"It was fine." Missy said, forcing a large smile on her face, one that Weiss could easily see through. It was a gift, being able to see past ones' defenses, their fake smiles and laughter. The poor girl must've had a rough day at school.

"That's good." Weiss beamed, turning her head ever so slightly towards her friend. If Missy wanted to talk about it, Weiss would be there to listen, but she wouldn't poke at it if she didn't want to. She learned that from Blake. "Do you want to join us? Vicky here-" Victoria Dallon was annoyingly persistent when it came to nicknames, and had finally worn down the former heiress. "-Is telling me about the time she took on the Fugly Bob challenge."

"N-No thanks!" Missy squirmed in place, and scratched the back of her head. "I have a lot of homework that I need to catch up on and stuff."

"Don't study so hard Little V." Victoria gave the shorter blonde a wink while Weiss nodded slowly. "College is a scam."

"Aren't you taking college classes?" Missy's voice trailed off, looking a bit uncomfortable. She must've been really tired. Once Victoria was gone and annoying Dean she would go and make a snack for her. Something easy that wouldn't burn like those pop tarts Dennis likes so much.

"That's how I know." Victoria bursted out laughing and held her hand out for Weiss to slap. She only received an unamused stare in return.

"Just ignore her Missy." Weiss sighed, ignoring the offered high five. "But do take it easy, too much studying can be bad for you, and make sure to eat something." Winter forcing her to eat in the middle of her long study sessions had ingrained the lesson in Weiss' mind.

"Thanks." Missy said, avoiding meeting Weiss' eyes this time. "I'll go now, you two have fun."

Hmm, hot chocolate should be able to do the trick, it worked for Weiss once before with-

"So anyways, Mom banned me from Fugly's for a month, something about clogging the pipes." Victoria went back to her story. "But Dean was also there and Ames helped me pin the blame on him instead."

Weiss wrinkled her nose and shook her head slowly. "You're disgusting." She really did act like Yang, albeit with a tad more class.

"Just on Tuesdays." Victoria's eyes trailed to Weiss' hands. "Ooo! Your nails are so pretty!"

Yang would have loved her.

Missy spent at least an hour locked in her room, brooding like Owlman from Dennis' comics from Aleph. She didn't hate Victoria, truly she didn't, but she did get on Missy's nerves sometimes. She actually liked the older blonde, Victoria was everything Missy strived to be. She was just…perfect. Well, aside from causing hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth in damages, Big V was perfect. She was smart, strong, and beautiful, everything that Missy wasn't. Blinking her eyes, the young Ward stared at the blank worksheets that were spread out on her bed.

She wasn't lying when she said had homework though, her school always made sure to give her makeup packets of work when Ward duties interrupted her classes. It sucked since that meant her turn at the console would be spent on homework in between calls. Groaning softly and shoving her face against her blankets, Missy's musings was interrupted by a knock at her door.

Her head shot up, rolling onto her back. "Who is it?"

"Jabba the Hutt." Weiss' muffled voice answered dryly which made Missy smile a bit. Dennis decided to restart movie night, and proceeded to start with all the Star Wars movies like the geek he was. "Can I come in?"

"Sure." Missy said just loud enough to be heard. The door handle didn't move, but she did manage to hear some kind of struggle in the hallway.

"Can you uh, open the door please? My hands are kinda full." Weiss' sigh was audible, even with the door blocking sounds.

Jumping up from her bed, Missy would have made it to her door faster if her legs were just a few inches longer, but she still closed the gap rather quickly. She opened the door, revealing Weiss holding two cups with steam still coming from whatever liquids they held.

"What's up?" Missy didn't see Victoria with her, or hear the loud blonde. Did she leave already? She took a step to the side to let the white haired girl in.

"Just made you something even I can't burn." Weiss hummed, holding out one of the hot mugs in Missy's direction. "And Carlos banned me from cooking without supervision."

Missy carefully grabbed the steaming hot mug and took a deep breath. Mmm, it smelled like chocolate. She took a small sip.

"Careful, it's pretty hot." Weiss held her own mug without any issue, most likely cheating by using her aura to prevent any burns. Missy wouldn't know all the details until Weiss' classes on Earth-R, which was going to be a few days from now.

"Thanks." Missy gently blew air into her cup as Weiss made her way to her bed, grabbing one of her homework sheets.

"Don't mention it." Weiss smiled as she scanned the math paper. Taking a small sip from her mug, she finally looked up. "At least math is the same everywhere. If you ever need help I'm here for you."

"Why did you say that last part like that?" Missy sat on her bed. What was the older girl up to?

Weiss placed the paper to the side, sitting next to Missy. "I speak four languages, sometimes I have to translate the sentence in my head before talking about it." That sounded like an excuse knowing how smart Weiss actually was.

She poked Missy's cheek, earning the newest member of the Wards a soft glare. "And because I'm here for you. You're my friend after all, right?"

Missy's insides felt like they were warming up, it was probably the hot chocolate. She felt so stupid for being jealous. Weiss had the right to have other friends, she was all alone in a world that wasn't hers. "Y-Yeah."

"Good." Weiss stood up, and gave Missy a nervous glance. "The hot chocolate wasn't too sweet right?"

Missy shook her head quickly. "No, no!" She looked down at the mug she held with two hands.

"It's perfect."

A/N

It feels nice, getting back into the groove of writing. Now I need to update My Little Schnee before going back to Hero or Huntress and Lore Khepri.

Its time for Weiss to turn Worm into a musical.

Thank you for reading!
