AN: Really quickly just want to thank all of the reviews from last chapter, especially the Guest reviewer that said I should write whatever I want. That comment was very sweet and really lifted me up. Perhaps I'm being dramatic but I can't help but feel intimidated sometimes when I post my work. I write for myself but unfortunately I'm also a people pleaser so I want you all to enjoy it as well.

Anyways, on to the debauchery~

Chapter 3: Raging Hormones

It was the second to last day of school at Mystic Falls High. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, there was a mellow breeze in the air and most importantly, nearly all finals were done for the day.

As a reflection of that merit, half of the student body was outside in the courtyard for their lunch period. Kids could be seen sitting on the outdoor tables, laying in the grass, heck some were even swinging from the trees.

Conversation pranced jubilantly from one topic to the other, speculations on exam results, gossip on who's hooking up with who, shit-talking about old friends, you name it you heard it as expressions of surprise or disgust were openly displayed on youthful faces.

Like a typical teen drama, the cheerleaders sat with their friends, band with theirs; jocks, geeks, preps, and potheads were all separated by the plot of land they staked as their own.

These groups didn't have much in common besides being young kids in the hellscape called high school, but there were some things that anyone, no matter where you came from, what your background was, or what your affiliation, all had in common. Raging hormones . For example, the jocks and the mathletes were as far opposed as night and day—but as ears turned to the sound of tinkling laughter, as eyes glided up painted on jeans, then a slim exposure of a creamy bared pelvis, to glittering skin with the tasteful bounce of breasts, a bright smile that could take out the sun and lastly feline eyes like blades of grass—the thing they had in common became abundantly clear. The awareness of pheromones and the sexual appeal of a pretty female.

While the girls stared either with disdain or barely masked awe, the boys that sat around the quad, jock, geek, pothead, and prep alike broke their necks as she walked by bringing with her a lingering scent of innocence and femininity. Like a hungry pack of wolves, they devoured her.

As great as she looked from the front, this girl, clearly developed into a woman, was just as nice a view from the back. Her graceful shoulders fell down the swoop of her back with delicate lines visible in the tightness of her shirt. Down her spine led the eyes to feast on more golden skin and the apparent bump of her perfect derriere. Swaying hips teased all who graced a look at her hourglass frame and had the boys wondering how she even got into her jeans.

"God damn…" Someone cursed loud enough for the pretty brunette to hear.

Bonnie smiled awkwardly, oblivious to the eyes glued on her behind but embarrassed by the stunned expressions stuck on her as she walked by. Without words, she was able to stop people mid-conversation. "Is it just me or are people staring?"

"Is that Bonnie Bennett?"

"The Salvatore's little sister?" Her peers whispered, not so inconspicuously.

Bonnie's smile became even tenser.

"Can you blame them, Bon? How did you hide a body like this all year?" Caroline gave her friend a wide-eyed look. The blonde was still surprised herself after the reveal in the bathroom. She thought her friend had the perfect shape. She was like a Coke bottle, Beyonce-level bootylicious. Toned and curved in all the right places. Caroline was trying desperately to keep herself from being jealous. Seeing the nervous look on her friend's face and the heady blush on her cheeks as her eyes stayed focused on the ground in front of them Caroline quickly got rid of the feeling.

It was plain to see that Bonnie wasn't enjoying the attention.

In fact, to Caroline, it looked like she hated it.

Caroline took her best friend's hand and pushed her shoulders back. "Listen, Bon, from this day forward I'm going to teach you how to own your bad bitch status, alright? We're about to be Juniors—upperclassmen, we need to firmly grasp the confidence that comes with that." Caroline smirked, lifting her eyebrow at the small smile Bonnie gave back once she realized what the blonde was trying to do. "Now, shoulders back, chin up. We need to leave everyone with something to remember come summer break."

Invigorated, Bonnie did as told. With a firmer grasp of her best friend's hand, Bonnie walked with the confidence and grace of the Bennetts before her. Her smile was brighter than before. Some kids called her name and said hello as she passed, every face that met hers was friendly in countenance. She couldn't remember ever being this popular.

"How about some fanservice?" Caroline nudged her arm, her eyes pointedly ahead drawing Bonnie's to do the same. One boy, a ways before them and to her right, was absolutely slack-jawed as he watched her big hair and perky breasts bounce with her steps. Seeing him and understanding what Caroline was hinting at, Bonnie winked causing the boy to fall over onto his friends behind him as they yelled out in surprise.

