Alexandria

Laughter surrounded me. Finn and all his friends were laughing. They were telling me I was a fool to believe that he'd actually like me. My old friends and ex were here, with them, all laughing.

"You idiot!" my ex said.

"He's too good for you!" my ex best friend said.

"You should've succeeded the first time, no one's going to miss you," my ex said. "Do it the right way this time!" he said.

A gun appeared on a table in front of me. I was crying.

"You didn't actually believe I was in love with you did you?" Finn laughed, "You are pathetic just like they said. Just do it already!"

Suddenly I was jolted awake. Alexandria darted up, waking up screaming and crying.

"Baby, baby it's okay, it was just a nightmare," I said to her as I grabbed her face and tried to get her back into the real world.

"Oh God!" she cried, panicking. She was about to start hyperventilating.

"All of you were laughing at me. You told me I was a fool to believe you actually liked me. My ex was there he called me an idiot and that bitch she said you were too good for me. Then, he said I should've succeeded the first time that no one's going to miss me. Then you all started chanting do it. Then a gun appeared and…Oh god…." she started to freak out again.

"You, you laughed at me and said "You didn't actually believe I was in love with you did you? Then you called me pathetic and told me to do it. So I…I…" She buried her head in my chest and cried.

I pulled her to face me and kissed her, tears and all. "I love you so much," I said to her. "I am so happy you trust me and feel safe with me. I know they've made you insecure and scared. A dream it was only a dream. And Finn, he was there making all the walls I had built up tumble down. He showed me my insecurities were basically stupid. I felt like he was telling me I'm worth it, I'm good enough. When, before, I thought I wasn't. He loved me, truly loved me. He even said his friends liked me.

I felt like this was a dream. Then I pinched myself earning a curious look from Finn. This was reality. This was the real world. This was real. Someone loved me. Not just someone, Finn loved me. I sighed, contentedly and kissed Finn again.

"Thank you," I said to him.

I ordered our food and took Finn downstairs. I led him to one of my favorite rooms in the house the sun room, but today the sun wasn't out. It was raining, pouring. The sound of the rain on the glass soothed my nerves even more than before. I sighed and sunk into the comfy couch in the room. Finn smiled and settled in by me, before pulling me into his lap.

"So, what are your plans for today?" Finn asked me.

"Other than sitting in here during the morning rain, nothing," I said to him.

"Would you like to meet some of my friends?" he asked.

"Sure," I said with a shrug. "Why not? Exactly how many of your friends?" I said narrowing my eyes.

"Some of the wrestlers who I think you'd get along with nicely," he said with a smile.

"Oh god, okay, sure, yeah, let's do it. After we eat and I work some of it off in the dance studio. Plus I have those pole skills to show you." At this he grinned.

An hour later, we finished up eating and headed into the dance studio. Where I quickly showed off a few moves on the pole that ranged from easy to difficult. Finn was impressed.

He called up some of his friends and told them to invite some of their friends that had a desire to meet me. I was nervous so I just danced and sang it out. I gave his friend Damien the directions to my house and the gate code. Finn said he'd go get them all when they arrived and lead them in here.

He was dying for his friends to see me showcase my talents, singing, rapping, and dancing.

I had already changed into a cute outfit, and Damien was bringing Finn some clothes. I was in the dance studio nervously waiting for them all to come while I practiced some songs.

Bebe Rexha's "Sacrifice" started playing. I sang and danced along to the song. I was obsessed with her. Her music was amazing, she had a unique voice, and she was a boss bitch. Saying that I looked up to her would be an understatement.

I noticed during the song, some of Finn's friends started to arrive. I didn't let it get me nervous. I carried on. Seeing as I played it so much, Black Pink's "Pink Venom" started playing. I smiled and got into it. I felt more and more eyes on me as time drug on. I smiled and got into the song when Itzy's "Boys Like You" played.

When the song ended, I went over to my system and cut the music off. Then the nerves started settling in. New people, even though I've been around them at school. They didn't know me. I didn't fully know them. A little bit of dread filled me. Finn came over to me and put an assuring arm around my waist and smiled down at me.

I had to trust him. I had to trust them. Finn assured me they were good people. I took in a breath and prepared to introduce myself to them.

"Finn you really do know how to pick em," Damien spoke up. "It's nice to officially meet you Alexandria."

