15. Aftermath of Feoh(2)

A week has passed since the public execution. It's been all quiet in Feoh and things in the city are slowly turning back to normal. A few shops and Inns have reopened for business to the general public. There hasn't been any major Kuroinu activity since the first battle other than a few reports of small skirmishes The Shield Kingdom knows Vaults will retaliate in some way how though is uncertain. His forces are regrouping it'll be some time now until their next plan is in motion and this is something the Shield Kingdom can use as an advantage.

"There he is…The Wolf"

"He sent those Kuroinu running scared after he killed their leader"

"Glad a Mandalorian is on the Shield Kingdoms side."

A few citizens in the streets of Feoh were whispering to one another as our Bounty Hunter walked pasted them. After the Battlefront of Feoh, the people have been grateful to have a Mandalorian in their city because most of them would've been dead or worse if he wasn't there.

Dredgen overhearing them didn't pay much mind to it. If people want to call him 'The Wolf' then so be it. Though he is curious what would the Armorer would think of it. Work has been relativity slow the past week for him in fact there's been none. His Employer Celestine hasn't requested him to do any type of task he needs to do. No bounties to hunt, no need to be Primms bodyguard or anything just telling him to take a well-earned long break for what he has done

The Mandalorian doesn't mind taking a break from working once in a while. Rest is important to every warrior he has been using the time to train himself more than usual and doing a little reading for RNR and such. But Dredgen is not the type to take long breaks he knows he shouldn't take it easy that long, otherwise his skills and senses will get dull. He likes to keep them sharp so in the past week he's been doing a few side jobs nothing big or anything.

Turning the corner of the street the Mandalorian sees Eleonora's church it's still going under repairs but it's open to the public. Outside of the front entrances, there was a line of citizens waiting to receive a meal from the church that was serving food to those in need. Many were already eating at tables that were set up on the lawn kids were playing around, it was almost like a big picnic

Dredgen was not surprised by this he expect Eleonora and her colleagues would do this kind of thing. She and her Nuns have always been good to their community which he respects highly. He made his way inside but as he was a Blond Nun who was manning the table noticed him as when he was about to pass them

"Oh it's you! The Mandalorian!"

"Hello there." Dredgen greeted with a nod. He recognized the Nun she is one of the captors he rescue from those Imps and she seems very pleased to see our Mandalorian

"What brings our savior here?"

Dredgen was almost flattered to be called their savior

"I was checking up on how things are here I can see you've all been very busy." The Mandalorian said as he looks around the many people happily eating

The Blond Nun smiled "It was all thanks to you that these people are getting a proper meal."

What the Nun was talking about is that Eleonora put out a request to the Guild in Feoh to help feed the community by hunting wild animals for them to use but the issue for the church wasn't the reward this time it was labor from the Guild. After the Battlefront of Feoh Guild members have been in short supply lately due to the Shield Kingdom needing them to help rebuild the city and such.

Dredgen heard about it and decided to take the job to Eleonora's surprise but was grateful that he took it. Details she gave him is to 'bring what he could' and like the first time he did for this church, he brought a carriage worth of food for them.

"Ah where are my manner you should have some too!" The Blond Nun eagerly said "It's only fair that you made all of this possible!

"I'm g-"

Before even giving his answer the Nun had already poured him a bowl of stew of the game he hunted for them

"Um…I'm not hungry at the moment." Dredgen gently pushed the bowl away from her

"A-Ah m-my apologies I didn't mean to. The Blond Nun put the bowl down.

"It's alright" Dredgen assured "I've taken enough of your time and let you all get back to work

"Ah wait! You were heading inside yes?"

"That is correct"

"High Priestess Elenora was hoping to speak to you the next time you came here. She will be happy that you dropped by."

And the very moment the Blond Nun said that As if was on cue the High Pristreess came out outside and saw our Bounty Hunter

She greeted him with a smile

"High Priestess Eleonora" The Mandalorian nods his head to her

"Dredgen. Came to see how things are here?"

"You could say that."

Eleonora again smiled "I'm glad that you're here I was hoping we could discuss something together."

"Your colleague here informed me of that."

"I see Then please come with me."

Dredgen politely nods his head and follows Elenora inside the church. Walking inside the church there were a few people inside sitting, praying, and whatnot to get some solace and peace of mind

Eleonora opened the door to her office both the High Priestess and Mandalorian entered and both sat down.

"So what is it you wish to discuss?" Dredgen asks

Eleonora didn't say a word yet she grabbed something within her desk and places a small bag on the table pushing it toward the Mandalorian

"Here. This is from us."

Dredgen looked at the small bag

"What is it?"

"Money."

"Money?"

Opening the small bag it contained a small number of bronze coins and a few silver ones in the mix. It's not a lot to say enough to stay a night at an Inn and have a meal for dinner. Dredgen was a bit confused by this he already receives his payment from the hunting job he did for them.

"Why are you giving me this? You've already given me my payment"

"Everyone here and myself included wanted to give you something for saving our lives that day. We didn't know what you would like Sooo..this is what we came up with."

The Mandalorian stared at the small bag it was tempting to take the money but it was unprofessional for him to do so he only did it because it was his job to defend Feoh from the Kuroinu

"I.. appreciate the gesture, High Priestess Elenora but…I cannot accept it.

Dredgen gently pushed the small bag but as he was Eleonora placed her hand his stopping him

Eleonora just smiled at him as if she knew he would say that

"I knew you would say that saying you were doing what you were hired to do but I insist you take it. Not as a reward or payment for saving us but as a gift. Besides, all the children here pitched in and wanted you to have this. You don't wanna break their hearts do you?"

Eleonora motions her head to the office door. Dredgen turns his head and he can see a few children poking their heads out staring at him very intently.

The Mandalorian turns back to the High Priestess who had a grin on her face

"Ahh…I see what you're trying to do."

Eleonora didn't say anything she just playfully laughed at him which made Dredgen chuckle a little.

"Hmph..Very well I thank you for this. Dredgen took the small bag and put it in his leather satchel as he did he and Eleonora heard the children outside the room let out a cheer

The High Priestess chuckled hearing their cheers outside her office

"They're taking a liking to you."

"So it seems"

Eleonora just stared at the Mandalorian for a moment, she remembers the very day he arrived at her church to do the request she put up those years ago and see to him now with a full set of Beskar armor and now under contract with the Shield Kingdom to aid in their new war against the Kuroinu. It's almost cathartic for the High Priestess to see how much he's grown

"I am very glad that we were able to meet once again. You've certainly become a good man."

