Chapter 4: Rukia
Rukia sighed as she sat in the bar and waited for her friends. She constantly texted Yuki making sure everyone was okay. Yuki of course told her to stop worrying and to enjoy her night out. Rukia rolled her eyes and ordered herself a beer. Rukia found a nice little booth in the far corner and started sipping on her beer. She decided to text Yuki again just to pass the time. After a minute Yuki sent a message to their family group chat updating everyone on their worried mother. They of course responded by telling her to relax and have fun. Rukia groaned and sat her phone aside and sipped on more of her beer.
"Ahh Rukia."
Rukia looked up and saw her long time friend Orihime Ishida. She was thirty-nine years old. Orihime was a curvaceous busty woman. She and Rukia met freshman year of high school. Tatsuki introduced them and they have been friends ever since. Orihime was the youngest one out of the group. She was always the popular one when it came to men. Of course she was oblivious to her womanly assets. Orihime was always a bit ditzy but she was sweet and super intelligent. She skipped eight grade middle school and went right into high school . Orihime was married to her husband of twenty years. They got married at the age of nineteen. They were high school sweethearts. Uryu Ishida was a doctor and he provided well for Orihime. Orihime followed her dream and became a kindergarten teacher for Karakura elementary a job which she absolutely loved. Rukia stood up and hugged Orihime. She was wearing a beautiful purple dress that showed her baby bump and black heels. She had a pretty jean jacket on as well.
"How many months are you?" Rukia asked.
Orihime smiled, "Six months I'm so excited little Lily will be here before we know it."
Orihime sat across from Rukia and smiled. A server came over and asked them what they wanted to order. Orihime ordered water and stated they were waiting for others. The guy nodded and walked away.
"Geez I feel young again coming out here on a Monday."
Rukia laughed, "Well Tatsuki wants to relive the glory days."
"And there is nothing wrong with that."
Rukia and Orihime looked and saw none other than Tatsuki. She was forty-one years old. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a shirt and wore her hair in a short ponytail. Unlike Orihime, Tatsuki was a lean toned woman. Rukia met her in middle school. They hit it off pretty early on Tatsuki was the tomboy and Rukia was the semi-girly friend. She had two kids and was married to Renji Abari; they've been married for fifteen years. Renji and Tatsuki were athlete sweethearts. Renji was a football coach for the high school and she was a dojo instructor and loved every second of it. Orihime smiled and quickly hugged Tatsuki. Rukia stood up as well to greet and hug her long time friend.
"Alright, make some room Hime."
Orihime smiled and moved over. The server came back over asking if they were ready to order. Tatsuki was the one to say they were still waiting but ordered herself a rum and coke. The server sighed and nodded leaving to go get her drink.
"Damn Hime you got big how many months are you?" Tatsuki asked.
Orihime blushed, "I'm six months."
Tatsuki smiled, "I'm happy for you girl."
Sooner than later the server came over with Orihime's water and Tatsuki's rum and coke. Rukia was happy to be in her friend's company.
"So how are the kids?" Rukia asked.
Tatsuki sighed, "You want to know something funny. I'm fine with Cole, he's a thirteen year old boy. But Kim my goodness I can't relate to that girl she's fifteen right and all she wants to do is shop or get her nails done. Like when I was fifteen I played soccer, ran track and did karate you know normal stuff."
Orihime laughed, "Yeah normal stuff."
"Tatsuki you were the most aggressive female I know." Rukia added.
Tatsuki snorted, "No I wasn't, I was normal aggressive."
"Oh no you weren't."
The three heads turned to see Momo Aizen. She had her hair in a bob and was wearing blue jeans and a designer blouse. She was forty-one. Rukia met Momo Sophomore year of high school Rukia and these three did everything together. Momo had two girls you would think were twins but they were just six months apart. Momo was married to Sosuke Aizen. Momo met him at a college seminar she made them all go to. She was obsessed with Sosuke the moment she saw him. They got married twelve years ago. He was a pretentious asshole and no one liked him but the girls kept it to themselves if Momo loved him then they would tolerate him. He was a businessman, he was CEO and made a lot of money. Momo was a stay at home mom who took care of her kids and her big house. Momo smiled and hugged her friends and sat next to Rukia.
"Omg Orihime you are glowing from pregnancy. I'm so happy for you." Momo stated.
