Congrats THRONE WARDEN for 20th comment!

Writer-Rabbit-Newsie-Grace: It just keeps getting better! XD poor Liam, I can relate to his problems.

THRONE WARDEN: Ah, that Inn sounds amazing!

THRONE WARDEN: *gasp* Is it... I have done the 20th review! Great story, by the way.

RainyDayReading342: To Gracie- Lol for real. I am so glad you liked it! And I am hoping to write more about it... *no spoilers* Lol its pretty much me fangirling over this, and ElvenQueenLibrary super hesitant about writing this kind of stuff, and I don't blame them at all.

RainyDayReading342: To THRONE WARDEN- Yep, I would love to go to that Inn. And yes, you have won the 20th review. I will PM you soon.

ElvenQueenLibrary: I am also one prone to *fangirling* as Rainy says. I seriously mostly focus on Liam's side of the story, even though I love Itzel and Arthie, since he reminds me so much of Janner. It is also fascinating to write from the parent's perspective and their actions for the children. It has to be the right balance between maturity and fun. *breathes in relief to end rant*

Kalmar stood on the shore of Anneira. Captain Gesher was beside him, as were most of the other adults. In the waters of the sea, they could see a dark shape moving around.

"Come, dragon. We mean no harm to you and your kind; you must know very well that we are in fact working on an alliance with all dragons," Kalmar called to the sea. It had been many hours to coaxing the dragon to come and talk to them. They had tried several things, but the dragon still seemed weary to come to shore.

Then finally, the dark shape moved closer, and finally broke the surface of the water. It had beautiful amber colored scales, and glittering emerald eyes that were hundreds of years old.

The dragon's gleaming teeth and massive shape were very intimidating, but Kalmar faced the dragon with all regalness.

High King Kalmar, it spoke in all of the adults minds. Maraly, Oskar, and Nia gasped. They had never been blessed with the gift of hearing a dragon. But the magic was so strong, the situation so dire, that all of the adults could hear it.

The dragon was a female. And she was very distressed. Kalmar dipped his head.

"I am he," he responded.

I am Etheralle. I saved your young from the sea. I brought him to shore. Now I ask you to do the same for me.

Kalmar looked at Janner.

"Our young? Do you mean one of our children?" Kalmar asked with hope flaring in his eyes.

The boy looked like Janner Wingfeather. I assume it was yours.

"Liam," breathed Janner.

I heard sounds of struggles from my home in the sea. I came and saw a dark figure underneath a boat. It looked deformed. Deshaped. Then I saw a boy thrown off the boat and sink into the dark sea. He was unconscious. I knew he would drown. So I swam up, and I saved him. I carried him to the shore. And I left him there. Dragons don't come between humans and their problems. But I did it because I knew he was from the royal family. And I need your help.

Sara's eyes welled with tears.

"Anneira is in your debt. We thank you for your kind deed, mighty Etheralle. How may we repay you?" Kalmar asked.

The dragon's huge eyes looked weary when it spoke.

My child was taken from me. I have waited many mating seasons for this egg and I was overjoyed when I had it. Many other dragons were so happy for me. And then it was taken from me. My child was taken. And I must rescue him. You must help me, High King Kalmar!

Kalmar looked gravely at the dragon. Then he swept a low bow.

"Anneira is in your debt, Etheralle. We will help you rescue your egg. Who, pray, took it?"

Etheralle sunk lower into the waters, her belly brushing the shallow sandy floor.

Fangs, she growled. The rumbling noise shook the shores of Anneira, and rage pooled in Etheralle's mind. Leeli clung to Artham so that she wouldn't fall over.

"I promise we will do whatever we can to save your baby. But you must calm yourself so you can think clearly!" Kalmar called to the distinguished beast.

Etheralle's mind seemed to clear a little as the King's words sunk deeper into her head. Then she closed her eyes, and Kalmar's mind was suddenly overwhelmed with memories not his own.

The dragon was in the large, dark ocean. She was in a massive cave, deep under the ocean with a sandy floor. Etheralle's long, massive body was curled around a single egg. The egg was easily the size of a small shed. Etheralle was drifting off to sleep, her mind whispering gentle lullabies to her beloved unborn child.

Suddenly, Etheralle felt her egg shift. She hugged it closer, and it was back to her again. But it felt...different. It smelled strange. And it felt heavier. And cold. Etheralle opened her large eyes a sliver, and saw a large, round, boulder in her embrace, not her egg!