The Mandalorian chuckled at that "Hmph…Don't think that right word for me but I do appreciate it.

Eleonora smiled but after a moment she slightly frowned

"After what has happened you'll likely be needed elsewhere"

"Most likely."

"I see..but If you're ever in Feoh again please do stop by for a visit. The children here will be thrilled if you did.

Dredgen nods his head to Eleonora "You have my word and I'll honor it as Mandalorian should. This is the way.

Eleonora stared at the Mandalorian for a moment before smiling again

"I look forward to it, I will be praying for your safety on your quest"

Dredgen and Elenora stood up

"Until then."

Both respectfully shook hands and parted ways. Dredgen bid his farewell to Eleonora and everyone else in the church. The Younglings were especially saddened at this but were happy to hear that he'll visit them the next time he's ever in Feoh again.

The Mandalorian returned to the Holy Temple through the south gate. The guards at the gate let him on through with no issue. As he was walking in the inner parts of the Holy Temple he noticed these past days he has become the talk among the Shield Knights and Nobility types.

At first, when he arrived to Feoh he overheard there were doubts about him being able to help them against the Kuroinu invasion but after the Battlefront and people dubbing him as 'The Wolf' nearly everyone had new-found respect towards our Mandalorian. Hell even most of the female Shield Knights and Nobles are somewhat having a crush on his mystique armored appearances and are wondering what he looks like without his helmet they have never seen him take off.

The Bounty Hunter doesn't really care about the attention though he does like that he's being treated more respectably now than before when he arrived in Feoh. Thinking of it he also noticed Alicia's attitude towards him has also changed. She's been acting more… friendly now and less hostile or agitated whenever they're together. It was off at first for Dredgen to see from the Blond Knight but do appreciate her treating him more like a person than a nuisance.

Continue to walk through the inner parts of the Holy Temple the Mandalorian ponders in his thoughts about his quest. Aiding the Shield Kingdom will continue to get harder down the road for him he alone won't be enough to help them win the war against the Kuroinu. He needs help he needs allies, he needs other Mandalorians who are willing to aid him on his quest.

Finding other coverts or Mandalorian has been difficult. Dredgen was hoping the Shield Kingdom would have reports of sightings of other Mandalorians or anything that he could use to help him find them but none so far. This isn't deterring him he is determined to find them he has to for 'This is the way'. Still, there's the doubt in the back of his head if they are even willing to aid him or not but nonetheless, his quest still continues

Dredgen turned a corner and was arriving at the training area as he was passing through he noticed there were a large number of Shield Knights gathered there and they were watching and cheering at a sparring match that was going on in the center. And by the sound of it, it was a big one to say

Curious about what was all the excitement about, he approaches the center and can see why. It was Iris sparring with one of the Shield Princesses, particularly Luu-Luu. The Red-haired Knight was really going the attack but it seems it was not enough against the Halfing.

"Haaaa!"

Iris lets out a battle cry as she charges with her training sword. She thrust her sword at Luu-Luu who had a training battle ax in her hand. The Halfing steps back dodging the Red-Haired Knights sword thrust inches away from her

Luu-Luu continue to do that she was fast able to keep up with Iris. Her small statue gave her the advantage making her difficult to hit and the Halfing knows that. Everyone watching was in suspense at the display

"Enjoying the show?"

A familiar voice caught the Mandalorian's attention. Turning his head he sees Olga beside her , Chloe her Handmaiden as well who were also watching the sparring match

"Olga. Chloe." Dredgen greeted

"Dredgen." Olga greeted back with a smile happy to see the Bounty Hunter so was Chloe

"Didn't think you 2 would be here watching a sparring match."

Olga just smiled at his words

"The Halfing heard you and that Shield Knight worked together to fend off those Dogs from this city you even trained her and a few of her colleagues a bit so she wanted to see what you taught them. And I was too curious how you trained them"

"I see."

"If you had to guess who you think will be the winner of this?" Olga asks

Dredgen looks back at the match and observes carefully at them. Both are skilled and he can tell Iris has improved after the Battlefront of Feoh her agility and movement seem faster than before. Her attacks were quick, and precise as expected of her

On the other hand, while observing Luu-Luu she was keeping up with the Red-Haired Knights' speed with ease. The Halfing dodges Iris's attacks or blocks them with her training ax. Her movement was a bit erratic to say and her attacks were strong from what he can tell when Iris blocks them and judging her reaction it still somewhat harmed her.

Her style was very different from the Shield Knights it was more chaotic like, but still maintained control of herself and it seems she was laughing, and smirking during the match as if she was playing rather than sparring.

"Hmmm from what I have seen so far I would say Lady Luu-Luu would be the victor"

"The Halfing?"

"Yes."

Olga just hums at his answer but can too see the Halfing Shield Princess being the victor in this spar.

"Well let's hope your judgment isn't wrong here Dredgen"

"Your Handmaiden Chloe may fair better if she spars with one of them." The Mandalorian said

"Oh?"

Both the dark elves turned their heads at the Mandalorian and were surprised at what he said it was out of now where

"You think my Handmaiden is a far better fighter than those 2?" Olga asks curiously

"I haven't had a chance to engage with Lady Luu-Luu in a spar yet but between Lady Iris and Chloe. I would say your Handmaiden would be the victor"

"Really?"

"Yes. Chloe and her movement kept me on my toes when we fought for the first time."

The Dark Queen stared at the Mandalorian for a moment before looking back at her Handmaiden Chloe who had her head away from them but her long pointed ears twitching visible

Olga let out a small grin seeing her Handmaiden like this it was rather amusing

"Hmmm It seems your words made my Handmaiden happy."

"Just giving my opinion," Dredgen said "but how is your magic? Any progress in it returning to its normal state?"

Olga however sighed at his question

"Unfortunately no. It still remains in a weak state when we left the Black Citadel. Celestine has been helping me but nothing so far"

Dredgen raised a brow at what the Dark Queen said he recalls seeing the red crystal in the Black Citadel the source of her power and remembers it feeling strange, off, and weak when he touched it, could it have died out now? No unlikely, Olga can still use a bit of her magic just barely though.

