Beginning of Day 10
It was the day after the second class trial.
We all headed to Maki's lab on the 3rd floor of the school building.
It was time… to show what was inside her lab, since everyone knew she was the Ultimate Assassin because of Kokichi during the class trial.
CHAPTER 3
Transfer Student from Beyond the Grave
Daily Life
She let us in, as we began to look around.
« Wh-what the heck is this ? » Kaito asked in amazement.
« It's like a weapon warehouse. » Rantaro noted.
« See, I told you she's not the Ultimate Child Caregiver… She's the Ultimate Assassin ! » Kokichi grinned.
« And you learned that from eavesdropping on Maki and Ryoma talking about it, right ? » I asked him.
« Hm ? Well yes, but actually no. I knew the whole time. Given my position, I would obviously know before any of you, right ? » Kokichi said.
« That's obviously a lie. » I said.
« Aww, you got me. » He smirked at me.
« But why would you lie, Maki ? » Angie asked her.
« Cuz assassins hide to do all their killing ! Duh ! » Miu laughed.
« But I doubt Maki would try to kill us, she had many opportunities to do so. » Keebo noted.
Kokichi and him began to argue, until Miu gave a suggestion I did not like.
« Let's just lock her up somewhere so she can't kill anyone ! »
« No Miu ! We can't do that ! We have to work- » Kaede said out loud.
« Shut up ! No one believes your 'work together' bullshit ! Four people died in case you're living under a rock ! » Miu snapped.
« Hey ! Leave her alone ! And we're not locking anyone up ! I believe in Maki ! » Kaito exclaimed.
« E-eek ! I-I was just suggesting… » Miu froze in panic.
« … » Himiko didn't say anything.
Poor girl… She's still affected by Tenko's death…
« If I may suggest… Atua and I will work with everyone to uphold the peace. » Angie added.
Crap… She's still going to create the Student Council… But with Tenko, Tsumugi and Gonta dead, would it even happen ?
I broke out of my thoughts as Monokuma suddenly appeared !
« Oh ! I don't need everyone's usual reactions ! Time's a bit of a factor here ! » He said.
« Urgh ! What do ya want ?! » Miu snapped at him.
« I came here to give you all a wonderful prize ! » He declared.
He waited…
« I said, I came here to give you all a wonderful prize ! » He shouted.
« Rise and Shine, Ursines ! » The Monokubs appeared.
« Finally ! And wait, have you guys always been this cute ? I-It's… It's making me go bald ! » Monokuma began to lose his 'hair' !
« He's actually balding ?! » Kaede noted.
« Ugh ! Gross ! » Miu panicked.
« Hey, my cite little cubs… Could you hurry up and give them the prize… ? » Monokuma asked a bit dizzy.
« FATHER… WE-ARE-NOT-YOUR-SLAVES. WE-WILL-NOT-LET-YOU-USE-US-ANYMORE. » Monodam told him.
« Huh… ? » Monokuma said in confusion.
« FROM-NOW-ON… I-WILL-BE-CALLING-THE-SHOTS. » Monodam explained.
« Hehe… Ok, this isn't funny now, stop it now, kids. » Monokuma sweated.
« Father… You're too old for this ! You have been doing this so long, you have become predictable ! » Monotaro continued.
« It's the age of the Monokubs now ! Out with the old, in with the new ! » Monophanie added.
« Yeah, retire somewhere and work on your tan ! » Monotaro pulled out a shuriken.
« D-do you really think you can defy your dad ?! Do you think I would forgive such- » Monokuma glared at them, pulling his claws.
Then the Exisals appeared out of the sudden !
« YOU-WERE-SAYING ? » Monodam said.
« Eeeeeek ! » Monokuma panicked, freezing in place.
« THANK-YOU, FATHER, BUT-THE-ACADEMY-IS-UNDER-OUR-HARMONIOUS-CONTROL-NOW. STEP-ASIDE, FATHER. » Monodam finished.
« N-noooo waaaayy ! » Monokuma began balding again.
« NOW-THEN, AS-THE-NEW-HEADMASTERS, WE-HAVE-FOR-YOU-BASTARDS… A-WONDERFUL-PRIZE ! » Monodam turned towards us.
« We're giving away a Golden Hammer, a Magic Key, and a Ninja Scroll as a prize bundle ! » Monophanie declared.
« I had a feeling it was more junk… » Keebo noted.
« Aw maaan… We didn't need more junk. We had way too much anyway. And its name is Keebo. » Kokichi grinned.
« Now you've gone too far ! Everyone, we can't allow this kind of intolerant language ! » Keebo glared at him.
« NO-FIGHTING. EVERYONE-HAS-TO-GET-ALONG. USE-THIS-PRIZE-TO-EXPLORE-THE-NEW-AREAS-TOGETHER. » Monodam told us.
« Also, we have hidden another Flashback Light somewhere, too. » Monophanie added.
They left afterwards, leaving Monokuma behind, who was standing still.
We all agreed to search the school and went on our way. Once again, I decided to go with Kaede. We arrived in front of the large door requiring the Magic Key, which I used to open the access to the fourth floor.
« W-what is this place… ? » Kaede asked nervously.
« You're not scared of the dark, are you Kaede ?~ » I teased her.
She hit my arm with her fist, causing me to wince and rub my arm. I guess I kinda deserved that.
« No I don't ! » She pouted, which made me chuckle.
« This is definitely the place Kiyo would have liked to be in ! Too bad he tried to kill someone ! » Kokichi went in with Himiko, still looking sad.
« … » She didn't say anything.
« Come on, Himiko ! Cheer up ! I'm here for you, little sis ! » He used his index to force a smile on her face.
« Stop… I am trying to be happy… » She got his fingers out of her mouth.
« Then smile already ! » Kokichi said.
« I'm trying… I know Tenko wants me to live, and I will… It's just so hard… » Himiko sighed.
« Hey, don't worry Himiko, we are here for you ! » Kaede kneeled down to get to her level.
« Yeah, I am here for you ! » He gave her a thumbs up.
« Thanks… We might wanna look around and see what we find… » She said, walking forward.
We went right, and Kaede tried to open Kiyo's lab, but it was locked of course.
« Huh ? Whose lab is it ? » She wondered out loud.
« It has to be Kiyo's. The aesthetic fits him. » I told her.
« Well, moving on then ! » Kokichi said.
We continued down the hallway until we reached Angie's lab, which opened as we approached it !
