-Chapter 3-'Unstoppable'-
After they arrived at the house, Demyx stepped out yawning. 'I really don't want to fall asleep during the movie... Maybe I can get something to drink.' The two of them were inside and ready to see a scary movie. Whatever he was thinking, something slipped out of his mouth. Maybe he was too busy being sleepy, but still asked, "Xiggy, do you have any beer? I'm kinda sleepy..."
Xigbar was already lying on the sofa upside down (with his shoes off). "Um, yeah, I think there are a couple of bottles in the bottom of the refrigerator. The bottle opener's in the drawer on the left when you turn around." Now he knew better than to let him drink illegally, but hey! What's wrong with letting him drink, if three pounds of candy can't get him hyper? (Just Kidding; Don't Drink! :P )
Demyx got a bottle from the bottom or the refrigerator and the can opener from a glossy, oak drawer. He sat on the floor behind the counter, so the other couldn't see him. It probably would be a tad bit embarrassing to try your first alcoholic drink in front of someone you like. The cap was flicked off and shot into the air. He caught it in his hand before it went into view over the counter. Placed on the floor next to him were the metal cap and the bottle opener. 'Okay, I don't know if I'm gonna like this... But, here goes nothing...' The seventeen year old took about four sips and decided it would have to do. He got up and walked around towards the sofa. "Did you find it yet?"
"Noo..." He continued to search through a very long list of all types of movies. "Oh, found it."
"Good." He plopped down onto the sofa with his bottle still in hand. He sat Indian style on the sofa and continued to sip on his beer.
The lights grew dim and were eventually cut off. On the other side of the couch, a body was turned right side up. The same person turned the volume up and laid his head in Demyx's lap.
The movie played with the sounds of crashes and explosions blasting from the speakers on either side of the enormous television.
By the time the movie was over, the two of them had shifted to where Xigbar was stretched across the whole sofa, and Demyx was lying on top. Maybe the two bottles of beer didn't help him at all. He was sleeping, but Xigbar didn't want to wake him up. Surely, Demyx didn't want to be woken up anyway. The blonde-haired boy's back was arched down, and Xigbar had his hands all over him. He was beginning to doze off himself, but Demyx's phone rang in his back pocket. Xigbar reached deep into Demyx's pocket, chuckled, and took it out. He answered it with, "Yeah?"
"Hey. What happened to you guys earlier?"
"I don't know! MYOB! I guess something just clicked between us."
"Well, what's Demyx doing?"
"Sleeping on me. We're on the sofa. I'm getting ready to go, too, so bye."
"If he wakes up in the morning freaking out, tell him that I said it was okay to spend the night."
"Okay, bye..." He hung up the phone before he could hear any more of Saix's mouth. He put the phone in its rightful place, and held on tightly to the one on top of him. Lightly, he whispered, "I love you..." in Demyx's ear. Xigbar felt his Angel's sweet smile on his chest and drifted off to sleep, smiling as well.
-The Next Morning-
Demyx's POV
I woke up to silence and a soft sunlight in my eyes. There wasn't a single light on in the house, as far as I could see. I recognized the smell of sweet coffee coming from the kitchen. I must've been knocked out hard not to notice that Xigbar had moved from under me, let alone the fact that a cover had been laid over my body. Right after I fell asleep, or maybe it was before, that I felt someone touching me. Although it made me feel like a hooker or whatever, it felt kind of nice… It felt a little strange to just crash in someone else's house without asking, too. I don't think he minded, though- Oh, man! I'm in so much trouble! I hope Saix isn't still angry with me… As bad my luck was, my phone went dead. Of course it had, because I left it on while I was busy talking to Xigbar and drinking all night to remember! I finally got my lazy ass off of the sofa and stretched; I thought I was prematurely aging. My dad doesn't think so, though. I called Xigbar's name tiredly as I walked behind the sofa and curiously peered around.
End of POV
"Are you awake Demy? I'm in my office." He finished typing a few words on some important document to pause.