This seems rather strange but this is something our Mandalorian shouldn't delve his thoughts into further he's no expert in anything magic related. In any case, he's hoping the Goddess's aid will be enough to help the Dark Queen regain her power.

"I see I'm sorry to hear that."

The Dark Queen smiled at his words "I appreciate your concern Dredgen.

The Mandalorian nodded his head and returns to watching the sparring match it seems it was about to end soon

Iris continue to be on the attack but was unable to land a single blow on Luu-Luu. Every move she did was easily blocked or dodged it even when she tries to counter the Halfing saw it coming. It was rather getting annoying for the Red-Haired Knight and she was getting exhausted but wasn't gonna let that deter her.

Iris backed away and ready her training sword. She lunged at Luu-Luu and thrust her weapon at her. The Halfing smirked at this she gripped tight on her training ax and just as Iris was about to get close with her sword the Shield Princess did a heavy upswing with her training ax striking hard on the Red-Haired Knights' weapon.

In that very moment, Iris's sword was knocked out of her hands before she could even process what happened Luu-Luu already has her training ax pointing at her smiling at her most likely impressed at her display

Iris stood there for a moment she glanced back at the weapon that is behind her and then looked back at Luu-Luu. THe Red haired Knight sighed letting out a chuckle and accepting her defeat.

"Hmph…I yield Lady Luu-Luu"

Right away the Halfing backed away lowering her training ax

"Not bad Iris. You did well."

Everyone in the area clapped at the display some were snapping their tongue in disappointment as they lost a bet hopping Iris to win.

Iris bows to Luu-Luu and was honored to have to spar against another Shield Princess besides Alicia and was humbled by the experience

"Thank you Lady Luu-Luu it was an honor."

Luu-Luu rubbed her chin very intrigued by Iris's combat prowess she can tell that the Red Haired Knight style was slightly different from normal Shield Knights. It remained the same but felt an unorthodox style in her strikes and movent it made her more formidable.

The Halfing grinned, So this is what the Mandalorian has taught her it's not much but still impressive to her. And as if was luck for Luu-Luu she then noticed our Bounty Hunter among the crowd and her face lit up when she saw him. She quickly went up to him

"Ah Dredgen! You were watching, were you? How was I? I was pretty good, wasn't I?"

The Mandalorian stared at Luu-Luu for a moment she really wants him to say something good about her. Almost like a child wanting their parents to praise them for whatever they.

"You were certainly good Lady Luu-Luu. So were you Lady Iris you've gotten better"

"Ah ha..T-Thank you" Luu-Luu nodded her head " I do appreciate your kind words

Luu-Luu gushed in embarrassment but felt happy to be praised it makes her feel all good inside. And it's even more that It's a Mandalorian praising her skills!

Iris too was happy to hear the Mandalorian's praise it was thanks to him that her skills have improved

"So what are you doing here Dredgen?" Luu-Luu asks

"Just passing on through. Dredgen answers

"Ah I see….Say since you're here let's do a spar together! You and me!"

Dredgen titled his head "A spar?"

"Yeah! I really wanted to see how skilled of a warrior you are but we didn't have the chance to do it back at the White Cidital"

"Why not do it Dredgen?" Olga suddenly asks "It'll be great to see you how far against this Halfing. Knowing you you'll put up a challenge for her.

Luu-Luu lets out a laugh at Olga's words "Ha! Even the Dark Queen thinks you'll be a tough opponent for me! Come on Dredgen it'll be fun!"

Dredgen stood there for a moment thinking it's not like he's doing anything at the moment and well sparring with the Shield Princess Luu-Luu herself would be a good learning experience for him

"Ok I can spare some time to spar with you Lady Luu-Luu"

"Aw yeah!" Luu-Luus face bright up with joy with his answer she couldn't help to be excited to spar with a Mandalorian

"Since I'm sparring with a Mandalorian like you I want to do something different"

"And that is?"

Luu-Luu cheekily smiled at Dredgen "Iris here told me you Mandaloirans often spar using real weapons. Sometimes using live ammo and magic

Dredgen raised a brow underneath his helmet at what Luu-Luus is saying but will answer "That is correct I've engaged in that type of spar before"

Luu-Luu smirked hearing that "Well I want to do that! Most people here would never want to use real weapons in sparring matches."

Dredgen including everyone else was surprised Luu-Luu wants to conduct such type of spar.

"Um, Lady Luu-Luu forgive me for interrupting" Iris jumped into the conversation" but I don't think should partake in such type of sparring with the Mandalorian you may get hurt."

"Oh, don't worry about me, Iris! My body can handle such things Dredgen can be rough with me if he likes." Luu-Luu said with a mischievous grin on her face as she was eyeing the Bounty Hunter

Dredgen for some reason felt like Luu-Luu hinted that toward him and the way she said it… he's not really sure how he feels about it but shouldn't let the Halfling's words distract him

"Are you sure you want to?" Dredgen asks Luu-Luu

"Oh I am sure Dredgen! It'll make it more exciting and fun! Mel-Mel! Hand me my ax!"

One of Luu-Luus Halfing's colleagues brought her battle ax and hand it to her. So it seems she is really serious about it. Dredgen couldn't help but chuckle at this If this is what the Shield Princess wants then he'll indulge her,

"Very well Lady Luu-Luu but remember this is what you wanted."

The Halfing lets out a grin of confidence. "Oh I know, now shall we?"

Dredgen nods his head both the Mandalorian and Halfing head to the center of the training area. As they were walking many in the crowd were getting excited to see this sparing match. Some were already placing bets on who would be the winner.

Standing across from the Halfing without saying a word the Mandalorian pulled out his spearbolt to the Shield Princess's approval that he is using that weapon against her.

"Don't hold back Dredgen use whatever cool toys you got against me." Luu-Luu said" A savvy warrior uses the tools at their disposal you said that to Alicia remember?

Dredgen stared at Luu-Luu for a moment before he chuckled he did tell Alicia that.

After observing Luu-Luus and Iris's little spar he can certainly tell the Halfing won't be easy on him but he likes a challenge. He never fought a Halfing before but from what he heard from others and stories they have abnormal super strength despite their small child-like appearance and they have great endurance

"Let's make this more interesting Dredgen! Let's do a little wager!" Luu-Luu shouted

"A wager?"

"Yeah if I win you got to let me use that jetpack of yours!"

"I'm not gambling my jetpack away."

