Disclaimer: I own neither Akame ga kill nor Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice. They both belong to their respective owner.
"Oi Lubbock! You are in there aren't you?" The busty blonde woman says loudly as she knocks at the metal gate of the shop, 'Book Night', informing whoever in the building their arrival. But no one replies, so she lockpicks the door of the metal gate, " *Click* " successfully unlocked the door and they entered the store.
They search the whole shop, the staff room, storage room, even the 'secret hideout', which is the basement, yet they fail to find the person they are looking for. "Lubbock isn't here, maybe he is slacking off somewhere," she thought aloud. Having a reason for them to skive off, Leone says to the shinobi, "Let's wait somewhere and return a moment later."
Without waiting for his reply, Leone has already dragged Sekiro out and starts walking to the street.
Boss's order is simple: group up with the one assassin who's currently scouting in the Capital, then go and examine the truthfulness of their client's words with the assistance of that member. Unfortunately, said member is lazing somewhere they aren't certain of, meanwhile he is being pulled by the exciting lady to god knows where.
"...Where are we going?" Still being dragged by Leone, Wolf remains his stoic expression and asks his companion. Without slowing down a bit, the energetic lady answers, "To a bar of course, nothing beats drinking beer to pass time!"
Upon hearing this, Wolf immediately stomps on the ground and moves to the opposite direction, stopping her track as she still holds on to his arm. Before the mission starts, Najenda specifically tells him to not let Leone get drunk before a mission.
She yelped, almost falling due to the sudden pause. "What's wrong Sekiro?" Leone asks, the shinobi reply. "Boss says to not let you get drunk before the mission." She turns to him and now pulls with both her hands. "Ah c'mon! A cup or two won't make me drunk, it won't affect the mission I promise!" She argues.
"No." Unmoved from her reasoning, the one-armed wolf slowly drags her back to where they come from. "We are going back to the shop." The women try to resist, she can't stand sitting and wasting time doing nothing. But to no avail, the pulling contest seems to be at stalemate as they go back and forth.
"Fine, I won't. Can we at least walk around the town?" Giving up on her wish, she bargains for at least some sort of freedom. "Hmm…" Wolf thought to himself, after some consideration, he let go of her hand. "...Fine."
Leone scratch where Wolf grip her to lighten the pain. "If only I transform…" She mutters. Wolf was able to overhear her muttering and humming in response, "…Transform?" He fails to suppress his curiosity and accidentally spills out his thoughts. Hearing that, Leone uses that to tease the boring man.
"Curious isn't it? Want to fulfil the 'boys dream' don't you!" Except she doesn't get the result she wants, Wolf is deadpanned, confused by her word and unsure what to respond. She sighs, "You truly are one humorous man…" Seeing the man still confused, Leone shakes her head and continues.
"Nevermind that, my Teigu 'Lionel' allows me to transform into a beast, which enhances my senses and strength." Wolf nods to her explanation, but there is still one thing that he has no knowledge of. "...Teigu?"
"Teigu are relics created on the instruction of the founder of the Empire, there are a total of 48 of them, though most of them were lost during the past civil war. There is one unwritten rule that everyone can only use one Teigu at a time due to their heavy strain on their user." Sekiro hummed to her word. "I see."
"Everyone in Night Raid is or at some point possesses a Teigu. The belt I am wearing is Lionel, it grants me beast-like appearance and power up. The firearm Mine carry is Pumpkin, its fire power and range depends on the danger the user is in. Sheele…"
Leone continues to educate Wolf the knowledge of Teigu, the Teigu they possess, why Akame is referred as the one hit killer and their trump card. "I see." Sekiro says and nods his head to express his appreciation. Leone placed her hand on his hip, showing she is proud of her action.
"So can we go to a pub?" Leone's one last attempt at convincing the man is crushed as he emotionlessly disapproves of it once again . They then wander aimlessly around the street as she considers this being better than sitting at the bookstore.
"At first I didn't notice it," Leone said suddenly, "but why are you carrying two swords?" She then points toward the more noticeable red blade tidying on his back.
Wolf thinks for a moment, attempting to better phrase it. He points to the dark sword hanging beside his hip "...One is to kill," he then gestured to his back with his thumb, "another one is an unusable burden."
After severing the tide to immortality, he is free from the immortal oath. So supposedly, he would no longer possess the undying curse. Yet, Wolf is unsure of it, maybe the ritual truly ceases the immortality once and for all, or perhaps it exclusively stops the divine blood from reappearing once more.
