Chapter 46

Acnologia had been getting antsy for the past few months. Arra had been having false contractions lately and the anticipation and anxiety was driving him mad. Every time they happened, he would race around grabbing blankets a water basin and anything that he could that might be helpful in their birth. Every time Arra would try to calm him down. He started lately to baby her not wanting her to leave the bed for even the tiniest of things. It was only during the brief times he would go out looking through the ruins that she'd get a small moment of peace without him hounding her to be careful. Taking one of those brief moments, Arra was now resting outside on a bench enjoying the warm sun. Her hand rested softly on her stomach she could feel her two restless baby girls moving softly inside her. Feeling happy and peaceful she started to sing a Elven lullaby. As she sang a breeze blew through the tree over their home softly rusling the leaves. The grassy fields and flowers danced in the morning light. The sheep and goats grazing quietly raised their heads to look at her silently. The nearby stream flowed endlessly sending out shimmering light. A fish burst quietly from the water sending water through the air. Her voice wafted out surrounding the area with a sweet serenity calming all who listened. Clouds moved overhead creating shadows before moving away creating a spotlight of sunshine focused on her. For a brief moment time was transfixed as if only she existed. From her to the land, from the land to the sea, and from the sea to the sky it was if all was connected in harmony with life itself. As the last note of her song faded into the wind Acnologia came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. His head leaned against hers, their hands clasp together in solidarity.