« Yahaaah ! Can I help you ? » Angie came out as she noticed us.
« Can we enter ? This is your Research Lab, right ? » I asked her.
« Of course ! Come in, come in, come in ! » She gestured us to join her.
The Monokubs came in, explained Angie needed her privacy for her art…
And Monodam ate the key again before Monophanie and Monotaro left carrying him.
« So does that mean we can't get the key ? What the hell… ? » Kokichi asked.
« It's fine, I will only lock this door when I will work, so I don't care if I can't open or close the door from the outside. » Angie explained.
« I guess that's fine then… » Himiko said.
We began to talk about the school… And then…
« If our lives here become more enriched, then there's even less reason to leave this place. » Angie noted.
« I don't want to stay here ! We're supposed to leave this place together ! » Kaede exclaimed.
« Oh please Kaede, that's not gonna happen. Four people died already, all because they wanted to escape ! Maybe Angie is right… We should stay here ! » Kokichi suggested.
Wait, what ?! Kokichi thinks that ? Is he going to join the Student Council this time ? Maybe Team Danganronpa did that in order to not have only two members ?
I shook away those thoughts as I had found a Monocoin in Angie's Lab so I took it before arriving in one of the empty rooms. I found two more Monocoins there !
« I really don't like this place… » Kaede said, looking around.
« M-me neither… » Himiko began to shiver.
« Hey, what's wrong, Himiko ? » Kokichi asked in worry.
« I-I need to go ! » She ran away.
« Jeez, what's wrong with her ? » Kokichi frowned.
I knew exactly what was wrong with her… But I couldn't say it…
« I think we should just go… » Kaede said.
We agreed, and Kokichi left us to do his own things.
We left the fourth floor, then went out to the courtyard, where the plants are fewer and fewer. We arrived in front of the Ninja Statue, where I used the Scroll to reveal Tenko' Lab… But I knew it would be useless-
« A new building ! Let's go, Shuichi ! » Kaede went there.
« Wait, Kaede ! » I went after her.
She tried to open the door, but of course, it was locked…
« Oh… Is it Tenko's… ? » She asked rhetorically.
« Yeah… I mean it's a dojo, it has to be hers… » I nodded sadly.
« Let's go… » She sighed.
We were going on our way, when we heard a certain conversation…
« C'mon, what's the big deal ? I can't hold back any longer… » Miu said to Keebo.
« N-no… It's too soon… I'm not ready for that… » Keebo looked down nervously.
Oh no… Not this again… Poor Keebo…
« I wonder what they are up to ? We should follow them ! » Kaede asked curiously.
« Wait, K-kaede- ! » She pulled my arm, forcing me to follow her !
She led me to Miu's lab, as Miu and Keebo went in.
« Let's see what they are doing ! » Kaede suggested.
« No, Kaede. We can't just spy on our friends ! » I tried to convince her to not see what I saw before…
« Come on, just a small peak… » She watched through the gap of the door.
I sighed internally, as I saw her eyes widen in shock, while hearing faintly Miu doing her maintenance on Keebo…
Kaede got up, not saying a word.
« She… She's just doing maintenance on him. Yeah, just maintenance… » She chuckled nervously.
« Let's just go… » I sighed, leading her away from the Ultimate Inventor's Lab.
We left the Courtyard and returned inside the Academy, when we saw Monokuma !
« A-aah ! » Kaede exclaimed in surprise.
« What do you want ? » I asked.
He didn't say a word as he gestured us to follow him.
« What should we do ? » Kaede asked me.
« He's not going to leave us alone if we don't follow him, so let's just do that. » I told her.
We followed Monokuma all the way to the fourth floor, where the pane of glass was, where I used the Golden Hammer, breaking the glass and allowing us to access the Computer Room.
« Wow, that's a big room ! And I wonder what this machine could do ? » Kaede looked around.
The Monokubs appeared and explained us about the computer room, before leaving. I have found a Monocoin in the room, so I took it before Kaede approached me to talk.
« A new world ? What were they talking about ? » Kaede asked me.
« I don't know, but- Hey, look over there ! » I pointed at the treasure chest.
« Oh ! There must be a Flashback Light in there ! » She went and opened the chest, taking the Flashback Light.
Kirumi then entered the Computer Room and saw us.
« Ah, you found a Flashback Light. That's good, I will gather everyone at the Dining Hall, see you soon ! » She told us before leaving.
« Well, we better get going. » I told Kaede.
We arrived in the Dining Hall, where everyone is waiting for us.
« Hey Shuichi ! You found a Flashback Light ? » Kokichi greeted us.
« Yeah, it's right here ! » Kaede replied for me as she showed everyone the mentionned object.
« We found it in the Computer Room on the fourth floor ? » I added.
« Computer Room, you say ? Go onnn… » Miu approached me when I mentionned it.
« There's a big computer in there. Would you take a look later with Keebo ? » I suggested her.
« Sorry, but I'm not good with computers. » Keebo apologized.
« Huh. That's actually a surprise. Then again, considering you're pretty boring, maybe not. » Kokichi teased him.
« Stop it ! That's robophobic and you know it ! » Keebo pointed angrily at him.
« Anyway, I will check it later. Now, do we really have to keep Maki here ? Are we really going to forget what her real Ultimate talent is ? » Miu glared at her.
« Hey ! Cut it out, would you ?! » Kaito snapped at Miu, causing her to shiver in fear.
Maki just sighed, looking down. Poor Maki…
« Anyway… Shall we use the Flashback Light or not ? » Kirumi asked.
« We should. I could finally figure out if someone cares about me. » Ryoma said.
« I thought you lost your will to live ? » Kokichi tilted his head in confusion.
« Not anymore. I will live, I will survive ! » Ryoma said determinedly.
I smiled at that. Finally the wheel of fortune turns in our favor…
