Summer and Sapphire were up before the dawn and were about to leave the cave when...
"Well, well, well. Our Queen's escapees." Tyrian said and giggled.
"I'd rather we didn't fight." Hazel said. "Just come back to Evernight Castle with us."
"No chance." Summer/Sapphire said as they readied their weapons.
Hazel sighed while Tyrian giggled again.
"Eyes on the enemy transport. Qrow, man the turret and take it down!" Clover said.
Qrow nodded then climbed to the turret and fired on the ship. Watts turned to them and began firing on them in retaliation.
"I'd say we have the pilot's attention!" Raven said as she headed to one of the doors.
"What are you doing?!" Clover asked.
"Like hell I'm gonna just sit in here while the woman I love is fighting for her life!" Raven snapped before kicking the door open and jumping into a bush. She then turned into a raven before flying ahead to Summer.
Summer was fighting Tyrian, who was growling. "Why defy our Mistress?! Surely you and the mighty wolf remember how futile it is, Summer Rose!"
"I'd rather die than be Salem's slave! Best to let her know that!" She said then kicked him backwards.
He growled and lunged at her...only to be blasted from the side. Summer saw Raven diving to her from the air and landing in front of her.
"...Raven?"
Instead of saying anything, Raven threw her arms around her mutated teammate, crying. Though overwhelmed, Summer hugged back.
"Use Peace of Mind on me... Please..." Raven pleaded.
She was referring to Summer's Semblance, which gave Summer the ability to calm people down.
Summer used her Semblance on Raven, who soon calmed down. Once she knew it worked, Summer stopped using her Semblance.
Tyrian screamed in anger then widened his eyes. "My, my, my. Raven Branwen. Her Grace will enjoy this news. But first..." He said then ran to the two women.
"Dual Swords!" Summer said then the two women ran to Tyrian, swords in hand. Both women took turns striking at Tyrian for a total of three times each until they both punched him in the face, sending him into a tree.
They both then turned to Hazel and the Ursa, both of whom were overwhelming their Faunus friend. "Guns and Blades!" Summer said then turned Shadow's Terror into a shotgun and fired repeatedly at the broad man, distracting him while Raven connected a Gravity Dust blade to Omen then charged forward, kicking Hazel in the chest before decapitating the Ursa.
"Summer, Raven, we need to move!" Sapphire said then used Fire and Ice Dust to cause a smokescreen then the three retreated.
Tyrian screamed again and went to chase them...but Hazel grabbed his tail.
"Unhand me, Hazel!" The Faunus said.
"They're too close to the Emerald Forest, as are we. On top of that, they killed the Ursa. We have to withdraw from the hunt." Hazel interjected.
"NO!" Tyrian growled as he still struggled though it was futile as the human's brute strength outweighed the strength of the Faunus.
Watts arrived in the ship. "Get in the bloody ship! Now!" He said then the two climbed inside. Once they were in, Watts retreated.
"They're backing off!" Robyn said.
"We're half a day from the Emerald Forest." Qrow said. "If she caught up to them, it's likely Raven will stay with Summer and Sapphire. They're in good hands with her."
"Then let's catch up to them." Clover said then floored the truck.
At the Xiao Long household, an excited scream was heard them Yang ran downstairs to her dad and sister.
"News, my Sunny Dragon?" Tai asked.
"I got need that I got into Beacon!" The blonde girl said.
Ruby and Tai both smiled and hugged her.
"Congratulations, sis!" Ruby said.
"I'm so proud of you!" Tai said.
Yang was smiling ear to ear.
"I'm catching the next ferry to Vale and getting you something!" Ruby said then was gone in a burst of rose petals before Tai or Yang could stop her.
In Vale, Lapis was walking Fang when the Crystal Grimm began growling, causing the boy to stop.
"Fang? What's wrong, boy?" He asked them heard running footsteps approaching and drew his sword. He then turned around and raised his sword in time to deflect a thin blade aimed at him. He then kicked his attacker backwards.
This woman stood at 4'10 with fair skin tone, pink and brown hair with eyes colored the opposite side of the hair color. There were white streaks in her bangs on the pink side of her hair. She wore a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, a single pink button and large pink cuffs, brown pants with a dark belt that has a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket was a brown overbust corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wore a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck, and black and white spat styled under the knee boots alongside black gloves.
"So, you're Neopolitan, eh? Roman Torchwick's right hand woman?" He asked. "I'm not impressed."
She narrowed her eyes at him then the two charged at each other and blades began clashing. Civilians nearby worried watched the fight. Not wanting his Faunus to get hurt, Fang ran to Neo, growling and barking before pinning the criminal down but Neo shattered like glass, confusing the Grimm.
Lapis looked around, but his wolf ears have away Neo's position and he swept her legs out from under her and sent Neo to the ground. To prevent a counterattack, he pointed his sword at her chin.
"Surrender, Neo. You've lost." He said as she stood up slowly.
With no plans of going to jail, Neo shattered again but didn't reappear this time.
Fang ran to Lapis, whimpering in concern.
"I'm okay. Thanks to you, Fang. Good boy." He said.
Fang barked happily then the two pressed her towards the apartment.
In the warehouse Steel and Cinder were in, a man walked to them. He had on a bowler hat and a white suit.
"Neo jumped the gun and tried grabbing the Lazuli boy." The man growled. "And evidently, Liv tried to grab Little Red yesterday and failed."
"Disappointing, Roman. On your part and theirs! I thought you three were professionals!" Steel shouted.
"That boy's so highly skilled, Neo underestimated him, same for Lib with the girl! Next time they won't!"
"I certainly hope so, Roman." Cinder said. "Now, get started on the Dust robberies."
Roman sighed then left.
Ozpin was in his office when Tai and Holly called him. Both appeared on a holo screen.
"Any news, Oz?" Tai asked.
"Nothing yet, but given the time they've made, Sapphire and Summer should be in the Emerald Forest by this evening." Ozpin said.
Both nodded.
"I'll meet up with Summer, Raven, and Qrow tomorrow in the forest. Oh, and Yang told us the news. Ruby's headed to Vale to get something for her."
"Meanwhile, here in the city, Lapis got attacked!" Holly told them both.
"By whom?" Ozpin asked.
"Trivia Vanille, or Neopolitan as she seems to prefer these days." She
"Ruby said she had to fight against someone too. If Neopolitan is Roman's right hand woman, then this Liv Ruby mentioned may be his left hand woman."
"Hmm...Perhaps Beacon is the safest place for both of them for now."
Later, as the sun began to set, Raven, Summer, and Sapphire arrived in the Emerald Forest. The three soon heard a vehicle approaching.
They saw the transport arrive then Robyn, Qrow, and Clover exited the truck.
"Qrow!" Summer said.
"Hey, pipsqueak." He said with a smirk as the two hugged.
"Robyn! You're a sight for sore eyes. Same to you, Clover." Sapphire said.
"We should get comfy. Her followers left." Qrow said softly to Raven, Summer, and Sapphire then spoke up. "We can set up camp here and press on in the morning. Saph and Sum's pursuers know it's pointless to keep following is so we can take it slow to get to Beacon."
Robyn and Clover nodded then got to setting up camp. Afterwards, they all took some time to relax.
