29. Important Announcement

Hey everyone.

I know it's been about five and a half years since I last updated for this story, and I do apologize to everyone that I have made wait for so long… However, I have a important announcement for everyone who is currently reading this.

…This is going to be my very last update for this story, because I'm officially quitting and deleting this story.

I know this is upsetting towards all of you who have been loyally following my story and have been hoping that I would update a new chapter again, but I do have a couple of reasons as to why I am dropping and deleting it.

The first reason is because I have been writing stories ever since the second half of 2014, which has allowed me to learn and grow as a writer and how I choose to write stories, and looking back at this story has recently shown me exactly just how much of an absolute cringe fest it is. I know that 15-year-old me would disagree with what I'm saying right now, because he was so passionate about this story at the time. However, that young boy has grown up, has learned how to write better, and is even still learning how to write better. I'm sorry, but I really just can't not cringe at how I use to write back then.

The second reason is because, and some of my audience members may have noticed this, I have used quite a lot of references to an old Fairy Tail parody series called Fairy Tail Abridged Parody on YouTube (The parody is no longer on YouTube because the channel has been, presumably, deleted). The voice actor who played Natsu in that parody series, Anthony DiMascio (AKA Dizzasta), has been a personal favorite of mine throughout the whole cast, and was practically someone I considered a role model for who I wanted to be as a person… However, just last month, I've learned about the horrifying hidden truths about Anthony's behavior and how badly he acts towards people while he's not in the public eye. If any of you have access to Twitter and check out hannah_chapin's tweet from March 20th, you can read a whole thread of allegations about Anthony's horrible behavior. One of the allegations is even from his ex-wife, Carrie Johnston (AKA xbubblemunkyx)… So now I can't really look at this story without feeling ashamed for using references from a show where Anthony was practically the main star, at least from my POV.

So yeah, it's because these reasons that I am officially quitting and writing this story and deleting it entirely. Who knows, maybe I'll decide to write a new Naruto + Fairy Tail story with better character growth, interactions, and (hopefully) be able to use some references that will not age like milk. But as for this one, this story is officially over and will not be continued. Once again, I am truly sorry to everyone who really wanted to see this story get an update.

I will leave this announcement up for a month up until May 13th. Once the month has passed, I will officially be deleting this story from the internet.

Also, one more note: I now have a couple of new fanfic writing platforms on Wattpad and Archive of Our Own (AO3). My name on Wattpad is Cloud_Strife_07 and on AO3 it's CloudStrife07. My current projects can be found there, if any of you so desire to check them out. I might also decide to move my other old projects over to those platforms. As far as I know of, I'm about to leave as a writer. I'll still come around as a reader and leave some reviews for other stories, but I'm mainly moving on elsewhere for writing purposes.

Thank you all so much for reading this story, despite it being an absolute cringe fest that my 15-year-old self thought was a masterpiece. It truly meant (and still means) a whole lot to me to know that so many of you were willing to read what I write, and I sincerely hope that you will all decide to read my other stories on Wattpad and AO3. I love writing, and I will write whatever my heart desires while also trying to make sure that what I write is actually good.