Of course he did not test it, during the time staying in the dilapidated temple, he didn't unsheath the mortal blade and swing it around like an ape who just discovered a sword. Furthermore, there aren't any reasons to use the blade, nor any enemies that require the use of its nature.
"Be sure of your targets and intentions before using it."
"So, a Teigu?" Leone questions the shinobi who is deep in thought, Wolf shakes his head, "...More of a cursed blade, those who unsheath it will die." She folded her hand behind her head, digesting the information.
"Then why are you carrying it?" She thought to herself, curious, she is tempted to ask him to elaborate on the accursed blade. However, a guy who is sitting next to a table with an umbrella attachment catches her eyes, it is the green hair pervert.
She suppresses her presence, silently approaches the boy who is busy peeking at girls. Raising her hand, she then karates chop the boy's head. "What are you doing here in Lubbock? Lazing around, not doing your job and instead peeking at girls?" Leone says to the green-haired boy, not bringing up the fact that she too is lazing around as he is now.
The boy who is now known as Lubbock yelps at the sudden hit, pressing on his head with both hands and turning his head toward the blonde assassin. "L-Leone-nee!? Don't our tasks begin at night? I thought you would wait at an inn! I-I…J-Jus…" Panic due the sudden arrival of his crewmates, Lubbock stutters, failing to construct a sentence.
"Calm down!" Leone patted his shoulder, "I won't tell Boss about it." She comforted the boy. Lubbock takes a deep breath to calm himself, it is then he notices there is an old man standing behind Leone, staring at them. "Don't mind us, we aren't some weirdo, and I won't randomly peek at girls again, I swear!" He says to the deadpanned man, trying to convince him to move on.
"Don't worry Lubbock, he is our new recruit." Her word catches the green-haired boy's attention, he stares at Leone, waiting for her to elaborate. "He is Sekiro, hand picked by Boss herself, he will accompany and assist us in tonight's mission."
Hearing this, Lubbock glares at the old man, wondering what he has that captures boss interest and picks him, is it because he is old? Or because he's mature? Perhaps it is because he only has one–
The moment he realises he only has one arm, he chuckles. "I see…" Wolf remains silent and simply stares at him, he then sees a string fly out of nowhere, wrapping around the man's arm. "She prefers men with one-arms, isn't she!"
THe blonde lady immediately smacked the man's head, stopping him from doing anything stupid. They then get into an argument, arguing about philosophy regarding women, like how this is related to which type of men she would choose, while Leone denies his thought. All the while, Wolf stands next to them, awkwardly waiting for them to finish.
After they finally settle, it is already about time for lunch. Leone is leading them to a not so well known restaurant that not only is it cheap, the food is tasty as well. They stroll through the street, slowly making their way to their destination.
The green-haired boy is Lubbock, the owner of the bookstore they visited earlier. SImilar to Leone, his role is to gather information in the Capital. He possesses the Teigu 'Cross tail', which takes the form of a pair of gloves, able to shoot out and manipulate an extremely durable wire, enabling the user to utilise the string freely, thus suggesting its title 'Thousand uses'.
"To think you fell in love with the Boss." The women tease Lubbock. He blushed upon hearing her comment. "Yes, I love her! There is nothing wrong about it, right?" Leone giggles and states, "She would love you to be less of a pervert."
He grips his hand tightly, and then passionately states, "That's my hobby, I'ill just have her accept that part!" The women facepalm to his statement, Lubbock then turns to the one-armed shinobi. "Please don't compete with me, you hear me?"
The street started to have less people, Wolf didn't pay much thought about it, but not the teen. So he opened his mouth and asked their guide. "Leone-nee, what kind of diner are we going to? We are near the slums." She freezes, trying to think of an excuse or distraction, however the boy doesn't give her time and continues. " It's an inn isn't it…"
Wolf glances at the cunning woman which sends chills down her spine. She laughs nervously and points to a random cafe located beside them. "I was thinking about this cafe, just heard it opened not long ago. I want to give it a try." They both can tell she is lying, not waiting for their response, Leone enters the building and shouts at the waitress.
"Three people please!" She says, not long after the other two follow forth and enter the cafe. But what they see are not the employees who are working for the restaurant, rather it is two buff men wearing tuxedos standing near the entrance. They scan around and see dozens more people with the same outfit.