He stood to visit him, but was pushed back down into his seat by two delicate hands. "Good morning, baby." he said quietly. The hands stayed on either side of his shoulders, then slowly, the hazy blonde ghosted them over Xigbar's button-down shirt. He stopped at his waist and gripped the waistline of his pants.
He turned his head to look up at him and ask, "Demyx, did those drinks mess you up last night? You were pretty out, too."
"Yeah…My head is fucking screwed." He shyly said, "I'm sorry I got here and just fell asleep on you. Should I call my dad?"
"It's fine… Well, last night your dad called your phone. He said it was okay to spend the night."
"Well the night's over… but I wanna stay with you." He started kissing on Xigbar's neck and jawbone. "I want to be with you…" Demyx he walked around to the front of the black leather roller chair and sat down on his partner's lap. He leaned in a little closer while pushing down on Xigbar's hips. A small crevice separated their faces. There was soon to be no
"You seriously want to be with me? Like date me?" Demyx simply nodded his head with a sweet smile. Xigbar did the same and said, "Want a kiss to make it official?"
Demyx's smirk grew wider, and he positioned himself more comfortably on Xigbar's lap. The older man placed a hand around the back the other's neck. They came together, closing their eyes. They kissed harder than they did last night, but this time it was slow… Xigbar put his hands on Demyx's waist, clutching his tight pants. 'I swear, every time I touch him I get so hard…' Xigbar stopped and took a deep breath that split his face to a wide grin. "You taste like alcohol."
"No, duh!" He said with a hint of a laugh and a smirk.
"Well, Demyx… I love you, but I'm afraid to say that I have to be at work in about a half an hour. You have to go home sometime…"
"But I want this to be my home!" he whined. Demyx wrapped his arms around Xigbar's neck and his face brightened to a cherry color.
He hugged back and tried to calm him with, "I know, I know…" Xigbar made a secret smile behind his back and pulled away holding onto his boyfriend's shoulders. "I'll look at my schedule at work and arrange for you to move in with me! You're school will be changed, they have job openings in the summer. You can go to Clayton State University; that's where I went. I'll even get started on it now- Actually, I think I should take you home, first."
"Well, okay. You seem pretty excited about this. I'm sorry I don't. Got a little headache, but I trust you, though. Even though we met last night, I feel like we've known each other for a few years." Demyx smiled and got off of the chair. He got all of his things together and they left.
-At Demyx's House-
Xigbar and Saix were talking about the plan and of course, Saix approved. No matter how much he loved his son, he'd always wanted him to move out. After everyone, excluding Xemnas, had a good talk, Xigbar prepared to leave. Demyx got his special goodbye hug and kiss; he wished that it were a regular thing. With the two of them living together, it might just come true. He went upstairs, still smiling as if a miracle had happened, and took a hot shower. 'Wow. I can't believe this is happening to me… I guess I better tighten up and finish packing.' By the end of the day, most of his things were packed, except the essentials, in cardboard boxes. It wasn't a very difficult task, considering that mostly everything was packed already. He left out clothes and pajamas for two more weeks, his toothbrush, combs, brushes, his Katii, and Lappi (his phone and laptop that he's also addicted to. c: ). All the while he thought about his boyfriend and his big life-decision he's making. He never thought it would happen this way. If it were any other way, Demyx thought He just might go crazy.
Xigbar's POV
Uh, 9:30... Then I need to call the company… then a withdraw form… Just then, my boss walked by and asked me what I was doing. I guess he'd noticed that what was on my desk wasn't my last client's paperwork. "It's nothing, Sir."
He must've been extremely pissed considering the fact that he had to use profanity around our co-workers. "Don't give me that bullshit. You know very well that I will not take that as an answer!"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lexaeus, Sir, but this is a little import-"
My unusually high-strung boss said, "What the hell is this?" He snatched the notebook paper from my hand and took a good look at it before I could react or say anything. He slammed it back on my unorganized desk. He poked my chest while saying, "I want my paperwork done by the time you leave here," he said sternly. "And clean this sh-stuff up… No overtime, period." He left my workspace and continued to yell at other slackers who were walking around.