"Oh relax I'm not taking it away from you." Luu-Luu assures " If I win I just wanna use it for a little flight test."

"Do you even know how to use it?"

"Nope but I'm sure I can get the hang of it! It looks easy enough!"

Dredgen blankly stared at the Halfing it's not easy as it looks he remembers when he began training to use one he ended up slamming into a wall or a tree a few times

"And what happens if I win? What do I get out of it?"

Luu-Luu smirked as if she already has an answer "A weapon."

"A weapon?"

"Yeah! My people in Ansur have been working on a new weapon prototype something you may like."

Dredgen pauses for a moment though he's not really sure he should accept the wager or not if he loses Luu-Luu will be using his jetpack for a little flight and has a strong feeling she may get hurt or worst and that will be on him if that happens.

But on the other hand, if he wins Luu-Luu will give him a prototype weapon her people have been working on something he may like. He knows Ansur is known to be an industrial city for the SHield Kingdom responsible for building weapons, armor, etc in mass production. Dredgen wonders what it could be Halflings are also known to be very intellectual and are good craftswomen too and the thought of getting a new weapon from them that no one knows about yet sounds very tempting to him

"Very well." Dredgen nods his head in agreement "I accept but don't think I'll make this easy for you Lady Luu-Luu"

"Luu-Luu looked pleased to hear that "Hmph…good."

The Halfing spun around her battle before entering her stance ready. The Mandalorian too did the same with his spearbolt.

Everyone watched intensely, as both stared down at one another. They are actually going to real weapons in spar which is unheard of or rare to do so in the Shield Kingdom army. Not one of them would even try to do something so dangerous as that but most know how Luu-Luu is for her unpredictable and chaotic nature and the other a Mandalorian

Iris acting as the ref for them was a bit concerned about how this will go that both are using real weapons instead of training ones. The Red Hair Knight is more concerned for Luu-Luu's safety she has seen what the Mandalorian is capable of in battle and that she knows his armaments are destructive and deadly against his opponents. But Iris won't interfere with Luu-Luu's request still it's a bit concerning

"Since both of you are using real weapons remember this is a spar, not an actual battle, refrain from attempting to take each other's life." Iris said reminding them "I will stop the match if any of you are unable to continue or are heavily injured. Do both of you understand this?"

"Yes."

"Yeah Yeah."

Both the Mandalorian and Shield Princess nods their head

With that out of the way, it's time to begin. Iris raised her hand she looked at both to see if they are ready. She closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. The Red hair Knight then moved her raised hand down and said.

"Begin"

Right away Luu-Luu dashes across the arena which caught off the Mandalorian she was faster than he anticipated and he barely had time to react when he saw the Halfing already swinging her battle at him

Dredgen backed away from it her first attack dodging it barely but Luu-Luu isn't gonna stop there. She rapidly swings her ax going on the offensive. She swung, thrust, jabs Her attacks were almost overwhelming for the Mandalorian her speed was greater than Alicia he couldn't do anything only be on the defense dodging them and what not but that barely did anything for him because Luu-Luus attacks were able to get a few scratches and graze on his armor

Luu-Luu swung her battle ax the Mandalorian raised his spearbolt to block the incoming attack. When it connect it was powerful that it pushed him back almost sending him across the arena but Dredgen kept his footing.

Dredgen wiggled his wrist, that really put a strain on it. So this is a Halflings strength he thought. It was very frightening to see but it didn't deter him to back down and in truth, he was kinda having fun at this. It's been a while since he ever had a tough sparred like this in fact he kinda misses it.

"Haha! Nice defense you got there. I'm surprised you manage to keep up with my attacks only a few can!"

Dredgen didn't reply but was honored to hear that from the SHield Princess. He can tell Luu-Luu was being serious against him the Mandalorian was flatter by this he can guess she really wants to win in order to use his jetpack for a spin but that was not gonna happen.

Gripping tight on his spearbolt it's time for him to go on the attack. He charges at Luu-Luu he quickly thrust his spearbolt multiple times Luu-Luu dodges backed away from the blade inches away from her and uses her ax to block but the Mandalorian knows his simple attacks aren't going away against a person like her. He had to be a bit more unorthodox

He thrust his weapon again Luu-Luu again dodged the tip of his spearbolt but as she did she barely noticed the stock of the Mandalorian spearbolt nearly her face

"Whoa!"

THe Sheild Princess managed to react in time dodging it away but she didn't have time for a breather as she was met with barrages of attacks by the Mandalorian. Every time she blocks or dodges them his follow-up attacks were always nearing her but never actually could land a blow. Luu-Luu was caught off guard by his sudden new style it was a bit overwhelming for her but also a bit exciting.

The crowd watching was in shock Luu-Luu was on her toes from the Mandalorian attacks. Only a few in the SHield Kingdom is capable to do so against her. Olga had a pleased look on her face to see Dredgen in action again he was really giving the Halfing a run for her money. Chloe too was in awe of it at his display moving fast and precious with each attack he does.

Dredgen was impressed at Luu-Luus her reflexes are better than most he has encountered so far perhaps better than his. But he wasn't gonna stop on the attack he'll give what the SHield Princess wants

The Halfing was to say damn well in awe at the Mandalorian's combat prowess very different from anything she has fought before and this is just a taste for her. Luu-Luu is determined not to lose the opportunity to use his Jetpack she isn't gonna back down

Luu-Luu parries one of the Mandalorians' attacks causing him to raise his spearbolt up giving her a small opening for a counterattack. The SHield Princess took the chance and swung down Dredgen managed to react and blocked the base of her ax with his spearbolt but the Halfling's strength was more than he anticipated it would be

*CLING* "Grah!"

Almost everyone watching was stunned when they heard a loud clanging noise and a groan from the Mandalorian. Luu-Luu actually managed to get hit on Dredgen her ax blade landed on his collarbone area thankfully his Beskar armor saved him from getting a fatal wound but from the look of it he really felt that one

"Ohoho if it weren't for that armor you would've been got hurt very badly Dredgen. Not bad you had me on my toes but are you perhaps underestimating me?" Luu-Luu asks feeling hurt he might

Dredgen didn't say a word he was not underestimating the Halflings, her physical strength was more than he thought it was. But it didn't deter the Mandalorian. Gritting his teeth and pushing hard he managed to push Luu-Luus's battle ax off of him barely just for a moment. He then swayed it to the side getting the heavy ax off of him

Backing away from her the Mandalorian moved his shoulder Luu-Luus's attack certainly hurt but not enough to cause and an injury and it seems she is having very fun at their sparring match. So was he too a little bit.