"I, for one, have to admit it's nice seeing you two finally together," Rhea spoke up.

"So, do you have a nick name we can call you because Alexandria, while beautiful, is a mouthful," Damien said.

"Alexa," I replied, "People used to call me Alex, but my childhood best friend calls me Alexa," I said.

"Alexa," Damien said, "I like it. It's nice to finally meet you again."

"You too," I smiled. "Finn are you going to introduce me to everyone?"

"Well you've met Damien and Rhea," Finn said. "This here is Dominik, over there is Seth and Becky, who I've known for ages. The short blonde and pink haired girl I think you may have seen in class is Lexi. This gorgeous lass with the long braid is Bianca and that's her boyfriend Montez and his best friend Angelo. The blonde little firecracker there is Liv, and next to her is Raquel, the hulking guy next to her is her boyfriend Adam we call him Braun. Over there is AJ, Karl and Luke, I told you about them. And over there those tatted up Samoans Roman, Jimmy, Jey, and Solo, and the gorgeous lass with Jimmy is Trinity. This is just a few of the wrestling specialists, they were eager to meet ya."

"I mean you have talked all of our heads off about her," Becky spoke up. Finn turned red and shot daggers at Becky which made me laugh.

"Tell me about it, he wouldn't shut up about you, so smart, so gorgeous, always wondering what you're doing," Seth added.

"Obsessed," Becky said with a chuckle in a picking tone.

"Enough," Finn growled.

"Come on guys leave Finn alone," Lexi chuckled. "It's sweet. Besides this one's been so mysterious." She came up and squeezed my shoulder. "You've been hiding a big talent."

"She's amazing," Liv commented. "Are you just shy? You shouldn't be. You seem really cool."

"She has her reasons," Finn said in a warning tone.

"It's fine Finn," I assured him as I put a hand on his chest.

"You've always seemed like you were hiding," Lexi said. "I knew there had to be a reason why…"

"It's okay," I assured him, "Yes, I was betrayed by everyone I thought was my friend. The one I thought I loved was secretly having a trist with the one who I thought was my best friend. I caught them, they all turned on me, bullied me. I did something really stupid and my real best friend, one I've known almost my whole life, she saved me.

"I picked up, moved on, again, and well, now here I am. Yes, I'm afraid to let people in, but Finn has promised me that all of his friends are good people. He's assured me that all of you have wanted to get to know me. So yeah, here I am."

Everyone looked at me with solemn faces. I shrugged and smiled. "Don't feel sorry for me," I said. "I'm a new person now. The old me died that night and out of the ashes a new me was born. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes. I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me and pitying me. I just want to start over. I've been through hell to get here where I am now. I guess I just need people I can trust. Friends."

"Look no further," Damien smiled.

"How about we get out of here and go to my girl cave?" I said as I looked at everyone. "I have drinks."

"I'm in," Karl spoke up.

"Of course you are," AJ said and rolled his eyes. Everyone laughed.

I led everyone out of my dance studio and down a hall into my girl cave. Inside was a bar, a TV, some game systems, and snacks. Everyone all found a place to sit and we all started talking. I told everyone a little bit more about myself, and, in turn, got to know them better.

I chuckled, "Thank you Christina Aguilera. I have everything here ordered by designer and color. If it's not designer it's over there (I pointed) and it's arranged accordingly. Over there is my vanity with all my makeup. And here, I said as I opened up a case with my thumb print is all my jewelry."

"I take it that's all real," Trinity piped in.

"Guilty," I shrugged. "Some of it inherited. Some of it bought myself."

"Look at that rock," Lexi said as she pointed to an huge emerald cut diamond ring.

"That was my grandmother's engagement ring," I said with a smile. "My aunts weren't really happy about me getting that."

"They'll get over it," Lexi said.

"She passed it down to me with the intention of it being my engagement ring one day," I said as I looked at it and sighed. The girls all shared a knowing look. I eyed them suspiciously.

"I see those eyes ma'am," Bianca said.

"Come on, we all know Finn wants to marry the girl," Rhea said. "Hell, he's even said he was."

"Say what?" I said in a stupor.

Rhea came up and put an arm around my shoulder, "Oh the times that boy has looked at you and said "I'm gonna marry that girl one day.""

