Spector looked over the pokemon that had been brought to him and sized it up. A Gabite, badly injured and struggling in the jaws of his Tyrantrum…it was panting badly and it looked like it was bleeding from its neck that was in Tyrantrum's sharp jaws.

For a long moment, Spector seemed to ponder…before putting his hands behind his back. "No. It's too small. I need something with a bigger punch. A Garchomp…maybe another Salamence…I don't know…something USEFUL."

The man turned and waved it off. "It's no use to me. Enjoy yourself."

Tyrantrum's pupil shrunk and it turned SLAMMING the Gabite to the ground. Setting a claw of one of his feet over the shaking Gabite the large T-Rex Pokemon snarled darkly.

Spector took out his phone and snapped his fingers, getting his Absol's attention, who made his way to his trainer's side.

Lumine didn't look at Spector…if anything the Absol was taking in his surroundings. Meadows…a large lake…where small islands were nestled. It looked like the area was filled with good leveled Pokemon…
But Spector didn't seem satisfied with any of them.

GRAAAAAAHHHH!

Neither Spector or Lumine flinched or even reacted from the wailing shrieks of the Gabite.

"Humph…I suppose I really have no choice but to go to the mountains." Spector glanced over towards the snowy mountains of Paldea. "Tch. If we were in Galar, we'd be able to take the train."

Lumine did not respond, but seemed to stare at the lake longingly.
…he could smell the fish…possible fresh water…he could already smell the blood of the Gabite…
…he was so hungry…it was driving him crazy…

Spector kept looking at his phone to see where the strongest large flyers lived…before he paused.

A news article from Mesagoza…apparently lots of students in the Uva Academy were gossiping about the Alolan Champion sticking up for team Star.
…Who was team Star?
Possibly punks like team Skull…

Spector smirked slightly. "So…I'm in the right region for the Alolan Champion to be found at least…" he mused. "Surely she knows where my little flame is."
He looked up and let off a whistle, alerting the Absol and the Tyrantrum. "Change in plans boys, we're stayin' in Paldea for a while. I'll be nice and let everyone hunt tonight."

At the word, Spector's Absol suddenly took off for the lake, baring his teeth and zeroing in on a nearby Sycther who was eating berries.

Spector smirked and opened up three of his Pokeballs, letting out a Salamence, Haxorius and Hydreigon. All of which were wearing collars similar to the one Tyrantrum was wearing…and all looking heavily malnourished.

"I'm feeling generous today." Spector made a 'shooing' motion with his hand. "Go. we hunt for this…'Team Star'"

Without another word, Spector's Pokemon stalked off, the rest of the night filled with cries of terror.

Kitty watched the interaction with her arms crossed and a sarcastic look on her face.
"...Fefnir…this is why we don't bully smaller Pokemon." She grumbled almost stoically. In front of her, the Emboar in question was running around like a maniac, screaming at the top of his lungs…

…while a young Growlithe had its jaws CLAMPED against Fefnir's butt.

Kitty watched the Emboar run around in circles, yelling and shrieking, almost as though he was begging for some sort of help. Apparently all of Fefnir's Fire attacks were of NO affect to the puppy…which meant the fire pup had a…KIND OF advantage.

On Kitty's head, Lilly tilted her head at the spectacle. The Growlithe was…level 9…

…Fefnir was like level 67 or something…
…soooo HOW the heck was this even possible? Fefnir was practically getting beaten up by a baby!

After a moment, Kitty shook her head and reached for her belt, taking out a Pokeball and tossing it gently in the air. Leviathan popped out and accessed the situation…

…before promptly bending over, pointing her fin and laughing loudly at the scene.

"EMBOOOOOARR!"
LEVIATHAN! SHUT UP AND HELP ME!

The Primarina only laughed louder.
FEFNIR YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT!

As the scene panned out, two figures watched the happenings below. They were obscured by the many red rock formations and bushes…thankfully the trainer and her Pokemon didn't seem interested.

Kitty sighed lightly and made a motion with her hand. "Leviathan, could you help Fefnir? Some sort of water move that…won't hurt the Growlithe too much." She put her hands on her hips, shaking her head at the scene.

Leviathan glanced at Kitty and grinned, giving off a small nod. She outstretched her fins and seemed to wait for a moment…before she formed a large water bubble…and SMASHED it into Fefnir.

Fefnir was knocked back, flailing his arms as the wave of water hit him primarily…while the Growlithe only had to deal with a few droplets. The force alone was enough to unlatch the Growlithe from Fefnir's poor unfortunate butt.

Getting knocked back, the Growlithe shook its fur out and glanced towards the Primarina…but quickly scampered away, not wanting to get more wet than it had to.

Sitting up, Fefnir flailed his arms, seething.

LEVIATHAN! YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE!

The Primarina made a mock 'oops' motion with her fin, a sly smirk on her face.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry Fefnir…I meant to hit you in the MOUTH!

Fefnir's eye twitched and he stood up, beginning to stomp over to Leviathan to give her a piece of his mind-

"Ok! Ok ok ok!"
Kitty quickly got in between Fefnir and Leviathan, putting her hands out to stop in-fighting. "That's enough! Fefnir. I TOLD you not to throw rocks at the surrounding Pokemon, didn't I?"