Dredgen had to change his tactics he flicked his wrist firing his rope launcher at the Halfling it wrapped around the staff part of her battle ax but when it did Luu-Luu didn't even seem fazed that her weapon is caught. In fact, she smirked at the Mandalorian to his confusion

The Mandalorian blankly stared at the Halfing before attempting to pull her weapon but when he did, It didn't budge at all even after trying again a few times it still wouldn't budge

Luu-Luu laughed at this attempt. "Haha!...Heavy isn't it?"

"Uh oh. Woah!"

Before the Mandalorian does anything Luu-Luu sways her battle ax dragging Dredgen she was in control.

Dredgen was surprised that he was tethered by his own gadget he tried to keep his footing but Luu-Luu sped up a bit more with her swaying that he couldn't keep up. He tripped falling to the ground as the Halfing dragged him onto the floor like he was a rag.

Luu-Luu was having fun at this she then lifts her battle ax over her shoulder lifting Dredgen up into the air. The Mandalorian not wanting to get smacked onto the ground like a hammer he quickly detaches the rope from his vambraces freed from Luu-Luu's hold but he was still in the air and was gonna crash to the ground.

With quick thinking, he used his Jetpack to control his descent for a brief moment but it was enough that he can land instead of crashing to the ground. The Mandalorian lands behind the Halfing catching his footing.

Quickly turning around Luu-Luu sees the Mandalorian staring at her. Everyone watching was in awe at Dredgen's cunning. The Halfing smirked at this too but isn't letting her guard down just because he has no weapon in his hand doesn't mean he isn't still a threat.

"Hehe.. I'm liking you more and more!"

Luu-Luu lets out a battle cry and dashes at him. She swung her battle ax Dredgen back step away but to the Halfing shock it was further than she expected

"Huh?"

The Halfing blinked looking confused at this when she saw the Mandalorian way across the arena from her there was no way he could've done that until she noticed the thrusters on his jetpack were lit up.

Luu-Luu realized what he did and grinned at this "Oooo using your jetpack to dash away from my attacks. How clever of you! But don't think you're gonna get away from that easily!"

"Then come and get me Lady Luu-Luu." Dredgen motioned his hand to her tempting her

Hearing that made the Halfing more eager to do so "Ohoho…now you're asking for it!"

Luu-Luu again dashes at the Mandalorian she swung her ax but again Dredgen used his jet boost to dodge her attacks and again and again, The Halfing puffs her cheeks in her annoyance at this she can't get a hit in! Even with her speed, there's no way for her to catch up with him every time he jets away from her.

But what is he doing she wonders the Mandalorian hasn't tried anything just dodging her attacks and going in circles in the arena. She then noticed him his eyes weren't on her but rather something behind her. Luu-Luu looks over her shoulder to see his spearbolt

Realizing what he was trying to do she formed a smirk on her face. She wasn't gonna let it make that easy for him. Luu-Luu gripped her ax.

"Come on Dredgen! Try to get your weapon!"

THe Mandalorian didn't say anything so she figured out what he was doing. He intend to wear her out a bit but guess that plan failed. Luu-Luu was standing in front of his spearbolt she's isn't gonna move and it looks like she was determined to not let him get his weapon. But that isn't gonna stop him.

With no hesitation, he charged right at the Halfing

Luu-Luu was surprised by this she didn't expect him to actually charge at her headlong but wasn't gonna let that stop her. When he got close The Hafling swing her ax but just as the Mandalorian was in the range of her swing he used his jetpack to launch himself in the air jumping over the Shield Princess

"W-What!?"

Luu-Luu quickly turned around to Dredgen and landed behind her sliding for a bit quickly catching himself he sprinted towards his spearbolt. Gritting her teeth the Halfing dashes him she can catch him before he could get to it!

Dredgen can sense the imminent danger behind him as if Luu-Luu was the Hunter chasing her prey. The Bounty Hunter sprinted with all his might he did a crouch sliding and managed to grab his spearbolt.

In that split, second Dredgen lifted his weapon quickly aiming at the Halfing who was jumping at him and already mid-swing of battle ax at him Pointing his weapon at her from the tip of his spear, a small spark appeared and jolted Luu-Luu knocking her to the ground.

Iris and almost everyone was horrified when it happened apart from Olga and Chloe were looking pleased. Luu-Luu wasn't moving at all.

Iris quickly snapped out of it she looked at the Mandalorian in almost utter disgust at what he did

"Dredgen that was too far!"

The Mandalorian blankly stared at the Red-Haired Knight. Is she serious? Luu-Luu was already mid-swing at her battle ax and if he hadn't done something he would've likely been hurt or killed. And it's not he didn't kill her anything she's alive just gave her a…big shock. Plus they were using real weapons she's lucky that Dredgen refrain from using a disruptor bolt on the Shield Princess on anything lethal on her.

Iris quickly went up to the Halfing to check up on her she looked very hurt from her perspective. "Lady Luu-Luu are you okay!?

The Halfing didn't respond Fearing the worst Iris leans her head closer and soon heard something from her it wasn't the sound of Luu-Luu in pain rather she was laughing.

"Hehe..hehe..HAHAHA!"

"Eh?"

Luu-Luu quickly rose up and was laughing hysterically raising her arms up cheering

"HAHA! That was awesome!"

Everyone blankly stared at her and was confused at Luu-Luus's action she was cheering all happy even though she lost and took a major shock to the Mandalorian spearbolt

"L-Lady Luu-Luu? A-Are you okay?" Iris asks

"Oh I'm totally fine!" To prove it she stood up like nothing ever happened.

Luu-Luu playfully smiled at everyone's reaction an attack like is nothing to her! Still hurt though but something she can endure without issue thanks to her Halfing trait. She quickly turned around to the Mandloiran and humming approaches him

"Hehe..That was fun Dredgen! Thanks for giving me a good fight!"

"As do I Lady Luu-Luu I also did enjoy it. I did learn a lot on what to do whenever I'm up against an Halfing."

Luu-Luu smiled at this. "Hmph good! Let's do this again another time."

"I would like that"

The Halfling again bashfully smiled at the Mandalorian "I look forward to it again with you! You seem my kind of type!"