Bonnie's eyebrows rose, turning to Caroline to see if she saw and the blonde had a matching expression. The girls burst out in giggles, continuing on their way until they finally made it to a table near the trees.

Already their usual group of friends was sitting at the table half-heartedly munching on their lunches. Matt was on one side while Stefan and Elena were on the other. Elena was across from Matt on the far right side leaving the perfect amount of space for Caroline and Bonnie to slide in.

No one at their table looked up until the two girls sat, slightly dimming the effect of Bonnie's new look. Bonnie appreciated that. It was fun with the school, but she was a little apprehensive about her friends treating her differently.

"Bambi," Stefan greeted, getting a whiff of her sweet smell, alerting him that she was there even before his eyes took her in. He smiled down at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and squeezing for a second.

"Stef," Bonnie smiled. She turned her head toward everyone else, "Hey guys, how were your tests?"

As she asked the question, Stefan got up and moved to her other side. Surprising everyone but Bonnie who barely seemed to react, he lifted the smaller girl and scooted her closer to Elena, right into his abandoned spot.

"Uh…honestly I might have to take those summer classes," Matt answered owlishly while watching the two.

Elena also kept quiet as she stared at the boy next to her.

"Bonnie..."

Bonnie could feel from the way his hand tensed around her waist when he moved her and then it was affirmed in the low tone of his voice that he finally noticed what she was wearing. His saying her name instead of the one that he called her since they were kids (because he couldn't yet fully say bambina), also gave her a clue.

Bonnie wrinkled her nose at the increasingly bug-eyed look Elena, Matt, and Caroline were giving them. She could no longer tell if it was because of Stefan casually manhandling her or his current expression. Going with the latter, Bonnie prepped her face for his rage. At least she was dealing with the lesser of two evils, if this was Damon she was dealing with she knew she would have to pull out the big guns to appease him.

"Yes, Steffy?" Bonnie looked up under her lashes, blinking innocently at him. She immediately started playing with the sleeve of his shirt.

Stefan grabbed hold of her hand, his large palm dwarfing hers completely. She was forced to look into his eyes. Fearing anger, Bonnie was surprised to see confusion instead. "What are you wearing?"

"Clothes?" She tilted her head.

That caused the brooding lines on his forehead to get deeper and Bonnie had to bite her lip from laughing at a joke she remembered Damon telling her about them.

"Are you sure you want to walk around like that, here ?"

Bonnie rolled her eyes, confirming how she thought Stefan would react. Let the overprotective charade begin.

"Stefan there's nothing wrong with the way I'm dressed. More than half of the girls here are dressed worse than this. Your girlfriend and I basically have on the same outfit," she gestured to Elena who had on a red shirt and tight bell-bottom jeans. Some of the skin on her stomach was showing and the long necklace she wore drew eyes to get lost between her full cleavage. "How is it different now that I'm wearing it?"

Stefan worked his jaw not even bothering to look at his girlfriend and it reminded her of the look Damon gave her earlier. Like she was a bratty little girl acting out to get attention.

Bonnie felt a fire grow in her stomach.

"She's right Stefan, it's not a big deal. Bonnie's a beautiful girl, she should be able to show off like the rest of us." His girlfriend came to her defense and Bonnie sighed.

"It's different." Stefan finally stopped glaring at Bonnie to tell the chestnut-haired girl.

"How?" Elena's face crumpled into confusion.

"Yeah, how so?" Bonnie crossed her arms. This would be good.

"Alright, guys let's just calm down. It's a nice day, we should enjoy it…" Matt tried to intervene.

"It just is." Cue the double standard.

"No," Bonnie spoke calmly even though she wanted to scream. "It's only different for you and your brother because you both want to keep me in this little box that you've built around me as the perfect little sister. It's always been this way." Bonnie's face tightened. "What did you do when we were little? I climb a tree you tell me to get down, I play with a dog you tell me to get back, I run too fast you tell me to slow down. What do you do now? I put on makeup you tell me to take it off, I put on cute clothes you tell me to put on layers, I straighten my hair you tell me to curl it," she pointed a finger to her hair, "I talk to boys you tell me to stop!"