"He really does love me," I mused with a dreamy smile. Lexi smiled and put her arm around me too.

"You have no idea how happy he is to finally have you girl," Lexi said. "I know you think he's been a complete asshole. But in all seriousness he's in love with you. Madly, deeply in love. And all of us know it."

"We all know how he feels about you. What we wanna know is how do you feel about him." Becky spoke up. "That guy is like my brother. And I know how he feels about you. If you don't think you feel about him the way he does about you, you need to let him down now before it goes too far."

"Chill Becks," I said to her, "I'm in love with him too."

"You are?" Lexi cooed. A big smile broke out on my face.

"You love him," Becky said with a smile. "I can see it written all over your face."

"I'm pretty sure I do," I said. "He wanted me to get to know all of you. So, I agreed to do it even if it made me uncomfortable at first. Because, yes, I think I do love him."

"Oh my god, this is awesome!" Lexi grinned.

"Yes," I nodded with a smile.

"Us wrestlers, we're all close knit, and this isn't everyone, this is just a few of us, the one's who were most curious about you," Becky said. "We're some of the ones who know how much you mean to him. We're like a family. If you're serious about this, then you're a part of us all."

"I haven't really had a family, so that…that would be amazing," I said to her with a smile.

"Welcome to the family, then," Rhea said as she clapped me on the back.

"All of us girls and the guys, we've got your back," Becky said.

"Yes, if you need anything, we're all here for you," Lexi said.

"Thank you, all of you," I said with a smile.

"What are ya waiting for hug the girl?" Becky said. One by one the girls all came and hugged me. It felt good. It felt real.

I showed the girls some of my favorite outfits. Let some of them try on some things and promised to let them borrow some things. We all made plans to go out to the restaurant Finn took me to as a group and eat soon.

We talked about makeup and girl stuff while the guys were downstairs. We were laughing and carrying on all like besties when we made it back down to the guys.

I went and took a seat by Finn. He put an arm around me and kissed my cheek. I smiled at him and he winked at me.

"We have a dinner date for all of us planned when everyone has time," Becky spoke up. "Alexa here's loaning clothes and shoes and offered to help with hair and makeup. Guys your girls are going to look great!"

"Seriously we've seen pictures of this one's makeup jobs, she's fantastic!" Lexi said.

"I see you girls are getting along fine," Finn said to me.

I smiled, "They've welcomed me into you guys' little family."

"So ya like everyone?" Finn asked quietly.

"I do," I nodded and kissed him. "Thank you."

We all sat around and watched a movie or two. Everyone left little by little and in the end it was just me Finn, Damien, Rhea, and Dominik. Finn and me were cuddled up on one of the couches him whispering sweet things in my ear. Rhea looked over at us and smiled and tapped the boys on the shoulder.

"We're going to get going," Rhea said.

"Aw, come on ya'll don't have to do that!" I said in protest.

"You two need time alone," Damien said with a smile as he came and hugged me goodbye. "You better treat her right, I'll kick your ass," he said to Finn.

"You and me both!" Dominik said as he hugged me.

"If I don't get to him first," Rhea added as she hugged Finn and me both. "Enjoy your time alone you two."

"I'll walk ya'll out," I said to the three of them.

"Don't forget about me!" Finn said as he got up and ran after us making us all laugh.

Finn and I walked the remaining bit of his friends out and then went back inside and cuddled up to each other on the couch. Finn peppered me with kisses before my growling stomach interrupted us.

"Why didn't you tell me you were hungry?" he said.

"I didn't really realize it until now," I admitted.

"What are you hungry for?" he asked.

"As long as we order in, I don't care," I said. "I just want to relax around the house."

"Sounds like a plan to me babe," he said as he kissed me. "Chinese okay for you?"

"Sure," I shrugged and smiled. "Order us whatever you like, I'm paying tonight, no objections. Make sure you get enough for the two of us. Got it?"

Finn went to the door to get the food. I joined him and handed over the money along with a nice tip for the delivery guy. He looked at me and told me I gave him too much. I looked at him and smiled and said, "Nope, that's all yours. Have a good night. Thank you!"

After I closed the door Finn, bags of food in hand leaned down and kissed my forehead. "You made his night."

"I know," I smiled, "Now come on let's get into this food!"