"What are you people doing here! Leave now or else!" One of the guards states, demanding for them to leave. Not wanting for trouble, they turn around and head toward the exit, until…
"AHHHHHHHHHH" A person screeches in pain, immediately gathering the assassin group's attention. They look at the direction where the sound comes from, and see three men each holding a girl, while one of them got both her legs forcefully bent and snapping them by another guard.
"Why are you still here! I said leave!" The guard yells again, he takes out a small knife kept inside his suit and threatens them into leaving.
"Sekiro, Lubbock." The blonde lady says to her teammate, they hum in affirmation. "Done." Lubbock informs his companions. "Lionel!" The woman yells and combust into flame, as if fusing with the fire, the flame grows as her hair too grows longer, her hands transform into a beast claw as well as a tail appear above her hip. "Let's go."
They were sold to the Capital to pay off the village debt. Though they aren't the only peoples that were being sold, they are the only ones being chosen to be sold to the Capital rather than to some countryside to do god know what the buyer wants.
One of the girls is Air, who wears a pink coat with a hat, and has the same colour for her long hair and eyes. She is the shyer and purer one among the three girls. Sitting next to her is Luna, the girl with blue colour for her short hair, eyes and coat, her coat also has a bunny-ear attachment. She is the one who appears to be cool and thinks more realistically in the group. As for the tomboyish girl who wears yellow and has a gold-coloured headband, she is Fal, the more energetic one with a bit of fighting experience.
During the trip to the Capital, the trio chat about hoping to have a kind master to serve, wishing to live a wealthy life, meanwhile Luna reminds them to expect the worst.
At first, it's sort of what Fal thought it would be, they reach the Capital gate and meet up with their master, Bach. The man is kind, humorous, he doesn't treat them like trash because he owns them, in fact, he even willing to give them a tour around the Capital, purchasing them clothes they want, treating them in a restaurant when they get hungry and tired from all the walking.
"Please, eat up." Bach gestures to the dishes, welcoming them to eat as they wish. Fal picks up a spoon and begins eating. "This tastes good!" she claims out loud, sits beside her, Luna scoffs at her for her terrible manners.
Their master gives them a chuckle, "I am glad to see you enjoying yourselves." He says as he puts up a smiling face. "Thank you so very much!" The pink-haired girl returns with a bright smile, expressing great gratitude to their loving master.
Unknown to them, the atmosphere has changed, in the back, dozens of loud footsteps can be heard, marching closer to their table. "Of course." The blondie continues to display a smile, but his tone has changed to a colder tone in contrast to his previous playful tone. "Now, time to serve our main course then, shall we?"
A Crowd of gigantic mens along with three guys stand behind Bach, meanwhile few more reach behind the three girls, grabbing and holding them tight in place. Understand that they have been lured into a trap. Fal, being the only one who has a chance to save her friends, resists and turns her body, allowing her leg to face the man's head and kick at his chin.
However, due to size differences, the attack proves to be ineffective as the man is able to take and unfazed by the hit. Surprised by the result, she moves her leg, trying to deliver more attacks. The man casually grabs her wrist and turns it to force Fal to face him while also stopping her assault. "Bastard!" She cries.
Unwilling to give up, she uses her other hand to strike at the bodyguard. Only for him to smash her stomach before her fist reaches, send her flying and crashing into the furniture. She coughs from the strike, and before she gets the chance to recover, the guard grabs her once more.
"What are you people doing here…" A guard yells across the cafe, but the tomboy doesn't care as she is more focused on the word from the man in front of her, discussing what to do with her. "It will be more entertaining to slowly whitter away at this girl." The bald man says, Bach nods and orders his men.
"Understood, then break both her legs." Bach commands. A guard then walks toward her and grips her leg. She resists, opposes the man force, yet she fails, the man's strength overwhelming her and snaps her legs like a twig. She screeches, so loud that it echoes through the whole cafe. "HAHAHAHA!" They laugh, satisfied with her scream.
Back before she was sold, there was a bald man settling at her village, he's been helping the village in different ways. For her, Fal would often join the other villagers to exercise with the man by practising his art.
One time, the man went into the forest to search for food supplies, with Fal accompanying him to carry more food. Usually, it would be a peaceful trip without much danger lurking in the forest. Unfortunately, they encounter a bear type danger beast.