Etheralle was wide awake in an instant, her senses sharp and panic coursing through her veins. She looked back and forth sharply, but there was nothing!

Then she looked up. There was a group of Fangs with bulbous, round things strapped to their heads and two deformed creatures jerking away with her egg in their hands. They were swimming out of her cave at a super speed and out into the ocean, aiming for the surface.

With a mighty roar and wild, crazed eyes, Etheralle spread her fin-wings and shot forward.

She swam with all her might to the figures in the water.

DRAGONS! COME, MY CHILD IS BEING TAKEN! AFTER THEM! she roared.

But there was no one to come help her. Everyone was gone. They said they were going to meet with the High King Kalmar in the Green Hollows. They urged her to come, but she insisted on staying so she could care for her egg.

Now they were gone. Gone, gone gone. Just like her child.

NO!! she unleashed a mighty roar, and she shot past the water so fast it stung her scales. She was almost there, she could catch up to them and save her baby.

The figures were nearing the surface. They were almost there.

NO!! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!! RETHET'AR, KWASDEY JUIO'KKTA CHULUU!CHULUU! FGASH VAKKTI'TAA!!

She started speaking the ancient tongue of the dragons.

She was almost there! And then-

Her jaws snapped, and she caught one of the green tailed fangs by its tail and swallowed it whole. She had reached them!

She roared again, the sound utterly deafening. She was about to snap her mighty jaws and crush them all, when she remembered her egg was in their possession. She couldn't risk her egg cracking. Her child. Her Chuluu.

One of the deformed creatures reached out a deshaped hand with a large dagger.

"Jiak liwo mabus naj-ri, stay away!" screamed one of the creatures in a bubbly voice. "Jiak liwo mabus naj-ri, if you do not stay away!"

Jiak liwo mabus naj-ri. It was the phrase of I will murder him or Kill him in the ancient dragon language. The accent was off by miles, but the word was understandable.

It was clear what would happen if Etheralle tried anything else.

There was a glint in the creature's violet eyes. It knew it was winning.

NO! GI CHULUU! THAFRE'L, Etheralle wailed. She was a mighty dragon, a majestic creature against these minnows. But she was helpless.

The Fangs and the two creatures then suddenly flew through the water. Etheralle looked up and shot after them, but they had already reached the surface.

The Fangs and the two creatures flew onto a boat, and one of the creatures slipped back into the water underneath the boat and flapped her large fish tail abnormally fast, and the boat shot forward.

DREELI CEEDKALFH! WI'JK DKO'LLHO!!!! Etheralle cursed them as she broke the surface.

They were getting away!

Then to her utter surprise, a large group of Bat Fangs came to their boat and took the egg. They hoisted it into the sky with them, and started to fly away. The other Bat Fangs swept up the other Fangs and the two creatures into the black night sky.

Etheralle spread her wings and flapped them out of the water. She went after them, crookedly trying to fly. But they had already gotten away.

With a massive heave, Etheralle fell and sank into the dark sea of darkness.

Chuluu.

Gone.

Kwasatri masaweqt.

Dehjkpa.

Leffputshti deptrarri.

I weep.

Etheralle sank into the waters and heaved heavy sobs. Her child was taken. Her Chuluu was gone.

Everyone blinked. None of them had dry eyes.

Tears slipped down Leeli's cheeks as she rushed forward into the water. Her dress got wet as she splashed her way to Etheralle.

When she reached the mighty dragon, Leeli reached up her hand and rested it on the dragon's nose.

Green, watery eyes stared at Leeli sadly.

"I'm so sorry. We will do everything we can to help you. I will do anything to help you."

Both young mothers sat there and cried. Kalmar wiped his eyes and looked over at Janner's equally tear stained face. Nia clung to Artham as emotions clouded both their faces.

"Leeli is right. We will help you find your..."

My Chuluu. Chuluu has many meanings in the modern tongue of humans, bit it can be translated easiest into, "beloved child".

" Yes," Janner said. "Soon your Chuluu will be with you again. And Kal," he added in a whisper. "I think the Fangs that took Itzel and Arthie are the same fangs who took Etheralle's egg."

There was a moment of silence, then chaos erupted as all the adults frantically scrambled for explanations.

A/N: So the phrase "Jiak liwo mabus naj-ri" is from an online language translated from Lord of the Rings, Orcs. *if that is how you spell it* It means, "I will murder him" We did Orcs because they were literally the only species we could think of that had that kind of dark phrase LOL