"Type?"

Before Dredgen could even ask about that Luu-Luu has already pushed their conversations

"Welp! It's my loss." Luu-Luu said " As promised, you'll receive a prototype weapon from my people soon."

"Um..Thank you." Dredgen nods his head "May I ask what kind of weapon it is?"

Luu-Luu just grin at him "Hmph…that's a secret. You just have to wait, Dredgen"

The Mandalorian was slightly annoyed by this and was in a way pouty he kinda wants to know he's a sucker for weapons, especially the exotic types. But hey he didn't have to let Luu-Luu use his jetpack for a spin and got a new weapon from the Halfings people and knowing them it has to be good.

Dredgen puts away his spearbolt as he did he notices nearly everyone in the training area straighten up when they all saw who is here now. A group of 3 approached the training arena. It was Claudia the SHield Commander and with her is her husband Klaus and the other an elder man. Many Shield Knights bow their heads in respect toward them

"Ah! Claudia!" Luu-Luu greeted them with a smile "Saw our spar? Dredgen is pretty good, isn't he? He really gave me a good fight!"

"He certainly did." Claudia agrees "Don't you agree Klaus?"

Klaus nods his dead "A marvelous display indeed from Dredgen. As expected from a Mandalorian"

Dredgen just nods his head at their words he was not surprised to see Claudia but he was when he saw her husband here in Feoh now

"Klaus I'm surprised you're here," Dredgen said "What are you doing?"

"My wife Claudia brought me. She informed me that you've stumbled upon something that will help us against the Kuroinu."

"I see."

So there looking into what he found at the ridge, that goods. The Mandalorian then turns his head to the elder man next to him both staring at each other

The elder man looked in his 70s or so but he looks to be in great shape for his age. He had light dark skin like Klaus, had a distinctive gray receding hairline that was spiky, and a full beard. He wore a light brown tunic, over the lower half a cream color skirt, and had a large cape covering his shoulder reaching to the ground. The man was also wearing the armor of the Shield Kingdom design on his shoulder above the red cloak 2 large silver pauldrons, a pair of white braces with gold trimmings, and silver metal boots.

"So this is the Mandalorian the Goddess hired Klaus?" The elder man said

"Ah yes he is. Dredgen this is my father G-"

"Grave Levantine," The Mandalorian interrupted "General of the grand army of the Shield Kingdom"

The elder man now known as Graves raised a brow "Ah so you know who I am?

Dredgen didn't reply almost everyone in the Shield Kingdom knows who he is. Before the SHield Kingdom hired the Kuroinu to aid them in their previous war against the Dark Queen Grave Levantine was the one holding the line with his strategic mind and such. And from what he has heard he's a skillful fighter but why is he here?

Graves chuckles at the MAndaloiran's silence he can almost sense his tension with him

"I've heard so much about you. A relentless Hunter and ruthless Warrior. The Wolf people are calling you. And you were enough to help push back the Kuroinu from Feoh

"Did what I was hired to do."

Graves just hums at his answer "Hmm spoken like a Professional It's a rare sight for me to actually see a Mandalorian in person. It's been a long time since I saw one of your kind.

Dredgen was almost startled by what he heard. Graves met one before?

"You've encountered other Mandalorians before?"

"In my youth" Graves answer "The last time I ever saw one of your kind I was still a young man practically still a child as well."

Dredgen stared at the General before asking

"Was that before or after?"

"Of what?" Grave asks pretending not knowing

"You know what I'm asking about General Graves."

Claudia sense the aggressive tone from the Mandalorian's voice

"Watch your tone Dredgen this is the General of the Shield Kingdom so do show him the proper respect"

"Easy now Claudia." Graves calming his daughter-in-law "I would understand his probing question but to answer it was before and what happened to your kind was tragic. You have my condolences

The Mandalorian humms at this "I see. I'm surprised someone like you would, given that most nobility I've met so far seen me as nothing but another thug…or savage".

"Your kind may have followed a dangerous and destructive path but it has produced the greatest and honorable warriors I've come to respect."

"Well….I'm honored to hear that from the General of the Shield Kingdom."

The Generals chuckles at his respectful attitude "Hmph Which house or clan are you from young man? Perhaps one I know?"

"Probably not." Dregen answers "I was a fondling."

"A fondling?" Graves seemed surprised at his answer " So you were taken in by them at a young age I see?

"They saved my life and took me as one of their own."

"Hmmm…I should've known that your kind has a way to continue to thrive in secret despite a great number being lost in the Great Purge"

"Fondlings are the future. This is the way." Dredgen said

"Hmph, I wish I could say the same for the Levantine. My son still has yet to bear me a grandson before I pass."

Claudia and Klaus twitched at what he said which the Mandalorian took noticed

"Um Father you shouldn't mention that to said " It's not really his concern

The General realized what he said he awkwardly coughed. "Ah yes.. apologize you shouldn't have heard that."

"It's alright."

Dredgen didn't pay much mind it. Guess Graves really wanted to have a grandson before he died. Likely to follow in the Levantine's footsteps to become a warrior

"Your spar with Lady Luu-Luu was commendable and your skill as a warrior impressive I should say." Graves praises Dredgen "but I have a question for you."

"And that is?"

"You think you can best me in a duel?" Graves asks

Graves almost let a smirk when he asked at that

The Mandalorian paused at his question he stared at the General "I don't know….but I'm eager to find out."

Graves intensely stared back at Dredgen but he lets out a laugh "Ha! You have a warrior's sprint in you. I like that! As expected from a Mandalorian. Remains me of myself when I was a young man. I just wish my son would've picked up the sword instead of focusing on books"

Klaus awkwardly laughs at his father's words but Dredgen can see through that laugh of his that it really bothered him. Guess Graves didn't like that his own son didn't follow his family's footsteps to become a Shield Knight but instead became a scholar.

"If I may ask what brings the Levantine family here?" Dredgen asks "I know it's not for me"

"We're here to gather Lady Luu-Luu" Claudia answered

"What? Me?" Luu-Luu pointed at herself

"Yes." We're scheduled to have a meeting with the Shield Princesses to discuss on our war effort against the Kuroinu

"Aw what!? That's now?! Do I have to?"

"Yes." Claudia sounded firm about it " It's one of your duties as a Shield Princess.