"B-Bon…" Caroline started, worried that her friend was finally going to have that meltdown she felt was soon to happen. Caroline had felt an increasingly distressed energy from her friend for the past few weeks. Bonnie had seemed anxious and snappish for a while now and Damon's actions from earlier were not helping, it was clear the Salvatore brothers were on thin ice.

Stefan's hazel eyes widened and he relaxed as he realized what she was trying to say, "Bambi…"

"No! Don't bambi me. I've had forty-eight periods Stefan, forty-eight! I'm not a baby anymore so let me be."

Sighing, Stefan pulled her hand that had tightened into a fist into his hold, cradling her cute digits he began massaging her hand hoping to release some tension. "You're right," He said still focused on her hand and the bracelet he gave her for her tenth birthday, it was dainty and cute just like her in gold with star and moon embellishments. He has never seen her without it, or the ring that she wore on her middle finger that Damon bought for her on her last birthday.

Bonnie squeezed her fist together causing Stefan to look up. "Wait, really?" She voiced in a way that showed she was hesitant to believe him. The brothers weren't known to give up easily, although Stefan was always the more agreeable brother. Damon and his reaction was the one she was the wariest about.

"Yeah really…" Stefan smirked handsomely. "We're the same age, Bonnie, I'm still the big brother though since we're a few months apart. If I feel like I'm becoming a man then you have every right to exercise your freedom to become a woman."

Bonnie's pout opened slowly as she gazed at him.

"It's hard, I'm not going to lie…seeing you grow up and all that that entails." His eyes darkened dangerously behind her and she had a feeling it was at some guys who were still sizing her up. His dark eyes settled back on her and she felt a cold chill having never seen this side of Stefan before. "But I respect your choices Bambi, because I love you, and because we've seen what happens when taking away a woman's choice."

Bonnie's eyes softened. All of that fire in her gut completely diminished. Her heart ached for Stefan knowing exactly what he meant by that. Suddenly she could see beyond her selfish need to be seen as older and realized her position in Stefan and Damon's lives, and why they tried so hard to protect her. She didn't want to be the cause of more of their pain.

Her heart panged remembering what her future entailed and what she had yet to tell the brothers although her grandmother warned her to.

Stefan brushed a curl from her face, his eyes fond, "Just don't grow up too fast alright?"

Bonnie smiled and Stefan thought she looked like she did when she was five and he told her to wait for him as he went to gather wood and berries for the game they were going to play outside. He kissed her forehead before picking up her prewrapped club sandwich and opening the packaging for her. He pushed back the plastic and held it out for her. Bonnie whispered a thank you and took it from his hand with both hands and started happily munching.

She may have surprised him greatly with how she was starting to fill out her clothes. There weren't many girls who had curves at Mystic Falls High like Bonnie's and of what he could see while she sat, he could guarantee that she had the best, but to him, it didn't matter and that little smile of hers affirmed it. She would always be his baby. He was sure his brother felt the same.

Peaceful one more, the group continued talking as everyone ate their meals.

"Vicki's on the prowl again at three-o-clock." Caroline casually stated to hide the distaste in her tone, interrupting the conversation Bonnie and Elena were having about a show they recently watched.

"Not to Damon again, I hope." Elena grimaced.

Bonnie heard the disgust in her friend's voice but didn't think much of it. Anyone who knew the story behind Vicki and Damon would probably feel the same way.

"God damnit, Vik." Matt groaned, clearly embarrassed by his sister. He had finished his lunch and was in the middle of going to work on the rest of Elena's school cafeteria nachos when he heard the fuss. The group looked up in time to see a leggy brunette dressed in short shorts that were definitely not school appropriate and a pink camisole slithering her way toward where Damon usually sat with his senior friends. They were a group of rowdy boys—more like a pack of wolves to some, they were who you knew to go to for the latest parties or as far as the girl's rumor mill went—the best dick.

It made Bonnie frown to see Vicki strut up to the infamous group without a care.

It felt like almost everyone sitting in the courtyard was spectating Vicki's utter demise. The girl's reputation had been completely tarnished after the pregnancy fiasco. She had been part of the popular crowd of senior girls, on the top ten list of who everyone wanted to sleep with, but after it was found out that she lied on Damon like an obsessed fangirl, her friends dropped her. She lost all credibility and respectable popularity, and she spent most of her time with the stoners or the errant jock who wanted some play.

