Kyu relaxed in his temporary room, trying to figure out how to lead Itachi away.
He dressed in his casual clothes, a red t-shirt, blue faded jeans, thin zip-up sweater with a fox on the left side. He grabbed his backpack and put his wallet in his pocket and grabbed his old flip phone. He checked himself in the mirror and adjusted a few strands of misplaced red hair and made his way back down the stairs.
If he can't lead him out willingly by asking him to go somewhere then maybe having the Uchiha follow him was another option. Of course, it would lead to Kisame following as well. Minor setback.
"Kyu, where are you off to?" Mikoto asked a bit worried.
"Figured I would take a walk to the park," he answered with a smile.
"Code: I'm going home to grab a few things," Kisame put in, "You can't go home, it's being used as a crime scene."
"What? Why?"
"Do you want me to say?" Kisame said implying that he found the boxes and his missions. Meaning that he either told Itachi about it or tucked that information away.
"This is about Naruto's kidnapping? Shouldn't that be closed?" Kyu said switching the train of thought and also telling Kisame not to say anything yet.
"You're not going home until it's officially closed. We still don't know who took him in the first place. And there's no telling that they'll go after you next or not."
"Fine, then follow me around the block! I'm about to lose my mind staying in the house."
"Lead the way, Kyu."
He slipped on his shoes and opened the door quickly and took one step forward before stopping and reeling back. Itachi stood there shocked at first then collected himself by narrowing his eyes.
"Where are you going?"
"About to be followed by two annoying people around the block." Kyu partly growled and pushed Itachi to the side and started walking down the sidewalk. He walked for a few minutes in anger before slowing down and stopping at the crosswalk. His mind now focuses on the situation at hand.
He turned and walked at a steady pace as promised around the block.
'O wants the Uchiha officer alone, I'm not allowed to leave the house without a guide. If I pick my time right I'll only have Itachi shadowing me, but the timing needs to be right. Kisame can't be here, he also needs to be asleep and that window varies.'
He slowed his pace again and stopped. He took a quick glance around getting his barrings before starting his stroll again. No doubt Kisame is telling Itachi what he's doing.
'Kisame is the only person that knows my thought process visibly. But what I'm thinking is different. He probably thinks that I'm worried about the boxes, or the possibility of me failing my mission. Or he could be thinking that I'm plotting my mission. He knows that I'll succeed he's probably thinking of how to prevent it by telling Itachi what to do.'
His phone rang and he answered without looking at who calling.
"Hey," Kisame said. Kyu pulled the phone from his ear and looked at it then turned back to see Kisame waving happily like he hasn't seen his best friend in years.
"What are you planning?" Kyu asked now on guard and getting hyper-aware of his surroundings. He turned in time to see Itachi throwing something over his head, instinct kicked in and quickly floored Itachi and threw off the bag. It was enough of a distraction for Kisame to run up and handcuff him before he could do more damage. "What is going on?" Kyu was pulled back and the bag was placed back on. Kyu slowed his frantic breathing and tried to get himself in a calm state. If Kisame was doing this then it was for a reason, he was ushered to what sounded like a car and was eased into the backseat.
"Good job," he heard a familiar voice. Kabuto's voice. O clearly has connections and blackmail on everyone he meets, was Itachi not his true target after all? "Kurama, or should I call you Reizo Ishida? It turns out you were the one we were looking for, you stole something very important from our Boss' lab. We would like it back."
"What should we do with the other two?" That wasn't Kisame's voice, or Itachi's. Was that not them? Where are they?
"We're keeping the black-haired one, release the big one." The information was relayed on a radio, "Raizo we are going to take you back because you delivered us something precious. We'll only need your blood."
"What about the Uchiha?" Kyu asked trying to keep his tone even. He was glad that Kisame wasn't going to be harmed but the same couldn't be said about Itachi.
"Don't worry about him, he's going to have a very good stay." Something pinched the side of his neck and he instinctively growled and tried to bite the hand that harmed him. He knew that if he fought the drug that was injected would work faster but his mind was on saving the other man that was kidnapped with him. In his fight hands held him down and back, he felt his strength leaving him and soon it was dark.