« We should use it… We could find what the Ultimate Hunt is supposed to be… » Himiko added.
« I agree. We must use it. » Rantaro nodded.
« We shouldn't, actually. » Angie said out of the sudden.
« Huh ?! Why ?! » Miu snapped.
« Because we will want to get out of here, and a murder will happen again. I propose we do not use it ! » She explained.
« You know… She has a point. We have everything here, why should we get out of here, we have everything we need here ! » Kokichi said.
« As much as I hate to admit it, Kokichi is right. We should not use the Flashback Light ! » Keebo added.
Damn it… Angie's Student Council is slowly but surely growing…
« We have to ! This is our best chance to learn more of our lost memories ! » Kaede exclaimed.
« I agree with Kaede ! We can't run away from this ! » Kaito added.
« I do not wish to influence the vote, but I also believe we must use the Flashback Light, as it is our only way to progress. » Kirumi said.
« Ok, it looks like the majority wants to use the Flashback Light. Shuichi, go for it. » Rantaro told me.
I nodded, and used it, while noticing Angie's pout.
I went through that same process again, with the funeral scene playing out again.
I winced, and opened my eyes.
« W-why was I at my own funeral ?! » Kaede exclaimed in horror.
« Y-you too, Kaede ?! » I pretended to be surprised.
« So once again, we all remember the same memory… » Kirumi noted.
« But what the fuck does it mean ?! » Miu asked.
« I do not know… The only thing I can remember is the funeral and nothing else… » Keebo added.
« Relax guys, I'm sure it must have been a school festival or something. I mean, isn't it obvious if you just think about it ? If that funeral was real, there's no way we would still be alive ! » Kaito exclaimed.
« You're right… If we think about it logically, that's clearly out of the question. » Keebo nodded.
« Aw maaan, what a disappointment… And here I thought we would have learned something new from this Flashback Light. » Kokichi pouted.
« In that case, we should eat our meals, or they will be cold. » Kirumi warned us.
Agreeing with her, we ate our meals and returned to our rooms. I was sitting on my bed, thinking of everything that happened so far…
Angie's Student Council appears to be forming sooner… And Kokichi appears to be interested in joining it… Or is he lying again ?
I need to get out of my room and talk to my friends, that will make me feel better. I went to the MonoMono Machine with my six coins, and used five of them, leaving only one coin remaining. I got a Sewing Kit, High-End Headphones, Workout Clothes, a Cosmic Blanket, and a Wearable Blanket, coming with my Bunny Apples and Illusion Rod. Now, who should I talk to first…
'Himiko…' I instantly thought.
I began to look for her, and found her in her Research Lab.
« Hey Himiko… Can I come in… ? » I asked her, as the door was slightly open.
She turned around, and nodded silently.
« How are you feeling ? » I sat next to her.
« Good. Well, trying to… » She said sadly.
« I'm sorry it turned out this way… This should never have happened. » I placed my hand on her shoulder.
« Why… ? Why ?! Why can't we save our friends ?! We had a chance to save them all, and we wasted it ! » She cried.
I pulled her into a hug, which she accepted.
« Himiko… Please take this. » I gave her the Illusion Rod.
She took it and stared at it…
« Nyeh… I was looking for this item again. Thank you so much… » She gave me a weak smile.
« I hope it makes you feel better. » I told her.
« It does… What do you want to talk about ? » Himiko asked.
« Well, I wished Maki was here, but she needs time to recover after Kokichi expected her secret like that, so I will tell her what I am about to tell you… I am worried about Angie still forming the Student Council… Especially with Kokichi wanting to join… » I told her.
« But isn't that one of his lies again ? » She raised an eyebrow.
« It could be, but the possibility of it being the truth worries me. » I replied.
She took a moment to think, then stared at me confidently.
« I will join it. » She said bluntly.
« W-what ?! » I exclaimed, eyes wide.
« As a spy, dummy. I will see what she's up to… And maybe convince her to stop. » She rolled her eyes.
« Are you sure about this, Himiko ? » I asked her.
« I have to. I failed to save Tenko, I won't lose Angie ! I won't allow it ! » She exclaimed, her eyes full of determination.
« I guess I won't be able to change your mind ? » I chuckled.
« No, you won't ! » She smiled.
« Alright then, it was fun Himiko, but it's getting late. Don't forget to come to Kaito's training ! » I told her.
« See ya soon Shuichi ! I haven't forgotten ! » She replied.
Sure enough, Monodam appeared in the nighttime announcement with Monophanie and Monotaro beaten up. I ignored their antics, and changed in sports clothing.
Switches to Maki's POV
We were doing another push-up session with Kaito, and like last time, Shuichi, Kaede and Himiko joined us.
After what Kokichi pulled in the class trial, I needed to unwind from the change of look the others were giving me, I needed that, especially after Shuichi told me of Himiko's plan.
I didn't want another murder… We were supposed to save everyone…
I broke out of my thoughts as I noticed everyone was staring at me in shock at the speed I was having doing push-ups.
« What ? As the Ultimate Assassin, I gotta stay in shape. » I rolled my eyes playfully.
« I guess that's true. » Shuichi chuckled.
Once we were finished, I went back to my room and slept.
End of Day 10
Beginning of Day 11
Switches to Shuichi's POV
I got up and heard the announcement to go to the gym, so I did so. I saw Monokuma again, suggesting I should go peek on the girls at the pool like last time. And like last time, I refused. I hurried to the gym, and everyone was here. Miu talked about the computer and Kokichi kept teasing Maki, until the Monokubs arrived.
« C'monnn, what is it ? Why did you call us out all of a sudden ?! » Monotaro asked.