Bonnie felt bad for her in all honesty. She may not have liked hearing that Damon potentially got a girl pregnant, in fact, it was a pretty dark time in her life if she was being honest…but she didn't like the bullying that ensued due to a girl not being sure how to handle her feelings. She could sympathize. Damon may seem like a jerk to most people as Caroline stated, but he was passionate, smart, funny, and incredibly protective and that was just the tip of the iceberg that was Damon Salvatore. Bonnie knew that if anyone could break the surface of him and see his sensitivities and deepest inner workings, they would fall madly in love… as she did.

Bonnie blushed at the thought.

Vicki walked up to where Damon sat resting on the ground, his shades were in place as his friends joked and laughed around him whereas he stayed peacefully still and silent. Her long endless legs made a great view even from where Bonnie was sitting and it made a nervous feeling build in her gut wondering how Damon would react. Damon moved his lips but from where they were sitting, they couldn't hear a thing.

"Oh, shit she touched down," Caroline whispered.

"What do you think she's saying?" Elena murmured.

Vicki placed all her weight on one hip, her manicured hand resting on it. She swung her wavy tresses after seemingly stating something and the boys sitting there minus Damon started whooping and hollering. "Ohhh!" That holler at least they could hear.

Still repose with his aviator sunglasses invariably in place, Damon moved his lips again once they calmed down. Whatever he said changed Vicki's whole demeanor. What was once a confident stance slowly wilted as Damon kept talking. Her posture became hunched, her legs brought themselves together and her arms crossed defensively.

Vicki shook as she said one last thing. Whatever she said caused surprised expressions to flit across the group's faces. But that quickly changed with the last words that left Damon's lips.

Vicki started crying on the spot and Bonnie frowned. Turning, the girl ran past the students and into the school with tears streaming down her face.

"Wow, I didn't hear a thing and that was better than most of what I've seen on TV lately." Caroline stated after a beat.

"What do you think he said?" Elena tried not to look too curious as she took wary glances in Matt's direction, but it was pointless.

"Whatever it was it shut her down pretty quick." Caroline was a bit more oblivious to Matt's feelings between the two as she munched amusedly on a carrot stick swiped distractedly from her plate.

"...Hey guys, I'm gonna go check on Vik." Matt scowled into his food. Bonnie didn't think he had looked up again after he noticed that his sister was up there talking to Damon. Probably to avoid the show. She felt bad for her friend the most in this situation. As much as she heard from the rumor mill of their high school, Matt undoubtedly got it the worst in the boy's locker rooms, and as an underclassman in more cases than not he had to keep his mouth shut, that or risk it getting wired shut after he was sent to the hospital for defending his sister. Regardless, he'd been in more fights than Bonnie could count already in her honor. He always said it was what he had to do as the only man of the house, that he had to protect his sister.

"I wish Damon didn't add fuel to the fire." Stefan shook his head, finishing his food and balling up his napkin before throwing it on his tray. "The girl gets enough harassment as it is, he doesn't have to make a spectacle of her."

Bonnie pulled in her lip, she understood where Stefan was coming from. Damon in his pursuit of vengeance didn't care how dirty he had to get, he also didn't have a filter and didn't care to not hurt the feelings of people whose names didn't end in Bennett or Salvatore. He could be quite cold, but she also remembers what he went through when it first came out that Vicki accused him of getting her pregnant. The school was one thing, but once it reached his father's ears... Bonnie shivered at the memory…Guiseppe was not happy in the least. The man had big plans for Damon and a baby out of wedlock was not one of them.

Not only that but the girl sought Damon out on almost every occasion since the blowout. He had only put her on blast once, the other times she went looking for it as if she enjoyed the embarrassment.

"I don't know, Stef, I think Vicki's the one asking for drama here. He never bothers her." Elena defended Damon surprising everyone at the table. It was no secret that Elena hated Damon. Ever since he beat up her brother back in middle school for bullying Bonnie, Elena's never had a nice thing to say about him even when she started dating Stefan. Bonnie would even say that ever since the two had begun dating, Stefan had become more critical and distant toward his brother. Even judgemental like Elena was, to Damon's actions. Hearing her sympathize with him, especially in a situation she could easily spin to her benefit and shine as an example of Damon being an asshole was odd, to say the least.