Orihime smiled and blushed but said nothing she was starting to feel embarrassed about the attention on her baby bump.
Rukia smiled, "Momo you cut your hair?"
Momo sighed, "Yeah I wanted to do something different for Aizen."
The server came over again and asked if they were ready to order something now to which Tatsuki shook her head. Momo ordered herself a whisky sour while they waited. Rukia wondered who the last person was.
"I can't believe we are old but still friends after all these years. Can you believe it?" Orihime stated.
Rukia laughed, "Honestly no I thought we would stop being friends a long time ago."
"Well damn Rukia, thanks for that confidence." Tatsuki answered.
Momo snorted, "Ahh just like old times am I right."
"Old times without me? You bitches are crazy."
The four heads slowly turned to see their busty blonde friend Rangiku Matsumoto. She was wearing a long sleeve blue blouse and black jeans. The moment she walked in they could tell all the men eyes were on her. Rangiku and Rukia met in junior year of high school and Rangiku had been a part of their friend group ever since. Rangiku was a top gun lawyer. She wasn't married or had kids; she was currently dating a guy named Shuhei Hisagi. She was honestly the slut of the group. She knew it hell she used to call herself that back in school. Rangiku sashayed her way to the booth and grabbed a chair, pulled it up and sat down. The server came over again and sat Momo's drink down and looked at Tatsuki. She smiled and nodded.
"What can I get you girls?"
Rangiku clapped her hands, "Oh baby I need shots here asap and a vodka tonic as well oh and some chips with salsa."
Momo cleared her throat, "Umm can I just get some fries and a margarita this time please."
"Can I get just some pickle chips and another water as well please." Orihime answered.
Tatsuki cleared her throat, "I'll take a double cheeseburger and fries oh and a beer."
Rukia knew exactly what she wanted; she got it every time she hung out with her friends at the bar. She cleared her throat and gave the server a smile.
"Welp I think I'll get the mudslide extra chocolate please with oh chilicheese fries please and thank you."
The server smiled happy to finally get their order and went to put it in. As he walked off Rangiku eyes followed him.
"Mmm he's cute."
"So how's Shuhei?" Tatsuki asked.
Rangiku frowned, "He's great thanks for asking. Omg Hime I forgot you were pregnant with Uryu's child, amazing."
"So how's work Ran?" Rukia asked.
"Ugh that place you know I didn't know being a lawyer would be this hard but hey I'm making hella money." Rangiku answered.
Momo smiled, "Well that's good Ran."
Eventually their server came back with their orders. Rangiku gladly started taking shots while the others munched on their little snacks. Tatsuki on the other hand was devouring her burger and fries. Rukia slurped down her mudslide happily enjoying her alcoholic sugar rush. Rangiku downed even more drinks and munched on her chips and salsa.
"Hey, how's everyone's kids?" Rangiku asked.
Tatsuki groaned, "Would you want to have Kim, she acts just like you."
"Oh man little Kim and Cole I haven't seen them in so long. How old are they now?" Rangiku asked.
"Kim is fifteen and Cole is thirteen." Tatsuki answered.
"Eep, what about you Momo? How are the girls?"
Momo sighed, "A handful they're on the cheerleading team and they are so popular at school it's ridiculous."
Rangiku laughed, "Man, have you told them that we used to be cheerleaders?"
Tatsuki gulped her drink down, "Don't remind me."
Rukia laughed, "We were pretty good back then I'm sure we could teach them a thing or two."
"Oh shit Rukia how is your pack?" Rangiku asked.
Rukia frowned, "They are a handful."
Rangiku gulped her last shot down and quickly pulled the server over asking for another round. Rukia and the others sighed they knew how Rangiku got when she drank a lot. Tstsuki finished up her burger and fries and started munching on Rukia's chili fries.
"Damn Tats I'd think you were pregnant as with how you're devouring your food and Rukia's fries." Tatsuki scowled as she looked at Rangiku who was happily drinking her vodka tonic. Rangiku giggled a bit. "Hey guys we're friends right so we can be honest with each other right?"
Rukia squinted her eyes a bit; she did not like where this was going. The server set her four shots down and asked if they needed anything else. Tatsuki shooed him away before Rangiku could say anything. They all stared at Rangiku as she took her four shots and laughed.
"Seriously, we can be honest with each other, you know. So why are we not being honest with each other and telling the truth?" Rangiku asked.
