Fox laid in his bed, trying to process what his father told him. Well that's if that guy was actually his real dad or not. Fox had his doubts. Especially considering the way he acted. "A lack of empathy is needed?! This feels a bit fishy." He thought.

"I assure you my son, Krystal is not to be trusted. She is a fraud! A fake! An imposter! You should have realized that by now. I showed you those images, that should be proof enough."

"Making me hallucinate disturbing thoughts is not showing me proof. What if your the fraud? What if your just all in my head huh?"

"How dare you! I helped you defeat Andross in the Lylat Wars and this is how you repay me?! How would your mother respond to such disobedience?!"

"James McCloud, my father was a pacifist. He would never take a life! Let alone order someone to do his bidding!"

"You are wrong. Yes, I was mainly a pacifist but look at where that got me. Betrayed by the person I trusted very dearly. Pacifism can only get you so far especially in war. There are imposters among us. Your ex is one of them. You need to be more aware of your surroundings and less trusting of people. I sacrificed so much for you, I don't want you to end up with the same fate as I did."

"Leave me alone" said Fox as he pulled the covers over his head.

"I'm doing this because I care"

"I said leave me alone!" Shouted Fox

A couple knocks were heard and James disappeared. "Everything all right Fox?"

"Yeah I'm fine Peppy"

"Well if you need anything just don't hesitate to let me know."

"Will do Peppy"

The vulpine got out of bed, yanking the covers off and opened the door after he heard Peppy start to leave. He stared at the bathroom at the fur trimmers resting at the sink. "Not today my friend." He then proceeded to put on a hoodie.

"Fox"

"I'll be fine Peppy all I'm doing is heading out to grab some things. I'll be back I promise." Fox smiled softly as he walked out the door grabbing his bike.

While Fox was riding, James McCloud appeared to him. "Fox, I see you have finally decided to heed my advice. Now you must go to the hardware store and get some items. I have it all jotted down on a list." James McCloud gave Fox the piece of paper.

"Fuck off"

"I'm only trying to help"

"I'm not in the mood"

"Fox! Listen to me god dammit! The world is in danger!"

"What are you going to do? Show me some random images?" Scoffed Fox.

An immense pain formed in Fox's head, he clutched his temple as he screamed.

"Hey...Hey! Hey! Dude...wake up!" Fox groaned as he felt tapping on his face. "Wha? Where am I?" Asked the vulpine.

"You crashed your bike. Took a great fall too...right into that lamp post. You were knocked out for a bit."

Fox's vision started to become clearer. "Who are you?" He asked.

"I'm Fara, Fara Phoenix." She said, offering her hand.

"Thank you" Fox said as he grabbed it and she lifted him up.

"I'm Fox...Fox McCloud."