"...Yeah, I mean, I don't know Damon well outside of you two," Caroline referred to Stefan and Bonnie, "but I think most people would agree that Vicki is digging her own grave here."

"All I'm saying is that he should be more sensitive, especially to the women he chooses to sleep with. Vicki was always a wild one, she's had a crush on him since grade school and she was never afraid to show it. He should have known better than to play with her feelings."

Bonnie could agree with that but she didn't like that Stefan was blatantly omitting truths.

"That's fair but he never talked to her until they played Seven Minutes in Heaven at Logan Fell's party last summer. After seeing him a few times during the summer she apologized for the rumors of people saying she was obsessed with him and asked for a date. He didn't go out with her until they met a few more times and from what he said, she seemed cool. All the way up until they had sex." Bonnie frowned. "Turns out, her friends rigged the game for her at the party they kissed at and she was basically stalking him all summer placing herself in his optimum line of sight so that he'd notice her. She was very calculated. Although they only had sex once she used that and ran away with the pregnancy story."

Stefan lifted his eyebrows up but didn't say anything to challenge it. She knew how it looked to him and everyone else. She was Bonnie Bennett the forever defender of Damon Salvatore. People usually gave up arguing with her when it came to him.

"On that note," Elena leaned her head over Bonnie's frame to lock eyes with Stefan, "we've got twenty more minutes until class, Stefan you wanna help me with something in my car." Elena smiled innocently but Caroline and Bonnie were no idiots, they knew exactly what that meant. Bonnie hid her smile at Caroline who rolled her eyes and mimed herself throwing up.

"Uh…yeah." Stefan turned back to Bonnie, an obvious question in his eyes.

"Go ahead, if you want to talk more we can do it later. Caroline and I were planning on studying before our next test anyway."

Slowly a smirk pulled at Stefan's lips at the slight attitude she put in the statement. Clearly, she was still reeling from him treating her like a child. "Alright," He brought her close once again and kissed her forehead before whispering into her hairline, "You look very pretty by the way, even with your…outfit."

Bonnie rolled her eyes but allowed him to snuggle her, breaking a smile across her face when he rubbed her back.

Before she knew it he was off with Elena. The attractive couple walked hand and hand to the parking lot to make out.

Bonnie watched them idly thinking about how good they looked together aesthetically. Elena was very pretty. One of the prettiest girls in their grade. With her long willowy limbs, big doe eyes, and long straight brunette hair, she was just Stefan's type…Damon's type too if he ever settled for the girl next door brunettes instead of the fiery ones he usually went for. Not that Damon was super picky in his choices, he talked to any girl that was pretty and vivacious enough, but Bonnie could see that he had a special spot for the dark beauties.

Sighing, Bonnie turned back to her finished meal and crumpled the plastic.

"You ready?" Caroline spoke into her compact, retouching her makeup.

"Yeah."

The girls stood up and immediately started chatting as they walked toward the trash cans to throw away their trash.

"...and then he says to me, I don't know Caroline what do you wanna do?" The blonde snorts, "Um buddy, you asked me on a date, you figure it out!"

Bonnie giggled as the vibrant blonde recalled one of her recent horrible dates.

"Hey…! Hey Bonnie!"

Both girls looked up at the sight of a tall lanky boy running their way. As he got closer, showing his beaming white teeth in a smile, both girls instantly knew who it was. The protege of the swim team and one of the hottest guys in their class, Ben McKittrick.

"Me?" Not used to stunningly attractive boys—scratch that, any guy that wasn't approved by the Salvatore brothers coming up to her and chatting her up, Bonnie wasn't sure it was really her he meant to talk to. Even Matt was nearly forbidden to talk to her, don't even get her started once puberty hit, but it was hard to split friends you grew up with although Damon surely tried.

The thought made her square her shoulders and lift her chin.

"Yeah, you," Ben smirked, his eyes clearly having fun taking a tour of her body before going back to her face. "Hey Caroline," He nodded.

Caroline lifted a brow and put her hand on her hip, trying to show that she was unimpressed but Bonnie knew it was a front. The girl was probably jumping up and down on the inside after seeing who approached them in front of half the school. This was sure to bump up their popularity in Caroline's eyes. "Ben, hello ."

"Hey," Bonnie brushed back a tendril of hair behind her ear once again nervous when he brought his gaze back onto her. "What's up?"