Fefnir went from glaring at Leviathan, to flailing his arms and whining at Kitty. "BOAR! Emboar Emboar!"

"Nya!" Lilly the Sprigatito arched her back and quickly rushed off of Kitty's head, landing on the ground and running to hide behind Leviathan. She got a reassuring fin pat from the Primarina, but Leviathan's attention was on Fefnir getting scolded.

And she was LOVING every second of it!

Kitty on the other hand, crossed her arms and scowled. "Honestly Fefnir…I don't know what to do with you. You're an overgrown child. Every time I THINK I can trust you with something, you do the EXACT opposite of what I had asked."
She put a hand on her head. "...is it me? Am I just not being the trainer you need? Or are you just a natural born mess maker?"

"Boooooaaarr" Fenfir whined, putting his 'hands' together and giving Kitty a pouting face.

As Kitty scolded Fefnir, Leviathan smirked and watched the interaction, softly patting the Sprigatito's head. It was SO much fun to watch Fefnir get lectured, she felt like she needed some popcorn!

Lilly stayed in Leviathan's grip, watching the happenings…

…scrape.

The shiny Sprigatito's ear twitched and she looked to the side, thinking she had heard a noise. She could see a bunch of bushes near some red rocks…

…and two pairs of glowing eyes…eyes made of fire
…wait…

"NYYYAAAAA!"

The group suddenly flinched when the Sprigatito shrieked and quickly looked over- only for Lilly to practically TACKLE Kitty to the ground, trying to hide in her arms.
"WHOA!" Kitty yelped upon landing on the ground. The trainer now was yelping and shrieking as her Sprigatito had attempted to crawl up her shirt in an attempt to hide.

"Gah! Wh- No- Lilly! What's-" Kitty flailed her arms frantically. "Lilly! Lilly stop!"

Fefnir winced and held his hands out, watching his trainer now have to try and wrestle the grass kitten OUT of her shirt. Leviathan gawked at the scene…there was literally NOTHING they could do to help without absolutely soaking or burning their trainer to a crisp.

As the pandemonium continued, the two figures that had been spying on the group quickly dashed away to find another spot. If that Sprigatito called them out, they wouldn't be able to complete their own mission.

"Hey hey hey hey!" Kitty finally managed to grip the Sprigatito by the sides and yanked her out of her shirt. "Oooowww…." She looked over at the spooked cat-Pokemon. "What's wrong? What happened?"

"NYA! NYA NYA!" Lilly pointed at the bushes, her fur and tail poofed out like she had stuck her tongue in an electrical outlet.
FIRE GHOSTS! FIRE GHOSTS!
She pointed her paw accusingly at the bushes.

Both Fefnir and Leviathan looked towards the bush in question…it didn't look like anything was there…
…but then again, the kitten DID say 'Fire GHOSTS'...it was possible it was a Ghost Pokemon that was now invisible to the naked eye.

Frowning Fefnir slowly made his way to the bush, while Leviathan positioned herself in front of Kitty to protect her…

Fefnir narrowed his eyes and scowled, reaching out for the branches of the bushes…
...and pulling them back…to find absolutely nothing…

After a while of waiting and looking around, Fefnire glanced back towards the small Sprigatito who now looked spooked.

Lilly gawked and flailed her kitten arms in protest. "NYAAAA! NYA NYA NYAAA!"
IT WAS THERE! I SWEAR!

Kitty stood up and gently petted Lilly's fur in an attempt to calm the kitten down. "Maybe we should keep moving" She suggested, letting off a small sigh. Taking out a green Pokeball, she offered it to Sprigatito. "Here. You take a rest, I'll let everyone out once we either get to a Pokemon Center or to Artazon."

Leviathan frowned and glanced towards Kitty. "...mon…" She muttered lightly.

Kitty returned Lilly to her ball and put it to her belt, before putting up a hand, smiling awkwardly. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I just want to get this trip done and over with. Especially since Guzma is harping me for being here…" She paused and glanced to the side, a frown on her face.
"...and since this Cassiopeia person…is confusing me to no end."

Kitty seemed to ponder…before she looked back up towards her Pokemon and smiled warmly. "Don't worry! I'm not going to wear myself out!"

Both Leviathan and Fefnir stared at her sarcastically.

Kitty sweatdropped. "Really, is that so hard to believe?"
Returning the Pokemon to their balls, Kitty turned and continued to walk down the path…unaware that she had a Charcadet and a Ceruledge watching her.

As they watched the happenings, the Ceruledge glanced towards the Charcadet.

Are you certain that's the correct trainer?

Positive.
The Charcadet looked up quickly.
That's the one that Atticus' friend Youssef asked to help him confront. If she's headed to Atticus, then she'll have NO choice but to pass Mela's base!

The Ceruledge looked back towards the path the trainer was headed.
Then I will assist you to getting to the one you love. Though…Are you certain she will join your…'Team Star'?

The Charcadet paused and looked to the side.
I…don't know…honestly.

then we will have to make our own circumstances, won't we?