« We're the ones who called them out ! Did you forget that, too ? » Monophanie replied.
« LET'S-WORRY-ABOUT-MONOTARO… LATER, AND-PRESENT-THE-MOTIVE-NOW. » Monodam said.
« So it is a motive after all. » Kirumi noted.
« Nyahaha ! It doesn't matter what the motive is, we will not do the killing game anymore ! » Angie said.
« That's right ! We have Atua on our side ! » Keebo added.
« But it's no ordinary motive. This motive will inspire fear like never before. » Monophanie said.
« We will present it together ! This time, the motive is a transfer student ! Yep ! A new student is transferring ! And not just any transfer student… » Monotaro added.
« You get to resurrect one of the four people who have died so far, and welcome them back to the academy as a transfer student ! » Monophanie finished.
« A transfer student… ? » Kaede said.
« We can… resurrect someone ? » Kaito added.
« The instructions for the resurrection ritual are written in the Necronomicon. By performing the ritual as written, you can resurrect one deceased victim. » Monotaro explained.
« But only one of the four who have died so far can become the transfer student. Whoever you choose, that person will be considered part of the killing game semester. » Monophanie continued.
« So technically, you can kill 'em again as soon as they're resurrected. Y'know… if you wanted to use it like that. » Monotaro finished.
After a bit, the Monokubs left.
« T-transfer student… ? R-resurrecting the dead… ? » Keebo repeated worryingly.
« D-don't say such a stupid thing ! There's no way resurrecting the dead is possible ! I-It just can't happen… » Kaito exclaimed in panic.
I chuckled internally at that.
« I agree, this is just the Kubs' way to mess with us and resume the killing game. » Rantaro nodded.
« Hmm, you think so ? I don't think it's strange for the dead to come back to life. » Angie took a step forward.
« Hah-hahaha ! The kooky bitch is finally talkin' ! But too bad ! No one's interested in your bullshit cult ! » Miu laughed.
« No… wait, let's hear what Angie has to say. » Keebo interrupted her.
« Thanks ! Okay, I'm gonna say it ! Cuz… that's what Atua desires… » She said.
She explained her whole plan, and explained who joined the student council.
Keebo like last time, Himiko as the spy, and even Kokichi…
« Can you truly prevent the killing game from happening… ? » Ryoma asked.
« Of course ! You should join us, Ryoma ! Atua forgives even those who have committed wrongdoings, as he believes in redemption ! » She cheered for him.
He thought about it for a second…
« Alright, I'm in. » He went next to her.
Damn it… Why can't I stop any of this ?!
« Come on guys ! This is our best chance to live together in peace ! » Kokichi tried to convince us.
« While I do want us to be friends, I don't want to stay here ! We must get out of here ! » Kaede exclaimed.
« I agree with her, you're clearly using them for your own gain, Angie. » He glared at her.
« That's not very nice, Rantaro… Plus I do think Kokichi was right in you being the mastermind. » She glared back.
« I'm not even going to argue with you. » He sighed.
« What about you, Kirumi ? » Keebo asked.
« While I do want us to not kill each other, I do not wish to remain here forever, therefore, I will abstain from picking a side. » She replied.
I stared at Kaito, as he felt uneasy.
Maki was staring at him too…
Since we were tired of arguing, we went our separate ways.
As for myself, I thought of who I should go talk to…
'Maybe I will go see Kirumi again…' I thought.
I found her in the Dining Hall, as she sighed.
« Kirumi ? Is something wrong ? » I asked her.
« My apologies… It was rude to sigh in front of you… » She apologized.
« It's ok, don't worry. What's wrong ? » I told her.
« Well, since a part of my memory is lost, I cannot remember clearly… But I believe whoever I was employed to must have realized my disappearance by now, and must be worried. » She explained.
« I understand that. If I may ask, who is your employer ? » I asked her.
« Well, I can't go into much details, but he was an author who was struggling to write his novels. I was helping him, and he managed to publish one novel per month. » She continued.
« That's impressive ! » I exclaimed.
« Indeed, and before him, I helped a foreign country who resolved everything with Mahjong. I taught him and he became the prime minister. » She nodded.
« As expected from the Ultimate Maid. » I smiled at her.
« Thank you, I believe you have talent as well, Shuichi. Maybe if I serve you, you could succeed even more ? » She asked rhetorically.
« Who knows ? » I chuckled.
« Oh, but I mean it. Your determination to help us urges me to support you even more. » She replied.
« Well, I appreciate it, Kirumi, thank you. Please take this as thanks. » I gave her the Sewing Kit.
« By all means, I accept this. » She smiled at it as she took it.
« By the way, what is your opinion with Angie's Student Council ? » I asked her.
Her mood changed as she sighed.
« I understand Angie's motivation to help us by attempting to prevent another murder. But enforcing it will please no one, and forcing us to stay won't either. But, like I said earlier, I do not wish to take a side, as I am the Ultimate Maid, I cannot take one. » She replied.
« Kirumi… It's important for you to be able to tell your opinion without having your Ultimate get in the way. You have the right to express your thoughts on any matter. » I told her.
She looked at me in surprise.
« Is it an order, Shuichi ? » She tilted her head in confusion.
I stopped for a second, then had an idea !
« You know what ? Yes, I order you to tell your opinions and stand up for yourself ! » I told her.
« This is an unexpected request, but I have to oblige. Thank you for your time, Shuichi. If you have nothing else to ask, I will take my leave. » She got up from her chair.
« Yes, I'm good ! See you later ! » I told her.
She nodded, and left, leaving me alone.