"Nothing much…I just wanted to say you look great today and I wanted to know if you were going to the end-of-the-year bonfire tomorrow night."

"Wait, you got invited to that?" Caroline rudely interrupted her voice tart.

"Yeah?" Ben's face crumbled in confusion.

"I mean…sorry it's just I heard it was just for upperclassmen."

Ben snorted, "Ha, no, who told you that? Everyone's going to be there."

Bonnie and Caroline shared a look. That bitch.

"Anyways if you're free," Ben was suddenly in Bonnie's space. His smirk although handsome seemed a little predatory. "I was hoping we could go together."

"Um…Ben, although I appreciate it, Caroline and I kinda promised to take each other."

Caroline frowned, "Bon—"

"Right, Care?" Bonnie gave her a look before turning back and smiling at Ben.

He chuckled good-naturedly, finally backing up a bit to rub the back of his head. "No worries, I understand. Um, well, could you at least save me a dance?" Ben's pretty brown eyes widened coaxingly.

Shifting around uncertainly, Bonnie settled on an answer. "Sur—"

"Bonnie."

Ben's body jerked forward as a tall body with dark hair and icy blue eyes shoulder-checked him.

"What the fuck?" Bonnie watched as Ben's face crumpled into anger as he struggled to stay on his feet before looking up to catch sight of who it was that shoved into him. Ben was a nicely built boy, with strong muscles and above average height, meaning he wasn't one to get intimidated easily. Least to say, it was a surprise to see him clam up as soon as he saw who it was. "O-oh hey bro, I was just asking her if she was—"

"Get the fuck out of here," Damon growled not even looking at the younger boy.

Ben backed away without a word, he just sucked on his teeth and glared.

"What Damon?" Bonnie crossed her arms, reading his energy and feeling instantly irritated. His moods tended to vastly shift hers.

"Don't what Damon, me." He seethed, clearly incensed.

"Hey, guys…" Caroline watched the two glare and snark at each other and she felt nervous like she was watching the beginning of a cock fight.

"I can say what I want Damon. I thought I made that clear in my earlier rant."

"No," He narrowed his gaze onto hers, "the fuck you can't."

"Should I leave you two alone?" Caroline tried to get out again. Once more completely ignored. She watched the two edge closer and closer together until they were almost in each other's faces.

"You're not the boss of me Damon, how many times do I have to say that?" Bonnie growled, standing right in his face unintimidated.

"Okay, I'll just meet you in the library Bon…" Caroline took steps back, waiting for the couple to acknowledge her. When they didn't she raised her brows and left.

"I disagree." He moved even closer to her, making her stumble back.

"See that's why—wait, where's Care?" In her exasperation, Bonnie finally looked around.

"Doesn't matter," Damon placed his hand purposefully on the brick wall of the school building behind her, regaining the girl's attention. "What's going on with you today? You've been acting like a spoiled brat, well…more so than usual." He grinned.

Bonnie glanced at his lips, heat caressed her skin so she looked away, preferring to pull at the material on the hem of her shirt. "I don't know what your talking about." She answered rather petulantly.

Distracted, Damon finally looked down at what she was wearing. Backing up a step he took her all in, "What. The. Fuck."

Smirking Bonnie thought to get smart, "What? See something you like?"

Damon took hold of her arm before pulling her back and forth to see the front and the back.

"Damon!" The girl huffed at the sudden manhandling.

"That's it, I've got to be losing my mind today. There's no other answer for this."

Bonnie ripped away from him. "Stop being so dramatic." She glared, the fire in her eyes caused his to narrow.

"What is it Bonnie, your big brother not giving you enough attention so you start dressing like a slut? You want attention from these losers instead?" He widened his blue eyes crazily. He didn't do that unless she was really pushing his buttons. Normally that meant she should tread carefully but after he had the gall to flirt with an actual slut in front of her and then after her conversation with Stefan she really didn't care.

"There's nothing wrong with what I'm wearing Damon. Anyways, it shouldn't matter, I don't have anything that they would go for."

"Don't have…" Two dark brows narrowed until they almost connected in the middle and his eyes squinted as if that was the dumbest thing he'd ever heard. "You've got to be joking."

"You tell me. What's your type?" Bonnie pulled her lips up and questioned archly.

"Bonnie, baby…" He peered back in forth between her two eyes, "Is this about last night?"