Her first thought was to run away from the danger, however, the man instead walked toward the beast. The bear lunged at the man, only for him to jump, dodging the attack while sending his own strike in midair and continuing the assault with his bare hand once he reached the ground.
The bear refuses to back out, it endure the attack and charges at him. The monk did not retreat, his movement flowed smooth as water, dodging the attack by an inch and returning with a counter attack. Strike after strike, the bear fails to land a single hit on the man while the beast is already severely injured by its prey.
Knowing it was not worth the effort, the beast retreated back into the forest. Fal, who witnessed the fight, was dumbfounded by it. She put even more effort, wishing that one day, she could be as strong as the man.
Sadly, not long after, said man passed away from illness, saying it was karma. Though she is stagnant in progress, she still continues to practise what she has learned, hoping to be able to protect her friends. But reality crashed into her.
She is powerless, unable to protect even herself. These mans' strength can't rival the beast back in the forest, yet she is unable to put up even a fight. She cries, from both the pain and the desperate thought in her mind.
"My turn then." The man with a red nose says, Bash nods once more, gesturing to the guard holding Air. The guard tore her clothes, he proceeded to drop and press her on the ground, the red nose then brought out a dog.
"Say hello to Dogu, it must have been boring since all his toys are broken, go have fun Dogu." The man says to his pet, it makes a sad howl, "Don't be shy!" the man kicks at the dog, forcing it to move. She weeps, giving up and swearing to herself that one day, They will pay.
"Enemies attack!" One of the guards shouted, catching everyone's attention. The speaker is then sliced in half by a blade made of blood.
The moment Leone give the command, Wolf draw his sword and decapitate one of the guard, since Bloodsmoke Ninjutsu will affect his team, and Puppeteer ninjutsu will not be enough to deal with the large amount of enemies, so he stab his blade deep into the man body, utilise the Bestowal Ninjutsu, he coat and enhance his weapon with blood.
The other guard who stands beside the falling corpse reacts and shouts, informing his master of the event. Wolf immediately slash at the man, splitting him in half. Hearing his call, the guards take out their weapon and charge at the intruders.
Leone, being the agiler one, sprint toward the girls, two bodyguards holding a knife stand in her way, in which she jumps above them while also snapping their neck, she holds on to the corpses then throws it at another guard who tries to jump at her.
Few rushes at Leone, but they are blocked by something invisible, the beast girl punches at them, breaking their body into pieces. A man holding his knife and thrust at the intruder, only for her to side step it and catch his hand, she then knee at the man's arm and is able to crack it. He kneels from the pain, the lion lady steps on his head and pops it as if it's a balloon.
With her enhanced sense, she smells someone sneak behind her, she turns around and punches through the fixed man's stomach, and throws the dying man to a guard who is charging toward Lubbock.
Although the three men are terrified, since they weren't expecting someone that strong would intrude in the middle of their entertainment, but their fears are overwhelmed by their rage, livid at their minions who do nothing to stop them.
"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING! KILL THEM!" The red nose yells, sending more men to attack the intruder. But to no avail, the assaulter swiftly ends them, more and more men fall yet fails to even slow the assassin down. They are either torn apart by the blond lady, or sliced into pieces by the one-armed man. Those who try to ambush them, pause in the middle of an attack and get finished off by the duo.
Seeing a couple of their men standing still, the obese man commanded, "MOVE! YOU USELESS TRASH!" They disobey his order, remain absolute still as if they were fixed by something. The bald man realised they can't defeat them, so he directed a few men to capture the three girls as hostages.
"STOP OR I WILL FUCKING KILL HER!" The guard who is holding the blue wearing girl yells at Leone. Still, she continued the assault, as if she didn't hear his word. So he shouts again. "I SAYS–"
"Go ahead." He shot at the voice, spotted a green-haired boy moving his hand, as if he's taunting them. Provoked by him, he pointed the knife at the blue-eyed girl and thrust at her. Except he can't, wire covering his whole body which takes control of him, forcing him to stop midway. He looks at his companions and is able to notice the same thing is occurring.
Lubbock tightened his grip, garrotting the guards and ending their lives. Bach knows they can't fight back, he leads his boss near the window and smashes, shattering the glasses and jumping out the building. Even then, they once again fail as their escape route is already blocked by wire, too tight for them to climb out.