« Hey Shuichi ! »
I jumped, gasping !
« K-kaede ?! You scared me, getting that close ! » I exclaimed.
« Oops, sorry ! I just got super excited ! » She chuckled.
« About what ? » I asked.
« Let's play a piano duet together ! » She proposed.
« Oh ! Isn't that two persons playing piano at the same time ? » I thought out loud.
« Yup ! Wanna play with me ? » She asked.
« Sure thing ! Let's go to your Ultimate Lab ! » I nodded.
She smiled, as she led me there.
« Okay, let's begin. Please sit down, Shuichi. » She pointed at the chair.
I did so, as she went next to me. She explained me how to place my fingers properly.
Then she placed her hands on top of mine, causing me to freeze and blush.
« A-ah ! S-sorry about that ! » She blushed as well.
« I-It's fine, let's continue… » I told her.
She nodded, but both of us were blushing messes.
Regardless, I did what she told me to do, and I did pretty well overall.
« Yeah ! You're pretty good, Shuichi ! Next time you're gonna try a basic song ! » She smiled at me.
« Thanks ! I… I guess you won't hold my hands next time ? » I asked, blushing again.
« W-well, no, s-since you will play it while I watch you. » She blushed again as well.
« W-well, please take this, Kaede. » I gave her the High-End Headphones.
« You really know what makes me smile, Shuichi. But I guess you would know what I like ! » She winked at me, making me blush again.
« Well, it's getting late, see ya tomorrow, Kaede ! » I told her.
« Bye ! » She waved as I left.
I went back to my room as the nighttime announcement played.
I thought of what happened with Kaede...
Her touch on my hands…
God, I love her so much…
I'm so glad I had this chance to save her…
And I won't let her die !
I broke out of my thoughts as I heard my doorbell ring !
I opened my door, and Maki appeared in front of me.
Wait… I remember now…
« Kaito is still not feeling well, huh ? » I asked her.
« Yeah… Can we train together, just the two of us ? » She asked back.
« Wait, what about Kaede and Himiko ? » I said.
« Please… I need to talk to you in private… » She begged.
I was surprised by her tone, but I nodded.
We went outside, and began our push-ups.