Bonnie's eyes flashed and a tingling started there that burned straight down to her nose and clogged her throat. How dare he? "Of course not, you made your feelings then loud and clear."

Damon's eyes softened, for a minute or two they held each other's stare and Bonnie fought hard not to cry. She knew he was reading her, like the back of his hand, like her home phone number which he knew by heart, he knew her the same. A connection she's always loved before she felt like she hated now. She loathed that he made it so hard to hide from him.

With a sigh, he rested his forehead against hers. "BonBon, it's not…"

"Stop," Bonnie cleared her throat to stop from getting worked up, "I'm over it."

Still connected to her, Damon opened his pretty eyes to hers, brushing his thumb against the hill of her soft cheek. "Prove it to me…give me a kiss."

Bonnie eyed him, then his lips. His soft, perfect lips.

What if, this time…they actually did kiss? Like she's always wanted to.

Breathing deep, Bonnie lifted her chin, as close as they were her nose brushed his and her lips tingled from his minty breath.

She could do it.

She could show him that she was woman enough to do it. And she would do it, right there in front of the whole school.

She felt Damon tense as she got closer, but she ignored it. Her lips almost touching his made her stomach tighten and heat grow between her thighs. She felt sweat pebble on her lower back from the humidity in the air.

Finally, she pressed her lips sweetly, firmly…on the end of his.

She couldn't do it.

Just like last night, she didn't have the courage to face his rejection.

She loved him too much, too damn much to deal with it, not just once but twice within twenty-four hours.

When she pulled back his eyes had darkened with something she couldn't decipher and his breath was a little harsh but she focused on what he said instead. "...Now tell me you love me."

"I love you."

He grabbed her chin forcing her to look into his eyes. "Again."

"I love you, Damon…Ti amo più di chiunque altro." (I love you more than anyone) Her face softened to him, her expression was sweet and adoring in a way that always got his heartbeat racing. He would kill to keep that look on her face.

"Love you too," He smirked down at her, "Now was that so hard?"

Bonnie stared back, feeling a blush grow on her cheeks.

"We kissed and made up. Just like always."

"Yeah well, I'm still not changing." She lifted her chin and he held it firmer within his grasp causing him to stiffen.

"Sarai la mia morte (You'll be the death of me) , I just know it." He stated forebodingly but his expression lightened. "Tell me at least that you're not actually thinking of going to that party." His voice was low and intimate, it caused goosebumps to rise on her skin that doubled as he brought his hand through the back of her hair and rubbed the nape of her neck.

His thumb sat squarely on her pulse point and his eyes focused on the heavy thrumb of her heartbeat against it. He seemed intrigued by the way it accelerated and her breathing labored.

This is what she couldn't stand, how he denied her but at the same time enjoyed playing with her like she was his doll. He knew what he was doing.

Bonnie pulled his hand from her neck, gasping when his fingers accidentally brushed the tops of her breasts.

Unsure if he was smirking because of that or her annoyance, Bonnie tried to focus on what he'd asked instead. As much as he always liked to say he was her big brother he didn't always treat her like one. "I think you know the answer to that."

His jaw tensed, "What are you doing tonight?"

"The Grill."

Damon nodded once, "Come see me afterward. We need to talk."

Bonnie released a breath knowing she wouldn't tell him no. Rather than seeing it as her once again giving up control, she knew it was for the better if they actually talked, about last night…and about what was to come for the future.

Happy that she wouldn't refuse like he knew she wouldn't, Damon's customary smirk appeared on his face doing all sorts of things to her stomach. He pulled a springy curl from her face, extending it until it reached the top of her chest, and released it so that it popped up like a spring. "That's my girl."

AN: So in this chapter we get a little more insight into some of they dynamics between the students at Mystic Falls High. I really got inspired by early 00s teen flicks, especially those scenes where the hot girl arrives and everyone stops what they're doing to stare, haha. Bonnie shows off what she's really working with and while her school mates are here for it, the Salvatore Brothers are forced begrudgingly to accept the change.

Next chapter is filled with Bamon and we're going to see a softer more affable side to Damon. I know he's been a major asshole so far (I low key love asshole Damon but that's just me, teehee). Tell me what you thought about this chapter and what you think will happen next! I hope you guys are still enjoying it and the drama, there's more to come!
