Holy shit! That's a lot of people... What are y'all doing here? This is my first ever fanfiction, it won't even be that good, I'm still a newbie writer!

Oh, fuck, now I'm stressed ;-;

Uhh...well, if any of you has any criticism, good or bad then let me know, please. And if I messed up somewhere or made something unclear or confusing then also let me know, and I'll edit it and try to fix it.

"The tribe is getting antsy, we are getting low on Dust and ammunition, not to mention on food. There is only so much to hunt in the forest before the wildlife learns to avoid this area." Raven began as she unceremoniously entered my tent. "They want to know when the next raid will happen." I saw her eyeing the orange and red bush in a pot on the table.

It was a "Firebloom" a plant that grows instantly once its seed is placed inside earth.

It's something I looted from the Pixel Dungeon, the seed I mean.

I still had 3 more Firebloom seeds, 2 Icecap seeds, and 1 sungrass seed.

Icecap is a plant that freezes stuff, and sungrass can heal people. Now I just need to figure out how to start potion-making with these herbs... Thoughts for later, let's focus on what Raven said.

So people are getting hungry for action, huh? Tough shit, they aren't getting any, not through raiding at least.

"There will be no more raids, not on innocent villages and other settlements. From now on, we'll become a mercenary group." I said and very gently ripped off a leaf from the firebloom. "Preferably we will accept work that will not put us in a negative light." I extended the hand that held the leaf toward Raven and presented it to her.

She gave me a confused look but reached for the leaf nonetheless.

"It's your right to decide how we will operate, and while many will agree easily to your order...there will also be a group that will not like it-ARGH" Raven retracted her hand and let out a pained scream.

When she tried to take the leaf from me she squeezed it too tight causing it to ignite and burn her palm.

A snicker left my mouth, and if her face is anything to go by, she most definitely wants to stab me right now.

"Don't be a crybaby, your Aura will heal it." I said and rolled my eyes at her. "How is your progress in Aura strike going?"

"Im making progress. Part of my Aura explodes inside my arm, but most of it explodes out my fist." Well, well, well... so Aura can be used offensively after all.

That makes me wonder...Can other Murim techniques be replicated with Aura? In Murim they use KI which is basically the life force of an individual, and Aura is "the extension of the soul" something that doesn't necessarily connect with life force.

When I picked the Spirit option as one of my elements it allowed me to use Chi, which is just another word for KI. But why would the "spirit" option give me powers over my life force and not powers over my soul?

This may be a long shot, but I think that my previous theory about the soul and life force being the same thing may be true.

Either that or they are two things that are connected to each other and cannot exist without the other. Like Ying and Yang.

Or maybe I'm wrong entirely, that's an option too.

Meh, who cares? Aura can be used to do Murim bullshit, and that gives me a lot of ideas.

A lot of ideas...

It will require testing, but I'm sure I can make at least make some of them work.

[Quest: Martial Arts.]

[Description: You learned that Aura can be used as a substitute for Inner energy/KI! Now, how can you possibly push such a discovery to the back of your head without trying to recreate some of the martial arts that you saw in all the manhwas you have read? Time to introduce Remnant to the power of Murim baby!]

[Objective: Recreate 1 martial art technique/skill from any Murim manhwa you once read.]

[Time limit: 7 Days]

[Bonus Objective: Recreate more than 1 martial art/skill from any Murim manhwa you once read.]

[Reward: A random elixir]

[Bonus reward: ?]

[Penalty: The {spirit} element gets locked for 1 month.]

Well, guess the game is on board with my idea.

"I'm glad you're making progress." I told Raven and was about to comment on how I can teach her more if she'd be a good girl, but I was interrupted by a scream coming outside my tent.

A child's scream.

So what did I do? Well, I went and checked what was happening. Obviously.

Walking out of my tent, with Raven following me, I quickly located the source of the noise. It wasn't hard, it was literally in front of me.

A man, skinny but still somewhat muscular was dragging a boy (around 14 years old maybe?) to...the forest? Oh...oh no.

"Tell me that this is not what I think it is." I told Raven as my mind immediately jumped to the worst scenario I could think of at the moment.

"I don't know what you are thinking, but that is..." She paused, trying to remember the name of the guy. "Jade? He likes kids." For what it's worth, she sounded genuinely disgusted.

I also didn't fail to notice her grip tightening around the handle of her swords.

"Want me to deal with him?" Her eyes were focused on that Jade character as she said that like a predator eyeing its prey.

She doesn't like pedophiles, good to know.

Guess even she has standards.

"Bring him to me." I wanted to test one of my skills, and Jade seemed like a good candidate "Be as rough as you want to be, but he must be alive."