I knew what she was talking about… I didn't want Kaito to die again… But I didn't know how to answer…

Switches to Himiko's POV
I woke up and went to the Dining Hall, where everyone was waiting, and another argument was taking place.
« Quit messing around ! Don't just do whatever you want ! » Kaito exclaimed.
« But I have Atua's blessing ! » Angie replied.
« This is going too far ! » Rantaro added.
« As we have said before, this is all to end the killing game and keep the peace ! » Keebo exclaimed.
« Yeah, and your constant arguing disturbs the peace ! » Kokichi smirked.
« What's going on here ? » Shuichi asked.
« They blocked the manhole that leads to the underground ! » Kaito answered to him.
« We had to move heavy rocks to block it, though I could have used my magic to make it disappear. » I said, trying to blend in.
« But why ?! » Kaede asked.
« Because it's a reminder of our desire to leave this place ! We had to get rid of it ! » Angie exclaimed.
« Without asking our opinion first ? » Maki accused her.
« If we had, we wouldn't have reached a common conclusion ! Angie can hear Atua, so she's definitely right ! » Kokichi replied.

I turned around to see Miu approaching me.

I couldn't think much of it, as the nighttime announcement was declared.
I gotta go see Maki, and Kaito, too…
I went to his door, and like last time, he opened it first, with Maki alongside him.
« Hey bro… Perfect timing… » He said, coughing.
« Kaito, you're sick, aren't you ? » I noted.
« Yeah… I haven't been able to eat or sleep much since yesterday… » He nodded.
« Why you didn't tell us ? » I asked him.