Whew, I'm glad that's over. At least all the plans weren't ruined. After I finish this client's order, I'll be done. Should only take, a few minutes…
Two Minutes Later…
I finished the paperwork and cleared off my desk of everything except the three sheets of paper I'd managed to keep. The rest of my things were packed in my black book bag, otherwise know as my workbag. After I thought about it, I had to return the paperwork to Mr. Lexaeus before I got off!
After that task was completed, I got a little tired of the working atmosphere. The only place I like being after with Demyx is Starbucks. I was so glad to get away from that place…
End of POV
-In Starbucks-
The smell of coffee and apple fritters filled the roomy area. He sat at a small round table with his favorite coffee (3 Splendas, 3 half/halves, and 1/8 cup of French vanilla creamer added to black coffee). He sat and thought about which activities would be done in what order. It wasn't that strict of a schedule, but it would have to have been done on the kid's spring break. It was lucky for the both of them that Xigbar's week vacation was dated at the same time as Demyx's break was. His cell phone rang with the sound of September by Daughtry. He got a call from an anonymous number. Xigbar always answered calls unknown numbers, excluding restricted numbers. He figured it was Demyx, so he cleared his throat before saying anything. "Hello?", he spoke into his phone.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much. I'm at Starbucks, working on the thing, still. What are you up to?"
"Not really anything… I just thought about the other night and how we hadn't exchanged numbers. Haha."
"How the fuck-?" He quickly hushed himself before he went too far.
Demyx busted into a loud laughter and said, "No, no! I took Xemnas's phone and got your number."
"Oh, goodness. I bet you feel like talking again don't you?" He smiled and said, "You're just like your father. But that's one thing I like about him."
"I really don't want to think about him, let alone talk about him… I mean, you probably already know why." Of course, Xigbar knew almost everything there is to know about Demyx. He'd had the feeling that the other was a little scene. Xigbar had always known that he had a bad side to him, and he didn't want to show it out on Demyx. "Anyways…" Demyx chuckled and continued to babble as he always did. "Oh, this morning, did you say I was going to be changing schools? I only heard and comprehended half of the things that were said."
Xigbar hesitated but managed to quietly say, "I'm afraid so, kid."
"Really?"
Xigbar sighed and pointed out the fact that he lived in Clayton County.
"Wow, I must've been really sleepy last night." Everything started to piece together in Demyx's head. "And that's the reason you said that about my school? And that I should attend CSU?"
"Exactly. But you're okay with that, right?" He waited for an answer as he heard nothing but a little static from Demyx's phone. "Demy? You still there?"
"Y-yeah…" He sniffled and tried not to cry. Even though he tried his best not to let them, tears came rushing down his cheeks, which were stained red. Occasional moans slipped passed his soft, pink lips.
Now Xigbar had made himself feel bad for making his baby cry. "Demyx! Please, please don't cry… I understand that you don't want to leave your friends. Sometimes you have to think. Think about your future and how you're going to live. How you're gonna make it in this world. Learn that if you want something, you have to be willing to make sacrifices. You need to work to be someone; what you want to be. If you aim for nowhere, that's just where you'll go. Now I'm going to ask you this: Are you ready?"
"Y-yes. I am." His sniffling had ceased and a forced chuckle traveled all the way to Xigbar's end of the phone. "I think- I mean, I know it's time for me to grow up."
"That's my guy," was all he had to say to bring back the happiness to Demyx's heart.
"I love you, Xigbar."
"I love you, too, Demyx. I'll see you later, okay?"
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
Saix simply barged into Demyx's bare bedroom and firmly stated, "Now that you're making this decision, Demyx…" Saix stalked over to the low mattress and stood on one knee. He lightly placed a comforting hand on his thigh. He finished with, "It's unstoppable." Demyx remained frozen and stared into deep, cold, yellow eyes, speechless.
The only reason I cut this oh-so, very short is because of the name. I'm always so picky on what kind on title goes with what file/document(excluding images). So, the next chapter is called 'Piecing It Together'. You can probably already guess why, and if you haven't by the time you're done reading thisssss, you're slow… JK, but keep reading to find out!