Raven moved immediately. She quickly walked up to the guy, and before he could ask what she wanted, the arm he used to hold the boy was cut off. Funnily enough, He realized it only after she grabbed him by the throat and started dragging him to me if the screams were anything to go by.

He was unceremoniously dropped before my feet, gripping his bleeding shoulder where his arm was cut off, and whimpering as he tried to force his screams down when he realized I was looming over him.

"Jade, right?" I began with a friendly smile.

"Y-Yes." He managed to choke out through a mix between a groan and a whimper.

"With a name like that, your Aura must be a brilliant green in color, right?" Jade trembled slightly as I knelt beside him.

"D-Dunno chief, I never got it unlocked."

"Really?" My palm began to glow red. "Well, I'm curious, so how about we find out?" With that said I slammed my [Dark Hand] into his chest, making it sink right to my elbow. And then...I Pulled.

Jade looked like he wanted to scream, but nothing came out of his mouth, he just spasmed on the ground and tried to claw at the limb that entered his chest.

Light green energy began to pour out around my arm, the majority of his soul slipping through my fingers and dissipating in the air once it came to contact with the physical world. But I did manage to grab some of it.

Once my hand emerged I had a small pinky-sized green flame dancing on my palm, and Jade was laying dead on the ground.

"Well, would you look at that...his soul was green after all." I said with a chuckle. My hand tightens into a fist around the soul fragment with the [Soul Absorbtion] skill activated.

[You gained 1 stat to DEF]

It's random? Meh, better than nothing.

Noticing how quiet it got, I looked around and saw that everyone is staring at me. But this time, unlike when I beat Raven and killed that one guy that challenged me for my position as chief of the tribe...this was different. The previous two times people looked at me with a neutral gaze, some of them with a bit of respect even.

But now? Now I can see fear in their eyes.

Killing someone is somewhat common here, nobody reacted like that when I decapitated my previous challenger with his own axe. What else would you expect from a tribe of bandits and raiders? They kill for fun or when on a pillage, they are desensitized to someone's death.

But seeing me rip someone's soul out is apparently horrifying enough to make these bandits and outlaws to be scared of me. Genuinely scared.

"I believe this serves as a great example about my opinion on Rape. Doesn't it?" They swallowed, they avoided eye contact, and some of them scratched their head... But they all nodded and mumbled something like "Yes boss".

Good. Fear will keep them in check.

...

God damn it, I sound like a villain...

"Raven." She flinched. "Be a dear and go fly to some settlements nearby, and see if there is any work we can do." Bird momma tensed, and took a step back with her eyes widening. "I'll reward you handsomely for your trouble, my little bird." I could see her preparing to run, but I was faster.

My [Dark Hand] skill activated once again, and I lunged at her. My invincibility against her recognized the act as an attack, making my body move faster than she could react.

God damn, this is so busted! If only I had this ability against all other people in the world...

"Wha-!" The panic in her voice was clear, and dare I say I could also hear...fear? Her panicked cry for me to stop was cut off however as she groaned loudly when I penetrated her insides...heh...sorry, I had to.

Fear.

Raven Branwen was looking down at her torso in pure fear.

"Don't worry lil' bird." My free hand cupped her cheek, bringing her attention to my face rather than the hand that entered her torso. "Stay still and you'll be fine~"

I squished, wriggled my fingers, twisted my wrist, and took my hand out. Nothing happened to her since I wasn't holding her soul when taking out my hand, but she doesn't know that.

"A little countermeasure... If you run away or betray me..." Doing my best to channel my inner cliche evil character, I continued while purposely trying to sound cold and emotionless. "Your soul will go BOOM. Got it?" It took all my willpower to not burst out laughing when I saw her believe the utter bullshit I just told her.

But I proved numerous times that I have multiple supernatural powers. Lightning Manipulation, a Hammerspace, Teleportation through doors, and now...soul extraction.

Who could be sure that planting a bomb in someone's soul is something I can't do? Would anybody dare to take the risk and try to disobey my order?

Judging by Raven's expression, it wouldn't be her.

"Don't keep us waiting. You said it yourself, didn't you? The tribe is getting antsy." She stood there and gawked at me. "Well? Shoo!" That did it. It snapped her back from her petrified state and immediately transformed into a raven without carrying about anybody around us seeing it.

And just like that, she was gone.

...

Right. What now?

"Meh, might start thinking about what Murim bullshit I can re-create with my current skills." Thank God I read a lot of Manhwa before reincarnating. With the number of memories I have about them, finding something I can re-create should be easy...right?