Orihime looked confused, "What do you mean Ran?"
"Ugh that you're miserable you're all miserable."
"Hold on Rangiku you've been drinking a little too much-"
"No Tatsuki, I haven't been drinking enough. How are you and Renji?" Everyone at the table got quiet. Tatsuki looked ready to kill, "Is he still cheating on you? And to think you could have been something. You were offered so many opportunities you could have gone pro. Instead you settled for being a fucking dojo instructor pathetic."
Orihime gasped, "Rangiku you need to apologize imm-"
"Oh and Hime how is Uryu huh? You're finally pregnant after years of you wanting to get pregnant. You're thirty-nine for christ sake. You have wanted a baby with Uryu since you were eighteen. And now all he does is work you barely even see him. Why because he cares more about work he always has always will."
"Rangiku chill out se-"
"Oh man Momo you barely see Sosuke, at least I can say with Uryu he actually loves Orihime. Sosuke obviously doesn't love you. He leaves you days on end with the kids and he doesn't even acknowledge you. You gave up your dream job of being a dancer for him." Rangiku announced.
"Fuck off R-"
"And Rukia holy shit you're raising five kids alone. Kaien left you high and dry and you haven't even fucked since he left. You keep saying you're looking for a relationship but we all know those kids of yours always run them away. On top of that you are in this endless loop. You also gave up your dreams for Kaien. You settled for a fucking teaching job? We were supposed to be lawyers together. You are the smartest girl I've ever met. You made straight A's unlike me and you settled for a teaching job because Kaien needed you home to watch the kids? Really!" Rangiku yelled.
Tatsuki slammed her hands on the table. Rangiku immediately quieted. "Orihime is about to have her baby and she is doing the best she can. Uryu loves her and he is working to provide for her and baby Lily. Renji and I are trying to get through our differences. Momo takes care of her daughters and her husband. He is like Uryu just trying to provide for his family. Rukia is a strong independent mother that is raising her five kids. She is amazing and she makes time almost every other week to hangout with us. So these women at this table are the best and incredible. Now on to you, how is Shuhei? Does he know that Gin and you are screwing?"
Rangiku huffed, "There it is you and Rukia as well always defending. You've done it all through high school and college. We're adults, not just adults but best friends. We did cheerleading together for Momo, we did soccer for you Tatsuki, we did a sorority for Orihime in college and we took cooking classes for Rukia."
"And we went to weekend parties for you to remember." Rukia added.
Momo laughed, "Oh geez those parties always ended up with the cops coming."
"Oh and when we had to take cooking classes Rukia you almost burnt the building down." Orihime stated.
"God remember when we were in soccer and Ran you got hit in the face so many times." Tatsuki snorted.
Rukia laughed at her friends. It always ended up like this they talk, Rangiku gets drunk and then says mean stuff. Afterwards Rukia and or Tatsuki put her in her place and then they start to reminisce on their friendships. Afterwards Momo offered to take Orihime and Rangiku home. Rukia decided to pay the bill and walk with Tatsuki. While walking Tatsuki pulled out a cigarette and lighter. Rukia frowned, Tatsuki only smoked when she was frustrated.
"She's right, you know."
Rukia sighed, "She just talks out her ass, you know that."
"Oh please you know her when she drinks she says what's on her mind. But me and Renji are going through it. He cheated again. I'm so tired of him. I do everything I cook and clean and take care of the kids. And what he does is he cheats on me. I'm sick of him, Rukia. I'm trying but I just don't know." Tatsuki explained.
Rukia patted her back. "Hey you got this Tats you're strong literally and figuratively and Renji loves you he just I don't know need a good ass whooping."
Tatsuki laughed and hugged Rukia. Rukia and Tatsuki soon parted ways and went home. Rukia yawned as she got home. She stayed out pretty late. She looked at the time and saw it was eleven at night. She groaned, checked on her kids and then went to her room stripped and immediately knocked out. Wasn't too long after her alarm went off that she opened her eyes and sighed.
A/N How was it? I'm trying to do something different with both Ichigo and Rukia. As you can see they both have very different lives. I'm so happy to actually be rebooting this story you have no idea. I have really been thinking about rebooting the Nanny as well. "We live in different worlds" is almost complete . Once it's over if I don't get any requests by then I'll probably just work on a revised The Nanny. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.
