Sekijiro Kan was both exited and dreading the arrival of this year's batch of gremlins. He loved his kids, he really did, but did they have to cause so much property damage? His wallet was still hurting from last year's kids. He walked into his classroom to find a whole lot of chaos, but surprisingly no fights, though an argument by a vine-haired girl, a blond boy, and a floating head seemed about ready to turn into one.

He walked in and clapped his hands, causing everybody to jump and find their seats. Once everybody was reasonably quiet he addressed his class.

"Hello everybody, My name is Sekijiro Kan, or The Blood Hero: Vlad King, but you can just call me Kan-sensei or sensei. I will be your teacher for the foreseeable future at UA, I hope that you all are willing to learn.

Orientation was predictably boring, Nezu droned on and on about rules and regulations and said "plus ultra" every third sentence, but the slideshow scrolling behind him was halfway to giving a blonde-haired girl with horns an aneurysm. It was switching slides every few seconds and they were so tightly packed with text that only about half of the students could skim it and only Izuku could comprehend it all. The horned girl leaned over and whispered in accented japanese into the ear of the only boy who is nodding along.

"What does that mean?" all that the girl had accomplished was exposing herself to sensory overload via a speed talking izuku on top of the slideshow and Principal.

After the Assembly had finished, Izuku was doing his usual hyperactive bouncing, and Pony Tsunotori, for that is who she was, had comical swirls in her eyes from all the information that she had to not only absorb, but translate into english, nearly doubling the mental workload.

She had had to tell the strange boy too slow down, several times, and still ended up far beyond her mental capacity. She finally introduced herself.

"Hi, I'm Pony Tsunotori. I never got your name." Izuku stopped in his ADHD bouncing to respond.

"My name's Izuku Midoriya, Nice to Meet'cha he said, in accented english. Pony was shocked. How did he know to speak english? Furthermore, how did he speak english so perfectly? We just started high school! Pony decided to just accept the blessing.

"Oh, I didn't know that you spoke english. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to help with my japanese? It would help me out a lot."

Izuku, the bleeding heart that he is, nodded.

"It would be no problem, and I'm happy to help. I just hope you can keep up with my talking speed. It's been an issue in the past."

Pony only nodded. She was sure to be confused, but if she could keep up with Midoriya, she could keep up with anybody.
