunt them.

"YOU!" Spider Bitch hissed.

"Oh no the spire!" Mummymon protested when he saw the dark tower fall over. I flipped the two Utimate's off before BlackWarGreymon descended toward the street. My second partner then carefully removed me from his back before going to fight Triceramon.

"Oh man I'm glad you guys are here" Ken greeted me as he and Sage came out of hiding with their digimon.

"We need to get Triceramon through the portal"

Ken and Sage nodded. Then one by one our rookie digimon digivolved into their Champion forms. BlackWarGreymon moved back as Stingmon chose to attack first. But his Spiking Strike did little damage to Triceramon and the angry Ultimate head-butted the insect Champion into a building. ExVeemon tried using his own attack but again it was useless and Triceramon proceeded to body-slam ExVeemon into another building.

The same thing happened with the twins when they tried using their Crimson Claw attack. Both siblings were sent flying and they landed on their backs. Demi reverted to his Rookie form and I hurriedly got him into my arms. BlackWarGreymon body slammed Triceramon hard. Ken and Davis had Stingmon and ExVeemon DNA digivolve to Paildramon.

Paildramon joined BlackWarGreymon in the fighting with Triceramon.

"Iris!" Ken yelled opening his laptop up. I got out my digivice and opened the portal to the Digital World. Ken then shouted for Paildramon and BlackWarGreymon to try and get Triceramon into the portal. BlackWarGreymon was then smacked by Triceramon's tail and the poor guy was thrown into a building. The same thing happened to Paildramon thanks to Triceramon.

"Iris! Sage! Look out!" Kyubimon shouted as Mummymon decided to join the battle. He was in his true form and the Ultimate unleashed his Snake Bandage at us. Both Kiba and Kyubimon took the hit meant for us and the two female digimon yelped in pain. Kyubimon then fell to the ground and she returned to Renamon while Kiba fell causing the street to shake.

Then the ugly ass Ultimate was rushing at us and I pushed Sage aside just as Mummymon grabbed my throat.

"We meet again Your Highness"

"F**k you Bandage Boy" I snarled.

"I'll have the pleasure of finishing you this time" he sneered. The Ultimate was then body slammed by BlackWarGreymon and my second partner drew me close to him.

"I really wish he would stop doing that" the Mega growled referring to Mummymon grabbing me by the throat.

Mummymon swore before sending one round of his Snake Bandage at Kiba first before doing the same to Paildramon.

"You leave my sister alone you bastard!" Demi roared as Kiba roared out in pain. Immediately I went to her and placed a hand on her face.

"I'm okay" she reassured me.

But the sooner she said that Triceramon used his horns to send her into the air before doing the same with Paildramon. Mummymon then cackled like a maniac as he used his Snake Bandage to shoot at several buildings causing debris to fall.

BlackWarGreymon hurriedly got me under him.

Kiba's POV

Both Paildramon and I shouted out as our partners along with Sage and Renamon were about to be crushed. Then a warm and comforting light hit me and the next thing I knew digivolved all the way to Mega at the same time Paildramon did the same.

And the next thing I knew I was Tiamatmon. The debris from the building bounced off my scales as I shielded Iris, BlackWarGreymon, Sage, Renamon, and my brother.

Iris's POV

I smirked when I saw Kiba in her Mega form. My first partner gave us a fanged smirk before turning her attention onto Imperialdramon. The other mega was close to Kiba's height and once he made sure Ken and Davis were okay did Imperialdramon turn around. Kiba then proceeded to join her companion's side.

"Oh crap you two digivolved to Mega" Mummymon said as his face paled.

"Damn, straight we did" Kiba confirmed. Seeing he was screwed Mummymon bailed just as Triceramon charged.

Immediately Kiba grabbed the rampaging Ultimate into her claws and she then turned around so Triceramon was facing Ken's laptop. Ken opened it and Davis got the portal to reopen. Triceramon successfully returned to the Digital World.

Kiba then reverted to her Rookie form and I now held the exhausted Rookie in my arms alongside her brother. Imperialdramon then said the other digimon and Control Spires needed to be taken care of. The Mega then zapped us into the area that was used as transportation, hell even BlackWarGreymon fit in with us.

Imperialdramon then took flight and proceeded to use one of his attacks to destroy all of the Control Spires at once. Then one by one we went to each part of Japan and dealt with the digimon in each area. When the last one was returned to the Digital World, Imperialdramon took us back inside his transportation spot and then rose into the air.

"Hmm," BlackWarGreymon said as Imperialdramon made his way back to Odaiba.

"What's up, buddy?" I asked my second partner.

"Imperialdramon would make a worthy opponent"

"Dude you just fought with a Triceramon" Demi reprimanded the Meg.

"Give it a rest brother, he likes to fight when necessary," Kiba told her twin firmly.

BlackWarGreymon chuckled just as Imperialdramon landed. It wasn't long until the others joined us and it was good to see Gennai.

"Your Highness"

It was decided I would go to Mexico City with Matt, Gabumon, Wormmon and Ken. Izzy bid his mother farewell before Imperialdramon had us on his back. Then as he took off I suddenly fell to my knees. Alarmed Matt and the others surrounded me.

"Iris you okay sis?" Issac demanded.

"I think so I just felt off there for a minute"

Matt helped me to my feet and he kissed my forehead.

"I'm going to get some rest" BlackWarGreymon notified me. My second partner then shot me a wink before doing his disappearing act.

But while we made the journey toward New York did I realize what had made me go to my knees. It was my inner darkness from when I was temporarily mate bound to Myotismon. If my darkness resurfaced it would mean trouble not only for me but that of the Digital World and my loved ones.
