At Wilhelm's Los Agnes hideout, Devin awoke, seeing herself pinned down to a transmutation circle of some sort.
"What are you doing to me?" Devin pleaded. "Let me go!"
"Relax." Wilhelm replied. "We are just getting started." He forced Devin to commit Human Transmutation, as she saw the gate. Truth appeared as a pale white silhouette of a woman standing in front of Devin.
"Well, trying to cross a bridge, I see?" Truth told Devin. "If you're going to cross the bridge, you have to pay the toll."
"What are you going to take from me?" Devin cried. "Tell me!"
"You will find out soon enough." Truth took Devin's right eyeball as it disintegrated, leaving an empty hole where Devin's right eyeball once was.
"Devin, what happened to your eye?" Arina came to comfort Devin. She pulled out a headscarf that came bundled with the hat she bought at the clothing store. Hikari used her Xingese Alkahestry to turn it into an eyepatch and placing it over Devin's right eye.
"We should get you to an Automail mechanic!" Hikari was scared for Devin.
"Say no more!" Arina added. "Sokolov Works was an Automail manufacturer before it was a car company, manufacturing combat Automail for Drachma, but after the war, they decided to make cars instead."
"Glad you can help." Devin went to leave the hideout, but Wilhelm caught them.
"Leaving so soon?" Wilhelm appeared. "I don't think so." He pulled out his twin swords. Devin transmuted a sword from the ground and ripped off the Flamel bracelets since she didn't need them because she saw the Gate.
"How about we settle this WOMAN to man!" Devin charged at Wilhelm, trying to knock the skull mask off, but Wilhelm dodged the attack. He parried and did an uppercut. Devin blocked the attack. She used her alchemy to make her sword wrap around Wilhelm's second sword, snapping it apart.
"You don't seem as tough with only one sword!" Devin taunted. "Had enough yet?"
"Hmph, this is only the beginning!" Wilhelm and Devin clashed swords.
"You should have killed me when you had the chance." Devin pointed out Wilhelm's stupidity in his plan.
"I don't want to kill you." Wilhelm laughed maniacally. "That wouldn't solve anything. If I had killed you then history would remember you as a fighter for corruption, and corruption would rise up in your name, so I am saving you for the very end. Even if I have to burn down all of Los Agnes and New Folk, the whole of Arcadia, or even the world, I will save you for the very end of it all." While they were fighting, a hole busted in the wall. Some Alchemist Union soldiers in purple garb came through the hole, pointing at Wilhelm with guns. A man in a purple robe came to greet Devin, as he lifted up his hood.
"Devin Woods, come with us." The man lifted up his hood, and it was none other than the Edward Elric. He had all white with gold accents underneath, feeling as if he had been enlightened.
"Edward Elric, is it really you?" Devin was so excited to see Ed in person.
"Yes, it is me." Ed's soldiers approached Wilhelm. "Before we can apprehend Wilhelm, we must find out who he really is." Ed took off Wilhelm's mask and it revealed the face of a brown haired man with glasses and a beard.
"Arthur Armstrong?" Ed gasped. "Olivier's other protege?" Evan and Sarah came, arriving late.
"Brother!" Sarah was shocked to see her own brother was the true identity of Wilhelm.
"If you were Olivier's protege, why did you become Wilhelm?" Evan asked.
"Olivier told me stories about her encounters with Drachma." Arthur explained. "She inspired me as the Ice Queen of Fort Briggs, and I wanted to be stronger than she was, realizing that even if Drachma falls, another corrupt leader would take their place, so Drachma will still be active. I wanted to get rid of corruption for good, so I assumed the identity of Wilhelm, named after General Wilhelm, a legendary Amestris General who took the Northern territory in the first place, and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling alchemists!" Arthur realized he had a Philosopher's Stone on his hand, keeping it handy. When he was taken away by the Alchemist Union Security in a helicopter, Ed stayed with Devin and crew.
"I can take you to my wife Winry, she runs an Automail shop in Resembool." Devin agreed to go as they were to journey to Resembool.
At AutoMail Rockbell, Ed knocked on the door to his old stomping ground. Winry answered.
"Ed, you're home!" Winry was in her fifties, still looking splendid as ever. "Who are the new friends?"
"I'm Devin, this is Evan, Arina, Sarah, and Hikari." Devin introduced the new generation to Winry.
"What's with the eyepatch, Devin?" Winry wanted to know.
"I lost my eye to the Gate." Devin explained.
"Well, I'll see if I can make you an Automail eye." Winry went right to work and decided to make Devin an artificial eye.
Meanwhile, in the skies of Arcadia, the helicopter was transporting Arthur to the holding cell in New Folk, but Arthur decided to pull a fast one.
"Good bye world, see you on the other side." Arthur began to blow himself up with the Philosopher's Stone, creating an explosion that destroyed the helicopter, killing everyone on board, including himself.
In New Folk City, Harriet assumed the mantle of Wilhelm, standing in front of an army of soldiers with skull masks.
"The original Wilhelm is gone." She felt sad but passionate to finish what Arthur started. "You may have killed a person, but you cannot kill an idea." She marched with her soldiers, ready for their onward assault on the City Hall, ready to take out the mayor.
