Devin and Arina were in hot pursuit of the truck carrying the bomb. They followed the truck down the highway, speeding through the traffic with Ed's helicopter following them. Arina was driving the jeep as it was catching up to the truck. The truck went through Northern Manhallen, running past run down apartments crawling with Cretan Lords. The truck then drove to North Central and then Midtown Manhallen. It stopped underneath a bridge near a fancy building on the right side. Edward's helicopter was approaching the truck while Angelina and Harriet were carrying out the bomb.
"With this device, New Folk City will fall!" Harriet set the timer to one hour. Devin and Arina went out of the jeep, ready to fight their respective opponents. Devin challenged Harriet, as Harriet tried to use Destruction Alchemy to destroy the jeep, but Devin came to attack her. Devin kicked her to the ground. Devin and Harriet fought in hand to hand combat. Devin punched Harriet in the face, while Harriet countered with a side swing. Devin punched Harriet in the chest, but Harriet recovered.
"I'm just getting warmed up." Devin was jumping and and stretching.
"I have had enough of your nonsense!" Harriet charged at Devin.
"YOUR FACE ESPLODE!" Harriet screamed. Devin rolled out of the way and countered with a kick in the crotch.
"You're too slow!" Devin stuck her tongue out in a childish fashion, mocking Harriet.
"You're annoying!" Harriet was getting annoyed, as she decided to pull out a gun, but revealed her identification as an executive of Mark Dennis Pictures in Los Agnes.
"Mark Dennis!" Devin gasped. "You're a fraud, you're an executive of a corrupt Berrywood studio!" The police cars rolled by.
"There she is!" Chief Harris got out of his car and arrested Harriet.
"This is the woman that was infamous for the company's poor working conditions, sexual abuse of the voice actors and actresses, and even underpaying some of the animators because she thought she was too high and mighty to play by the rules."
"Joke's on you, this city is going to blow, killing all of us!" She looked at the bomb, but the bomb was missing.
"EDWARD!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Harriet was arrested and thrown in the police car, ready for delivery to prison. When she was in jail before the trial, she pulled off her belt and made a makeshift noose that she tied around her neck and hung herself from a hook on the jail wall used to hang coats. She knew she was going to be found guilty, so she committed suicide before the trial started.
Meanwhile, Arina was fighting Angelina in a duel. They waved out their guns and put them away. After that they bowed to each other and took ten steps backwards. They turned around simultaneously, but Arina drew and shot first.
"You….bastard!" Angelina cried, as she was bleeding out.
"Sorry mom, but Sokolov Works is under new management." Angelina was trying to tell Arina one last thing before she died.
"Your father is…." She passed away before she could reveal the truth.
"I will have to find the answers to where my father is." Arina approached Devin to hope Edward the best.
Twenty minutes were on the clock as Edward cleared the mainland of Manhallen. He flew the helicopter out in the Arcadia sea with ten minutes left to go. As he headed to the Western Ocean with 5 minutes left to go, he continued to the center of the Western Ocean as the timer counted down.
"Good bye world." Edward said to himself. "I will be missing you." The timer counted its last 5 seconds and the bomb exploded, creating a mushroom cloud that killed Edward Elric.
"Edward Elric…..is gone." Devin cried.
Moments later, there was a memorial service held for Edward Elric with Adrianne as Mayor. Everyone gathered in the City Hall lobby to celebrate the life and legacy of Edward Elric. A statue of Edward Elric was unveiled in the center of the lobby after Edward's death. Meanwhile in Core Park, a second statue of Edward Elric was erected. Adrianne held a ceremony to rename the park.
"In honor of the legendary Edward Elric, Core Park will be renamed Edward Elric Park." Everyone clapped. Roy Mustang, Evan, Sarah and Hikari were there as well as Devin and Arina.
"So Devin, I'm hungry. I want some beef stew."
"Edward used to love beef stew, according to the texts I read." Devin and Arina hugged each other, crying. "Trisha's Lullaby" was playing in the background, while it was raining in New Folk.
"It's not a good day for rain." Arina spoke in a somber manner.
"Arina listen to me." Devin wanted to comfort Arina. "You got two legs there, so I suggest you go ahead and use them." Arina smiled. "Stand up and keep moving forward." The rain stopped and the sun was shining again.
"The rain stopped." Arina mentioned. "What do we do now?"
"We go on our date." Devin and Arina journeyed onward, as they had a long romantic future ahead of them.
