A/N: I decided to post the start of the sequel to a oneshot grown from a Barks, both the Barks entry and the longer short are old and I planned to write a second part. Life happened and years after it's not finished. Here, have a glimpse at how it was supposed to start. I may still write it one day, if life allows

Tessaiga Fails. Again

"This one isn't amused."

"So isn't this one. Are you mocking this one with a childish imitation of this one's regal mannerisms? It's quite pathetic to be honest."

"This one is not concerned with your insignificant opinions, older brother. We all are well aware that the only reason you act this way is not because it's the desire of your heart to be a truly honorable lord, but because you are too prideful and arrogant to interact with others in a balanced, well-mannered way."

"Says the half-breed who used swear words as commas the other day."

Kagome looked between the two white-haired brothers glaring at each other, then she sighed. One thing was for sure - their lives were never going to be the same after this.

.

The previous night had ended well. Inuyasha had returned to his senses with Tessaiga in his hand. They settled down in nice rooms - Kirara Sango and Kagome got one room while Miroku and Shhippou goot another. Inuyasha had been planning to spend the night with the other men of his pack, but he got annoyed at Miroku's teasing and had decided to take the maids up on their offers and had gone to bed in the master bedroom.

The next morning Inuyasha was back to his full youkai self, blood red eyes and all, his lordly manner as out of character as the day before.

And now they all sat in the lavish tea room of the manor, the humans uncomfortable in the tense and thick atmosphere that seemed to get tenser by a second while Inuyasha and his elder brother glared at each other over the expensive tea set.

All Kagome could think of was wondering how they were going to survive this afternoon.