" *Tud…Tud…Tud…* " The lion lady slowly made her way to them. Bach takes off his clothes, displaying his 'Slave seal'. "Please don't kill me! I am being fo–" Not waiting for him to finish, Leone punches through his head and ceases his rambling talk. His three higher-ups were terrified by the scenery.
"Now then." The beast woman says, cracking her knuckles. They know that if they do nothing, they will face the same fate as the blonde traitor. "W-Wait!" She keeps on getting closer. "We can give you any man you want!" Unmove by his offer, she continues to walk forward. Crying with a runny nose, they beg the killer. "YOU WANT MONEY? POWER? WE CAN GIVE YOU THAT! PLEASE… SPARE ME!"
Leone remains silent, stares at her target with disgust. She slams them into the wall, repeatedly hitting them until they stop breathing. The blonde woman turns around to look at her teammate. Lubbock interrogates the captive for information, meanwhile Sekiro is handling the three girls.
"What you got, Lubbock?" She asks the man, in which he replies, "They just spill out every detail, their base, members, who they work for." Tightening his hand, he kills all the captives. "I see, I will deal with these pests later." Leone nods her head and turns to Wolf, observing him take out a brown gourd, hand it to the tomboy and gesture for her to drink.
"Medicine, drink up." The old man says. Having no choice, Fal takes a sip of the gourd, and she furrows, the drink is cold, tastes bitter and salty, like those Leung Cha her parents force her to drink.
It is then she notices the pain from her knee lightening, now able to move it a little. So she holds her breath, chugging down the medicine until she no longer feels hurt. Meanwhile Leone led the pink-haired girl to somewhere more private for her to change to the clothes she bought, while Luna, worried about Fal, decided to sit beside her.
After they finish their business, they 'kidnap' the girls and leave to find an actual restaurant, leaving the mess behind for the imperial police force to clean up.
Lubbock leads them to a decent looking diner that is crowded with people, they order food and are now waiting for it to be served. In the meantime, the assassins chat together while the trio silently sit beside them.
"I never knew you were a doctor, Sekiro. What is that anyway?." Leone says to the shinobi with curiosity. In turn, he simply replies emotionlessly, "...I am not a doctor, I don't know much about it except it heals me." Refusing to take that as an answer, she attempts to make Wolf spill more regard to it, until the green-haired teen interrupts.
"What about your sword? Is it a Teigu?" He asks, curious with the blood blade. "No, it's just a technique." The one-armed man says. He continues to ask Wolf more questions, such as his past, is he from the east, and asks him some jutsu that he never heard of before.
"...How did you transform into a lion?" The blue-haired girl suddenly speaks out, which catches the whole table's attention. Though they are still traumatised, their conversation is able to somewhat lighten the mood which grants her the gut to ask.
Leone takes a moment to think, since she can't reveal their Teigu, especially when they aren't part of them. Then, an idea flashes through her mind. "It's just a trick!" She responds, even using the 'separate your thumb' trick to strengthen her words. Luna narrows her eyes, clearly not buying her word, while Air is shocked and worried about her 'separated' finger.
"Anyway," Ignoring their reaction, the busty woman says to change the topic. "What happened to you three?" She asks. Lunal, being the only one who is capable of, answers her question, where they come from, why they are sold to the Capital. Leone nods and humming. Capital isn't safe for them to be in when they have no one that they can rely on, so she gives them a choice.
"What you have witnessed is just the tip of the Empire's atrocity, we won't force you to leave, but we can send you to somewhere safer, or we can return you all back to your village, however, it will very likely for you all to be sold again." Afterward she pauses, giving them a moment to make their decision.
The trio discuss among themselves, though it is mostly Luna stating the risk, while Air and Fal absorb her word. "We have to be cautious, they might do the same as those who bought us." Luna states.
"In that case I will protect you, if there is even a first sign of danger, we will run away." The depressed tomboy declares, her eyes now filled with resolve, refusing to allow the same thing to happen upon them again.
"Well, what do you think?" Notice that they make up their mind, Leone asks them. They nod, signalling that they accept her offer. "Then I will leave them to you, Lubbock. Don't harass them, you hear me?" Only for him to scoff at her. "You sure now is the appropriate time to do it?!" Then, a waitress comes and serves their food.
Afterward, Lubbock contacts and delivers the trio to the revolutionary army. Meanwhile, Wolf and Leone stay near where their task takes place, waiting for their teammate to return.