Then, out of the sudden, Maki held Kaito's hands !

« Yeah… you're right… I'm sorry for hiding it to you both… That's why I can't die here ! I have to leave this place and go into space ! » He exclaimed, while coughing a little.
« We will all get out, Kaito ! I promise you ! Can you just… tell everyone about your disease ? » I asked him.
« Yeah… I will tell everyone tomorrow morning, I promise ya. » He nodded, as he went to his room.
« Now… What do we do ? We're supposed to go train and try to convince Angie to stop, but would it work this time ? » Maki asked me.
« I don't think it's worth trying. I- » I was interrupted by the sound of footsteps.
It was Ryoma.
« Don't worry, if you wanna know, I'm actually spying on the Student Council. Himiko is helping me on the matter. » He told us.
I let out a sigh of relief.
« Did you discover anything ? » Maki asked him.
« Yeah, Angie made wax effigies of Gonta, Tsumugi, Kiyo and Tenko, apparently it will help us in the ritual. We're trying to figure out how to stop her, so leave it to us. » He replied.
« Alright, thanks Ryoma ! See you tomorrow ! » We went back to our rooms and fell asleep.

I woke up and went to the door as the doorbell rang. And not only Maki and Kaito were here, but so were Kaede and Rantaro !
« Huh ? What are you guys doing here ? » I asked the latter two.
« We're here to stop Angie ! » Kaede exclaimed.
« Yeah, we can't let her do the ritual. » Rantaro nodded.
« If Angie still refuses to stop, we got to use force, so the more we are, the better it will. » Maki added.
« Yeah, let's just get this over with. » Kaito coughed a little.
« Kaito… Did you tell them ? » I asked, narrowing my eyes.
« Yeah, I did. I will tell the others after this. » He nodded.
« You know… I realized you don't like talking about ghots and stuff… You're scared of ghosts ? » Maki suggested, smirking.
« D-don't be stupid ! Th-There's no way ! » Kaito exclaimed.
« Yep, he's totally scared of ghosts. » Rantaro chuckled, followed by Kaede.
« Urgh, can we just go and stop Angie please ? » Kaito sighed in frustration.
We agreed, and went to Angie's Research Lab, but…

Then Kokichi appeared !

And when I pushed the door…
I saw the bodies of Himiko Yumeno, the Ultimate Mage, and Angie Yonaga, the Ultimate Artist, the latter having a knife stuck deep in her chest.

« H-Himiko ! » Kokichi exclaimed as we got closer to her.
I held her in my arms, as we were focused on her instead of the Body Discovery Announcement.
She didn't have any visible wounds…

We let out a sigh of relief.
Then her eyes stared at Angie…

Everyone arrived at the crime scene…