The Halfing crossed her arms puffing her cheeks in annoyance. Guess she really didn't like attending meetings

Am I needed for this meeting as well? Dredgen asks

"Currently no". Claudia said " We will inform you when your skills are required for a task. Now come Luu-Luu the others will be arriving soon."

The Halfing groaned at this but reluctantly agreed to go. "Ugh..fine."

"This is where we part ways Sir Dredgen" Claudia said "But do expect in the next few days you'll be needed for a task."

Dredgen nods his head he expected as much. Luu-Luu went off with Levantines to go to the Shield Meetings when they were gone everyone went back to the Shield Knight Dark Queen approaches the Mandalorian she was looking off in the direction where Claudia and others went

"Hmm to think the General of the SHield Kingdom would be here in Feoh." Olga said

"You sound surprised Olga"

"I am Dredgen. Graves is a man you should not be taken lightly."

"I know"

Olga just hums at his answers "Still I thought someone like Graves would have resentment towards you because of your Mandaloiran ways. I thought he would say something vulgar.

Oh? You're concerned about me? Dredgen asks

The Dark Queen just smiled "Only to the man I'm Interested in"

"Ok now you're just teasing me."

Olga just chuckeld Hmph...Well, I must get going Dredgen. I hope our paths will cross again soon.

"As do I"

Olga bids farewell to the Mandalorian and left the training area as her Handmaiden soon followed her Queen. Soon Dredgen did the same as well

After leaving the training area and walking through the halls of the Holy Temple Dredgen muttered a quiet groan gripping his shoulder. Luu-Luu certainly didn't hold back in their spar he can still feel the sting from it but it's something he's used to. He likes that The Halfling enjoys a good fight like he does but she is lacking discipline and self-control. She is a very headstrong girl and a bit chaotic but being a little chaotic can be a good thing. Luu-Luu could perhaps fit in well as a Mandalorian given she likes to fight but Dredgen knows better she is loyal to the Shield Kingdom and he respects that of her.

Though thinking of it now way before the Great Purge even happened. He has read that there were Halfing Mandaloiroans among various clans and tribes. Still seeing a Halfing wearing Mandlaoiran armor might be a little strange to see given what he has seen them wear as of now.

Dredgen almost wanted to laugh at that thought but pushing that aside he didn't think he would meet the General of the Shield Kingdom Graves Levantine himself here in Feoh and that he was watching their spar. From what he could tell the General was very surprised to see a living Mandalorian in person in his old age believing they were wiped out in the Great Purge long ago.

The Mandalorian felt somewhat uneasy knowing that the General was alive when the Great Purge happened he said he was practically a still child when it occurred. He could've been 14 or 15 at that time or even younger and at that time it was an Empire before the reforming into the SHield Kingdom. Dredgen wonders do Graves hold any resentment toward him because he's a Mandalorian himself it doesn't seem like it. Still, the thought is very concerning that he has to be wary of someone like him even Olga feels the same way about him

Despite the General's old age and not in his prime anymore Dredgen can sense he's still a skillful and strong warrior. The way he walks, his posture, and his aura is giving off vibes that if he actually fought him the outcome is likely in Graves's favor.

The Mandalorian shook his head and pushed that thought out of his head. The General is a colleague they are both not enemies their predecessors were but as individuals now they are not. He respects him as a warrior and both have a common enemy the Kuroinu.

Just as Dredgen was pondering in his thoughts he heard a clicking noise of a door opening ahead of him. He stopped and coming out from the door was a group of Shrine Maidens holding naginata some of them noticed our Mandalorian in the halls

Walking out was The head Shrine Maiden Kaguya as always had a calm stoic look on her face. She then noticed the Bounty Hunter standing in the halls looking at them. Without even saying a word she approaches him to his surprise

"Good Afternoon Dredgen Jager." The Shrine Maiden bows her head to him

A little surprised by this but Dredgen greeted her back "Hello there, Lady Kaguya.

Kaguya stared into the visor of the Mandalorian; her calm gaze was in a way was off putting what does she need from him?

"What brings you here? The Head Shrine Maiden asks

"Just passing on through Lady Kaguya."

"I see…care to walk with me?"

Dredgen paused her request a little confused by it but played along he was heading in that direction anyway

"I don't mind."

Kaguya nods her head, she turns around and leads the Mandalorian her escort soon followed them as well.

"What were you doing ago?" Dredgen asks sounding curious

"Meditating, it helps calm and clear my mind because these past days have been very busy. And that there's that party I must attend later tonight"

"Party?"

"Oh? Are you unaware that it's tonight?"

"Ah that. Now I remember"

Dredgen recalls hearing that happening he kinda forgot about it. Since winning the first major battle the new war it seemed natural for the People of Feoh to celebrate such an accompaniment. That would explain why the city seems more lively now than before.

"Are you planning to attend?" Kaguya asks sounding curious

"No not really" Dredgen answers

"Ah..I see"

Dredgen noticed the tone in her voice was saddened at his answer did she frown?

"You seem injured."

"Hm?"

"Your shoulder." Kaguya said looking at it "It looks to be in injured Did something happen?"

Dredgen was surprised at her question on the surface you wouldn't be able to tell if he was hurt just by looking at it. He's impressed at her keen observations

"Ah this is nothing." Dredgen tried to assure her " Lady Luu-Luu and I had a sparring match. She certainly can hit hard."

Kaguya hums at this "Luu-Luu is known not to hold back in her sparring I'm surprised you didn't sustain more injuries from her."

"Well I should be lucky, We used real weapons for our spar"

Kaguya raised a brow surprised to hear that.

"You both used real weapons?"

"She insisted when she heard from me that I sometimes was trained that"

The Head Shrine Maiden stared at the Mandalorian then at his injured shoulder for a moment.

"Hmm…let me help you"

Kaguya places her hand near his shoulder she closed her eyes and quietly did a chant. Out from her hand was a shimmering light in mere moments the pain subsided. The Mandalorian was surprised by this gesture. The Head Shrine Maiden then moved her hand away

"Better?"

Dredgen moved his shoulder around and it certainly does now. He kinda wishes he was adept at magic to do these kinds of things.

"It is…thank you"

"I'm glad."

Kaguya flashed a smile at him. Dredgen was almost caught off by it so she can make an expression like that. It was rather cute to see from the Head Shrine Maiden.

Both continue walking through the halls of the Holy Temple

"You certainly made a big impact against the Kuroinu." Kaguya suddenly spoke up.

