He's just trying to help. He isn't working himself to exhaustion. He gets sleep. He doesn't stay up all night. That's what I tell myself every time I see Yakko. But I'm wrong. And yet, no matter how many times Yakko, even my conscious tell me, I still believe I'm a burden. I cuddled closer to Yakko, and sniffled. I'd been crying a lot lately, hadn't I? I was being a bad listener, and wasn't following directions. I swallowed my spit, and my throat burned in the process. I groaned, desperately trying to get more warmth from Yakko. I just couldn't sleep. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't. That's how it's been for the last couple of days.
I looked up at Yakko, and then the rails. Please come back, Wakko. I told myself. I doubted he would, but a glimmer of hope was still shining after all these days. Days that turned into months. Months that turned into a year. I coughed, quickly making sure I didn't wake up Yakko. I sighed in relief when he was still sleeping.
I didn't know what to do anymore. I suddenly fell into a large coughing fit, that led to Yakko waking up. Darn. Damn you, coughs. I thought. Here comes another worry wart moment.
"Dot?" Yakko murmured, opening his eyes, and rubbing out the cobwebs. Ugh, great. "DOT! Are you okay?" He sat up on the bench, and placed me into his lap. I sat in a position with me calfs under my thighs. Still coughing, I attempted to speak. "'M-" Another cough, "f-fine." I barely spoke, leaning onto Yakko's chest. I wrapped my arms around him, facing away to make sure I didn't cough all over his face.
My legs began to get tired, so I shifted into a mermaid-like sitting pose. All the while still hugging my "life source". "It's okay. You're okay. Attempt to breath in." I did as asked, taking a shaky breathe, but coughing again afterwards. Small pearls of clear liquid began forming on the tips of my eyes, and I continued my coughing. I just wanted it to end. That's all I wanted. It just hurt. I didn't like it, only a psycho would.
After many failed attempts at stopping, I finally did. "Better?" Yakko asked, pulling back to look at me. "Mhm." I replied, my eyes beginning to droop. "'G'night, sis." I lay back down. "Night."

When I woke, I heard train whistles. I immediately flicked an eye open, staring at the tracks. Could be a false alarm... but it could be him. I thought, eyeing the track. I shook Yakko, him waking up with an abrupt "HELLOOOO, NURSE!" I rolled my eyes at this. The moment Yakko heard the train whistle, his body immediately perked up. "Do 'y think he's back?" I asked, still looking at the train tracks. "Maybe." Yakko replied, doing the same as me. The moment the train doors opened, I stood up in anticipation. Please be him, please be him. I saw a glimpse of a red hat. Bingo.
"Hello, Sibs."
The moment I heard the scouse accent, I ran and lunged into the blue-sweater goofball I called brother. "Wakko, oh, I missed you sosososooooo much!" I squealed in delight. "Same here, little sis." Wakko laughed, hugging me back. "Hey, you forgot to invite me! The life of the party!" Yakko said, joining in the hug. We all laughed, happy to be together again.
"What did you find?" I asked, pulling out of the hug to get a close look at Wakko. He looked like a mess, and his back was slightly hunched. "You won't believe it." He said, pulling his hand into his hat. I looked in anticipation. I wonder... He pulled out a coin. Not just any coin. A Ha' Penny. I gasped, and I swore I heard Yakko do the latter. "Baby bro... you found a whole Ha' Penny?" Yakko asked. "Yeah! It was more than I bargained for!" Wakko said in delight, still holding out the amazing figure. "I can't believe it! We're rich!" I said, pumping a fist in the air. Me and Yakko continued to thank Wakko the rest of the morning on the way to the water tower. We just couldn't believe it.

I woke up to hear yelling and shouting. One voice I recognized as Yakko, the other... I didn't recognize at all. I hopped out of bed, being careful not to trip. I peeked through the curtain, to find Yakko yelling at the tax man. Or whatever he was. "BARON, WE NEED THIS MONEY!" He yelled, holding an arm in front of Wakko. "I don't care. You have taxes you've yet to pay." The Baron said, slowly starting to pull the Ha' Penny out of Yakko's grasp. "LET GO, YOU IDIOT!" Yakko yelled again, pulling hard at the now slippery Ha' Penny.
The Baron got it.
"See, making this hard on yourself made you tired. Thank you for your time." Baron Von Plotz said, walking away. Yakko was reaching towards the door, his mouth agape. "I-I..." He had no words. To my horrible luck, a coughing fit decided to bloom, as my legs shook and lost the fight. I feel onto my knees, still grasping the doorway in efforts to stand. "DOT!" They yelled, immediately coming to my sides. I didn't want to tell them I had been eavesdropping. Because it wasn't a nice thing to do. I mean, that's what Yakko told me. "Breath, baby sister." Wakko said, rubbing his hand on my back. I attempted, yet failed like most other times. My throat burned, and I grimaced in pain.
The small, clear orbs began to form again, as I continued my coughing. My chest heaved, in one big large cough. A cough that caused small pearls of crimson blood splatter onto the ground.
To Be Continued...