"I have sent them." The green hair wire user drops from a building and lands behind the two assassins. He motions his hand, creating a pathway that reaches the roof. Leaping from string after string, they are able to get on top of the building.
"Leone-nee." Lubbock tosses the beast women a thread, and with that, they are fully ready for the mission. Lubbock will stay outside to lookout and inform them of any threat with said string, allowing Leone and the shinobi to focus on sneaking in and collecting evidence.
Hiding in the ceiling, they eavesdrop on their target conversation. "You useless moron!" The man scoffs at his underling who is kneeling on the ground, surrounded by other people. "B..But they repay all their debt!" The kneeling man says weakly.
His boss steps on his head and yells, "Just tell them they are still in debt because of the loan, you idiot!" "And we already break them…" He mutters, anxious about how to solve it. In rage, he commands all his men to shoot the kneeling man, turning him into an unrecognisable meat pile.
This conform their client words of they don't intended to return their family at the first place
They exit the building without leaving a single trace, then they return to their hideout and report their finding, as well as what they encountered earlier.
"I see." Their white-hair leader replies. She assembles the whole group to the meeting room and explains their mission. "There are loan sharks that lend money with unaffordable loans, which forces their clients to mortgage their family. Wolf and Leone have confirmed it, therefore, we Night Raid accept the job!"
The assassin nods, which then Najenda continues. "Mine, Sheele, You two will deal with the base located north of the Capital. Bulat, Lubbock, yours is East. And Akame, I assume you can take out the last one located in the north east alone?" The girl with red-eyes nods, as well as the other member.
"What about me?" The shinobi asks, in which his leader replies. "Tomorrow, I will teach you something." Lubbock protested at the back upon hearing the news.
[Side Chapter 4: Spectre]
[Capital]
It's nothing new that the Empire arrests the innocent, convicts them with false charges and executes them. Whether it is because they get in the way of the higher-up, or jealous of things they possess, it could even be as simple as shifting their crime to the innocent. Which is why the Capital's citizens aren't unfamiliar with the event.
Oftenly, that is the end of it. The victims mind breaks, cry for help, scream in pain due to the unendurable torture. They pray, begging for death to release them. It is only then, their devastated, incomplete body will be displayed to the crowd.
However, some were able to endure the torment. With sheer force of will, they withstand the pain, their thirst for revenge keeps their mind from shattering. And even in death, they refuse to rest.
Their remnant reeks of purple haze. Their torned bodies were supported by the burning purple flames. Their mindless forms move, motivated by pure hatred, tempting to kill, especially to slaughter those who wronged them. And so they attack, destroying everything they catch sight of.
Take hold of the torture chamber, the Empire is force to deal with said problem. At first, they send soldiers, since the ghost holds no weapons and can only fight with it bare hands, they underestimate it.
Its form renders physical attack useless, its accursed gas restricts their troops movement. Though not devastating, each strike is capable of sending the twisted thought the spectre possesses, invade and echo within the soldier's mind. Each hit builds up more and more cry, eventually killing them with terror alone. Unable to escape, as whenever they run, the vengeful spirit will teleport near them.
When even their skillest, braver soldiers too fail victims to the wraith. The higher-ups get desperate, they are willing to call any general for backup even if that mean they will join the rebels group the moment they reveal the torture room.
It is then, a young, genius scientist comes with his troops, successfully capturing and containing it without much effort. He sends his mindless creation to lure the spirit, due to the spectre unable to deal significant amounts of physical damage, the durable soldier can withstand its strike. Because they are mindless, it nullified the echoing voice. Unable to distinguish between a real human, the spectre will forever fight with the doll, which trapped it in place, enabling for easy containment.
The young doctor transfers the subject back to his laboratory, which he then studies and experiments on it, and is able to discover how it forms, how to utilise it to improve his soldier.
He is one step closer to his dream.
Author note: Still hate dialogue, but thanks to that, I now sort of understand what role those character will play in the story. Finally know why people say fight scenes mean no progress, use like half of the chapter just for fight scenes. If you have any meaningful criticism and suggestions that allow you to read it more comfortably, please comment it. Also, just add a title for the side chapters.

To Otagema
Thanks. To be honest I am unsure of how the mortal blade could affect it, perhaps I can find something from Sekiro and see if it sounds reasonable enough that I could add it in this fic. As for Emma, at most she would appear in the side chapter and epilogue, or mentioned in the main story.