"Why do you say that?" Dredgen ask

"You thwarted their plans to kidnap Primm to be used as leverage against Alicia, helped to repeal a Kuroinu invasion from Feoh by training and arming its citizens to help defend their homes and killed one of Vaults, top field commander resulting in the first major victory in our new war. I say that is enough for me to say that."

"Valid point."

"I'm more surprised you managed to convince Alicia to train her citizen in help defend Feoh from the Kuroinu. She would've been likely against the idea I know how stubborn she is at times."

"She was but Lady Iris and Primm helped to make her see the problem of our situation if we didn't make a compromise"

"I'm assuming Alicia didn't like the idea"

"She didn't but It was for our survival and this is war, survival is our responsibility"

Kaguya raised a brow at this remembering Alicia saying that ago.

"Hmmm…You value survival a lot."

"It kept me alive so far and It's one of the Mandalorian codes that I live by"

"Ahh…more of your culture's codes I see?"

"It is."

"Hmm…It makes me wonder why we haven't seen any more of your kind before."

"We're hidden for a reason Lady Kaguya."

"Why all the secrecy?" Kaguya asks curiously

"For our survival." Dredgen answers

"Survival?"

"Our secrecy is our survival, and our survival is our strength. This is the way"

Kaguya was more intrigued at the Mandalorian when he said it "Hmm Your warrior culture continues to surprise me given what I've seen so far from you is there any more you can surprise me with?

Dredgen paused at her question well there is one he might try that many do not know about his kind culture. He looks directly at the Head Shrine Maiden and said

Ni guuror gar gemas (I like your hair.)

Kaguya stopped she raised a brow at what he said she didn't understand the language he spoke. It was something she never heard of but she can likely guess

"Was that… your culture's language?"

"It was." Dredgen answers " It was Mando'a"

Kaguya was again surprised she did not expect his warrior culture to have their own language

"Mando'a? What did you say?"

"Learn some Mando'a and find out."

Kaguya stared at him before she lets out a chuckle

"Hmph..Perhaps I will it'll be very enlightening for me"

"I hope so."

"Well I must take my leave Dredgen for I have a meeting I must attend with the other Shield Princesses."

"As you wish." Dredgen nods his head

"It's been a pleasure speaking with you again." Kaguya doing the same "I really do hope you change your mind and attend the party later tonight it'll be great to converse with you again"

Feoh Night Time

Hours passed and it was night now in Feoh the city is celebrating nearly every bar and tavern is packed with people drinking, dancing, and having a good time.

At the Holy Temple at a large ballroom, there was a party going on. Many nobles and Shield Knights were gathered. All of them wore beautiful and elegant clothing for such an occasion. It had all assortments of elegant music playing in the background, many good food and drinks for all to enjoy.

The Shield Princesses were in attendance as well even the Dark Queen and her Handmaiden as well. Celestine gave a speech to rejoice that the Shield Kingdom was the victor in the first major battle against the Kuroinu.

The party was going on about an hour or so into the night our Mandalorian was outside away from the party, not even near it. He didn't bother attending the party in the ballroom it's not his crowd really even if he did attend he doubts he'll be welcome and likely kill the mood for everyone for his rugged appearance well not all he assumes.

Dredgen was in the open area of the Holy Temple and was leaning on a balcony looking down at the city. He could practically feel the city celebrating from where he is.

"Ah so this is where you've been."

Hearing a familiar voice Turning around Dredgen was almost startled at the sight of Alicia she wasn't wearing her Shield Princess attire but rather a sexy light blue dress that had a skirt that was asymmetrical and showed off one of her sexy legs.

Alicia laughed though she can't see it she can guess he was surprised at how she looked in a dress probably stunned at her beauty. She stood next to him looking down at the city with him.

"Lady Alicia." The Mandalorian greeted

Dredgen was genuinely surprised at Alicia's appearance she look rather beautiful in it he almost didn't recognize her, but why is she here?

"Many in the ballroom were hoping to meet you Dredgen." Alicia said "They wanted to give their thanks to you in person for saving them and this city but most were disappointed at your absence Primm especially"

"I'm sorry for that but not sure I would be welcome to such a marvelous thing, it is your victory after all Lady Alicia I was just doing my job to help as requested."

Alicia chuckled and smiled at his modesty

"No it was all thanks to you. If it weren't for you Feoh would've been lost to the Kuroinu and Primm and I alongside many other ladies in this city would've been sex slaves."

"I only taught the citizens how to defend themselves nothing more. It was you that brought the Shield Kingdoms' first victory."

Alicia again chuckled at his modesty and professional tone

"Hmph..maybe but still it was you that made it possible for us to stand a chance. So again...I thank you"

"Well I'm honored to hear that"

Alicia again smiled at his words. She stood quiet for a moment she taps her fingers on the ledge a few times before taking a long and audible breath as if she has something to get off her chest.

"I…I want to say I was wrong about you."

"Oh…Wrong about me?" Dredgen asks

Alicia can sense the amused tone in his voice but felt like she kinda deserved it given how she's been treating him since first meeting him

"You already knew I thought of you just as another bounty hunter, or mercenary at first who does anything for money and that you follow a strange culture I don't understand. But after what you've done for this city, its people, and the Shield Kingdom I can see why Lady Celestine has faith in you and the Mandalorians. You've done more than any would."

Alicia looks directly at his visor almost as if she looking at him right into his eyes "I misjudged you Dredgen Jager, I…I apologize for my harsh behavior toward you at the beginning. I do hope you forgive me."

Dredgen didn't say anything yet he stared at Alicia for a moment she seemed genuine about it but he never had resentment towards her but will play along for her sake.

"Hmph Apology accepted"

Alicia let out a smile and felt a sense of relief in her when she heard that almost like a big weight on her shoulder has been lifted. She was somewhat worried Dredgen would hold a grudge against her for all the harsh things but glad he doesn't though she expected him to be the type that would. She's starting to see why her cousin Primm is interested in him

"Hmph…You know Primm told me that she said that you're a friendly person but I don't think friendly is the right word for you.

"That's what I said to her" Dredgen said

Alicia and Dredgen suddenly chuckled at the same time. It was awkward but enjoyable

"Well..what would you say about me?" The Mandalorian asks

"Hm?"

"I'm curious what the Shield Princess Alicia Arcturus herself has to say about me a simple young man?"
